I also like how Yuugi does not go ahead and give advice on how to balance the boy's deck. He gives him a card that can help and lets him figure it out how to incorporate it into his strategy and deck.

a fun fact about dol's code is that all characters are generated with hair and eye color in every save, even if there's no indication of it in the actual game. for example, whitney only has canon hair color, however the game still generates eye color for them, most probably for the children they will be able to have (or are already able with incomplete pregnancy) with pc. it is just a random color and is not consistent in every save (thus that means not canon), so here are two different whitneys' in different saves

hair color is always the same, eye color is not. the games does this for ALL npcs, even if you're not able to fuck and/or have kids with them, such as the teachers or bailey.

to continue with the post, this is how sydney naturally looks at the start of the game (if you make them dye their hair, it will say "hairColour": "black" instead)

however, sirris, while being their parent, doesn't necessarily generates with any of these colors in their code. they can, but is not a 100%. in one of my saves she has pink eyes and platinum blond hair, while in another one he has lime green eyes and light brown hair.

while i'm pretty sure this is just because we will never be able to have kids with them and thus consistency doesn't matter, my headcanon due to this is that sydney just look a lot more like their other parent, instead of sirris. y'know, their dead/missing parent to whom whatever happened to them was so traumatic and bad sirris lost their faith and left the temple and it sent sydney to the asylum. just for the angst of it.

I'm sooooo sick of language learners pitting comprehensible input (usually CI Lessons specifically) against traditional classes with explicit explanations and translation.

It all works! Whatever you want to use, whatever combination of stuff! Whatever! If you understand, with the help of textbooks or flashcards or trnalsation apps or a teacher COOL. If you understand something directly from context like visuals or the surrounding words COOL. We did both in our native languages! Of course it's fine to do both in new languages!

Anyway... may you all have better luck online than me and see chiller people.

I love love how Brennan chose to characterize porter where like. He's such an asshole. Such a fucking asshole of a guy and it really sucks to talk to him. And fig hates him so much just as she should. But despite that you can't discount him as some dope know-nothing cause he's got some INCREDIBLE wisdom and (for fig, not really for gorgug) is just a really good teacher. That really horrible experience of showing up to class with a burning hatred for the teacher for being here at all and then leaving knowing that you have just learned some incredibly valuable skills.

Are there any fictional characters you think you resemble, either in appearance or in personality?

Interesting question, I do enjoy stuff like this. Hmm. I don't... really think so? At least not that I've come across. I would like for some characters to look or have a similar personality, it would be neat! I think the most I could think about, but it's really only one thing, is Warren Godby (Red Valley podcast) and Lloyd Allen (Shaperaverse) in terms of their anger issues and how they deal. Other than that? Especially personality and how my autism shapes it, it's. Rough? It's something.

I feel like unless I headcanoned a character (since I primarily listen to audio drama and most of those, characters don't really have canon looks) to have similar features to myself, none of them would really have my body type/appearance. But that's more a thing of the lack of fat people in media, even trying to find real people who have similar body types to myself is hard
