Rook Appreciation Week Day 2: de Riva

So I decided I was gonna give myself a personal theme for @rookappreciationweek : Hangouts with Sabi! I wanted to highlight a Rook from the day’s faction and something they’d do when spending time with my own beloved Sabriel Ingellvar.

So today’s guest of honor is…. @antivan-sprig’s Liselath de Riva!

Does your monkey wrench oc have a name? and when they talk does the spacesuit muffle their voice or is it clear?

Oh their ‘name’ is something that was made up for them by others like The Drifter or Wayfarer.

Nobody knows their real name because they never speak. (They’re afraid that a translator will register their language as Terran and their cover will be blown)

They can usually communicate well enough with hand gestures and body language. The only sounds anyone has ever heard out of them are strange, muffled keens that coincide with the hitching of their chest. Nobody can agree on what the sounds are. But it’s a toss-up between laughing and crying.

They have a habit of showing up at all manner of space stations in a ship that looks like it was cobbled together with glue and a prayer, and they trade favours or odd knick-knacks for old Terran junk and tools, and on occasion, seeds, for some reason.

Everyone is usually so busy making fun of the ship, they don’t notice the little pilot scurrying to and from it.

They try their best to keep a low profile, but if it looks like someone needs a hand, they can’t seem to resist trying to help out.

It’s how they got tangled up with Beebs and Shrike.

How do you think Lanydae's reaction would be when she met her son's partner?

Would she be surprised because he's a Walrinian?

Lany is very open-minded but the reputation of Walrinians doesn't prevent from making her a little nervous, but it wouldn't take long for her to see how sweet Beebs is

Made designs for Beeb’s potential mother & father. Chose Ursa for his mom like the constellation and Barrick for his dad as Beebs said he comes from the House of Barrick(sounds like that name) If ur wondering about the rings that’s their wedding bands on their tusks!

I imagine he takes a lot after his mother character wise and his looks more from his dad. He did tho get her pretty blue eyes💙….I imagine she could’ve been a victim of the Terrans.

The OC x Canon ship is not just "ohhh I love you Viri", it's from enemies to friends to eventually lovers.

Bro was in for a ride, he didn't want to crush on someone like them, yet here he is. CRUSHING ON THEM. AND HE IS A BIG BLUSHING MESS.

Beebs knew it from the moment this guy was making really random noises (vocal stimming) while trying to keep himself calm and not be angry at himself for falling for Viri lol
