Homem recompra Oldsmobile Cutlass após 40 anos
Nas histórias de cinema, todo mundo tem um grande amor que se vai, mas nunca é esquecido. E talvez seja essa a tônica da história de Rich Moline e um Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 1969. 40 anos após vender o muscle car, ele reencontrou o veículo, por um acaso, em uma feirão de veículos.
A história que parece boa demais para ser verdade aconteceu em Reno, estado de Nevada, nos EUA. Em 2016, Moline e sua esposa foram a uma evento de carros, entre os modelos que estavam expostos, um Oldsmobile Cutlass 1969, igual ao que ele teve durante o colegial.
Um ano depois, de volta ao mesmo evento, Moline reencontrou o mesmo veículo e seu atual dono, Bill Nipper. Dessa vez, durante uma conversa, Nipper disse a Moline o VIN (equivalente ao número de chassi no Brasil) do veículo, informação com a qual, Moline pode garantir que era o mesmo veículo que ele vendeu 40 anos atrás.

Na época, a venda foi forçada por motivos maiores. Ele trocou por uma Chevrolet Blazer 1975 quando foi transferido para Iowa, para um novo emprego. “Bill encontrou a documentação para garantir que era o carro correto”, disse Moline para a publicação Hot Rod.

Em 2017, Moline tentou comprar o veículo de volta, mas Nipper disse que não estava à venda. Agora, em novembro de 2018, Nipper ligou para Moline oferecendo o carro antes de ele colocasse em um leilão.
Série especial do Oldsmobile
O exemplar de Moline é muito especial. Em 1969, o Cutlass 442 ganhou um motor V8 7.5 que rendia 380 cv. A transmissão era uma automática de três velocidades. Foi o único ano, sob o emblema da Hurst, em que este motor foi oferecido pela GM no Cutlass.
Sem precisar de uma restauração, esse exemplar mantém a pintura original que era oferecida só nessa versão. O branco com faixas douradas também fazia parte do interior, onde os encostos de cabeça traziam as faixas no couro preto.
Além disso, essa série oferecia um aerofólio na tampa do porta-malas, que parece pouco funcional, e entradas de ar enormes no capô para alimentar com maestria o V8 big block. No hodômetro, o carro de Bill marca cerca de 32 mil km rodados, atualmente.

BMW X6: launch, engine, specs and much more!
BMW X6 is not new to car fanatic, the first generation was released in 2008 and since has been a fan favourite. BMW never fails to amaze us in its coupe series. After all these 11 years the series is set to release again for the third generation.

New X6 is obviously better than all the previous versions. The new grille’s give it a new and efficient look. They light up when doors are opened or shut. Also, these will give an illuminated effect when the car is on the roads too.
The headlights are more slender than before and flank equally with the new ‘Grilles’. Similar to the ‘8-Series’ we have slender tail-lights and a highly ventilated rear side.
The rear looks this astonishing!
