ᥫ᭡ DRUNKEN KISSES ── .✦ B.E.

Pairing: Billie Eilish x Fem!Reader
Genre: Fluff
Synopsis: You got pushed to drink by your friends, even when you didn’t want to. And when you called Billie to come get you, she didn’t hesitate for a moment.
W/c: 2.2k
a/n: I got a little lazy towards the end so I’m sorry for that… but I hope you enjoy it took me like three hours to write this
The loud music thumped in your chest, vibrating through your entire body. You could hear voices laughing and talking around you, but you couldn’t make out exactly what was being said. The lights flashed all around you, a colorful burst of light going around the entire room.
The scent of the room was a mix of alcohol, sweat and strong perfumes, a scent that was awful and rather strong, but you got over it eventually. People were filled in the house, the expensive paintings and luxury all over the room. Even the sink looked like it cost a million bucks.
You didn’t exactly wanted to go to this party—you knew it was just going to be filled with people in their twenties that had nothing better to do with lives. Your friends had forced you to come. They had been pushing you to come to one of the parties they had been hosting for a while, and you always turned them down.
Because frankly, nothing was better than spending your weekend with your girlfriend, Billie. You liked the peace and quiet, the laziness of the weekends, spent in bed or the couch. All with Billie, cuddled under a blanket. But you haven’t been spending a lot of your time with your friends lately, barely texting them, so you felt like you owed them a bit. So you agreed to come.
But now, you were regretting that decision. You were sitting on the couch, your friends surrounding you. Riley, a friend from high school, was sitting on your left, and Bailey was sitting on your right. Your two other friends, Amelia and Charlotte were standing in front of you, arms crossed.
A red solo cup was resting in your hands, and you were acting as if it were a cup of poison. You had never drank before, and you didn’t really plan on ever doing it. You didn’t like the feeling of being out of control of your own body, especially if something else had that control. So you never tried it, not even a drop.
The smell was strong, but a mix of something fruity. Sense it was your first ever drink, your friends did decide to water it down a bit with some juice. The strong, alcoholic scent filled your nostrils, and it felt like your nose hairs would burn off just from smelling it. You made a face of disgust, pulling the cup away from your nose.
"Come on, it’s not that bad! Just some vodka and rum. I mixed it with some Hawaiian Punch. It shouldn’t be too bad. Just a little sip.“ Riley encouraged, placing a hand on your shoulder and gently shaking you.
"It’s so good, you’ll love it! We all had some before.“ Amelia spoke, a smile forming on her face. She looked between you and the cup, as if she was magically going to move the rim of the cup to your mouth.
You swallowed, the nervousness filling your chest. You wanted to turn them down, to say no and just hand the cup off. But you felt like you owed them. You had to at least try. You took a deep breath, bringing the rim of the cup closer to your mouth, taking in the scent of the fruity alcohol once more.
You tilted your head back, your friends all watching in anticipation. And once the liquid hit your tastebuds and went down your throat, the burning sensation immediately started, and you pulled the cup away. The taste was bitter, a little mix of the juice was there, but the alcohols overrided it. The burn reached your throat, and you felt like the muscles in your throat were melting from the burn.
You let out a series of coughs, almost choking on the drink. You heard your friends chuckling around you, and Bailey gently patted your back, trying to help with the digestion.
It took a few moments, but the coughing eventually subsided, and you were left with the bitter taste of alcohol on your tongue, making your face curl in disgust. Your tsked, trying to get the taste off your tongue.
"Take another sip!“ Charlotte encouraged, a wide smile plastering her face. Like she liked to see you suffer.
You shook your head, but before you could verbally respond, Amelia perked up. "Just one more, okay? It’ll get better over time.“
You wanted to say no, to get up and go home, but you felt tempted. Maybe they were right, maybe it would get better. You let out a sigh, rolling your eyes before you took another swing.
Then they encouraged you again. And you drank again. Then again. And again, and again, and again until the cup was empty, and they were already fetching you another cup. But without the juice. And you drank it.
As time passed and your friends chatted around you, you felt your vision started to become blurry and bouncy. Everything you were looking at suddenly had a shade of blur, and it looked like waves were going through your vision. You tried to blink multiple times to fix it, but it didn’t.
Your head was starting to feel heavy, and you felt like you were out of your own body. Like you were a piece of jello on the couch, melting into the cushions and becoming one. You didn’t like that feeling. You didn’t like it at all. It felt like you were out of your own body, and you were in third person. It felt so weird and unnatural. You hated it.
You slowly stood up from the couch, and your legs almost buckled under you. Your friends curiously looked at you, asking where you were going. You apologies for the early dismissal, and gave them all weak, half-assed smiles. You tried to walk, but you were stumbling over your own feet. But eventually, you got to the front door, and you stumbled out onto the porch, sitting down on the concrete.
You rubbed your temples, as if you were turning the gears in your brain to start working correctly again. You took a deep breath of the fresh air, letting it fill your lungs. It was the one natural thing you had in your grasp right now.
You didn’t want to stay here any longer. The smell of the alcohol you drank reeked off of your clothes, and your hair was a little messed up. You knew you couldn’t drive in your condition. Your vision was impaired and you could barely walk without tripping over your own feet. It was too late to be walking alone, even in this nice neighborhood.
So, you called Billie. You had to squint to look at your phone, making sure it was really her before clicking the 'call' button. You pressed speaker, feeling too weak to hold your phone to your ear. You put your phone on your legs, hanging your head as you heard the phone ringing.
Billie was quick to pick up, answering the phone on the second ring. She spoke with a sweet, loving voice, the adorable little tone she always had when she spoke rang through the air, practically healing your ears. "Hii, baby. How’s the party? You havin‘ fun?“
You let out a small groan, which somehow mixed with a giggle. You moved some hair out of your face as you spoke, your words completely slurred, and barely understood through the phone. "Heyyy, bils… it’s goin‘… amazing, here. Buttt I don’t feel too good. Everything’s all spinny an‘ blurry an‘ I feel like jelly… can you come f‘me?“
With your slurred words and how you described your symptoms, a worry built up in her chest. Were you safe? How much had you drank? She pushed her worries away, knowing she needed to be strong for you. She spoke again, her voice softer, sweeter, just to not worry you. "Of course, my love. I’m on my way right now. I’ll be there soon. I love you.“
"Love you too!“ you said with a small giggle. Apparently, your drunken self got really flustered when Billie showed affection. The blush on your face that Billie couldn’t yet see had spread all over your face, even to your ears. You hung up the phone giggling, almost kicking your feet. Almost.
When Billie arrived, she didn’t even bother to turn off the car. The bright headlights of the dodge challenger were pointed right your way, making your eyes squint and blink a few times.
Billie instantly hopped out of the car, and quickly jogged towards you. There was a hint of worry on her expression, but she hid it rather well. She kneeled down in front of you, gently taking your face into her hands. She scanned over your face and your body, checking for any injuries. She let out a sigh of relief as she found none, her shoulders slumping.
"Hey, love. How you feeling? Still all dizzy and blurry?“ she said softly, gently rubbing her thumbs over the soft skin of your cheeks. Her eyes held a delicateness to them, looking at you as if you would break under the slightest pressure.
You nodded, a giddy smile forming in your face as her hands touched your cheeks. Her palms were warm, a stark contrast to your cold cheeks. You didn’t wear a jacket, not thinking you would’ve been waiting outside, at night for 10 minutes. But you didn’t care now. You were with Billie, and that’s all your mind could focus on now.
Billie smiled softly, before gently helping you onto your feet. You wabbled a bit, but she helped you find your balance as she led you to the car. She gently placed you in the passenger seat, closing the door once you were buckled in and comfortable. She quickly rounded the car, getting into the drivers seat and backing out of the driveway.
The carride was mostly silent, except for your little babbles that you would spurt out, shifting every other minute. Billie’s hand stayed on your thigh, gently rubbing and squeezing the milky skin beneath her palm.
Billie could tell you were more of the sleepy drunk, seeing you barely awake in the passenger seat. But there was something keeping you awake. You didn’t know what, big it was something.
The car came to a stop as Billie pulled into the driveway of your shared house, and she killed the engine before rushing back over to your side. She opened the door for you, unbuckling you and letting you lean on her as you began to walk inside. You let out a small giggle, feeling Billie’s warmth against yours. She was always so warm. You never could understand how.
Billie helped you up the stairs and into the bedroom, gently sitting you down on the bed. "Stay here for a second, okay? I’ll be right back.“
Billie quickly jogged out the room and back down the stairs, entering the kitchen and grabbing a bottle of water. She then went back upstairs and into the bedroom, opening the bottle of water as she approached you yet again.
"Drink it, love. It will help with the hangover tomorrow.“ Billid said softly, letting you take the water and drink it. It helped clear your mind a bit, and it was a soothing balm to the bitter taste that lingered in your throat.
You placed the waterbottle down on the bedside table, rubbing your eye. Billie quickly took notice, and gently began to take off all your jewelry, putting it in its designated spot in your jewelry box. She then began to change your clothes for you, placing you out of your shiny dress and into a pair of comfy shorts and one of Billie’s hoodies. It was always more comfortable to sleep in Billie’s hoodies.
You melted into the comfortable clothes, quickly warming up. You layed down on the bed, curling under the duvet. Billie quickly followed, gently pulling you into her chest, letting you listen to the steady rhythm of her heartbeat. You felt your cheeks heating up again, a giddy giggle leaving your lips again.
Billie couldn’t help but laugh at your giddiness, seeing how flustered you could get just by simple acts and touches. She gently stroked your hair with her fingers, weaving through the soft locks. She gently leaned down and placed a soft, gentle kiss on your lips, whispering quietly to you. "My little angel.“
Your cheeks heated up even more at the petname and the kiss, which you leaned into. But when she pulled away, you instantly puckered up your lips, as if asking for another one.
Billie chuckled, playfully rolling her eyes. She never minded when you asked for kisses. It was her favorite thing anyways. She gently placed another kiss to your lips again, and you leaned into it, feeling at ease.
Once she pulled away again, you felt your eyes drooping, the tiredness taking over your body. Billie continued to gently comb through your hair, trying to help you fall asleep. She smiled at your sleepy face, just on the verge of passing out.
But then, you lips puckered up again weakly, asking for yet another kiss. Billie rolled her eyes with a sigh, speaking with faux annoyance. "You can’t get enough of my kisses while your drunk, can you?“ But it wasn’t a complaint. She leaned into a kiss once more, capturing your lips into the third kiss. Her soft lips brought your into your slumber, your lips falling limp as Billie gently pulled away.
She pulled your sleeping form into her chest, rubbing your back with her hand. She rested her chin on the top of your head, speaking quietly and softly to your sleeping, drunk form.
"Goodnight, my angel.“ ⋆. 𐙚 ̊

C/W: m*n mentioned, comphet implied, death mentioned (?), angst, hurt no comfort, no use of y/n, Billie referred to with her name instead of she once, hope i didn’t miss smt
Summary: You finally get a partner and as you said you didn’t care what they were like! You just wanted to not be alone. Is that what fulfils you? Is that what you expected to happen when you were finally “not alone?” Bet you didn’t expect to lose what you realised way too late was what you truly wanted there with you.
❀。 •*₊❀。 • *₊°。 ❀°· · ─ ·𖥸· ─ · · ❀。 • *₊°。 ❀° ❀。 •
A man, a man supposedly being your boyfriend but you can’t seem to help that you see him as a best friend more than anything. Sex feels rather like a playtime-pass time than intimacy - what’s supposed to be dates instead is like going out with your dad’s friend instead of your lover - being with him feels more suffocating than it does to be utterly alone.
Sick worried about your sexuality and cravings, controlling to the core. You needn’t have cut her off, did you? You didn’t like her like that, right?
Or was it just you being in denial? Have you thought how obvious it is when others hear how you talk to her, your tone, your blabbering, clinging onto every little detail ever just for the sake of a never-ending conversation. How your eyes light up the entire milky way the moment she looks your way, gives you attention, answers your texts, you you you in her mind you wanted it to be you.
And he saw that as a threat, his very own misery being contagiously inflicted to you, all in plain sight.
So many excuses for how he is- but you cant deny it. You don’t dare deny it, and you know it too.
The car rides you’d wish would lead to her, the friends you’d go out with you wished would include her, the indirect questions of his old friends in a flick of hope to hear about her.
She was never to be talked of again.
He broke up with you, why are you sad? Body shaking with devastation, tears running like real-life waterfalls, screams of a broken heart hope. You had only hoped you like him, you had only hoped you could convince yourself you like men, the way they like you. The closet shut so quick for the sake of being with someone for once, anyone.
It doesn’t take long until you realise you’re better without him, you aren’t miserable yourself, you were forced to be but yourself. The episodes and constant crying is over, your body has no one to reject anymore, so as the months go by, why do you still feel crashed?
Mind replaying the thoughts you had while dating him, how often you’d think of Billie, wish for her upon every shooting star, hoping your words would reach her under the same night sky.
You weren’t in love with her though? Right?
The times she’d laugh at your stupid jokes and you’d only grow warmer, all from inside out. The way she laughed at your idiotic jokes, eyes shut closed and uncontrollable irregular panting laughs, you felt your heart open up and flutter like a lotus. You weren’t breathing anymore - you were blooming.
Or how she would always react to you with a smile, no she wasn’t always happy, but she felt that way whenever you were in the picture.
You knew she wasn’t always happy, especially when you tried to contact her about a month after your breakup, after the breakup of probably the most pathetic relationship ever.
Her hometown being your own isn’t helping, with a new year of studies crawling in and summer days shortening she’s come to visit family and friends and you cant help but imagine every other girl she interacted with was you.
Stolen glances while passing by the street, yours were full head turns, trying to drink up as much of her as you can in that luck-pathed moment, whereas hers almost looked through you. Short and cold, like broken icicles used as daggers.
The eyes that once bent and twinkled with such a welcoming warmth you now find them leaving you breathless. The hands that once opened up like wings, fingers empty of their shiny rings, -something she always did knowing how the sensation makes you cringe unpleasantly- knowing she’s gonna see you, eager to be held by you contentedly, palms facing you with a silent request to hold them — now you see fallen, the only thing about them looking at you being the big shiny intimidating rings peeking from a fist.
The mud is dirty, the water is not the best. All kinds of things found around the pond taking a sip or a dip. But a lotus flower grows again tomorrow even cleaner than before. Why can’t she see it?
You a year ago today is nothing compared to you right now, you know what you are and what you want. So why is she suddenly scared to get wet? Why is every person attracted to the pond but her?
Everyone but the one you want.
The one person to bloom the lotus within you, the one to plant the lotus seed inside you, to keep it from rotting all along. She gave it life and left it with you to die.
Or at least you tell that yourself to feel better, better about the fact that you left her without a word and hoped for the best.
You hadn’t realised just how much time had passed, or that time had passed at all. Now out of your mind and back to your body, looking right at the entrance of a park, you hadn’t moved an inch since you looked back and was met with a killer gaze. The evening sky turning to yet another dark night. Were the nights always this cold?
You lean against the random buildings fence, state of shock unbothered. Your head tilts up as the breeze kisses past your features, thats when you realise your body has betrayed you yet again, wet cold teary cheeks.
Blink,, blink,,, blink… and you shot your eyes up ahead, the stars in the dark blue of the sky dancing along the hue of the endless horizon above and beyond, and for a moment you saw her eyes again, for a moment you saw her staring at you the way she used to. For a final moment before you felt your heart rip itself apart.
...
..
You had no outlet for your love to her, you didn’t have her. What was there to do with a feeling so tender that sucker punches your stomach the moment it sees the owner of it whole? A feeling that fights against your held back words and actions, trying to get out in any way, ends up finding that the only way out, is through.
There was no room for it. If you clung onto it, it would only destroy you.

Every OyeiCher scene (12 ¦ ??) (feat. YakDee)
O: Yeah. This boxing club was founded in B.E. 2532, as you can see on the t-shirt. My mum said after starting this gym, she had me and Yak." W: "Really?" Y: "This one's cooked. Eat something too. Don't just listen to YE0s babbling. If you wait until he's done, you might not get to eat anything." O: "Hey, you little..." C: "Yak's got a point there." O: "Hey, Cher. You're my babe. Why are you taking his side?" W: "It's totally okay, guys. I like listening to people. My patients usually share their stories with me." Y: "Come on. Don't be so nice. That makes me look like a bad guy here." W: "I didn't mean that." Y: "You haven't eaten it. Want me to feed you? Open your mouth." W: "It's still hot." Y: "Blow on it. Or do you want me to do that for you too?" W: "I can do it myself. Dip too. Wow. It's delicious. Seriously, both the pork and the dip are good." C: "P'Yei is the cook." W: "Wow." Y: "It's our family's recipe. Our mum and dad created it." W: "It's so good you could open a restaurant. Where are your mum and dad?" C: "Uh, let's enjoy our food. Have lots of pork. P'Yei marinated it really well. Everyone, finish it all because pork is expensive. Come on, eat up." O: "Hey, Yak. You know that your next fight is coming up, right?" Y: "Yep." O: "Tonight, try not to go overboard with your activity. Got it?" Y: "Yei! This isn't the place to talk about that."

Marriage Visa in Thailand
The Thailand Marriage Visa is formally designated as a Non-Immigrant O Visa (Category "O") based on marriage to a Thai national. Governed by Immigration Act B.E. 2522 (1979) and Ministerial Regulation No. 35 (B.E. 2562), this visa category permits annual extensions of stay when specific conditions are met.
Key Distinctions:
Initial Visa: 90-day entry (obtainable at embassies abroad or via conversion in Thailand)
Extension Basis: Annual renewal under Clause 2.18 of Immigration Bureau regulations
Not a Work Permit: Separate application required for employment authorization
2. Financial Requirements: Beyond the Basics
A. Capital Deposit Method (Most Common)
THB 400,000 in a Thai personal account
Seasoning Period:
First application: 2 months prior
Subsequent renewals: 3 months prior and continuous maintenance
Account Type Restrictions:
Must be personal savings account (not fixed deposit)
Joint accounts may be accepted at some offices (but risky)
B. Monthly Income Alternative
THB 40,000/month provable income
Verification Methods:
Foreign Income: Embassy letter (US/UK/EU) or 12-month Thai bank transfers
Thai Income: Tax receipts (Por Ngor Dor 91) + company documents
Combined Income: Spouse's income can contribute with marriage proof
Pro Tip: Chiang Mai Immigration notoriously rejects embassy letters without supporting bank transfers - maintain both.
3. Document Preparation: Hidden Requirements
Mandatory Documentation:
Marriage Evidence:
Kor Ror 2 (Thai marriage certificate)
Kor Ror 3 (amendment record, if applicable)
Photos: 5-10 prints showing cohabitation (dated across seasons)
Residence Proof:
Tabien Baan (Blue House Book) or rental contract + owner's documents
Utility Bills: At least 2 different services in both names
Financial Proof:
Bank Book: All pages photocopied (showing seasoning)
Bank Letter: Issued within 24 hours of application
Provincial Variations:
Bangkok (CW): Requires TM30 filing receipt
Phuket: Demands map to residence
Udon Thani: Home visit standard procedure
4. Application Process: Step-by-Step Protocol
A. Initial Visa Acquisition
Option 1: Apply at Thai Embassy Abroad
Savannakhet (Laos) requires least documentation
Penang (Malaysia) demands financial proof upfront
Option 2: Convert from Tourist Visa
Must have 15+ days remaining on current permit
Requires additional TM86 form
B. Annual Extension Process
30-Day Pre-Application:
Verify bank balance seasoning
Schedule appointment (online for Bangkok)
Interview Day:
Couple interrogated separately (common questions: spouse's birthday, wedding date)
Document submission before noon
Under Consideration Period:
30-day stamp issued
Return for final approval stamp
Critical Note: Some offices (e.g., Jomtien) now require biometric fingerprinting.
5. Work Rights & Business Limitations
Employment Authorization:
Work Permit Possible: But employer must handle application
Restrictions:
Cannot work in prohibited occupations (massage, agriculture)
Must meet salary thresholds for nationality
Business Ownership Options:
Thai-Limited Company:
Can own 49% as foreigner
Marriage visa doesn't increase ownership rights
Nominee Structure Warning:
Using spouse as majority owner risks FBA violation
Must prove spouse's independent financial capacity
6. Advanced Strategies & Loopholes
A. The "Income Combination" Tactic
Example: THB 20K pension + THB 20K spouse's income
Requires:
Spouse's tax records
Affidavit of income contribution
B. Multi-Year Planning for PR
Year 3: Can apply for Permanent Residency
Requires THB 30K+/month provable income
Thai language test (basic conversation)
Year 5: Citizenship eligibility begins
C. Avoiding the "Seasoning Trap"
Strategy: Maintain THB 400K year-round
Alternative: Use fixed account with automatic renewal
7. Common Rejection Reasons & Appeals
Top Denial Causes:
Bank Balance Dips:
Even THB 399,999 = automatic rejection
Solution: Maintain THB 410K buffer
Document Discrepancies:
Mismatched addresses
Outdated tabien baan copies
Suspected Sham Marriage:
No children + large age gap = red flag
Counter with: Joint leases, family photos, shared assets
Appeal Process:
30-Day Appeal Window
Requires "new evidence"
Best handled by lawyer
8. Expert Recommendations
For New Applicants:
Start financial seasoning 6 months early
Create document checklist for your specific office
Conduct mock interview with spouse
For Renewals:
Maintain separate visa account
Document 5+ joint activities annually
Pre-apply 45 days early for buffer
For High-Net-Worth Couples:
Consider combining with investment visa
Structure assets to qualify for O-A Long Stay
9. Future Outlook & Policy Trends
Digital Verification: Increasing use of blockchain marriage records
Stricter Scrutiny: More home visits in tourist areas
Financial Thresholds: Likely to increase post-2025
Final Note: Always cross-verify requirements at your local office - immigration practices vary significantly by province. For complex cases (previous overstays, divorce history), retain specialized counsel before application.

Thailand Long-Term Residency
Thailand offers several pathways for foreigners seeking extended or permanent residency, each with distinct requirements, benefits, and limitations. Unlike short-term visas, long-term residency options provide stability, reduced bureaucratic hurdles, and, in some cases, a pathway to citizenship. This guide examines all major long-term residency programs in Thailand, analyzing their legal frameworks, eligibility criteria, application processes, and strategic advantages.
2. Legal Framework Governing Long-Term Residency
Thailand's long-term residency system is governed by multiple laws and regulations:
Immigration Act (B.E. 2522, 1979) – Primary legislation for visas and residency
Investment Promotion Act (B.E. 2520, 1977) – Covers BOI-sponsored residency
Royal Decree on Smart Visa (2018) – For high-skilled professionals
Long-Term Resident (LTR) Visa Program (2022) – Newest category for wealthy expats
Each program operates under different ministries, including:
Immigration Bureau (general residency permits)
Board of Investment (BOI) (investor visas)
Ministry of Labor (work-based residency)
3. Permanent Residency (PR) – The Traditional Path
A. Overview

Thailand Visa Exemptions
Thailand’s visa exemption policy allows travelers from select countries to enter without obtaining a visa in advance, streamlining short-term visits for tourism and business. However, the system is often misunderstood, leading to issues such as denied entry, overstays, or inadvertent immigration violations. This article provides a detailed examination of Thailand’s visa exemption scheme, including its legal framework, eligibility criteria, recent policy changes, and strategies for maximizing stay duration while avoiding pitfalls.
1. Legal Basis & Policy Framework
Thailand’s visa exemption system is governed by:
Immigration Act B.E. 2522 (1979)
Ministerial Regulations (periodically updated)
Bilateral agreements with certain countries
The policy is designed to facilitate tourism while maintaining immigration control. Unlike a formal visa, exemptions are granted at the discretion of Thai immigration officers, who assess travelers upon arrival.
2. Eligible Countries & Duration of Stay
Special Cases & Bilateral Agreements
Brazil, Peru, South Korea: 90-day exemption (reciprocal agreements).
Vietnam, Russia: Extended exemptions under bilateral deals.
3. Entry Requirements & Conditions
A. Mandatory Documents
Passport (valid for 6+ months).
Proof of onward travel (within 30/45 days).
Proof of funds (THB 10,000/person or THB 20,000/family).
Accommodation details (hotel booking or host’s invitation).
B. Immigration Scrutiny & Potential Denial
Red flags for denial:
Previous overstays.
Excessive back-to-back visa exemptions.
Suspicion of working illegally.
Airport vs. Land Border Differences:
Airports: More lenient, 30/45-day stamps.
Land borders: Often only 15-30 days, stricter enforcement.
4. Extending a Visa-Exempt Stay
A. 30-Day Extension at Immigration
Cost: THB 1,900.
Process: File at local immigration office (e.g., Bangkok, Chiang Mai).
Documents required:
Passport + arrival stamp.
TM.7 form + photo.
TM.30 (proof of address).
B. Border Runs (Limited Effectiveness in 2024)
New restrictions:
Only 2 land border visa runs per calendar year.
Airports still allow re-entry but may question frequent use.
Risk of denial: Immigration may suspect "visa run abuse."
5. Recent Changes & Emerging Trends
A. 2024 Policy Updates
Stricter enforcement of visa run limitations.
Increased scrutiny of long-stay tourists.
Digital nomad crackdowns (working illegally on exemptions).
B. Future Predictions
Possible reduction in exemption duration (back to 30 days for all).
More bilateral deals (e.g., potential expansion to Gulf countries).
6. Strategic Considerations for Long-Term Visitors
A. Alternatives to Visa Runs
Tourist Visa (TR): 60-day stay + 30-day extension.
METV (6-month multiple-entry).
Elite Visa: 5-20 years residency.
B. Avoiding Overstays & Penalties
Fine: THB 500/day (max THB 20,000).
Blacklisting: For overstays >90 days.
C. Tax & Residency Implications
Staying 180+ days/year = Thai tax resident.
7. Conclusion
Thailand’s visa exemption system is convenient but comes with limitations. Travelers must: ✔ Respect permitted stay durations. ✔ Avoid excessive border runs. ✔ Consider formal visas for long stays.
For frequent visitors, transitioning to a proper visa (TR, METV, Elite) is the safest long-term strategy. Always verify current rules with the Royal Thai Embassy before travel.

Immigration Act B.E. 2522 (1979)
Ministerial Regulations No. 14 (B.E. 2535)
Bilateral agreements with 64 countries (as of 2024)
The policy is administered by the Thai Immigration Bureau with oversight from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Unlike true visa-free entry, exemptions are technically "visas on arrival" granted under Section 12 of the Immigration Act.
2. Current Exemption Scheme Structure (2024)
A. Standard Exemption (Tourism Purpose Only)
Duration: 30 days (land/sea entry) or 30-90 days (air entry)
Nationalities: 64 eligible countries
Entry Points: All international airports, 26 land borders
Key Distinctions:
Air vs. Land Entry:
Air arrivals receive 30 days (57 nationalities) or 90 days (7 nationalities)
Land arrivals strictly limited to 30 days (extendable once)
B. Special Bilateral Agreements
90-Day Exemption: Brazil, Chile, Peru, South Korea
60-Day Exemption: Russia (temporary measure until 2025)
30-Day Exemption: Most ASEAN members (extendable to 90)
3. Technical Entry Requirements
Documentation Standards

Flight itinerary (PNR must verify)
E-ticket with 13-digit ticket number
Bus/train tickets for land border exits
Financial Proof:
Official requirement: 20,000 THB/person (40,000/family)
Enforcement protocol:
Random checks at discretion of Immigration Officer
Cash or traveler's checks only (bank statements not accepted)
New 2024 measure: Credit limit verification for card holders
4. Operational Procedures at Entry Points
A. Airport Processing
Automated Verification:
Advance Passenger Information (API) screening
Interpol database cross-check
Previous immigration history review
Secondary Inspection Triggers:
More than 3 exemptions in 12 months
Previous overstays (even if paid fine)
Suspected "visa run" patterns
B. Land Border Specifics
Daily Quotas:
Poipet (Cambodia): 300/day
Sadao (Malaysia): 500/day
Time Restrictions:
No crossings after 18:00 at most borders
Mandatory 6-hour minimum stay abroad for re-entry
5. Extension Mechanisms
Official Extension Process
Eligibility: One 30-day extension permitted
Requirements:
TM.7 form + 1,900 THB fee
Proof of residence (hotel receipt or lease)
4x6cm photo (specific biometric standards)
Processing Time: 45 minutes to 3 hours (varies by office)
De Facto Alternatives
Border Run Limitations:
Maximum 2 land border exemptions per calendar year
Automated tracking via TM6 departure cards
Visa Conversion Option:
Change to Non-Immigrant visa possible at some offices
Requires showing 200,000 THB in Thai bank account
6. Special Cases and Exceptions
A. Diplomatic/Official Passports
90-day exemption for 46 countries
Must present note verbale for official visits
B. APEC Business Travel Card Holders
90-day stay privilege
Fast-track lane access at major airports
C. Crew Members
30-day exemption with valid:
Crew ID
Operator's letter
Layover schedule
7. Compliance and Enforcement Trends
A. New Monitoring Systems
Biometric Facial Recognition: Rolled out at 32 entry points
Advanced Passenger Processing (APP): Pre-arrival screening
Overstay Blacklist: Automated 1-10 year bans
B. Recent Policy Changes
2023 Digital Nomad Measure:
Exemption holders can now apply for 5-year LTR visa without exiting
2024 Financial Verification:
Pilot program at BKK/Suvarnabhumi for cashless proof of funds
Border Run Restrictions:
Electronic TM6 system flags frequent exempt entries
8. Practical Considerations for Travelers
A. High-Risk Scenarios
Previous Overstays:
Even 1-day overstay may trigger secondary inspection
Frequent Exemptions:
More than 6 exemptions in 24 months risks denial
Suspected Employment:
Carrying work equipment without proper visa
B. Recommended Protocols
Document Preparation:
Printed hotel confirmations for first 7 days
Embassy contact details
Health insurance (increasingly requested)
Entry Point Strategy:
Airports generally more lenient than land borders
Avoid "visa run" border crossings (e.g., Poipet)
9. Future Policy Directions
Digital Nomad Visa Integration:
Planned merger with exemption system
ASEAN Harmonization:
Potential 60-day standard for ASEAN+6 countries
Blockchain Verification:
Pilot program for digital proof of onward travel
Dynamic Pricing Model:
Proposed fee structure based on nationality risk factors
This technical breakdown demonstrates Thailand's visa exemption system as a carefully managed balance between tourism facilitation and immigration control, with increasingly sophisticated compliance mechanisms. The system continues evolving with new technologies while maintaining its core accessibility for legitimate travelers.

ᥫ᭡ PUNISHMENT ── .✦ B.E.

pairing: Billie Eilish x Fem!Reader
genre: angst with comfort
Synopsis: the night was calm, tranquil, and you were melting with Billie soothing touches. Until everything shattered, and you were reminded of your past.
cw: abuse (slapping, shoving) please don’t read if you are uncomfortable.
w/c: 1.3k
Soft, gentle music was playing in the background of the gentle atmosphere. The room was filled with love and warmth, the joy between you and Billie binding. The pendant lights above the kitchen island illuminated the room warmly, and the gentle bubbling of food cooking could be heard.
You and Billie were cooking together, having a bonding moment that you hadn’t been able to have in a while with her busy schedule due to the tour. You were glad that you could finally have her to yourself, even if it was just for a night. No social media, no paparazzi bombarding you two, just the calmness of your home, the two of you mingled together.
You were stirring the food in the pan gently, making sure none of the liquid had split out. Billie was hugging you from behind, her hands gently caressing your sides. Her chin was on your shoulder, whispering softly to you as your hips rocked from side to side together. You both were giggling over a small joke you had made about some of Billie’s fans, and her hands just squeezed into you softly.
This was all so perfect to you. You and Billie, so close, so intimate, and nothing could ruin the moment. Until something did.
You were getting the bowls of food ready as Billie set up the table, putting the utensils down where you two would be sitting. But as you began to bring a steaming bowl of food over to the table, your hip had hit the corner of the island table, making you accidentally drop the glass bowl. It shattered all over the ground, and you were left with your eyes watering, and the flashbacks of your ex relationship.
You and your boyfriend had been getting ready to eat dinner, you had cooked—what you thought—would be a good meal. Your boyfriend had always said your cooking was the best, and he loved it. So you opted to cook dinner every night instead of going out.
But then, by complete accident, you had dropped the plate, and it shattered all over the tile floor. You immediately began to apologize to your boyfriend, trying to fix the situation. But he was already fuming the second the glass shattered.
"You can’t do anything right, can you?! Fucking stupid whore!” He stood up angrily from his chair, the wood scraping against the floor. He stomped over to you, and that was the first time he slapped you across the face.
You never expected it, thinking he was a gentle man. But your thoughts had been completely wrong. You tried to stutter out a response, tears filling your eyes. But he wouldn’t let you.
"You’re a good-for-nothing housewife, you know that?! Can’t even get dinner to the table! Fucking useless slut!” He yelled before slapping you again. The tears ran down your face quickly, like they were a water stream that couldn’t be stopped. You began to tremble, trying to hide your face with your hands.
You didn’t understand what was happening. It was a simple mistake, right? You could always clean it up, and buy a new plate if it was really a big deal. But your boyfriend seemed to think otherwise. He thought you were useless, a little doll that was broken.
"You better keep your mouth shut, you hear me? Unless you want another beating, stupid woman.” He spat out at you, before shoving you to the ground. Then, he left. Like nothing had happened. Leaving you with a reddened cheek that stung, curled up in the corner of the kitchen. Your back pressed against the wooden cabinets.
And you didn’t have the heart to leave him. Ever since that day, you were too scared of him to ever disobey him. Ever since he left you curled up on the kitchen floor, like you were some broken toy.
Your mind suddenly placed you back into the present, where you were sobbing on your knees, desperately trying to pick up the hot pieces of glass, your hands trembling as your voice was a desperate plea.
"I’m sorry, I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to—it was an accident, it will never happen again—“ your sobs cut you off as you shakily picked up more pieces of glass, the hot steam still rising from the white bits.
Billie had a panicked look in her eyes as she saw you try to pick up the glass with your bare hands, almost squeezing the glass. "Baby, baby—hey, hey, sh, calm down, it’s okay. Breathe.”
Her hand went to your back, gently trying to calm you down. She wasn’t even close to mad—she was more worried that you were going to cut yourself on the sharp pieces of glass. Billie gently took the pieces of glass from your hand, before quickly throwing them in the trash can.
You couldn’t stop sobbing, the mere thought of having Billie yell and hit at you like your ex did sent a wave of dread and panic right through your body. You wanted to curl up into the corner of the kitchen—just like you did that night, and hide away from the world. You were stuck in your own head, trying to grab some napkins to clean up the mess you had made, but before you could, you were in Billie’s arms.
"It’s okay, it’s okay. You’re safe, I’m not gonna hurt you, baby. He can’t hurt you anymore. I’m here.” Billie whispered, cradling you in her lap and gently shushing you like you were a baby. She didn’t care about the mess or the broken bowl, she just wanted you to be okay. She wanted you to know she was there for you, and she wasn’t like your douche of an ex.
You immediately sunk into her arms, listening to her sweet, comforting words that filled your head. She always knew how to calm you down, knowing exactly how you worked. You melted into her embrace as your sobs turned into soft hiccups, and your body left with little spasms. You tucked your head under Billie’s chin, taking a deep breath.
Her scent was a mixture of vanilla and something purely her, and it made you feel a sense of tranquility. The tears stained your cheeks, no longer falling from your eyes.
"You don’t have to be scared anymore, okay, baby? I’m not going to hurt you like he did. I’m not him. We can always fix it.” Billie said reassuringly, running her fingers through your hair. She held you close, letting you listen to the rhythmic thump of her heartbeat.
You nodded against her chest, not trusting your voice at the moment. Your throat felt raw and scratchy, your body still trying to calm down from the panic and sobbing you had just gone through. Billie only held you, letting you get ready at your own pace.
"Let’s clean this up, yeah? Then we can get a new bowl and start over, okay? This never happened.” Billie said softly, before standing up with you in her arms. She gently put you down onto the ground, letting you stand on your feet. You nodded, wiping the tears away from your face.
"Go sit, we’ll eat and then we can go dance in the living room.” Billie said softly, running her fingers through your hair like you were a wounded animal in need of comfort. And you guys did exactly that. Billie had brought out the two bowls of food, and you both ate together like nothing ever happened. Like your ex never existed.
You were eternally grateful that Billie understood you so well. That she knew exactly how to calm you down.
You two slow danced in the living room to soft, classical music, the warmth of the room never once leaving.
And neither did Billie. ⋆. 𐙚 ̊

Info for writer in Thai series fandom: some music genres and foreign media in Thai
*Due to Tumblr's limit, this repost has fewer examples than on AO3*
Notes:
This chapter is partially because we have so many main characters who love music—an entire group of music lovers in some cases—so I feel like it would be a good topic, and partially because I wanted to introduce you to some of the songs I like. Did you know that at one point GMM was kind of a monopoly in the Thai (pop?) music industry? Not that they are small now by any means. They own so many copyrights, and they kept remixing and using them in the series. I do enjoy those songs, so I'm not complaining lol.
Let's start with some genres that are probably not known internationally.
เพลงลูกทุ่ง -phleng luk thung-country music
Phleng = music, song, melody, composition
Luk = child
Thung = field
Originated in 2480 B.E./1937 A.D.
Luk Thung is a modernized version of Thai country music. It has quite a distinguishing feature, both in the way people sing it and the instrument itself. It has a sibling called Luk Krung, which, unlike Luk Thung, is not a popular genre any more. Luk thung is a popular genre. There is a time when BlackPink is trending worldwide and at number one on many charts but still loses to a Luk Thung singer, Monkaen Kaenkoon, in terms of view count in Thailand. So, yeah, Luk Thung is popular. It’s not considered trendy, tho. Probably because we have a pretty classist society and Luk Thung's target group isn't, like, the elite or the wealthiest.
What the song's lyrics usually are about -Life, specifically the life of the poor. And love—I'm pretty sure love is the most popular topic in everything, whether it's tragic, funny, or touching.
Dancers - The dancers, specifically their outfits, are one of the highlights of the Lukthung show. It needs to be showy and eye-catching. Glitter and feathers are frequently featured. Even if you don't recognize the music as Lukthung, you would probably recognize an army of dancers clad in a very striking outfit as a part of a Lukthung show.
Example
From series
This one is a cover of Got Jakrapun’s, aka King of Luk Thung's, song.
youtube
เพลงลูกกรุง - phleng luk krung
Phleng = music, song, melody, composition
Luk = child
Krung = city, capital, metropolis
Originated in 2474 B.E./1931 A.D.
As previously mention, Luk krung and Luk thung are kind of sibling terms. But unlike Luk Thung, Luk Krung is not a popular genre any more. Every once in a while, someone will pick an old song to cover, but there isn't much of a new one, if at all.
Well, actually, since the definition of this genre is so vague, a lot of songs would technically count, but when the word Luk Krung is mentioned, people do have a certain expectation in mind, and it's pretty much "when grandma is still young". I doubt this term would ever be used to describe any new song that does not actively go for a retro vibe.
The Suntaraporn Band - Suntaraporn Band is a very old band and has produced many Lukkrung songs. They were the first ones to start producing what is considered Lukkrung music, actually. It was born in 1939 and is still active to this day.
Example
From series "I Will Knock You" - The song in the background is an original version, and this series also uses a rearranged version as an OST.
youtube
This playlist is not from a series but from the novel "I Will Knock You". They are songs that were mentioned in the novel.
youtube
Some singers
Gun Napat
-He also sings many other genres. To be honest, he actually didn’t sing Lukkrung song that much. But he’s great at doing it. You may recognize him as the one who sings A Tale of Thousand Stars OST.
Charin Nuntanakorn
-He has done a lot of things and has a lot of songs, including the one he begged a song writer to write so he could sing it to his now-wife. That song and its background story sounded like peak romance when my mom told them to middle school me.
The song -> https://www.youtube.com/embed/U7XubPfCXtY
เพลงเพื่อชีวิต - phleng phuea chiwit
phleng = music, song, melody, composition
phuea = for
Chiwit = life
Songs in this genre are about the lives of people, especially those of the lower class, and talk about the difficulties of being taken advantage of, as do songs calling for democracy and political satire. Songs are considered to be in this genre based on their lyrics content, not their music style. Many songs in this genre are also Lukthung genre.
Example
Commoner Band
- This band is formed purely to express political opinion, which is mainly disapproval for coups and people who gain from them.
TaitosmitH
-I see some people ask about songs that were played in LOL2023. One of them is Taitosmith's song. It's the one that's played by Ohm, Nanon, Sea, Gemini, Pond, Phuwin, Khaotung, and Joong. It's called ยุติ-ธรรม.
youtube
Caravan Band
- one of the first phuea chiwit band
youtube
This one isn't the band’s original song, but it's quite a symbol. Its lyrics are from Chit Phumisak’s, an activist’s, poem.
Singers who are also actors and have acted in a BL series
Kob Songsit
-Theerapanyakul dad from KinnPorsche
-Botkawee's dad from Be My Favorite
-Older Songpol from 55:15 Never Too Late
-He's done some musicals too, and they're great.
-The song Phupha plays in A Tale of Thousand Stars is his song from a musical he stars in, Thawi Phop(ทวิภพ) The Musical.
Here a full song with English sub
youtube
Nok Sinjai
-Older Jaya Janiya from 55:15 Never Too Late
- She has been in many dramas and musicals. She and Kob Songsit have done some musicals together before.
Nat Sakdatorn
-Kit(Chopper’s dad) from Never Let Me Go
-Sam from Friend Zone 2: Dangerous Area (2020)
-He is not really known as a professional singer, but he stars in the same musical with Kob Songsit and Nok Sinjai, and I love that musical’s songs.
So, here is the musical I mentioned.
youtube
It's called บัลลังก์เมฆ (banlang mek- cloud throne) the musical. This version is kind of the cut version, so the story line is quite rushed, but the songs are all there.
Nok Sinjai as Panrung, the protagonist Kob Songsit as Kuea, Panrung’s second husband Nat Sakdatorn as Pakon, Panrung’s youngest son
The story is about Panrung, who should have a smooth sailing life, but due to her horrible decision-making and being an asshole and dictator-mom, she ruins her own life and also makes her children's lives a disaster.
The characters consist of Panrung, her two ex-husbands, her current husband, her four children, her ex-friend, who is also her current husband's ex-wife, and their son.
The songs are good. The theme song is iconic. The plot is....
Jeep Wasu
-Older Seksan from 55:15 Never Too Late
-His other nickname is Jeep Ror Dor(จิ๊บ ร.ด.) from his famous song with the same name. Ror Dor-ร.ด.-รักษาดินแดน-Territorial Defense If Thai men do not want to be conscripted, they can choose to apply to be trained while they are still students. Those trainees are called ร.ด.
Lookwa Pijika
-Gun's mom from My School President
Mos Patiparn
-Kiao's friend from Past-Senger
-He also plays a musical
Intira Jaroenpura
-Our favorite BL mom
-She is more actor than singer, but she does sing a bit
-Thun's mother from He's Coming to Me
-Vanika, Thana's Wife, from 3 Will Be Free
-Her movie, Nang Nak(นางนาก 1999), made me relocate a Buddha image to under my pillow to maximize protection.
-Her half sister, Mai, is a big-name singer.
Some more Thai singers and bands
Bird Thongchai
If you watch anything from GMM regularly, then you've heard his song before.
For example, The Gifted 2 uses his song as background music, and the Never Let Me Go pilot trailer uses one of his songs and Our Skyy series name and the theme song are from the song, which was originally his too. Many of the songs that randomly came up in variety shows are his, both the songs the staff edited in and the songs people sing or make jokes with.
He started his career as a singer in 1983 and is still active to this day. He has been a household name since I can remember. His voice is very unique, and he is always open to new things.
youtube
Palmy
-Palmy's songs are never boring, and Palmy herself is also an interesting person.
-Friend Zone movie OST is originally her song.
youtube
-This song plays with the concept of losing Khwan and even has an explanation about a ceremony to call it back at the end of the MV. There is no English subtitle for that, tho.
Tattoo Colour
-This band’s name is a pun! Tattoo in Thai is Sak(สัก) and colour is Si(สี). Together, สักสี sound like ศักดิ์ศรี which means prestige, honor, fame, or honour.
Foreign media in Thai
Music
Thais have a large K-Pop fan base. My best friend has been a fan for more than a decade now, and the fan base seems to have only grown bigger since. J-Pop and C-Pop are not as popular, but I have personally known a few fans, and there is one in my timeline every once in a while, so I assume their popularity is steady.
And there are, of course, those big names: Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, Rihanna, Ed Sheeran, etc.
Animation
There is Japanese anime, of course. Japan is pretty popular in Thailand in general, whether in culture, products, or media. Anime, manga, novels, or even nonfiction books are getting translated all the time and are very easy to find.
China’s animation has started to gain popularity these past few years.
And there are American animation like Cartoon Network and Disney.
Books
Chinese books are always around, I think? In my understanding, (modern?) Wuxia genre market has its peek in Thai around 2500 B.E. or 1957 A.D., not that I would say it not popular anymore, but like, around that time there are some big translator that to this day people will still adopt their translation of idiom from them, so like, they are BIG. In present, Chinese books often has its own section in book store. If you are a Danmei fan like me you might notice before that there are a lot of official translation in Thai, it is a bless really. I would be reading a random unofficial translation on the internet, the translation not even half way, I was dying to know how it gonna be next, and before I know there is an official, complete translation I can get.
Japanese book also often has its own section in book store too. I would say that in a main stream book store the amount of Japanese book are less than Chinese but there are niche book store that sell Japanese books exclusively, and that is something. Those type of store will mostly cater to anime fans, so the book I talk about are usually something that has an anime adaptation or was adapt from anime, it will also have other merch.
Korean books are getting translate to Thai quite often but less than Chinese and Japanese for sure.
Books in English also get translate often too and books in English as it is are usually the biggest section in the books in foreign language(non-translation) category.
Usually if it is a classic or famous enough it likely to be translate at some point, no matter what language its original from.
Tv show- series/verities
US, UK, Korea, Japan, China, and India drama are what I know for the fact that there are a certain amount of avid fans out there. For verities, for Korea and China, I saw fans make a fan sub for their favorite group, but for Japan, there is an official sub and dub for quite a few programs, last I checked. Does that mean Japan verities are more or less popular in Thai?
In conclusion, it's usually the US, UK, Korea, Japan, and China.

This week, we studied the role of filters as huge forces in our culture and technology that play a part in our views of ourselves and others. From Lauren Miller’s lecture, it was clear that filters have developed past being just a funny visual effect. Instead, they quietly influence how female and queer people look when they are online.
Taking Rettberg’s (2014) thought into account, we notice that filters alter more than your photos and encourage following well-known beauty trends in a limited way. In the same way, filters give us personality traits by hiding some things, as coffee filters add an extra flavour when used. Their influence shows us to look and act in line with algorithmic choices about beauty, such as smooth complexion, identical features, and whiteness, as two writers refer to as “non-actual pretense of natural beauty” (Lavrence & Cambre, 2020).
Cases of Snapchat dysmorphia caused me to feel more concerned. The idea that many individuals want plastic surgery to match their filtered selfies (Rajanala et al., 2018) illustrates the effect the digital life has on people’s appearances. Thanks to objectification theory, people can start to judge their worth by their appearance as seen by other people.
Importantly, the lecture explained that filter culture can differentiate and leave out some people depending on their gender. Women and girls are supposed to enhance their appearance with filters, while men generally use filters to have fun with their pictures. Even so, people who don’t identify as heterosexual come across as suspicious to algorithms, causing them to become harder to find online according to Bishop (2021).
At the same time, Rettberg explains that filters are sometimes means for people to challenge the system. Filters make it clear how they support the very systems they pretend to challenge. Taking a selfie can mean accepting or rejecting these pressures, since it helps people feel more confident with their looks.
This week proved to me that filters can affect how we see things. Knowing how these sites affect people and are used by them can help you protect digital rights and seek greater diversity.
