can you tell me more about like...the world(s) that your characters are in? you mentioned you have some different AUs and i love how you kinda have like an extended universe where you have a lot of OCs with friends like that's genuinely so cute TToTT like does it take place in an already established world from a show/game or is it totally original?
HOT DOG!!!!!! THANK YOU BUG This got long winded! the short answer is "they live in a supernatural version of las vegas". the long answer:
essentially, most of the OCs i talk about here were made for the sake of roleplaying or just chatting about with other people, for bashing my guys against theirs and making character connections. I DO have two original stories that i'd like to novelize, a period-drama lesbian vampire type deal and a fantasy tale, but i don't go on much about them on line because i want to keep those ideas under my hat. also, if i talk about them too much, i'll feel like i've written the story and then it wont come to fruition. So chumps like Mordecai, Jachobin, Hogarth, and basically any character i post about here are my "put them in my backpack when i go to my friend's house so we can play dolls together" characters. They're meant to easily shift (with adjustments of course) into other settings for the sake of roleplay. There are several truths about each character I need to maintain when AUing them, maintain structural integrity you know. That doesn't mean they're totally placeless, though. In general, I run under the idea that my characters live in a version of 2025 Las Vegas where vampires and paranormal things exist to varying degrees of public and government understanding. Here's something I wrote about it once (tumblr why can't i do blockquotes anymore?): "Vampires exist obviously, and are like..... known to exist, but if your friend claims he banged this hot vampire babe he is probably lying. They keep to themselves. The Bureau of Vampiric Affairs keeps a state by state registry of active vampires and damphyr, but they're considered a fringe government agency. They're there to provide benefits and support to local vampires. Mordecai is a board member of the Vegas chapter. There are witch societies, coven registries, et cetera, but many witches do not belong to them. It's a choice; if you want a network and support group and to meet other witches, they have monthly meetings, and the Vegas Society of Witches, Wizards, Warlocks, and Sorcerers has an office and resource center in the arts district near downtown. Yasmir is considered a sorcerer, as well as Touched by Winter. He is a member of the VSW3S (pronounced aloud as 'views') and is a board member in New Delhi's supernatural association. Victor Rodriguez, professionally known as Victor Richter, works for the state of Nevada as the Chief Officer of Occult and Paranormal Affairs. He's a busy guy." This is sometimes called "las vegas sun" or "haunted vegas". I also love stuffing canon characters from media into haunted vegas, and i love stuffing my characters into any other settings, even ones that my other friends have made up themselves! The Vegas thing is what I consider their baseline/standard/default. I LOOOVE an alternate universe - sometimes just within the same setting, but sort of a "what if this happened instead?" situation.
one of my favorite things in the whole world is to interconnect my friends ocs into a network. one day i'd love to have a big discord server of Pals to talk about our characters, making them interact or RP or just chatting and creating stories from that. maybe with one major story goal in mind? or maybe just for fun :)

RP Rules and Information
This blog is dedicated to my kinky Demoness OCs Krysalia and Sabela hybrid Gluttony and Lust Demonesses.
Due to the nature of the muse, this blog is strictly for RP with RPers who are 18+
I will not interact with minors, and my muse will not be involved with characters who themselves are under 18. (Mun is well and trully older than 18)
Rules:
I don’t expect essays, but a little bit of effort and pride in your writing is expected. Please don’t post single sentence responses.
I have no problem with slow or late responses (I sometimes take ages to reply myself).
I’m always open to plotting, feel free to message me or send me an ask. The girls love being fed questions!
Kink’s:
The following Kink’s are my preferred/accepted ones, if you want further confirmation about them feel free to message me.
Weight Gain/Feederism
Inflation
Belly stuffing
Bloating
Pregnancy
Cumflation
Pregnancy Transfer
Teasing
The Muses:
All art of my muses was drawn by @seenfull
Krysalia: 6'1"
The Gluttonous Demon you know and love, she's seductive, playful and open for just about anything, Krysalia is a mistress of delights and indulgence with a sassy side that makes her a favourite among the coven of gluttony/lust demonesses she belongs to.
Tumblr media
Sable: 6'2"
Sable: is a demon like Krysalia, but is a little more vain and proud of her curvaceous frame. She loves having curves, but hates being fattened up. Despite this she has a powerful sweet tooth she just can't resist indulging. She'll be proclaiming her superiority because she doesn't get fat as often as Krysalia one minute, and be unbelievably engorged the next. You just have to tip her over the edge.
Tumblr media
Cyrena: 6'4"
A fallen angel tempted into Krysalia's little coven, Cyrena is bashful and very new to her powers, yet this secret glutton can't resist exploring more and more. After all, she's already fallen from heaven, she may as well indulge now.

Ack! I just realized I never reblogged with all her character information!! .......Well, better late than never!
For anyone who doesn't know, this girl acts as my internet sona. ...She just also happens to double as an OC I use for RP's on @ratsoh-writes blog. (It is that specific instance where this character information comes from, much of which is NOT accurate to real life).
I'll put this below the cut because I know it's going to get long.
Full Name: Kyra Celeste Wingdings
Her AU: Dancetale
Favorite Color: (Coffee’s magic color, specifically when he's blushing)…. Or deep/dark greens.
Social Interactivity Level: Introvert. She likes outings....... when she's the one who made plans for them.
Any socializing and companionship is reserved for a handful of people, and for those people alone. She has her group and is quite happy, thank you very much! But please… let her have some alone time. The social battery is running low.
Favorite Item/Gifts: Trinkets related to a fandom/video game she happens to like. Anything that could be used to care for her multitude of critters. (Decor, substrate, plants, lighting, etc)
Hobbies: While not a professional by any means, she enjoys sketching…. mostly working with graphite and colored pencils, but she's willing to try anything once! (Coffee is helping her branch out to other mediums). She's also a gamer in her spare time. Open-world sandboxes, MMO's, puzzle / strategy games, simulators, first-person shooters… anything really.
Stats:
LV: 0
HP: 726
DF: 34
AT: 22
Status: “Thinking about catching up with ____” (Whoever is on her mind)
Friends: Coffee (Married / Soulbonded to), Wine, Artemis, Helios, Lord, Mutt, Mal, Sans, Papyrus, Slim (and Kay), Zen, Shield, Rowdy, Partner, Saga, G, Lens, Pluto
Personality / Job:
The girl is defined by compassion. She cares very deeply about people. A Kindness Soul through and through. Not to the point where she's an enabler, but she will go to great lengths to understand people. Not making excuses for past actions, but doing her best to understand the reasoning behind them and prompting them to do better now.
While a bit bashful and shy, she enjoys meeting new people despite her introvertedness. She needs variety in her life and will travel often through both the city and the greater area surrounding Ebbott, searching for something new to occupy her time.
Once you get to know her, not only is she sweet, but she has a mischievous streak a mile long. But everything she does is harmless! Pranks have no real consequences, and sarcasm is her primary sense of humor. (And maybe sometimes, a good pun or two despite Coffee's hatred for them)
She's always had a passion for animals, but after the crash, she decided to specialize in the more unusual/exotic… specifically reptiles! (Even having a whole collection at home, much to Wine's dismay). She actually made a career around her fascination, becoming a "Treasure Keeper" in Ebbott. (I'll try to add the link to Ratsoh's blog describing the job once I find the post again)
Since she officially bonded with Coffee, she has joined a coven and begun training to access her magic. It's..... an ongoing process. But she IS learning!

Did a pretty lady, Kyra, for @under-art-reblogs :) I had a lot of fun, especially designing the clothes!

Here me out. Ever After: A Cinderella story... But Huntlow.
There. That's it.
But wait. There's more!
Tumblr media
There's also Lumity and Raeda!
And of course some good ol' Odalia bashing. Because she's the worst.
Here's the cast:
The Brother's Grimm: The Collector
Grande Dame: ( Any Huntlow great grandchild oc)
Auguste de Barbarac: Gilbert Park
Nicole de Lancret: Harvey Park
Danielle de Barbarac: Willow Park
Gustave: Augustus Porter
Baroness Rodmilla: Odalia Blight
Margarite: Boscha
Jacqueline: Amity Blight
King Francis: Caleb Wittebane
Queen Marie: Katherine Cromwell ( It's Evelyn, but in this au she sneaks into the kingdom to get better insight on what's happening in the kingdom. Caleb comes along sometimes ☺️ Also this was my headcannon name for her before name reveal in season 3)
Prince Henry: Hunter Wittebane
Captain Laurent: Luz Noceda
Royal Page: Kikimora
Paulette: Lilith Clawthorn
Louise: Raine Whispers
Maurice: Eda Clawthorn
Leonardo Da Vinci: Mason Stonewall ( Head of Construction coven) or Alador Blight
King and Queen of Spain: Manny and Camila Noceda
Princess Gabriella: Vee Noceda
Gabriella's Love: Masha (did I forget to mention that Veesha was in this? Oops, hehe)
For those wondering about why Luz isn't the princess... she is.
In my au she and vee were switched at birth accidentally and Luz went with the wrong family who happened to be only visiting Spain and they were returning to France after the wife went into labor. I mean after recovering from giving birth of course. They were nice people, had good standing with the royal family, but unfortunately passed away. The mother passed from unknown illness and the father in a fight to stop a criminal outside of the kingdom.
Caleb and Katherine both decided that Luz would live in the castle with them. They wouldn't want a 10 year old to be out in the world on their own.
So it was decided that Luz would be raised alongside Hunter and they both trained in swordsmanship, archery and combat. Eventually, Luz would not only become the youngest captain of the guard at 18, but also the prince's most trusted companion ( only 2nd to Flapjack).
Though to Hunter, Luz was basically his annoying little sister.
When the plot kicks off the hexsquad is aged up to 18, Hunter is 19 and Gus is 16.

Kandomere X OC (Liren)
Pt. 6
Tumblr media
Liren sat in her living room, staring at her hands. They were calloused but there was no dirt under her nails, a first. They shook a little. Kandomere and Montehugh had gone only a few minutes ago. And Liren breathed a sigh of relief. Her successful luncheon had taken an unsuspected turn; not that they knew or so she hoped. She had slipped up about the coven and that worried her too. She couldn’t stop replaying the conversation over in her hear. Had she given too much away. Was it time to go? “Maybe I should just tell them. They could help.” That would be the smart thing to do. Fess up. Tell them everything and pray that it all worked out. Kandomere and Montehugh would vouch for her. She hadn’t done anything wrong. Not truely. But what if that backfired and blew up in her face. And they could get hurt. Feds or not. Kandomere would physically be able to hold his own against Fin but not the Big Softy… No, no, too much could go wrong. Liren chewed her lip and bounced her foot before she got up from the couch. She wouldn’t sit here and do nothing. She picked up her phone and dialed up another big softy. The phone rang once before the other end picked up.
“Hey, Hot Stuff.”
“Mikey, I got done early today. Wanna hit the gym? I feel like hittin’ something.” Liren could hear him laughing on the other end.
“Yeah. I’m here now. Bad day? That elf giving you problems?”
Liren sighed, “It wasn’t all bad. And no it wasn’t Kandomere.”
Mikey chuffed through the phone, “better not be Cotton Candy. I’ll kick his ass.” Liren rolled her eyes and told him she’d be there in twenty. Hopefully getting tossed around in the ring with Mikey for a while would help her work through these nerves and get her head back on straight enough to process. And when they finished up she was going to make sure her emergency bag was packed, just in case her paranoia turned out to be more than that.
A few hours later Liren stumbled through the door as she kicked her shoes off, and dropped her gym bag on the floor. Mikey followed suit, leaving his shirt at the door. He pushed the door shut with his foot and locked it before going after Liren again. He felt like he was on cloud nine. Liren had called him wanting comfort and he’d eagerly give it, in whatever form it took. It had started innocently enough at the gym, he egged her on, and picked at her till she snapped, and then he manhandled her all over the ring. And that gloomy mood she had come in with disappeared and she turned back into the little fire cracker he adored so much. She almost kicked his ass twice. Almost. But when he had pinned her the last time, the look she gave him was all the signal he needed. He had leaned into her neck for just a moment, to inhale the salty scent on her skin, as an involuntary growl rumbled through his chest. Liren’s eyes widened and then she played coy. She did what she always did when she was too shy to ask for what she wanted, went bashful and pretended like it wasn’t a big deal at all. She bumped his arm and asked, “are you coming or not?” Of fucking course he was. And he hoped that he would be very soon.
They’d behaved on the way back to her house. Liren was better at holding herself together than he was. If the tables were turned and he was driving, they would have wrecked or been pulled off to the side of the road long before now. “Maybe next time.” Mikey was so crazy for her. The high from their first time was starting to wear off and he wanted her so badly. He’d had a hard on almost the whole time on the mat. She always smelled so fantastic after they sparred; he couldn’t help it. Liren always smelled like flowers and that was great. But when she was like this, it woke up something primal in him, and he wanted to lick the sweat from her body as he buried himself inside her. He had wanted to for years and now the opportunity was being dangled right in front of his face, it was maddening.
Back in the present, Mikey barely managed not to rip their clothes as he stripped her down. And that was something he didn’t think he would ever get used to, actually touching her, and seeing Liren naked. Well that was something else entirely; something that was too good to describe. She was so fucking perfect, the way she fit in his hands, and the way she thrilled him. They had made it halfway down the hall when he scooped her up, cupping her bum, and walked into her bedroom. Mikey unlocked her legs from around his waist and Liren squealed as he dropped her onto the bed. He gave her a moment to right herself before he dropped to his knees and skimmed her thighs with his hands, and then his tusks. Liren let out a breathy sigh and looked down to watch him. Mikey grinned at her and gently nipped at the inside of her thigh. He wanted to tease her and take his time, but she squirmed and he could tell she was impatient. “Best be quick.” She opened her mouth to protest, something about a shower, but he tuned it out.
Mikey pushed her underwear to the side and traced a finger down her folds, getting a firm grip on her, before he dove in. Lirens head shot back and she thrashed as he moved his tongue. Her sharp little nails scored his head but all that did was urge him on. The orc continued to devour her until the strain on his nether regions was almost unbearable. He wanted her to come at least once before they moved on to the next part, because Mikey dreaded hurting her like that last time. She hadn’t seemed bothered by it then but he worried that she might be turned off if every time they coupled she was so sore after. And honestly it was hard to hold back but he would try and please her.
Once Liren finished, Mikey slid his hands behind her back and lifted her. He continued his oral assault until he reached the bathroom door and had to lower her. She squeaked again at the sudden change of location, and unwrapped her legs from around him, and waited while he turned on the shower. Mikey hated to lose that wonderful scent that clung to her skin, but they were both sweaty and he had had this fantasy about Liren in the shower for so long. He wasn't going to pass it up. Liren moved from the spot he had set her, on the counter, and she slipped past him into the hot water. Liren beckoned for him to follow, so into the fire he went. The water scalded his skin, particularly the little crescent moons on his head, but he would suffer in silence, because the war wounds were worth it. Let the blue haired prick see those.
The spray coated them both and made Lirens skin slippery as silk. He took a quick drink of the water that trickled down her neck, and ran his fingers across her stomach, to her hips. A rumble left his chest as Lirens bottom rubbed against his cock.
She had grown impatient again and took him in hand, lining him up with her opening, and pressed down on him. Mikey rested his shoulders back against the cool tile, and let her take control of him, it was intoxicating when she owned him, and took control. He loved it. She hissed at the tightness and Mikey tensed a bit. He leaned forward, into her ear, “slow baby, go easy.” But she was stubborn. She nodded once and eased the rest of the way. So stubborn. Mikey looked down at where they were connected and sucked in a breath. Liren bent at the waist and wiggled against him, making his cock twitch. Mikey took that as his queue and eased back into her, with hands on her hips for guidance. Liren moaned and cried out as they sped up. He took in the long expanse of her back and trailed a hand up and around her neck, clasping her throat. He pulled her back till she was flush against his chest, and grunted as he pounded into her.
“Fuck, Mikey.”
The next morning, Liren woke with a semi pleasant soreness to her body, extremely rumpled, and tarnished sheets. Memories of the night before brought a pleased smile to her lips as she glanced at the orc sleeping next to her. Mikey had been quite the cure for her worried mind. But even last night's events, no matter how thrilling, couldn’t distract her long enough from what troubled her. Fin. He had been on her mind a lot lately, like a dark cloud forming into a hurricane. When she was a kid, she could never understand why all the hurricane preppers acted the way they did; buy up all the bread and toilet paper. It never made sense to her. After Fin, she got it. The sense of urgency and the need for preparedness makes you a little crazy. She hadn’t checked her go bag last night, having put it off by bringing Mikey home. That old uneasiness rose up in her again and she decided not to put it off any longer. Liren gently eased from her bed and tiptoed into her closet, quietly shuffling a few storage bins around until she found the old duffle she was looking for. Inside she found all her things still inside. Clothes, money, paperwork. There were a few extra items in there this time, that she wished she had packed the first time she had gone on the run. Like her extra gun and shells. Just in case. She zipped the bag up and moved it to the front of her closet, onto the top shelf, for easy access. A part of her hoped she wouldn’t need it.
Liren dressed and crept past Mikey, down the hall to her office. She kept the bottom, lefthand, drawer of her desk locked, and inside it held paperwork that she would leave for Gemma. If there was time, she would go to her lawyers office, and double check that everything was set up for Gem to take over. Leaving would be hard enough, but the thought of abandoning the nursery and her best friend made her eyes water. She didn’t want to leave Gemmybean anymore of a mess than could be helped. She sniffled and whipped at her eyes. Gemma would be fine and she would take such good care of this place. And it wouldn’t be goodbye forever. That's what I told Mom too.
Liren felt like such a piece of shit. She knew she didn’t have to run but the thought of facing Fin again sent a chill through her, and the dread was monumental. If she ran into him again, she wasn’t sure exactly what he would do. She wasn’t even sure if he would really come after her. Perhaps she was being too cautious. So much time had passed and it could just be a coincidence that a wand, and his coven leader had turned up not even a few blocks from where she lived. Stranger things had happened before. Right? The sounds of Mikey waking in the room next door forced her to pull herself together, and back to the awkwardness that was sure to come, at least on her part. Mikey didn’t make it weird last time. And I won't either. But she knew better than to make promises that she couldn't keep. So she winged it.
And like the strong, secure woman that she was, she ran for the kitchen, for an emotional support coffee. On second thought tea might be better, the caffeine would just fuel her anxiety. This morning called for tea; for the soothing of the nerves. Mikey padded down the hall, locking eyes with her, and parking it at the counter. “Morning Lir.”
Liren flushed and returned the greeting. “Coffee?”
Mikey shook his head, then cocking it to the side and eyeballed her. “Were you crying? You smell stressed, or sad or something.” He moved from his spot, rounding the corner to be at her side. “Did I hurt you again?” His tone sounded worried and Liren rubbed his arm.
Liren was confused at first and then shook her head no. “Mikey, I told you last time that you didn’t hurt me. Soreness is fine, let it go, okay. No worries.” Mikey gazed down at her and Liren fought not to fidget. “Why are you so worried, huh? I’m tough, I can take you.” She covered her face with her palm, “I didn’t mean it like that.” That would be far too crude for this early in the day.
Mikey sighed, “You’re a filthy minded woman Lir. Not that I’m complaining,” he gently pressed his forehead to hers and inhaled, “I just don’t want to hurt you. I don’t want to mess this up… If something’s bothering you, you can always tell me.”
She melted. Liren snaked her arms around Mikey’s neck and bumped him back. “You're really sweet, do you know that?” He grinned a mile wide and hugged her. She squeezed him back and even giggled. Who the fuck was she? She didn’t giggle.
Mikey stuck with her for most of the day. They ate junk food, made out, and took another shower. Mikey was like a clingy puppy and she felt justified in that comparison, because the dude liked head scratches. She had been inspecting the marks on his head, apologizing profusely, while running a finger over one of the marks, while Mikey shrugged his shoulders and purred like a cat. Okay, so more kitten than puppy but you get the drift. Eventually she did have to take him back to his car. He kissed her goodbye, thoroughly, and asked if she wanted to do something this weekend. She nodded her agreement, so they settled on making plans later, and parted ways.
Instead of driving straight home, Liren made the short drive to Gemma’s house. She had been a shitty friend lately and they hadn’t spent much time together. Stopping at the nearest gas station, she picked up a drink for herself and Gemmy, and was on her way. But as she neared Gemma’s house, she noticed all the lights were off. Feeling a little disappointed she drove past and headed for home. She would just leave these things and a little love note for Gemma, for when she got to the nursery in the morning.
Because she had spent the whole day doing nothing with Mikey, she would have to catch up on things this weekend. It was getting time for another watering for the Solis tree and she wanted to do a check of the grounds. She had been so absent lately, she missed all her plant babies, and taking her morning walk of the grounds.
Back at home she changed her sheets and put a load of clothes in the wash and did some light housework. She was feeling a little lonely now that Mikey was gone. And hated that she was being so needy lately. The house was so quiet. Liren realized that she was one cat away from being the spinster cat lady. Which didn’t sound all that bad. And just when she was about to turn in for the night, there was a knock at her door. It wasn’t very late but too late for a social call. Perhaps Gemma had sensed her loneliness and come to straighten her out. Liren straightened the messy bun on her head and hurried to the door. When she glanced out the window a confused smile lit her face. She opened the door and greeted her visitor, “Well hello again, Michael.” The orc grinned sheepishly and rubbed the back of his head.
“Hey. I would have called but my phone’s dead. And I think I left my charger here…” Liren let him in and chuckled at how shy he was being all the sudden. She went to her room and found his cord but left it plugged in. She was glad at Mikey’s surprise return and decided that he would have to barter for his phone cord. She turned to find Mikey lingering politely in the doorway of her bedroom and grinned.
“It’s here.” Mikey sighed in relief and held out his hand. Liren shook her head and stepped into his space. “How about trade? You can have it back in the morning…”
Mikey perked up at that; his ears twitching. “You sure? I mean yeah,” he nodded and wrapped an arm around her waist, “that seems like a fair tradeoff to me. But what do you get out of this, besides my wonderful company, again?”
Liren booped his nose and grinned like a Cheshire cat, “I get to be the little spoon of course.”
Mikey laughed and squeezed her, picked her up and tossed her over his shoulder. He popped her butt and bounced her, “Well alright Little Mama, lets lock up. I wanna snuggle,” and they made a mad dash for the door. Liren’s giggles filled the hall. She wiggled in Mikey’s arms and he spanked her again. In retaliation, reached as far as she could and gave his ass a smack too. Mikey yelped and popped her rear again. Liren was careful not to kick any of her hanging plants as Mikey swung her around. He tossed her onto the bed, kicked his shoes off, and launched himself at her. They played for a while and when little tears started to form in Lirens eyes, from laughing too hard, she begged for a reprieve. Mikey kissed her and pulled her close. “Come here girl. It’s time to go night night.” Liren stilled momentarily and reminded him that she still had to get her things ready for in the morning, before wiggling out of his grasp. Mikey huffed playfully and promised to keep the bed warm till she came back.
After hurriedly setting her things out, changing into her pjs, and brushing her teeth, Liren plopped into bed and snuggled up next to the warm orc. She wiggled, trying to get settled, and felt Mikey pull her in. She took a moment and smiled to herself. It was nice, if not a little warm. “Thanks for staying again, Mike.” There was the lightest pressure from his tusks on the back of her neck and then the press of his lips. Lirens eyes drifted close as she relished the feeling. This shit made her feel so fuzzy inside. She murmured a quick, “night Mikey,” before she drifted off.
“Goodnight Lir.”
Mikey hadn’t planned for this. He was so glad that he forgotten that fucking cord. Sure he had a spare but he had to pass by Lirens place on the way home. And it was just another excuse to see her. He was hesitant to knock on her door at first, not wanting to bother her, and he worried that she would think he was coming around too much. But she had surprised him by inviting him to stay once again and being so adamant about it too. It gave him hope. And made him feel not like a Stage 5 clinger. He buried his nose in her hair and inhaled. He knew it was too soon to even think of it, but that didn't stop him from picturing coming home to Liren everyday. He had been in love with her for years. She still hadn’t brought up their previous conversation but her actions told him she was still interested in trying. He knew not to push her. She was like this scared little bird sometimes. And he wanted to protect her. He would. Starting with that blue-haired elf that had her at his beck and call. Liren hadn’t really explained what it was they were working on, she had been very vague saying that she was working as a consultant for them. Mikey opened his eyes to peek at Lirens sleeping form. She had been such a bouncing ball of energy earlier and yet she was out like a light. She must have been tired. He hoped she wasn’t overdoing it. She’d smelled different again, like she was stressed. Honestly he didn’t know how she kept the nursery going the way she did, and this crap with the Feds piled on top. She was amazing and had this way dealing with people that made them love her. But he didn’t want those guys to take advantage of her. She was too kind to turn them away even if it was putting a lot on her plate. That’s just how she was. Forever helpful and kind. He wished that she had refused them. It would have made both of their lives so much simpler. Mikey knew the elf had eyes for Liren. It was obvious enough and Mikey noticed Liren had some interest in the elf too. He could smell it, her desire. He didn’t understand it but Mikey told himself not to worry about it for now. He was the one sleeping in her bed after all. Marking her with his scent. Still, the elf bothered him and if it hadn’t been for the elf stressing Liren out, he might not have been where he was tonight. (Not true.) He was here because they liked each other.
It wasn’t long before Mikey shut his eyes, falling asleep next to Liren, with arms wrapped tight. The night was still other than the light breeze that rustled the windchimes on the patio. A pair of eyes glimmered in the light of a passing car. And then they were gone.
Friday morning came sooner than the pair would have liked. Liren slept soundly in the arms of her lover. The orc held her tightly against his broad chest while he snoozed. Liren’s alarm rang, stirring them from their slumber. She hit the snooze button, allowing herself to wake slowly, and enjoy the last few minutes of coziness with her Orc. When it went off a second time Liren scooted away from Mikey and started getting ready. He woke as she was brushing her teeth. He gave her a toothless grin and kissed the top of her head. He dressed and went into the kitchen, leaving her to finish up.
Mikey came back a few minutes later with two coffee cups in hand. She readily accepted one and sipped it while he watched her from the comfort of her bed. She noticed he was quieter in the mornings after he spent the night. Which was nice, it still allowed her her quiet moments in the morning. She was having a hard time waking up today and blamed it on the heaviness with which she slept. Glancing at the clock, Liren realized she was dragging a bit, and would need to hurry with breakfast if she wanted to eat before the agents got there. And it was in everyone's best interest that she did.
Mikey perked up and went back into the kitchen; presumably for more coffee.
He had heard the car pulling up and doors slamming. Mikey opened Lirens door after the first knock and came face to face with his least favorite person. Kandomere. He knew better than to slam it in the elf’s face. Liren wouldn't like that. So he invited the two agents inside and told them there was coffee if they wanted it. It was the same thing Liren always did for the staff here. She was nicer about it but Mikey was doing his best to play along. He couldn't help but feel agitated. He had woken up in the best of moods, snuggled up next to his girl. And the elf had to come in and sour it. (Smurf.) The big red head didn’t bother him so much but Mikey still thought he could take him. Liren complained about him in passing but it sounded like she liked the guy well enough. She talked about the elf just the same, but… differently. Mikey’s nose flared and he caught a whiff of the smelly cologne the elf wore. It burned his nose and he thought it smelled like something an old man would wear.
The three waited in silence for Liren to emerge. Mikey stood up straighter, his frame taking up the space around him. Liren had shouted from down the hall that she would be ready in a minute, and chidded the agents that they were early; by five minutes. Montehugh and Kandomere kept close to the front door and Mikey parked it in his spot at the island. This was his place in Lirens kitchen, the elf didn’t belong here. He gave the elf a hard look and decided against his better judgment to speak to the guy. “So what is it that you guys do all day? It’s odd the Feds need so much help from a gardener on a daily basis. Thinking of some nice boutineers for the badges or something?”
Kandomere didn’t respond at first. He eyed Mikey and took a sip of his coffee. “Ms. Daniels is working as a temporary consultant. Her knowledge of horticulture is beneficial to a current case.”
The elf hadn’t taken the bait when he tried to rile him, so he let it go, and tried a different approach. “Seems odd to me that you came here to the Orc sector, to look for a consultant. I mean Liren is the best. But not the most well known in some areas. It’s just strange to me. And I don’t remember seeing you around here before. How did you meet?” Mikey really wanted to know. Federal agent or not, the guy was a threat. (Whoa, where did that come from?) Mikey was taken aback by his own intrusive thoughts. Sure, he didn’t like the guy but he knew that he was being overprotective because it was Liren they were talking about. She was his. Mikey narrowed his eyes and tried to will away the headache that was building in his skull. He could almost feel the pounding in his head. (Probably from that nasty cologne.)
The big, red guy jokingly grumbled that they had just “bumped into her on the street.” Mikey doubted that. Gemma had been in a panic all those weeks ago because she hadn’t heard from Liren all day, and she seemed to be missing. Gemma had called him looking for her. And Mikey had been working at the nursery earlier that day and hadn’t seen the two agents enter the property. Sometime that afternoon they had gotten ahold of her. It seemed super sketch to him. Pulling her off the street like that. Not very professional for two guys who were supposed to be Federal agents. Mikey wasn’t impressed. And it pissed him off that they might have plucked Liren off of the street while she was alone running errands. “Well, I hope you know what you’ve gotten yourselves into with her. She’s very popular in this area. That's afforded her a lot of protection.” Mikey let that sink in. They knew he wasn’t talking Clan law, this was Fog Teeth territory. His territory. They needed to know she was protected. (By me.) Mikey swallowed the growl that was bubbling in his throat.
The big guy let out a chuckle and the elf smirked at him. “I don’t think Ms. Daniels needs anyone’s protection. She seems to be highly capable of handling things on her own.” Mikey couldn’t help the chuff that escaped him now. (These guys act like they know her so well. They’ve known her for a whole two minutes.)
That was true. Liren could handle anything. “Yeah, she's strong. You should see the way she manhandles me. But if push came to shove, she’d have the whole neighborhood at her back. Clan sticks together.”
“She's not clan blood.” Montehugh quipped.
“She doesn’t need to be,” Mikey clarified roughly. He spoke directly to Kandomere now. “She might not be Orc, but she's got the heart of one. And we look after our own. It’d be best not to forget that.”
On the outside, the agents only blinked. There might not be any visible signs of the elf’s frustration, but Mikey knew he’d ticked him off. The cold bastard. As long as the elf stayed away from his girl, they wouldn’t have any problems.
Mikey was feeling rather pleased with himself when Liren emerged before anymore could be said. She was apologizing for running behind and quickly pouring her coffee into a tumbler. When she turned to acknowledge everyone she realized there was a strong sense of tension in the room. There was a definite mood among the group gathered here. What kind of mood she couldn’t say. “Pissy?” She nibbled her lip and smiled. She hoped they had been playing nice. Probably not based on how Kandomere was staring a cold hole into Mikey’s head. There had been a bit of… tension between them, Mikey and Kandomere, last time. “What were we talking about? Anything important,” she asked sweetly.
Montehugh laughed, “Just you, Sugarplum Fairy.”
It was only seven in the morning, and Liren tried her best to be the mature adult that she was, but that didn’t stop her from making a face at the older man. “We should probably get going, yeah?” That seemed to snap everyone into motion. The two agents moved to leave, followed by their female companion, and the orc boy behind his lady. Liren waved a small goodbye to Mikey. He approached her, giving her shirt a tug, and kissing her when she stumbled forward. His mouth on hers was a little rougher than she was used to, and she was a bit embarrassed at such a display with Kandomere and Montehugh so close.
“Have a good day, Lir.”
Liren turned a light shade of red and swatted him away. Why was it these men felt the need to try and fluster her all the time. She was NOT a Sugarplum Fairy! She was a goddamn Sour Patch Kid! She hoped Clifford stubbed his big toe. And that morning Mikey stopped giving her such intimate kisses that early in the day. Not that it wasn’t nice, but damn! She just wasn't prepared for such intensity that early in the day.
Mikey watched Liren go and had to fight the urge to go after her. He hadn’t realized how hard he was breathing, and his headache was still building. He felt a bit more at ease now that the elf was gone and his own scent was the only one in the room. His and Lirens. And then it hit him…
He always felt some type of way around Liren and it didn’t take much from her to get him going. And while he had slept well, he had woken feeling a bit warmer than usual. He didn’t feel sick but he thought he might be coming down with something. And then a thought struck him and his stomach sank. (Am I going into heat?) He’d never gone into a heat cycle before, so he couldn’t be sure. He’d felt so riled up as soon as the elf was at the door. Mikey knew that had to be it. The elf was a possible rival and Mikey’s internal wiring was starting to ring all the bells and alarms. He’d been unintentionally covering Liren with his scent every time he saw her. Now he started to panic. Did he tell Liren? Would she freak out? He didn't know for sure. He was freaking out. His deep attraction and affection for her was part of what set this off, if that was what this really was. Not that this was her fault. He would fight anyone who said otherwise, himself included, but that was just the hormones talking. Mikey took out his phone and typed out a text to his dad, he hesitated sending it, only because he would never hear the end of it. He just hoped his dad didn’t tell the guys. At least not till this was all over.
When his fathers name popped up on his phone screen, he answered immediately. “Father.” Dorghu’s laughter rang in his ear.
“My son, tell me what is the matter.”
Mikey took a moment and gathered himself. He described his sudden ailments to his father while pacing the room. He was annoyed at his fathers sudden sense of humor. Mikey didn't find this funny at all, if this was heat, he could very well hurt someone, he might even hurt Liren. She was strong but fragile.. He relayed these concerns to his father and the laughter died as he voiced his concern, “I could hurt her.”
“Forgive me, son. Come home. We should talk.”
Mikey agreed and ended the call. His father had surprised him before concerning Liren. He knew that Dorghu didn’t dislike her. It was just… she wasn’t orc. That hadn’t mattered before but now that she had become so intimately entwined in his life, Mikey was worried. He had meant it when he said he didn’t want to hurt her; in any way, shape, or form. Liren was tough for sure, but could she withstand a mating haze? If he lost control, which was a very likely thing to happen, with this being his first go round, he would never forgive himself. He would deal with that when the time came he supposed. For now he would seek his fathers advice and try not to lose his cool again. It would be best to steer clear of the blue elf, if they didn’t want blood to flow.
Back at the car, Liren was still flushed from her lip lock with Mikey. He had gotten into the habit of kissing her goodbye, which she secretly liked, but this particular instance felt different. It was a little rough and not like the sweet kisses she was used to receiving from him. It wasn’t that she minded the intensity so much, as it was sharing that intensity in front of others. It made her feel bad, almost guilty sometimes. She probably needed to talk to Mikey about that. Liren wrung her hands as she thought about how their last conversation had gone. Unfinished and unanswered. And that was her fault. She couldn’t keep dragging Mikey along like this, just because she needed him, and she was lonely. He was too good for that. He was too good to her.
She knew this strange attraction to Kandomere was part of her problem. There was just something about him that drew her in. Like every other blooming romantic cliche, it all started with the eyes. They were so magnetic, neither pair of orbs seemed to be able to resist the attraction, but instead turned on themselves to repel away from one another. Which was a shame. Liren knew she would drown in those eyes if given the chance. She had swam in similar waters before. The trouble with those eyes was that they were easy to fall into but hard to tread, you were so mesmerized that you didn’t notice as the icy coldness crept over your skin, and you were struggling to stay afloat on numb limbs. The siren’s call lingering under the surface, echoing. It was a good thing she didn’t swim often, metaphorically, or whatever this was. This is what she meant when she told herself Kandomere was a problem. He became something else, another entity for her to basque over, he was just a man. A beautiful, elven, man, nothing more. (Stop idolizing him.)
Kandomere continued down the road with his usual speedy ease as they set off for another day of stop and go’s. She had gotten used to being cooped up in the car for hours at a time by pretending she was going on vacation, or just letting her mind wander; whatever struck her fancy that day. She was guilty of frequent thoughts of various distractions... Music helped. Kandomere had remembered to play some for her. Even setting up the Bluetooth in the car for her. And they had come to an unspoken agreement about the ambience of the car at various times of the day. Kandomere played her stuff after lunch and he tried to enjoy the silence in the morning hours, or he played some of her more tame playlists, mostly the ones with Tony Bennet and Frank Cinatra. She thought that was fair. Her thug shit and girly music was better suited for the afternoon anyways. Morning Liren and Afternoon Liren were two different people, even she needed time to wind up to that. She and Montehugh sometimes tried to keep the peace till lunchtime, but like always, those times were few and far inbetween. And Montehugh had broken their unspoken truce this morning, with the Sugarplum comment. She smiled to herself and decided today she would be merciless, in a fun, good natured sort of way. Today at lunch she would throw him a curveball and side with Kandomere. It would be a big blow to their silly alliance, it might crush him, but it must be done. She couldn’t let him forget just who he was dealing with. She was a badass gardener, she could think of a multitude of ways to dispose of his body and not get caught. She quietly hummed in the backseat. She’d like to see a fairy do that.
Kandomere turned the radio up so that she would hear and focused his eyes back on the road. Liren had also gotten used to being around Kandomere, kind of. He still made her feel like a little girl with her first crush. The one where you were totally obsessed but he had no idea that you existed. She wasn’t obsessed but she still had a mild fascination with him. He was so mysterious, which should have been a red flag to her subconscious, and kept her curiosity to a minimum. After so much time spent together, she thought she would know more about him by now. She knew that he was serious but kind. He even had a sense of humor buried underneath the layers of his expensive suits. It made her feel like she had really done something when she could get a smile out of him. It had only happened once, and she was certain that he didn’t know that she had caught him. Liren frowned to herself, when had she become such a creep? And over a one sided attraction.
It was around lunch time when Liren’s curiosity circled back around to the strangeness that had happened in her kitchen. “So are either of you going to tell me what happened this morning?” She tapped her fingers lightly against the car and glanced at Kandomere. He knew what she was talking about and she wanted to hear from him what was going on, Montehugh had been strangely tightlipped this morning. She wanted to know why Kandomere and Mikey seemed to be having such tense relations all the sudden. To her knowledge, they had only interacted a handful of times. She figured some of Mikey’s hostility towards Kandomere was due to his fathers profession, his own gang related activities, or possibly just because Kandomere was an elf. She hadn’t really thought about it all that much, because she and Dorghu had come to an agreement that none of that gang shit was to happen anywhere near her place, and that promise had been kept. And she had made her own promises in return. She supported the community. She hired locals, orc and human alike, and gave back when she could. It wasn’t like she had to withstand any hardship on her end of the deal, it wasn’t like she wouldn't have done those things anyway. She wanted it to be her home and she invested in it, and the people. She had turned a bit of a blind eye to some of the things that when on across the way but not in her own home.
Kandomere said nothing. And when the ginger kept quiet, she knew something was up. What had Mikey said? She hoped it wasn’t anything embarrassing. “What? Why won’t you answer me,” she asked lightly.
Montehugh answered first, all gruff like, “Like I said, it was about you.” Liren might have blushed but now she was curious. She waited for him to elaborate. And… nothing. So she directed her question back to Kandomere.
“And you? Don't you have anything to say?”
Kandomere opened his mouth to speak but nothing came out. She laughed a bit at how tight lipped they both were being. “What is it? Cat got your tongue? God, tell me it wasn’t something awful.”
Kandomere met her eye for a moment, seemed to contemplate, and looked away. Montehugh huffed and Liren waited but the only sound that filled the space between them was awkward silence. Liren gave up and asked Montehugh to turn the radio back up. (They’re acting so strange today.) Their lack of response worried her a little. She would strangle Mikey if he said something embarrassing. Or had it been these two that started the line of conversation? “I really wish you would just tell me. I don’t think we should keep secrets from each other, the car is a safe space.” She tried luring them and they just wouldn’t bite. Liren huffed and settled back into her seat.
“It was about protecting you.” Liren looked up to see Kandomere watching her. She was a little confused. Liren arched her brow, and motioned for him to go on.
“What’s that supposed to mean? I can take care of myself. Are you talking about the vest?”
“Tell the kid that,” Montehugh intervened. Liren paused and let the information settle. Mikey?
“What do you mean by that?” Montehugh rubbed the back of his neck, Liren caught him shooting Kandomere a look, and remained silent. Liren felt like the odd man out. She went from curiously questionable to anxiously frustrated in a matter of moments. Not an unusually large leap for her train of thought as of late. “What exactly did he say,” she tried to hide the trepidation in her voice. They had been making this such a big secret all day but it seemed silly to her. They continued to remain silent, like what little explanation they had given was enough. “Kandomere.”
There was a brief moment shared between the cool blue and rooted green eyes, and then it was gone again.
Kandomere placed the car in park and righted himself. He himself would not have chosen to mention the discussion at Liren’s house this morning, but Montehugh had cracked, and Kandomere couldn’t blame him. Liren was persistent, like a bloodhound on a trail. She wasn’t stupid and knew that something was up. As much as Kandomere disliked the thought of Liren and the orc boy's relationship, it wasn’t his place to go causing trouble for them. He was too biased on the subject of Liren, too interested to be fair. Kandomere sighed, “I don't have an opinion on the matter,” he replied, exiting the vehicle. Which was the only proper reply he could think of.
And he was trying, trying to keep a respectable distance from Liren, physically, and mentally. He had come to find that a difficult task after spending so much time together these past few weeks. Kandomere was certain after the first week his interest in her would fade as the mystery of her unfolded, and would remain only in a way that pertained to their working relationship. The only interesting fact about her, that he should have been concerned with, was her ability to locate the wand. By week four, he knew that would be impossible. She was beautiful and fascinating. He found himself looking forward to the sound of his alarm in the mornings, not for the advances that might be made in the case, but for the time spent near her, what he might learn about Liren. Their relationship wasn’t one of companionship and Kandomere knew that, he did not let that stop his mind from pretending otherwise. Gradually he learned about her. He knew she didn’t like to be late for things, it made her anxious. She didn’t like surprises and she felt punctuality minimized the risk of the unexpected. She liked her coffee beige but preferred chai tea lattes from Starbucks, as a one of her guilty pleasures. She liked to dance and play her music just a little too loud. She often sang along, quietly, to herself. He could tell she had a hard time keeping still, she didn’t like being in the confines of the vehicle all day, so he opted for lunch ventures that had outdoor availability. She seemed lonely to him sometimes but he could never pinpoint the reason that he thought so. She also liked Ulysses, he had guessed as much, but she had told him that herself, and sworn him to secrecy. She was silly and sweet most days, and always smelled like citrus. And Orc.
His last train of thought snapped him back to reality where Liren followed and quickened her pace to match his. He could see there was this sudden anger, from his lack of response, building in her like a fire. It rose up in her belly, like a fire breathing dragon, and heated words spilled out from her throat. Liren scoffed loudly. “Don’t think I haven’t noticed. I’m not sure who started it and I don’t care but It sure seems like you have a stick up your ass everytime Mikey is at my place! Care to explain?” Kandomere came to a halt, giving her a reproached look. She thought he was the problem! His brows knit together and Kandomere had to pinch his nose, because she was flooding his senses. He couldn’t talk about this now, he surged forward. Trying to put distance between them. And she snapped at him. “Is it because he's an orc?” She jogged past him, spun around, and scowled. Then glared daggers at his chest. At his gorget. “I mean nothings better than being an elf right. They are just so much better than everyone, “{Above all others}” am I right”, her fake smile was nothing but confrontational. Had she lost her mind!
Kandomere stumbled with his reaction, to form a response. He felt his own anger rising. Not at Liren but at having been found out in a way. {Does she know?} He had been careful with her. Tired to keep his silence on the matter but she wouldn't have it. She read him too plainly and she always wanted an answer from him. And then she drove the nail home with her throwing the gorget in his face. He thought she knew him well enough to know that meant nothing to him. Not in the way she thought it did. But she wasn't a mind reader, she wouldn't know. Kandomere swallowed the surprise that filled his throat and it came back up as hot air, hissed through his teeth, “I refuse to speak to you when you're acting like this.”
“Of course I’m the problem. It couldn’t possibly be you. Not the perfect elf! Not Kandomere that never loses his temper.” Liren shouted as she stormed away and slammed the car door. Kandomere snapped his mouth shut, turned on his heel and strode away to conduct the search on his own. And poor Montehugh was left as the middle man. Having been married for many years, he knew better than to poke the bear when it was angry, so he went after the boss man, the safer of the two choices. Kandomere had a nasty temper when he got pissed off and could be downright scary, he had seen it before, but this wasn’t one of those times. To Montehugh, it seemed like Kandomere’s pride had been hurt. Liren was young and he remembered what it was like, being full of spitfire. She hadn’t blown up like that since the first time they had met. And in hindsight, he should have just kept his trap shut and he knew the orc kid was just trying to look after his girl, that didn’t make him a bad guy. Montehugh supposed he did it because he knew how Kandomere felt about Daniels. He thought it might help sway things in the bosses favor; it wasn’t to paint the kid in a bad light. Montehugh decided he was a shit matchmaker and decided to keep his nose out of other people's business.
Liren didn’t know what had gotten into her. She hadn’t meant to lose her temper like that. And over something so stupid. It was dumb. But so was the way they were acting. She was over it. She had pretended not to notice the animosity between Kandomere and Mikey but she had. It couldn’t go on. And Mikey… he was going to get it too. How dare he go sticking his nose where it didn’t belong! Just because they were sleeping together didn’t give him the right to go butting into things he ought not to. She could handle her own affairs. And he should know better than to throw his weight around with the Feds. What a stupid thing to do. His dad wouldn’t like it either. She wouldn’t rat him out. But Mikey should know better. Anger and a tinge of worry whorled in her stomach as she watched Kandomere walk away.
She continued to fume in the car until it got too hot. She fanned herself before cracking the door to let the breeze in. She took a few calming breaths. She had made an ass out of herself just now. She would apologize later. When the stupid anger wasn’t still fresh on her tongue.

HEY GUYS I MADE AN OWL HOUSE OC!
Tumblr media
His name is Julian Duskworn, a 16 year old hexside student who studies the abomination track. He’s quite skilled in that track. Now for more information:
•He works after school for Blight Industries, as an assistant to Alador Blight. He gets Saturday off.
•He’s Pensive, Resourceful, a bit obsessive over his work, and bashful.
•he’s also 5’6.
•his Palismen is a Koala named Cosmo.
•So he was born with this disease known as the Crimson Cough. It was caused by a parasite that infected his mother shortly before he was born. It causes him to cough up blood (hence the name.), painful stomach aches, and occasional fainting. (this is because he coughs up enough blood to where he looses some of the blood flow to his brain, and that causes him to pass out. but not enough blood loss to kill him.) there is currently no known cure.
(NOTE: I don’t know if this is accurate or not, cuz I’m not a doctor (I’m sorry to my Filipino grandmother.), so I could easily be wrong about how this works, but this is a pretend world where things like this can work so- LETS DO THAT!)
•his main ambition (at the start of his story) is to eventually become a leader of the Abomination Coven, and overcome his disease. these may change, for he’ll develop as a character more.
•his mother passed on shortly after he was born, and his father isn’t really in the picture. he’s being raised by his aunt.
•he’ll probably get adopted by Eda tbh-
and here is his palisman, Cosmo! (and please ignore my chicken scratch handwriting.):
Tumblr media
And here is his casual clothes when he isn’t working, which is rare.
Tumblr media
And that’s about it for now! He’s definitely gonna get more development! thanks for reading!!

In The Works...
(Yall choose which one interests yall the most)
1. Heaven and Hell (Alec Volturi × OC)
In which Bella Swan's younger sister has a hard time distinguishing her dreams from reality.
( Trigger warnings : kidnapping / near-death experiences / actual death experiences)
Note: Alec/the Volturi doesnt kidnap Lilith (oc), but rather, an angry vampire does and a shit ton of stuff happens. (This whole kidnapping bit happens when Alec and Lilith already know they're mates, but Alec doesnt know she's been kidnapped because Alec at the time is busy in Italy so yeah)
This fic features a bit of Bella bashing (i mean, they're sisters?) but also it has Bella bashing because of a LOT of miscommunication. But yeah, otherwise it's super fluffy and cute but also like this shit is fiction so dont go into real relationships expecting this sort of thing okay?
2. To Make A Deal With The Devil (Alec Volturi × OC)
"The Volturi... they dont value dreamers. They destroy them."
Adaline Swan, like other teenagers her age, had always felt as if she were born in the wrong century - wrong place, wrong time, as she'd put it, when she'd be caught doing strange things teenagers her age wouldnt be doing.
A prime example of that fact would be of her taking a lovely stroll through the woods, in the early hours of the morning, when the sun's rays would have only kissed the horizon, and the trees would let in barely any light.
Most teens would not venture in there alone, even if the sun's light penetrated through the trees like glass, out of fear for predators larger than themselves stalking them, making them prey, through the denseness of the trees around them.
But Adaline, she was convinced, was not like most teens - not when she realised, instead of fear, her veins were filled with adrenalin when her eyes took to looking at the tall trees of the forest. They beckoned her, singing to her a song that simply called for her to join them - take a walk with them, spend some time in their company, where Ada, who always loved the scent of forest and pine and the rain, would be filled with a sense of accomplishment, and something even more so... a feeling of being alive, and truly, one with the world around her.
Basically Ada Swan has my entire heart and Alec Volturi's as well but he wont say that bec he's dumb.
Oh yeah i forgot to mention this little piece of information:
It was a well-known fact to the Olympic Coven that Alice Cullen's vision were not always... set in stone. Rather, they were subjective to the decisions of others. And so, one would never really worry about a vision, unless it was repeated.
Such was the case when Alice Cullen witnessed visions of Ada Swan - and if one thing was constant in those visions, it was this: her gruesome death. It was something Alice saw every. single. time. she found herself trying to look into the far-future of the girl, but to no avail, Adaline Swan's future was set in stone : she would die a most horrible death - and regardless of the intervention of others, Adaline Swan would stay dead.
3. A Little More Than Ordinary (Demetri Volturi × OC)
Enter: Valerie Swan, twin sister to Isabella Swan, whose mind is always running, but mouth is always shut!
In truth, Valerie Swan has always been a sort of background character - not quite the "speak unless spoken to" but more so the "speak if i have something worth saying", but the issue is... when Valerie speaks, it's almost as if no one hears her.
This fic is a relatively new idea of mine, and features a lot of like, self-esteem issues (i mean i guess? I dont want to necessarily say that Valerie has a low self esteem, what with having a twin whose shadow she cant quite seem to get out of, but Valerie does have issues i just dont know how go put it into words yet so im just not)
( Trigger warning : character self-doubt / rejection / sadness / loss of hope / all that jazz but im not gonna make it too sad bec i cant deal with intense emotions so )
4. Liquid Sun (Demetri Volturi × OC)
Aurora Swan is the embodiment of the sun in all it's glory when it rises on a new day, and when it sets at the eve.
Honestly Rory's powers give me Alina Starkov vibes (but i mean, that's just the imagery, Rory's abilities arent even CLOSE to that) -
But anyways: when you think of Aurora, i want you to think of warmth, and happiness, and kindness, and the sun. I want you to think of the galaxy and her stars, and i want you to think of the lights in the north pole, as they dance across the sky, making it their dancefloor. I want you to think of Aurora as a person who is so pure, that you could get angry at her for being so kind - so forgiving - so hopeful. But not naïve. Never naïve, because while Aurora Swan does cherish forgiveness and kindness and acceptance, she knows just what a cruel world this is - and she knows the value of a kind smile, a warm touch of the hand, a fleeting nod of approval. And perhaps, that just makes Aurora the most valuable of them all.
5. Saint Val (Felix Volturi × OC)
In which Valentina Swan doesnt necessarily hate her life, but would rather sleep away than live it.
MAJOR NOTE: this is another character of mine called Val (not the same as Valerie Swan, who is another character from the previous fic idea) - i really liked the name Val and the full name of the character that i dont wanna mention bec idk i just love it so im keeping it a surprise so yeah dont confuse these two characters because damn are they opposites.
Val Swan hates everything - well, not everything, just nearly everything. She hates her mum for relying on her sister and herself when it should have been THEM relying on HER, she hates her dad for not trying as hard as he should have to support them (because, i mean, come ON Charlie, your girls were basically smacking "nature" in the face by looking after Renee while they were growing up!), but most of all, Val Swan hates the fact that her sister would go to hell and back for her rat-looking boyfriend, but when it comes to her, she just... wouldnt.
Of course, that's an exaggeration... or is it? Maybe her anger's a by-product of her sleepiness (if so, is it normal for a person to be so sleepy all the god damn time?), or maybe it's a by-product of her hunger (again, is it normal for a girl to be hungry all the damn time???), or maybe, it's a by-product of something else... something much deeper than the superficialities (is that a word?) of human kind. Perhaps, it's a by-product of a (here comes the cringe!) slumbering power, on it's way to being awoken. Badum tss.
(Ignore the cringe pls, but yall basically get the vibes - super small Swan with sort of anger issues, but only when she's hungry and tired which is nearly all the time because she has to deal with the nonesense that is sparkling vampires in her world)

I’m mad about Hunter being written off and here’s why you should be too
You: wasted potential.
Me, an intellectual: ah, Hunter and Nicola’s friendship
I have strong opinions about Hunter.
Yeah, you heard me right.
Look, I have strong opinions about many, many, things. Today, we are taking a dive on Hunter and Nicola. First I’d like to blame this post on Kate, as I decided to make it after I tried to articulate why Hunter being written off TCY makes me so angry in a huge comment under her latest OTK post but it ended up being too big and messy so I deleted it. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone elaborate on it, so if you were also mad about this, bro, not to be intense, but like, are we soulmates or...??
Before anything else, as I usually do with my text posts (which I haven’t done in a while, opsies), I shall provide you with arguably unnecessary context. Sit down, grab yourself some snacks, make yourself at home, I’m about to rant you into oblivion.
Since I know many accounts weren’t around back then, I’ll also give you the socio-political vibes of the time period, as any self-respecting half-baked essay written last minute should.
POV, you’re 14/15 year-old me. You flat iron your hair, you don’t use sunscreen, you think you’re straight and your school makes you wear those horrid low rise uniform pants, but at least you can somewhat do your make-up decently now that you grew out of your emo phase.
The year was 2016. The Ever Never Handbook has just come out. You re-watch the handbook trailer on youtube for the fifteenth time. Everyone is losing their minds over OcTObeR 14tH and “a student named Agatha ~ now Agatha of Camelot~”, as well as the portraits and the teasing for a new SGE book. Quests For Glory is announced just a few days later. 2016 tagatha ship week happens a few months down the line.
This is the SGE Tumblr Fandom Peak.
Now, let’s start right there, two-ish weeks after the release of the Handbook, right as the QFG announcement comes out.
We all knew Soman wasn’t done with SGE after TLEA. He definitely had been teasing something in his weekly blogs (lol, remember when I used to check the blog, what a time to be alive) and once we got the ENH, we got quite lot of info to theorize. Here’s some that I can think off the top of my head:
- The coven was going on a mission to find a new School Master.
- Tedros and Agatha were struggling financially in Camelot but were going to get married soon (even if Sophie doubted Tedros would have asked Agatha yet, as of the time of the Ever Never RoundTable, but we’re taking that with a grain of salt, because she was written to sound jealous here, and I won’t acknowledge that kinda of bs, she is happy for her friends okay, we’ve been though this-)
- Sophie had completely remodeled the School For Evil and was getting on Dovey and the rest of the faculty’s nerves (except for newly hired history teacher, Hort).
- The rest of the supporting cast had just graduated third year and was to be off in quests soon.
- The School was now accepting applications, and two of those applicants are Nicola and Bogden.
Now, I’m not even gonna bring up how it was mentioned in a video in EverNeverTv that Bogden would be an important character in TCY, and yet, I can’t think of anything relevant about him other than the fact that he knew tarot apparently, or how his application had more personality than him in the entire series, or how he was basically there so we could look at him and Willam and be like “oh, representation”, or how he’d be a good insight on how Galvadon perceives Sophie and Agatha post-TLEA, or- I’m just not gonna.
Oh, no. Instead, we are here to discuss Nicola’s application.
If your memory is foggy, let me remind you:
Nicola’s application is submitted, according to the Handbook, by her friend, Hunter. For convenience sake, we’ll assume Hunter is a guy (I’ll tell you why Hunter being a guy works better for me in a bit), but his gender is not mentioned anywhere in the ENH. I don’t think he has been gendered in any version (correct me if I’m wrong) or if there are any pronouns for him during TCY, but I’m fairly confident he isn’t mentioned at all.
Hunter tells us he is applying on Nic’s behalf, as she’d never apply for herself. He mentions that she is more or less the Galvadon equivalent of an activist for women’s rights, founding a rugby unisex team and campaigning for pants instead of skirts for the local school uniform, as well as having a feminist sounding book as her favorite book. It’s heavily implied that she is a jock, as he lists that, if marooned on a desert island, Nicola would want to have a soccer ball, a hockey stick and a set of dumbbells (“and none of this 5-lb nonsense”) with her.
Upon asked why Nicola should go to the school, his answer is: “because there’s a greater place for her in the world, where she can learn a girl’s true worth, and I don’t think it’s here.”
Then you have a note from (*rolls eyes* *suppresses a gag* *tears hair out*) the very late, long, long gone, absolutely dead, August Sader, telling the Deans to accept her application, despite having no reason to do so, as Nicola was to “play a crucial role in it’s [the school’s] survival.” Dovey and Sophie agree to flip a coin to decide which school will take her, which Sophie must have lost, as Nicola is accepted into the School For Evil.
By now, I think we all agree that Nicola was done dirty. If you check my QFG re-read you’ll notice that I complained about her there. As I had to go though her introduction chapter again to make this post, let me tell you why: Nicola wasn’t written to be likeable.
She simply wasn’t. That’s the one conclusion I can draw. Whether that’s intentional or not, I can’t tell, but the backlash she received was fairly useful, as it meant Soman could write her off the main story without much backlash from his target audience (aka, not us, pesky pretentious older readers).
The Nicola I was introduced to, not only in the Handbook but on her trailer for QFG was not the girl on QFG.
Nic is there to be the smart  girl™, and while I do appreciate having a character who is a bit cocky about their brains, it just doesn’t work well there. Because her bond to other characters and the way she earns their respect feels so weak, she just comes across as pretentious. Characters like Hester and Agatha, who are supposed to be smart, feel dumbed down to show us how clever Nicola is. Agatha is supposed to be the resourceful thinker and Hester wanted to be class captain, you bet she studied like crazy, she probs knows every fairytale in existence.
Then you add that to the (*rolls eyes* *suppresses a gag* *tears hair out*) Nicola and Hort fiasco and Nic feels like a weirdly written OC insert.
Handbook!Nicola sounded like a smart jock kind of character (read, more Gryffindor than Ravenclaw). Handbook!Nic was a Reader who read the tales as a hobby, but her favorite book is not a tale, it’s a non-fiction book (as far as I can tell). She might not be the fairytale expert, but she sounds like a practical thinker, as sport requires strategy, which is not Hester’s strong suit, given she is rather impulsive, or Agatha’s, given she is often unwilling to make hard decisions due to her Good nature and her own insecurities. C’mon, Handbook!Nic would have taken one look at Hort and sent him running to hills, because she would be able to smell his bs three miles away. She’s no one’s replacement, least of all Sophie’s (whom she probably would not have gotten along with (at least they got this part right) given Sophie’s “my prince will sweep me away from an ordinary life” phylosophy). To be honest she doesn’t sound like she’d be interested in dating at all.
But this post is about Hunter right? Let me remind you, Hunter is not mentioned in Nicola’s introduction, when she talks about her life in Galvadon. Canon!Nicola tells us that she has two brothers who want to inherit her father’s pub in order to sell the place, but Nicola is close with her father and likes working there to some extent, even if she has bigger ambitions. She believes her brothers sent her application as a way to get rid of her.
Back when I still had some faith that Soman had an arc for Nicola that included resolution, I had my theories as to why she wouldn’t mention Hunter: maybe he was to appear in later books and they’d have a huge backstory explaining their friendship, as well as a dramatic confession that Hunter sent her application because he felt Nicola deserved to live an adventure, and Nicola would either realize that she was meant for something more or that she wanted to live a quiet life, honestly either would be nice. I would have taken anything. Truly, if Nicola’s k-pop boyfriend in the OTK epilogue had been replaced with Hunter, I might be able to hate it less.
Especially if they came to the (*rolls eyes* *suppresses a gag* *tears hair out*) school wedding as friends. Because you know what?
We are starved for male-female friendships in the SGE universe.
Tedros’s only female friends (all his friends in general) are Agatha’s friends (who all tried to get rid of him at some point, save for maybe Dot) and his actual friends are all dead (Bettina/Chaddick). Hort could be counted as Agatha’s friend, if only he didn’t bash her every five seconds like a moron (he literally pitched the idea that Agatha should be executed by Tedros in OTK, just because he was envious or her relationship with Sophie (not jealous, envious, because Sophie wasn’t his to begin with)) over his delusional sense entitlement of Sophie’s affections (which I hate, but as this is not a Hort-bashing post, I won’t get too much into), but the coven, Beatrix, Renna and co. would not touch him with a stick. Merlin’s friendship with Lady Of The Lake is gone, and Dovey is dead. Rhian and Kei both had that frenemies thing with Sophie in ACOT/beggining of OTK, but I think it was supposed to be romantic? It wasn’t ew (I hate Rhian but he’s also wasted potential, and so was Kei, whom I liked, rest in peace). Japeth hates women for??? Whatever. Willam and Bodgen are such background characters I could not care less about them. The new students weren’t memorable enough for me to remember their names. I think this about covers the main male cast.
There’s a lack of male friendships too, but we kinda have (*rolls eyes* *suppresses a gag* *tears hair out*) Tort and whatever was that rushed Tedros/Chaddick friendship.  Rhian and Kei were gay friends (yeah, right, sure, very platonic). Tedros and Rhian could have been friends if Rhian redeemed himself, but otherwise no. Tedros and Filip… gay. Japeth literally killed Rhian, so also not very good friendship between brothers. Hort has no friends, because Ravan would so not be here for his bs. Willam and Bogden are a couple and (*rolls eyes* *suppresses a gag* *tears hair out*) so were Aric and Japeth, I guess.
Still don’t believe Hunter was wasted potential? Okay, let me tell you what my ideal Nicola arc would be, mixing Handbook!Nicola with some canon!Nicola and including Hunter.
- Nicola is the one inheriting the pub (once she gets married), despite Galvadon’s pre-TLEA sexism and conservative views, because she is her father’s only child and her brothers are actually her older half-siblings from her mother’s previous marriage.
- Her mom died at some point early in her childhood. Not a childbirth tho, because Callis, local witch gynecologist (have you checked my post on this yet? no? you should) was there for her, even if it was a high risk pregnancy because the mom was already older.
- Because of that, Nicola’s father actually sells bread to Callis for cheaper prizes, but don’t tell the elders, shhh
- Anyway, because her mom was gone so early, Nicola was raised by her dad, brothers and by the employees (mostly men, as I don’t think it was all that common for women to work jobs in Galvadon) of her father’s pub. Due to being a girl, most guys weren’t willing to befriend her (sexism, am I right), but because she was a tomboy she had difficulty bonding with the other girls at school, even when they weren’t outright hostile (cof cof Sophie).
- Example: she and Belle had a tentative bond over their love of cooking, but often ran out of things to talk about and the conversation fell flat.
- Which is how she ends up befriending Hunter.
- Hunter is the only boy in a family of many girls and his father works all day. He has a good heart and is rather emotional, but he always feels like he has something to prove, which leads him to being rather impulsive. Both Nicola and Hunter love sports and are very competitive people. Once Nicola gains his respect, he feels very protective of her and often feels the need to stand up for her, even if she doesn’t need it.
- Nicola knows Hunter feels overlooked in his family, so she is always inviting him over and taking care of him, keeping him out of trouble. Her father begins to see him as his own son, and soon he spends more time at Nicola’s house than at his own.
- Everyone thinks they’ll get married some day. His sisters tease him mercilessly about it, and so does Nic’s father, but frankly, Nic and Hunter see each other as family.
- You can bet Hunter is the one teaching Nic about periods after asking his sisters, so she wouldn’t have to suffer with Galvadon’s horrid Sex Ed. (go check the Callis headcanon’s okay, give me clout, that it my favorite post I’ve ever made)
- They tried to kiss once. Nicola vomited and Hunter gaged.
- Hunter is Nicola’s number one supporter and fan, 100% had those gender-equality pins she made for her campaigns all over his bags and jackets.
- Since most wedding matches are arranged by the elders before girls even graduate, it was settled that Nic and Hunter would get married to each other and then inherit the pub. It would of course, be a secretly platonic match and they would suspiciously have no children (Nicola even had a plan to visit Callis to get a potion for infertility, just in case the elders wanted to check on her... okay, I’ll stop).
- Hunter doesn’t tell her, but Nicola knows he wants to marry for love and have a family of his own. She tries to talk him out of marrying her, but he insists that he would be doing it out of love for her, even if not romantic, because Nic didn’t deserve to be matched up with some stranger she barely knows who would no doubt be less tolerant of her more radical views.
- She tells him it’d be fine for him to have a affairs then, but he insists he would never do that to her, because people would talk about Nic if that was the case and her reputation would be ruined.
- The night of Sophie and Agatha kidnapping Nicola tells him she would rather be taken to the School than to stay there and make him live an unhappy life.
- Hunter is horrified (remember, everyone thought going to the school was a fate worse than death) and makes her promise to never treat her life so fickly.
- Sophie and Agatha get taken, come back, but during Tedros’ reign of terror in Galvadon, right before they return to the Woods, Nicola’s father grows very very sick.
- Nic thinks he’s going to die, and she frets, not only because they’re close but also because she can’t inherit the place if she doesn’t marry Hunter. But, well, she sort of always knew, but now that feels very real, she thought she had some more time before that.
- They set a date for the wedding, but thankfully, Tedros and Agatha’s escape ends up causing the ceremony to be delayed.
- By the time the new date is set, there’s no more elders and Stefan is now mayor.
- But just because he is the mayor doesn’t mean the law and the sexism is gone overnight.
- Nic’s father is getting somewhat better, but she is still very worried about him, because of his old age.
- Once SGE starts having applications and has been proved to be, well, somewhat safe, Hunter suggests that Nicola applies, but after the scare that she might lose her father sooner rather than later, she tells him she can’t bring herself to leave him.
- Hunter doesn’t want her to throw her life away, specially now knowing that in the Endless Woods there were people like her and that progress would get there before it ever got to Galvadon
- (He also wants to not marry someone he views as a sister, pls).
- So he files her application in secret.
- Nicola gets accepted, upon Sader’s request and Sophie’s bad luck, into the School For Evil. She and Sophie still don’t get along, the Evil castle rejects her and she gets pushed to Good, becoming an Ever, but she’s only staying until Christmas, because she is worried sick about her father.
- She thinks the application was a plot from her brothers because she doesnt think Hunter would ever betray her trust like that, after she specifically told him she wouldn't go.
- There’s no Hicola, instead, she and Hort become friends and she talks him out of his delusions with Sophie, because as much as Nicola dislikes her, Sophie was a girl too, and deserved to have her feelings respected.
- She also punches Hort into giving up his envy of Tedros and Agatha while at it, because she is just that efficient.
- Everything else up to OTK can be pretty much the same because I can’t remember what happens, other than everytime Nicola is smart girl™, it’s not “because she reads”, but because she is practical.
- Example: on the boat scene where she very pretentiously sasses Agatha for not saying hello to her (canon!Nicola, girl, she just suffered six months of loneliness at Camelot because Tedros shut her out and is now on a quest to save her happy ending, probs didn’t get much sleep, maybe cut her some slack) and then tells her how to sail a boat (despite the fact that there are no boats in Galvadon and I’m sure you can’t just read Peter Pan and learn to sail a boat, unless I did it wrong or something, maybe the storian version comes with a crash course). Here, instead, Nicola presses Hort (who is a pirate’s son) to remember literally anything to help them (therefore making him not completely useless on this quest), and he does and they tell Agatha and she’s like sure and does it.
- Now, in OTK, I literally can’t remember where Nicola was for most of it and I read that book not too long ago, so I’m worried.
- Okay, so, have the Knights Of Eleven actually serve some purpose, include a scene where Tedros and Nicola stress-play rugby and get her some internal conflict.
- Nic now loves this world. She just spent the last few weeks fighting to protect it. She is now a Knight, and she loves the adventures and the new friends she made. Can she really go back to Gavaldon to take care of a pub? Well, she needs to, doesn’t she? That’s what a good daughter would do.
- After Japeth’s execution, Nic goes straight home.
- Her father’s condition is stable, as he is being treated by Hunter and his new wife.
- Oh boy, Hunter has some explaining to do.
- Nicola is furious that he broke her trust, but at the same time, she’s happy he’s happy and well, Hunter what do you have to say for yourself?
- “Damn, Nic, nice armour- ouch, my arm!”
- Apparently, since Nicola was taken, Stefan approved a law for people to be able to leave their inheritance to whomever they wanted. And since Nic was gonna be at the Woods, her father was more than happy to leave it to Hunter. Of course, unless Nicola wanted to stay at Gavaldon.
- Does she? She’s not sure.
- Hunter and Nicola attend the tagatha wedding at Camelot (what, like I wasn’t gonna fix this part?), Hunter is Nic’s plus one.
- There, Hester, Anadil and Dot show her Sader’s note, and ask her, not to become School Master, but to become Dean Of Good, because she would be perfect for the new brand of Good to match Sophie’s Evil. You know, since she is all for gender-equality, good manners, practicality and was particularly good at dealing with Sophie’s bs.
- Since Tedros has the Storian Ring, the pen doesn’t need actual protection, well, not more than it can get from Nic and Sophie.
- Sophie herself insists that Nicola accept the position, not because she doesn’t want to be alone at the school now that Hort and Dovey are dead, no, of course not, since when did Sophie ever need anyone, she was just asking cause… cause Nicola looked lonely. The pretty boy who came with her was not her boyfriend, was he? Sophie was prettier than him anyway. Who needs a boy when they can have her?
- Whether they become a couple or not, I’ll let you decide.
- Bonus: years later, Hunter’s eldest daughter is accepted at the School for Good. Nicola is her godmother, and her favoritism shows.
There, if nothing else, the reason you should be mad about Hunter and the Handbook in general is because this didn’t happen.

Do your muses connect? if yes, how?
Some do. Hold on I gotta pull the list up cause there’s so many now...
most muses tie into @dreamofrosegardens
Okay so, Skylar, Lizzie, and Abby are all in a coven together. They did a spell go to wonderland but ended up in different versions of wonderland, and are inserted into other verses.
Victoria, Jezebel, and Kaori (cannonly) actually don’t connect to anyone except in AU.
Sally is a stand-alone oc insert into Syfy Alice. She’s the only one who is exclusive to Hollow’s hatter
Lance and Bash are brothers and are OCs but I didn’t create them, Hollow did. Cynthia is in that verse and my own muse in Hollow’s verse.
And the big one...the whole reason for the profile, Ava, Beija and Melody all connect in the same verse and are heavily intertwined with Hollow’s muses.

Saudade Masterlist
Part 2
-------------
Before the damage is done. This isn't what I really want.
-------------
"I never wanted this. I never wanted to lose them. Si--Mason. Sam."
Goddammit, Sam. Why'd you do it? Why did you side with them? Why'd you let them kill me?
No, you're not dead. You're still breathing, you don't know why or how, but you're still alive.
Isaac strained to lift his head, every muscle in his body screamed for him to remain motionless. He'd fallen for what felt like an eternity, the chasm boundless, mist swallowing him up before his back hit sharp rock.
He'd thought he'd snapped his neck, bashed the base of his skull on the stone beneath him. He waited, his breath fogging over the T-formation of his visor. One beat. Two. An agonizing third before he mustered the strength to roll onto his side.
His body protested, tendons shifting, bones cracking, grinding pitifully against cartilage. He pushed himself to a seated position, prying the helmet from his head, discarding it the moment it cleared his forehead.
"Why am I not dead?" His voice was little more than a hoarse whisper, raspy from the scream he'd released during his descent. His trembling fingers hovered over the panel on his wrist, hand shaking too violently to properly activate the band. His fingers curled into a fist, squeezing the muscles into a calm submission before he attempted to activate the screen.
"Armor lock is intact, thank you, sketchy black market dealer." he murmured, checking the other systems in his armor. The explosions in the distance tore his attention from his work, "What now?!"
He was on his feet, snatching his helmet up from the bedrock and sliding it over his head. He stumbled over uneven ground towards the base of the chasm he'd fallen into, spurring his aching frame into a slow climb. By the time he'd reached the upper levels, he could see the carnage in the distance.
Bodies everywhere, mercenary and New Republic soldiers alike lay scattered across the battlefield.
Dead. All dead. Only survivor, all alone. No. No, not alone--Sam's alive, Sam's okay. Find--
Isaac snapped his head to the left, the instinct fading just as quickly as it appeared. He cast a wary glance skyward, to the Communication Temple, a wry smirk tugging at the corner of his lips as Hargrove's ship stared down the structure. His attention was drawn back to the battlefield, the survivors, the simulation troopers, the Freelancers, the traitor--they'd all be gone in a matter of hours.
You never should have betrayed me, Locus. Now, you pay the price.
His eyes caught sight of an abandoned Ghost to his right, just beyond the mounds of fallen soldiers. He could hear the explosions in the distance as he scrambled from his cover, stumbling over craters and corpses until he fell against the cold metal of the machine.
Limbs struggled to support him as he heaved himself onto the seat. The adrenaline had begun to wear off, jarred muscles began to tremble, the impact of the fall weighing heavily on his chest, the searing pain in his ribs reminding him of the damage done.
He hugged a forearm to his chest, bracing the aching bones in the only realistic means possible.
A Ghost required two hands to drive, but he'd improvised before, during the war. He could almost see the memory play out in front of him, Sam assassinating the Elite in charge of guarding the vehicles, the two clamoring onto vehicles to escape the bomb they'd planted in the heart of the Covenant's base.
They made it, the two of them had escaped the explosion, certain death, but now--now he'd survive. Alone. He'd walk away and Sam--Sam would pay for his betrayal, he would pay the ultimate price.
They were brothers after all, they'd known one another for a few years before they'd enlisted, when they were nothing more than kids trapped on a backwater planet, orphans left to the mercy of the universe.
At one point, he had Liz, in their broken excuse for a home, he'd always had his twin sister. Until he didn't, until he lost her to one abusive parent on a planet light years away, until he was dragged from her after the divorce, until he was certain he'd never see her again.
Then he met Sam and he was positive that he would always have Sam, and now, he'd lost his brother. Now he's alone. Again. And he has no idea what he's going to do now.
No fucking idea.
-----------------
It's months later when he's downing another beer that he notices the headlines.
Reds and Blues Strike Again
He scoffs, turning his attention back to the beer and data pad in front of him. He'd come so close, so damn close to tracking Sam down. They'd all survived Chorus, Hargrove had failed. Shocker.
"If you want something done right," he murmured, scowling at the file in front of him, reaching absently for the bottle. His fingers curled around the cold glass, sliding the beverage towards him, inches from his lips before spasming tendons released, sending the bottle crashing to the floor, contents spilling over Isaac.
"Shit." He slammed his trembling fist onto the table, disgust etched into his features as he pushed away from shattered glass and stood, knocking his chair to the floor with a loud thud.
The thunderous collision with the wooden floor scared him more than it should, a distant echo of a war once fought.
He was poised for a retreat, as if the explosion hadn't shredded everything in its path, as if he were still a soldier in the midst of a bloody conflict.
He waited. One moment. A second. A terrifying third before his eyes fell to the wooden chair beside him.
"War's over." He reminded himself, touching his temple gingerly, memories misting away with a shake of his head until it's quiet, until there's nothing but the monologue of the television filling the empty room.
Isaac gathered himself, pushing brown locks  back off of his forehead, wiping beads of sweat from his brow. He snatched the data pad from the table, ignoring the shattered glass and pooling beer on the floor as he made his way to the worn couch, collapsing into the safe haven and turning his attention back to the data pad.
His hands trembled slightly, nerves on edge as the surge of adrenaline dwindled, as his heart gradually slowed and his breathing returned to some semblance of normal. He laid a hand over a tight muscle in his ribs, gently massaging the tissue into a state of release.
He cursed the nearly healed rib, the soreness it caused anytime his heart rate picked up, a relentless knot in his side until he forced it into submission.
His fingers absently dug into marred tissue, gaze locked on the streaming data before him, skimming for indications of his former partner. It wasn't like Sam to lay low, Isaac had discovered that tendency after knowing him for less than 2 minutes.
His gaze was torn away from data pad, catching the phrase "Chorus" from the news on the far wall. He hauled himself to a seated position, snatching the remote from the worn table in front of him, cranking the volume.
Reports continue to pour in regarding the stalemate between the UNSC and Chorus. The planet has been ravaged by a civil war spanning over three decades, until it was brought to an abrupt conclusion a little less than a year ago. Since the war's conclusion, Chorus has been the center of interplanetary conflict, stubbornly defying the wishes of the UNSC to rejoin Earth and her colonies, opting, instead, to remain independent.
Peace talks have come to a halt after a series of terrorist attacks by a group of simulation troopers, the Reds and Blues of Project Freelancer. The UNSC suspects Chorus employed these soldiers to protect the planet.
Current President, Vanessa Kimball, has denied all allegations of association with the Reds and Blues, claiming, "Chorus has not contributed to these attacks in any way, and will offer full cooperation until these terrorists are apprehended. At which point, I hope the peace talks can continue."
Back to you--
Felix paused the screen, staring quietly at the frozen frame of Kimball, the throbbing in his ribs long forgotten. He settled against the tattered leather of the sofa, brown eyes studying the President of Chorus. The war, surprisingly, had been a simpler time. He'd had Sam, hell, he'd even had Vanessa, a woman of incredible strength.
The corner of his mouth turned upward in a gentle smile, recalling their attempts at a relationship. The late night talks--most of which related to strategizing, although, he had managed to redirect her attention to other topics. The smile broadened at the rarely reciprocated flirtations. Granted, he'd been playing the role of trusted mercenary, but--something about what they had hadn't been a deception. Sure, he'd had to lie to her, but, there were times he told the truth, specifically about how he felt.
She never responded, word of those Red and Blue morons had reached her. Then--then everything went downhill from there.
Isaac heaved a frustrated sigh, snatching the remote up and shutting off the television. He tossed the data pad onto the table, there would be time enough to find Sam tomorrow.
He'd been off the radar for months, which made it borderline impossible to find him. Isaac knew him, they'd spent years together, both during the war and later as partners.
Sam would slip up. He always did, sooner than later. ----------------

A coven of deranged witches passing through Beacon Hills quite literally stumble upon the Nemeton and come up with a totally clever idea. The McCall-Hale Pack never got around to figuring out what the idea was before they accidentally messed up the coven's confusing array of spells and get sucked into a rather chaotic portal. But it turns out, the portal not only tugged at the pack members present, but also dragged along the rest of the pack not present through the pack's bonds (however thin and wavering a few of them are).
They end up in a world not all too different from theirs at first glance. Beacon Hills looks relatively the same. The Nemeton is still there, and nothing seems to be amiss in the Preserve, that is until they decide to return to a burnt Hale home but instead find a thriving Hale home.
It all seems to be too good to be true, like a perfect world, when suddenly they discover that no, they should know better, because life seems to really hate them all enough to make it clear that they merely switched one fucked up universe for another -- and as far as they can see, there's no way home.
They're stuck in this strange new world and have no idea how they're going to survive.
