Amusing Shopping Encounter

Yesterday, after work, I decided to do some window shopping at bazaar stalls to avoid rushing home since it was Friday. Napahinto ako sa isang store filled with beauty and slimming drinks.

I was a little startled when the sales lady suddenly boomed, "Sir, pumasok ka po!" I stifled a laugh, not wanting to burst out kasi natawa talaga ako sa ginawa ng sales lady.

As I went to pay, the sales lady said, "Thank you, Sir Angelo!" I smiled sheepishly - I had forgotten my name tag was visible😅. Another sales woman then approached and read my full name out loud. I chuckled awkwardly. Tatlong beses ba naman si ateng mag thank you sa akin. Unsure of how to respond, I managed a "Thank you too!" mentally questioning my response 😫���🫠.

"Sir Angelo," she continued, "I'm Jenny!"

Her coworker laughed and said, "Girl, hindi niya tinatanong name mo!"

We both laughed, and then Jenny said, "Sir Angelo, please check my blood pressure!"

Her coworker interjected, "Sa leeg mo raw ilalagay yung pang bp."

Jenny replied, "okay lang. basta si sir angelo ang magchicheck. I-choke niya ako."

Nagulat ako sa banat niya 😶 and I looked at her to gauge her reaction. She seemed flustered. ( maswerte ka ate na nagnonobenaryo ako ngayon 🫠 kundi malilintikan talaga kita 😂😂😂🙏🏻 )

Bruh so my mom and I just went to the grocery store because they had monster and chocolate on sale so there we are lined up with 20 cans of energy drink and about as many chocolate bars and GUESS WHO WAS WORKING THE CASH REGISTER none other than my kindergarten friend/middle school enemy. He clearly recognized me even underneath my hat and mask so I was panicking under his smug glance but neither of us said a word while he was calmly scanning the embarrassing amount of bulked up unhealthy stuff. God I was about to have a social anxiety attack.

Meanwhile my mom had no idea what was happening since she obviously didn't know who he was💀

Awkward Encounters

Hey guys, so today was probably the most awkward day of my life...

So recently (like 2 weeks ago) I left a 6 year very toxic relationship.  It was definitely one of the harder things I've had to face yet in life.  I won't get into too much detail but basically my ex was a compulsive liar, even lied to himself, about the way he treated me and his infidelities in the past.

Now being with someone for 6 years of your life, you are bound to be friends with the same people.  So today two of our closest friends were throwing their engagement party.  It would not have been so awkward if it was not for the fact that just last night I was told by my best friend that my ex was texting her basically trying to hook up with her.  Meanwhile he has been up my ass trying to get back together saying how much he loved me and how hard he was going to try and change and be the man that I need.  HAHA...

So I had to spend about 5 hours in the same vicinity as him while trying my hardest to not scream in his face to leave me alone.  Every time I would say hello to someone, their next question was always, what the hell happened, why are you guys not together anymore.  So you can only imagine the amount of fun I had at this party.  I am definitely proud of myself for containing my anger to say the least.  Thank god we do not have any more social gatherings to attend because I don't know how well I can convince myself to behave again!

Dreampost 3

Three memorable dreams from last night

1.) Basically just me going through a strange version of Dark Souls that my mind has put together. I have been having a lot of dreams like this lately. Basically it’s just as terrifying, tense, and stressful as the video game, except it feels real. This one had elements of J.R.R. Tolkien thrown in towards the end, i.e. large fantasy-themed battles and confrontations, with me on the front lines. Then last thing I remember is an army of pit bulls charging at an army of nondescript zombie dogs.

2.) I am at some kind of cool store in my hometown where you can freely use PCs, like an Internet cafe but better and with really good computers. I go out to my car for a minute to grab something, and when I turn around my boss from my previous job - a respectable but fierce older woman who is not currently fond of me - is hanging out right by the entrance. Obviously I want to avoid speaking with her, so I walk hurriedly across the parking lot towards the strip mall on the other side. The sky is grey with low-hanging clouds, on the verge of raining like most of my dreams that take place in my hometown. The opposite strip mall has a Chipotle and some weird little gym, like Planet Fitness but tiny and with like four machines. I don’t go to Chipotle because in both my dream and in real life I am trying to save money and cultivate healthy eating habits *eyes roll at self* so I go into the gym. I notice my boss is also walking towards the strip mall, and I assume she has no reason to go into the gym, so I hang out just inside the entrance. What do you do when you’re at a gym just to avoid talking to someone and not because you’re actually going to work out? Well I notice my boss walking towards the entrance, her black heels clacking on the pavement, so I rush over to the counter. There simply isn’t enough time to explain the situation - I’m here to avoid someone not to exercise - so I kind of just look at the two staff members with a pleading look as my former boss walks in and starts making very aggressive and judgmental small talk with me AND the staff members, asking me about my new job, etc. Apparently she’s at the gym because she does some kind of weird part-time management and is there to grab a couple things from the back. I sign a weird little piece of paper that gym members sign, because at this point I need to act like I went to the gym on purpose, and I go over to a treadmill and just run until she leaves. It’s at that point I go and explain myself to the nice staff, who totally understand my predicament. I go outside to find that due to construction and renovation, the Internet cafe has been completely demolished, so I go back into the gym and run on the treadmill some more.

3.) My boyfriend and I go to see the new Star Wars movie (The Last Jedi), and despite our enthusiasm it turns out to be absolutely terrible. It’s nothing like any of the previous movies, just a bunch of cameos, trippy graphics, and too many Death Stars. We kept texting and getting up to use the bathroom, and an hour into it we noticed half the audience had left. We wouldn’t leave though because as true Star Wars fans we had to stick it through. The last thing I remember is a Death Star shooting at Earth, which doesn’t make sense because the series takes place in a galaxy far, far away… but the laser doesn’t completely destroy the planet, it just leaves a huge gaping crater, and the Earth gradually crumbles apart. So bad!

Real Story

The other day I was at subway, potentially buying some cookies... And there was this really hot guy and I was like “let’s be strategic (in my head ofc), I’m going to stand in line to get a better look”

so being the socially awkward anxiety driven teenager I am, I step in line, with my rehearsed cookie order of course, and get a better look, as I was ordering, hot guy was behind me, I am told the meal deal that I was getting doesn’t work unless I have a sub. LOW and BEHOLD hot guy has a sub, “hey I have a sub, I’ll share with you”, my brain goes into shut down, I didn’t rehearse this, I say “oh no it doesn't matter” and I quickly pay and run away

So you think that’s all of my awkward encounter, the saga continues...

I then sit down with my friend and explain the whole event, adding in that I may have lost my chance at meeting my soul mate, he could have been my future husband, this is why I’m always single, I can’t flirt/read cues, basically going on and on.

THEN

I LOOK OVER AND HE IS SITTING RIGHT NEXT TO US (heard the entire thing) AND IS LAUGHING AT ME

anyway I just ran away leaving my friend dumbfounded at the table

so that’s the story of my metaphorical death
