Shri Venkateshwara University ceremoniously concluded the 2 days National Conference on Fake News: Impact on Society & Literature.

Dr. Anil Goyal is a Senior Media Consultant and Educationist. He is also the Director of Maharaja Agrasen College of Management & Mass Communication in Delhi.

Senior Journalist Navjyot Randhawa from Aaj Tak was another chief guest and keynote speaker at the event.

The keynote speakers and educationists advised students to not only ignore fake news but refrain from forwarding such misleading/false news. This is vital for maintaining social harmony and national integrity in the country.

The Venkateshwara Group Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri, CG Dr Anil Goyal & the Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati.

Popular news Anchor Navjyot Randhawa along with the VC Dr Krishna Kant Dave joined them to conclude the National Conference on Fake News: Impact on Society & Literature.

Dr. Anil Goyal stated social media has become a major source of spreading fake news, posing a challenge to social harmony and national integrity in the country.

For their personal, political/religious interests, people are misusing social media platforms with varying degrees. The public should be careful about such social media channels and the Government should monitor & curb their misuse.

The spread of fake news has been significantly reduced thanks to strong directives from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the PIB. However, to maintain social harmony and national integrity, every citizen should prevent the spread of false news.

Aaj Tak’s, Navjyot Randhawa asserted for maintaining global peace and goodwill, do not give fake & negative news a space not only in your mobile but also in your heart and mind.

Dr. Sudhir Giri, Founder President of the Venkateshwara Group, emphasized that preventing fake news is not solely the government’s responsibility; educational institutions also have an important role to play. Every internet user among the millions should take action to curb false news.

Pro Chancellor Dr. Rajeev Tyagi urged everyone to avoid forwarding unverified fake news to relatives or any groups.
