ok this is fucking personal let me just. explain my personal take on beer yuri rq

so.

Chujin passes. Ceroba begins going to the saloon more consistently. I think she went before Chujin passed, but after was when it started being a problem. Once Kanako passes, Ceroba's visits to the saloon are nearly daily, if not more than. 9 times out of 10, the reason she leaves before closing is because Starlo's there to drag her into something. She genuinely feels like she has borderline nothing outside of drowning her sorrows in alcohol. Dina doesn't exactly.. like it? But at first, it's good business, and at the same time, she doesn't.. know what else to do. She's trying to help, in her own way. I think Ceroba probably wasn't big on talking at first, for a VARIETY of reasons, but Dina always tried, little by little. And then, one day, a probably hammered Ceroba starts actually talking, they have an actual conversation, and Dina gets attached. At that point, she stops really.. caring, about Ceroba coming in so often? Or moreso, she stops worrying as much. Because she enjoys the company of her favorite customer. And I could totally see Dina saying she doesn't play favorites, all while Some Mother of No Return over there is sipping on her third on the house drink of the night. And eventually, I think Ceroba starts talking sober. And eventually, she's coming to the saloon less for the drinks, and more for the company. And honestly, that all works perfectly well platonically. But I appreciate that it can spin into something romantic if you're COOL and like romantic Beer Yuri sometimes. Because honestly, Dina seems like the kind of person to, eventually, not hold back on bringing up Chujin's faults. The feller was nice, she'd never deny that, and she'd never deny that he DID monsterkind a lotta good, and that he seemed a kind soul, but given the fact that he didn't like the town and the town didn't like him anyway, I think once she feels like she wouldn't be risking singlehandedly ensuring Ceroba never comes back again (which honestly, would probably be by the time Ceroba has her wakeup call in Pacifist, or sometime around when that would happen, in like, a Neutral run that got to keep going.), she'd definitely talk about it. That the man wasn't perfect, that Ceroba shouldn't be stuck so heavily to him. That she should let herself move on someday.

My experience with this fandom is very positive like honestly compared to others I’ve been in, there’s little bigotry (not saying there’s none but I’m used to other fandoms being definitely worse) and to me it feels welcoming and nice. But something that really made me go woahhh lots of people have unchecked bias here was the whole conversation about Phoenix’s potential alcoholism. Bc Jesus Christ some of you really aren’t normal about alcoholics.
