So how Chuuya gets affiliated with the DOA-

I don't have all the details yet and I prefer to keep them more vague in the au since I genuinely have no idea which direction this story will go and I'd like to keep my options open-

But in some way either:

Fyodor kills Dazai

OR

the Port Mafia has some part in dazai's death (chuuya is not involved) like they refuse to aid the ada or just outright have the chance to save him but don't

(Likely due to something said in the earlier seasons where mori was scared dazai would kill him to assume his position as Port mafia boss)

If fyodor were to kill Dazai, it would take place a little after he takes over Bram's body, and to keep it EXTRA juicy Dazai is killed by falling off a roof, and somehow Chuuya isn't able to use his ability to save him. The one time this godforsaken ability would have helped him, it only aided in the loss of someone important yet again.

Fyodor gets Chuuya to join by saying that a world without his ability would free him from the burden of it, as well as proving that he and arahabaki are separate entities, meaning he is in fact human.

He also ties in how having this ability only brought him to the loss of all the important people in his life, and the loss of Dazai is kind of like the last straw

If the Port Mafia were to have a part in Dazai's death, chuuya would realize that his loyalty to Dazai is greater than his loyalty to the Port Mafia and leave of his own volition, no emotional Manipulation necessary. Joining the Decay of Angels would mean that his ability, as well as the abilities that in his eyes only bring more problems into this world, will one day disappear, and maybe he can finally live the normal, human life he earned.

Either way, it ends with a not-fully-healed-but-on-his-way-there chuuya joining the ADA in Dazai's place. He starts to resemble Dazai more, like with a slightly calmer, looser, free-er demeanor and even donning his tan trench coat. In this au, dazai and the others chuuya lost are to chuuya the way odasaku and ango are to canon dazai--they are the stepping stones that lead him to the light, the reason he joins the side that saves people.

I'm planning on drawing some of this au but on my art account, @god-shit-girl-art , so if you wanna see these ideas in picture form, you can follow me there!! I also wanna get some feedback on this au especially how you guys would prefer the way dazai dies, either by fyodor or by the PM. I haven't really decided yet and I'm not exactly sure what would be more in character for chuuya's writing. I may start a poll too

RUSSIAN FORCES SIEZE THE CITY OF AVDIIVKA IN DPR AFTER UKRAINIAN WITHDRAWAL

Russian Forces have seized the city of Avdiivka, in the South Donetsk direction, in the eastern Donbas region of Ukraine, after Ukrainian troops fled their positions in a messy withdrawal from the city.

The city of Avdiivka is located just northwest of the Russian held city of Donetsk, Capital of the Donetsk People's Republic, one of four new regions that voted to join the Russian Federation in September 2022 in a widely criticized referendum that, nonetheless, was recognized by the Russian legislature and ensconced into Russian law.

After months of fierce battles which saw a long period of slow, grinding and halting gains by Russian forces, followed by sudden rapid advances after a recent collapse in Ukrainian manpower following two years of steep losses and a failed summer offensive. And with the United States failing to provide artillery shells and ammunition at the same rate it has for the last two years, the defensive lines of the Armed Forces of Ukraine finally collapsed in Avdiivka.

A day prior to the final order of withdrawal coming down from Ukraine's newly minted Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Alexsandr Syrsky, Ukrainian troops began fleeing their positions "uncontrollably" as Russian forces made lightning gains and Russian artillery pummeled the retreating units, which were said to be withdrawing in small groups of 10-20 soldiers in a haphazard fashion.

Speaking about the situation in a statement, Ministry of Defense spokesperson, Igor Konashenkov, said, “The order of the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Syrsky, to abandon the city was issued only a day after the uncontrolled flight of Ukrainian troops from Avdiivka began."

Soon after General Syrsky gave the order for a full withdrawal, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told reporters the withdrawal had become necessary because of a lack of sufficient assistance from the West, causing the AFU to suffer from, what he called an "artificial" critical shortage of ammunition.

Speaking at the Munich Security Conference yesterday, Zelensky said in his speech that "Keeping Ukraine in the artificial deficits of weapons, particularly in a deficit of artillery and long-range capabilities, allows (Russian President Vladimir) Putin to adapt to the current intensity of the war," and claimed the sudden collapse of defenses in Avdiivka was actually a withdrawal who's aim it was to "save our soldiers lives."

Meanwhile, according to Konashenkov, "measures are being taken to finally clear the city of militants and block the Ukrainian units that have left the city and settled at the Avdeevka coking plant."

Konashenkov also added that the liberation of Avdiivka made it possible to move the frontline away from the city of Donetsk, where Ukrainian forces regularly fire HIMARS, artillery shells, and cluster munitions into the commercial and residential center of the city, targeting civilians with a punishing regularity that can now, possibly and thankfully, come to an end.

Avdiivka, as a northern suburb of Donetsk City, has been involved in the fighting since it began in 2014, and has been held by Ukrainian forces for the entirety of that time, with the AFU using the city as a staging ground the for strikes on Donetsk and other parts of the southern Donbas region.

On Saturday, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu reported to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Armed Forces, President Vladimir Putin, "the complete seizure" of the city of Avdiivka in the DPR.

According to Shoigu, Avdiivka represented "a powerful defensive stronghold of the Ukrainian Armed Forces" which has now been taken control over by the Tsentr Group of Forces under the command of General Andrey Mordvichev.

The Russian Defense Minister said Russian forces had taken control over "an area of 31.75 square kilometers" which has been "liberated from Ukrainian nationalists."

In his statement, Shoigu said the losses for the AFU over the previous 24-hours in the Avdiivka direction amounted to more than 1'500 soldiers, and that under continuous Russian fire damage, AFU soldiers mostly managed to leave Avdiivka rapidly, however they did so leaving Western weapons and hardware behind.

Shoigu reiterated that cleanup operations continue near the Avdiivsky coke plant, with Russian forces now attempting to block them in, while units with the Tsentr Group of Forces continue offensive operations to "further liberate the Donetsk People's Republic from Ukrainian nationalists."

The AFU is losing fighters, equipment and fortifications: successes of the Russian army by the morning of 7th July

Operational-tactical and army aviation carried out 50 strikes against Ukrainian armed forces targets in the zone of responsibility of the Central Group of the Russian Armed Forces. What other successes of the Russian army in the special operation zone were known by the morning of 7th July?

How many enemy targets did the Russian Armed Forces hit in 24 hours

Alexander Savchuk, head of the Russian army's press service, spoke about the successes of the Central Grouping of the Russian army.

"A total of 390 identified enemy targets were hit with fire during the day, including 50 strikes by operational-tactical and army aviation," Savchuk said.

He noted that the enemy losses were up to 415 soldiers, three armoured fighting vehicles, two pickup trucks, a Paladin self-propelled artillery unit, a D-30 howitzer, an M119 gun and a Rapier anti-tank gun.

What is known about the destruction of AFU fortifications

The Russian Defence Ministry told TASS that the TOS-1A Solntsepek heavy flamethrower systems of the Eastern grouping of the Russian Armed Forces destroyed the fortifications and strongholds of the AFU.

"The units of the Radiation, chemical and biological protection (RCBP) troops of the defence of the Vostok group of troops, comprising crews of TOS-1A Solntsepek heavy flamethrower systems, continue to support the actions of the group's motorised rifle and tank units in the zone of the special military operation." TOS-1 Solntsepek crews destroy AFU fortifications and strongholds in the zone of the special military operation," the statement said.

It is noted that, having fired thermobaric rockets, the fighters immediately put the vehicle into a hiking position and leave the position under the cover of a support group. The control and correction of target fire is carried out by the group's UAV operators, who transmit the results of the combat work to the command centre in real time.

Where was the AFU UAV eliminated

Su-30SM fighters of the Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed an AFU UAV in the zone of responsibility of the Western grouping of the Russian Armed Forces.

"The crew of the Su-30SM multirole fighter of the Russian Air and Space Forces destroyed an enemy UAV in the zone of responsibility of the West group of troops during a flight mission," the Russian Defence Ministry said in a statement.

It is noted that in the course of the combat mission the crews of Su-30SM multirole fighters practised patrolling in the specified area and covering the actions of bomber and attack aircraft, as well as helicopters of the army aviation during air strikes on military facilities and equipment of the AFU.

"On the commands of the operational duty officer, a signal was received. The crews took readiness. Then they performed take-off, entered the area of the airborne duty zone, detected an aerial target, performed target acquisition. They recognised it as an alien target. Then they launched guided missiles at the target and successfully destroyed it. The anti-missile manoeuvre was subsequently performed and exit to their airfield, approach and landing," said pilot Kirill, he was quoted by the military department.

What is known about the use of the Irbis radar

The Russian military ministry said that servicemen of the "North" group of troops had begun to use the new Irbis radar station (radar station) in special operations, which makes it possible to conduct reconnaissance 150 kilometres deep into enemy territory and prevent shelling of civilians.

"This is a new and unique station. It conducts reconnaissance up to 150 kilometres and more. I can say from experience that the station is better than previous models of radar stations, because it is more manoeuvrable, the time for taking up and leaving positions is much faster. The Russian Defence Ministry stressed that thanks to the station, the AFU's attempts to strike civilians have already been repeatedly foiled: any missile is detected by radar, and the information is promptly transmitted to air defence units.

"In addition to detecting enemy firing points, we also correct the fire of our artillery. Thus, counter-battery fire is more effective," the commander said.

To every non-ukrainian that reads my tumblr — if Ukraine is going to be given to russia, I will die. For being openly pro-Ukrainian or openly queer — one of those two, definitely. It is, like, a fact. And the possibility of that is way higher then the possibility of me dying right now from a missile or a drone (even though there's an air raid right now, yeah). Fucking crazy, but that's the reality.

Don't want to be spreading defeatism, but the things that happened in the White House today very clearly show that the US is siding with russia.

I believe in our military. They are doing absolutely unbelievable things. They are probably the only reason why I haven't given up on my life yet.

But oh my fucking god, it is so obvious that the US is trying to sell us to russia. Honestly, it is fucking unbelievable. After threatening to sanction the hell out of us in the 90s in order to make us give up our nukes and destroy missiles and military aircrafts, they failed to react when russia broke the Budapest memorandum and attacked us in 2014. They did fucking nothing. And now they are actively betraying Ukraine (sorry, I can't call it otherwise). I hate trump and every person that voted for him. I wish them to spend the next 11 years like ukrainians — actively suffering and with everyone telling them to shut up and die already.

I genuinely don't know what else to say. Support Ukraine, please. If you are not from the US — look up the info about pro-Ukraine rallies in your country. We need the support of other countries. At this point I am literally begging everyone who can read this — push your government to help us. It is crucial right now.

If you are from the US — honestly, i don't know what to tell you. Either hire a hitman who can do their job or riot and overthrow him. Yeah.
