Every time I think of the "Antler Queen", I can't help but think of Artemis.

If this is the form the Wilderness chooses...

Antlers are the most obvious reference, deer being commonly associated with Artemis. Moreover, the character's clad her colours, white and silver. Not to mention, she's wearing a veil - often the symbol of maidenhood.

Most important, though, might be the hunt. The deity in Yellowjackets is fixated on the hunt, demanding it as a form of worship. In a way, it's a game preceding the blood sacrifice, and the feast. In Ancient Greece, games were a common way of honouring gods; as for feasts, they followed sacrifices, the flesh of the animals being consumed by worshippers.

Oh, I almost forgot - childbirth is too a traditional domain of Artemis. The Wilderness is invoked when Shauna gives birth in the show, appearing to save her, even though the baby perishes.

Now, I know this post is very abstract, and I may be reaching, but it's just some musings that came to mind.

Btw Daniela is a self insert I’ve never really talked about but she’s for a donghua series called Throne of Seal which is… quite fun! It’s not fantastic but it’s character designs are off the shits and i love that series for it. Mayhaps one day i will talk about throne of seal…
