Cormac was born to loving parents in Dublin, Ireland, the eldest of three.

Early in his schooling, it became clear that he was struggling and after some tests, he was diagnosed with ADHD. This led to some bullying from the other children.

Music and sports became his school outlet and helped stop the bullying. He became more popular and soon was the main guy in the year that everyone wanted to be around. This switch from the bullied kid to the most popular was hard to process. It led to a lot of anxiety and he became more internal in his thoughts.

This internal struggle with his ADHD, popularity, and previous bullying all came out in his music. At school, he masked and played the role everyone expected of him (similar to Ted Lasso) but at home he would break down and have anxiety attacks. Writing and strumming on his guitar were what calmed him.

Life in the small suburb of Dublin had always felt stifling. Although he was popular, he wasn't being his true self, and he felt like he didn't belong.

Moved to the US at 21 to chase dreams of being a musician. Started to experiment with his appearance and image, which he felt was more of him.

The attention of American women was a whirlwind, and he was somewhat of a lothario in his early twenties. He fell in and out of love quickly, much to the frustration of the women, until one woman stole his heart, and he was head over heels for her.

They moved to her hometown of Hollow Creek to set up a home together. He found work in the local bar where he would play some live sets for extra money.

She was driving to pick him up from work one fatal, stormy night but never made it. The car had been written off, and it was a closed casket. He never got to say goodbye.

Currently, working and singing, unable to process the grief. He is interested in investigating the town and the spooky happenings to distract from the pain of his ex. The anxiety attacks from his teenage years have returned, but like then, he masks it all behind the smile of the friendly Irish barman.

RELATO CORTO BASADO EN UN SUEÑO SOBRE KLAUS MIKAELSON

No me había vuelto loca. Sabía  que ese tipo me perseguía. Aunque creía que no me podía hacer daño. Estaba en la feria del pueblo de mi madre, rodeados de gente, así que suponía que si me quería hacer daño, no podía hacerlo ahí. De todos modos, tenía que salir de ese ambiente. Mi instinto me dicía que huyera, que no estaba segura. Así que me alejé poco a poco de la gente para no levantar sospechas. Cuando me encontraba a una distancia prudente, eché a correr.

No sé cuanto tiempo había corrido. En ese momento me encontraba en el cementerio del pueblo, que estaba en el centro. Me había escondido allí porque no tenía otro lugar donde hacerlo. Tenía razón al intuir  que ese perturbado me seguía, pues al poco de salir yo de entre la gente, me había seguido de nuevo.

. Ya desesperada por no saber qué más hacer, me acordé de que tenía el número de esa persona...Aunque él vive en Nueva Orleans, también ha vivido en el pueblo de mi madre durante algunos años...incluso él ya viviendo allí en Nueva Orleans, había pasado aquí algunas temporadas. Yo le conocí porque había venido más de una vez a comprar algunas cosas al negocio de mis tíos, y había veces que yo les había echado una mano en verano cuando podía. Es más, yo le atendí una de las veces que vino. Es verdad que era un hombre muy atractivo. Medía1,80, tenía el pelo rubio rizado y los ojos azules. Aunque aparte de todo eso, me daba miedo porque sabía quién es realmente. Sabía que era un vampiro, es más, él era uno de los vampiros Originales. Eran nada más y nada menos que cinco. Klaus era un híbrido y aunque aparentaba tener 25 años,, tenía más de 1000. 

Tras un momento de reflexión, decidí llamarle. A lo mejor no era buena idea, ya que estaría haciendo lo que sea que hiciesen los vampiros súper longevos como él. Pero bueno, no se perdía nada con intentarlo... Marqué su número y él me contestó enseguida:

- Hola amor, cuánto tiempo.

- Klaus - le interrumpí muy asustada y sin aliento. Respiré hondo un momento, tratando de tranquilizarme y continué: - Te he llamado porque necesito tu ayuda. Él guardó silencio, lo que intuí que era para que yo siguiese hablando. Resulta que hay un vampiro aquí en el pueblo de mi madre, y no es de los buenos. Me ha empezado a acosar mientras estaba en los puestos de la feria. He salido huyendo y me ha empezado a perseguir otra vez

- ¿Cómo dices? - Preguntó, sorprendido ante esas palabras. ¿Te encuentras bien?

- Sí, no te preocupes. He corrido por todo el pueblo, y ahora mismo estoy escondida en el cementerio. Te he llamado para ver si tú podías hacer algo, ya que eres un vampiro muy fuerte por ser parte de uno de los Originales

- Amor...

- Sí, ya lo sé- Le corté - No es una buena idea, pero no tenía otra opción. Aunque a lo mejor no te interesa ayudarme. Total, solo soy una simple humana para alguien como tú y no te importa nada de lo  que haga.

- Espera-me cortó - ¿Cómo que no me importa? Claro que sí lo haces, es más, ya te quedé claro que me llamas la atención, que me fascinas.

Aprovechando que no me podía ver, me sonrojé ante esas palabras, y simplemente le contesté: 

- Bueno, ¿entonces vienes? Ese loco me encontrará pronto.

-Claro que sí. Enseguida voy para allá-y colgó

Mientras le esperaba, pensé en eso que me había dicho. Era verdad que me apreciaba, aunque lo único que yo podía sentir hacia él era miedo, pero, ¿qué si no más podía sentir hacia él que no fuese ese sentimiento?¡ Él era un vampiro Original, y había matado a mucha gente, tanto vampiros ordinarios como humanos y que podía acabar también con mi vida! Para él solo era una simple humana, y además no me quería arriesgar a estar mucho con él, pues sabía lo que le había ocurrido a su antiguo amor, Camille O' Connell, al entrar en su mundo varios años atrás.

Camille era una humana, que había sido convertida en vampiro y había sido asesinada a manos de otro amor suyo, que además se llamaba como yo. Su nombre completo era  Aurora De Martel. 

- Por fin te encontré - me dijo el malvado vampiro, interrumpiendo mis pensamientos.

Jadeé asustada, tratando de correr hacia el lado contrario, pero él se movió más deprisa por sus habilidades vampíricas, y me cortó el paso, pero un momento después una conocida voz resonó a nuestras espaldas:

- ¿Por qué no te metes con alguien de tu tamaño? Además, ¿no crees que es de cobardes asustar a una simple humana? - Preguntó Klaus

- Klaus... - susurré yo, todavía muerta de miedo. Me miró un momento, y rápidamente los dos vampiros se enzarzaron en una pelea en la cual ganó Klaus, dejando al otro vampiro insconsciente. Se acercó a mí, y se aseguró de que no estaba herida. Cuando acabó, lo único que pude hacer fue lanzarme a sus brazos.

TJ was born Tristian Connell De Martel. He is the son of Declan and Aurora. He was born in French and was raised by the famous chef and his immortal mother. Aurora was born in Crosshaven, County Cork, Ireland to Stephen and Fiona Phillips (née Connell). Her parents separated when she was two and divorced when she was four, and her father returned to London where he began a career in politics. Aurora was a bright child, clever and inquisitive, with a vivid imagination and very little fear...much to her mother’s dismay. Her father insisted that his child was going to grow up to be someone important, so he demanded that she begin attending a private boarding school at the age of seven. Aurora hated it, hated being away from her beloved mum, and as a result began hating her father. As she grew older that hatred for him widened to encompass everything that he was and everyone he associated with, and as a result she decided to build a career out of bringing him down. 

It wasn’t until she was at university that she realized there were so many corrupt politicians (her father not least among them) and her determination to work toward bringing their misdeeds to light became a crusade. Rumors of abuse of the system, fraud, domestic violence and sexual abuse fueled her passion for her job despite the dangers it presented - because unscrupulous men in positions of power wouldn’t let a little girl with a laptop bring them low, and death threats were just part of the game she played. She created a network of informants, hackers and spies, sources of the information that she poured into her stories, people she relied upon to help her shed light upon the darkness that lived under the protective umbrella of money and power.

INFJ Grip Experience In Fiction: Camille O’ Connell From The Originals

After Cami becomes a vampire, she begins struggling with feelings of insecurity about her physical abilities to defend herself against more experienced vampires. Cami becomes hyperaware of her lower Se, and tries to overcompensate with the impulsive strategy to steal Klaus’s white oak. She doesn’t think through her plan as well as she normally does, and impulsively acts to get her dark objects back despite Vincent telling her it puts a target on her back. In the end, a witch steals the white oak, and Cami realizes what she did was wrong and goes back to her Ni being in charge.

In addition, Camille begins to see Klaus as a scapegoat after he takes away her dark objects, blaming him for her weaker connection to Se. She becomes cold, calculating and fearful that she won’t be able to protect herself from Aurora if she escapes, or from other, more experienced vampires. After Cami comes out of the grip of Se, she sees that what she did was wrong, and begins to use her functions in a more healthy way again.

To the Hounds, er, to the Humans

The endless myriad of voices and hums and assorted sounds in the great auditorium suddenly hushed, as eyes and ears and sensors of all types turned towards the regal figure of an Aquiste stepping out from the Committee’s chamber. Six legs resignedly padded down the aisle towards the podium, echoing in the sudden silence. Upon reaching it, Khelik Yu-ren, Speaker of the Comittee, turned his rectangle pupils to the assembled audience of diplomats, reporters, and military leaders. He took a deep inhale from his canister of nitrogen gas before speaking.

“Honored diplomats, emissaries, and liaisons. Tireless reporters, writers, and documentarians. Brilliant generals, wing commanders, and fleet captains. The Pan-Species Galactic Committee has reached an agreement.”

The veteran of the Libra-Ræn War swept his scarred gaze across the room of beings before continuing, as if to gauge the mood in the packed room.

“As you all know, the forces of the Aesique hive-mind have been at war with the Pan-Species Galactic Alliance for over ten years now. Many hundreds of thousands of all of our brethren have died in battle, and millions more have perished in the hive-mind’s senseless campaign of pillaging and wanton slaughter. We have done our best to uphold the ideals of the Alliance in the face of this war, but our efforts have been in vain. The Aesique care not for galactic law, nor for basic decency or even simple compassion.”

“You all remember the tragedy of the GSS Codex, when unwilling, bio-engineered prisoners-of-war killed Captain Uroth Ens’el of the Yuun-el, before plunging the non-military, unarmed ship into the city of Varasio and killing a hundred thousand more. And that is only the most recent disaster of the war. Who can forget the Massacre of Neireg Moon, or the artificial eruption of Rein d’Ghan? Who remembers the poisoning of the Jiane River? Or the destruction of L’ereh Orbital Station? We all do.”

Yu-ren paused for a moment, his feathers visibly bristling at the mention of so many crimes against sapience. After another breath of nitrogen, he resumed.

“Thanks to these senseless acts of destruction, the Aesique are winning the war. They have captured the Vespera and Aurora systems outright, forcing their populations to turn their Dyson spheres towards fueling their war machine. They have forced the binary microsystems of A’pore and Wystere Minor into declaring neutrality. They have ravaged the fruitful moons of Rayle and Connel, leaving behind naught but gray soil and starbleached rocks. And, of course, they are even now besieging the planets of Rhorele and Caleido, each of which is home to nearly five billion people. And these are only the most recent developments in the war. Nearly fifty other systems have fallen to the hive-mind, and hundreds more have been forced into neutrality. To be frank, the Aesique have the Alliance surrounded.”

A few sharp sounds are audible at this last admission. Though everyone knew that the Alliance was on the back foot, hearing the Speaker outright say so made the reality hit all the harder. But Yu-ren wasn’t done.

“The Committee has considered many possible responses to these recent developments, from the evacuation of whole systems to unfavorable diplomatic actions, all in hopes of avoiding total war. However, the Aesique have proven to only want one thing: complete and utter surrender. They are not true people, nor are they even similar to other hive-societies. The Regale and Wiss in the audience know that much. Their so-called ‘people’ are just puppets with nervous systems, bits of metal and flesh that serve as limbs of the few thinking ones who control the whole hive. That is how they can so easily control most beings: anyone from the Glyh to the Mexre are susceptible to invasive control, as long as their internals are accessible. However, thanks to vigorous research on the part of the people of the Palien Major binary system, a weakness has been discovered.”

Yu-ren took another deep breath. He was trembling ever so slightly now, as was the audience.

“Thanks to the rapid-growth potential of Aesique cells, they are very susceptible to mutation. Certain chemicals, as well as controlled radiation exposure have proven effective at killing them in large enough numbers to immobilize individual units with nothing more than standard x-ray machines accompanied by one cubic centimeter of a specialized chemical cocktail. It is theorized that, if administered to the chief thinking members of the Aesique, they will loose their control over the rest of the species, as well as being unable to ever control another being in the same way.”

“However, the vast majority of sapient species have been proven to also be vulnerable to the cocktail, specifically through skin contact. Ve-erin and Hidrel specifically are very susceptible to the chemicals. And due to the delicate nature of the delivery system, especially dexterous movement only reliably achievable by unarmored anatomy is necessary.”

Nervous looks were being traded among the audience members now. Here was the Committee, with a proven solution to the biggest threat the Alliance had ever faced, but a seemingly insurmountable obstacle had suddenly cropped up. But Yu-ren still had more to say.

“Additionally, it is very hard to administer the chemical and the radiation in a battlefield scenario. Prolonged exposure to radiation is necessary to break down an Aesique enough to administer the cocktail, and this does not take into account any armor. Thusly the Committee has spent the last several days on this issue of practicality. But we have come upon a solution. But I must say that it is not a pretty one. I shall now read the Committee’s decision.”

Yu-ren removed a file from his clothing, flipping through the documents it contained. He withdrew a single page of thin composite material, before clearing his throat and reading aloud what was printed.

“We, the Committee, so empowered by the People of the Pan-Species Galactic Alliance, have come to a unanimous decision on how to counterattack against the Aesique hive-mind. We have decided to enlist the aid of the species Homo sapiens, commonly known as humans, who reside in the Solar single-star system.”

A great cacophony arose from the audience. Shrieks, caws, shouts, and clacks joined with melodious outcries, yammering voices, and echoing chatter as Yu-ren called for order. When the noise had subsided, the Speaker resumed.

“We acknowledge that the Committee’s decision to call upon the humans for aid will invoke many strong emotions among the assembled who hear our announcement. All know of the history of humanity; they were brutal conquerors, both in their home system and beyond. They are known far and wide as swindlers, as polluters, and as greedy pillagers of all things that are not theirs. But they are also ingenious inventors. Their people discovered non-visible light and microscopic organisms far faster than any other species. They invented the most widely used interspecies alphabet in this Galaxy. And their numbers are so great that they outnumber all but the most populated megaplanets.”

“Humans are uniquely suited to taking on the Aesique. Their species is more accustomed to radiation than many others, and they long ago invented ways of blocking the most dangerous kinds of non-visible light. Humanity also invented the atomic bomb, a weapon based upon radiation. They are also far more familiar with complex chemicals as poisons and weapons of warfare than any other system-spanning species. It is for these reasons that we the Committee have decided that humans will carry out the planned attack on the Aesique. Additionally, the humans will be allowed, and encouraged, to use their own technology in the attack. Their stealthy ships and extremely destructive yet discreet explosives are exactly what is needed to cripple the hive-mind’s war machine. It is precisely because of why most species shun humanity that they are uniquely suited for this type of warfare. That is all.”

Speaker Yu-ren walked back to the Committee’s chamber as pleads for explanations and barbed questions issued from the audience. Upon entering the chamber, he was met with dozens of sensors all pointed straight at him.

“So…” Tley Ohel of the Hidrel asked, nervously clacking her pincers, “How’d they take it?”

“Exactly as we thought they would. With confusion and loud noises.” Yu-ren sighed before turning to the human representative, Nathan Lin, and asking, “How do your people intend to handle the backlash?”

The diplomat straightened his tie and took a swig from his flask before answering. “Mate, we’re just gonna do what we’ve always done. Let humanity’s action speak for themselves.”

“Are your people really willing to possibly sacrifice several thousand of their brethren just to help the Alliance? I’m fully aware that we aren’t the most popular among them.” This question came from Jelin Nyhel, the antlered Glyh delegate.

“I assure you,” Lin answered, “We’ve gone through far worse while fighting amongst ourselves. A few thousand martyred soldiers is nothing. Y’all ever heard of World War Two?”

“Oh, that time a few nation-states fought over ideology and land, right?” Responded Urele Inne, the Wiss delegate, calling upon his species’ collective memory.

“It was way more than that,” Lin responded, smiling a bit. ”W-W-Two was the first time our then-modern technologies were put to the test. We flew proper airplanes in that war, bombing cities and dropping soldiers behind enemy lines with naught but cloth to slow their falls. We drove tanks into battle instead of riding horses, lances and bayonets replaced with incendiary shells and flamethrowers. Our giant ocean ships pummeled each other with explosives while some of the first submarines snuck around below the waves.”

“Sure, the First World War had more chemical weapons, but the second was the first time we really discovered how powerful our technology was and still is when we turn it to destruction. That was also the first time we dropped a nuke. My twenty-greats grandfather witnessed the leveling of those two cities. There’s a reason why we all remember that war. And that was five centuries ago!” The delegate gave a sudden laugh, startling Yu-ren into flaring his crest.

Most of the committee was looking with horror at Lin. The mere mention of the destructive power of a nuke was enough to make the more peaceable delegates puff up, alongside the suggestion of using ships to do war at sea with explosives and dropping fighters from the sky without the safety of gravity-canceling tech. Wolhi I’ive, the Mexre delegate, was on the verge of fainting.

“Judging from y’all’s looks,” Lin commented, his eyes searching the shocked expressions of the other delegates with a glint that was unique to his plain brown irises, “Total war doesn’t seem to be your thing. But you’re in luck, cause it’s absolutely humanity’s thing. If you’ll excuse me, I must inform our leader that our aid has been requested, and that we must mobilize posthaste.”

For 10 long years war has raged while the Galactic Committee held a tight leash on the humans; stating “We do things a certain way”. Now, with the enemy closing in, the leash comes off.
