Honestly a few quick reasons I kin Scaramouche:

The Betrayals. My gosh I feel his pain on a divine level, we are one. The amount of times I've been let down, disappointed, or deeply wounded lets me conclude how I shouldn't expect much, nor should I be dependent on these pitiful beings called humans. These filth always break their promises anyway, why bother.

I don't tend to view myself "higher" per say, rather that people are just that idiotic to truly be below me. Makes me both amused and irritated, but I suppose that's why many view me as "unique", "intelligent", and "divine" for my words and self. Which I greatly enjoy, and is true anyway.

But to add to my previous point, I'd still love to attain divinity. It's a constant, gnawing desire. If my mortal vessel was given the opportunity to gain divinity through perilous efforts, I am stubbornly certain that I can absolutely achieve that.

His need for control. But I won't elaborate on that further, it's personal to me.

"These human emotions are worthless". Also something I won't elaborate on, but it was a constant in my journey.

That is the surface of it. Honestly, I feel I am going from my own little "Scaramouche to Wanderer" change now, so we will see what comes of it.
