i know i'm not the only person obsessed with giving aventurine a baby but i feel like i'm the only one Not doing it for sex reasons. i genuinely just think he would want kids and having a family of his own to raise and love would make him really, really happy. not that he's currently in the position or mindset for that, but. once he's a little more stable and ready to let himself Want Things again, well 😏 heh. *shoves a baby into his arms*
#don't care much about the How i just want him to have .baby#maybe his interactions with his child self are not the best gauge for how he is with kids in general because well that was himself#but i don't care i'm taking it as an indicator that he is good with kids. maybe just a little awkward and unsure at first#and he's just So family oriented#the scraps he has left of his family are the things he cherishes most in the whole universe.#you can't tell me having kids isn't something that's crossed his mind more than a few times... it's just before penacony it was like#he was not capable of letting himself want things like that. no attachments no weaknesses no happiness#but after penacony as he starts learning to heal and enjoy living life again. well!!!!!!!!!!!#i think he's equally likely to end up with a biological kiddo and adopting. so like both. he can do both#i like the bio kid concept because then he can have a baby girl that he names after his sister. :')#and adoption is just a fun endless world of possibilities. i was thinking about him with a little foxian baby a while back#for no reason other than the fact that i like foxians#anyway.this is also partially how i'm dealing with my perpetual baby fever#if i can't have a baby my emotional support blonde man gets one.

Okay so basically the United States MINT of all people is going to be working with DC to make a line of coins! These coins sadly won't be in circulation (the things I would do to live in a world where I could get Batman coins from the supermarket) as they're collectors coins, but will be releasing over the course of the next 3 years, 2025-2027.
Designs haven't been released yet (the same is true for all 2025 designs) but we know there will be 9 coins in total (3 each year) with the first year featuring (of course!!!) Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman.
Although we know the first three heroes to be featured, the remaining six have yet to be decided, and it turns out the Mint is putting out a survey on their site to gauge which of a group of culturally significant heroes people want to see most! (link to the form is mentioned in the article above)
The considered group includes: Supergirl, the Flash, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Captain Marvel, John Stewart GL, Aquaman, Hawkman, Jamie Reyes BB, Robin (Damian?), Cyborg, and Batgirl, of which 6 will be selected.
As someone who does a bit of coin collecting myself (mainly circulation coins like the quarters sets, but I also have a couple proof and collectors coins) I think this is a really cool and interesting idea that showcases the history of the comics medium and these characters and their influence on American culture. Really excited to wait and see what the designs look like for the coins already announced!
#ABSOLUTELY INSANE TO ME#sorry just. only thing that could make this crazier is if these were circulating. i would fucking die actually lmao#i mean you could buy something with one of these legally but like youre an idiot if you do that so likeeee#someone showing up with the solid gold superman collector coin and its only legally worth a dollar lmao#not that someone would do this but future generations/archeologists finding a coin in some ruins and it just has like. batman on it#amazing to me#also just the transition from us currency having all fake people (lady liberty some random native american guy etc.) and then going to real#people and presidents then expanding that to honor people that they believe should be honored (think the harriet tubman coin set right now)#and representing beauty and innovation and culture through representation of the states#only through that lens to swing back around and have fake people on the coins again in the form of the freaking dc trinity. insane to me#no one ever gets me when im nerding out over coins its okay. at least its not postage stamps (i actually do have some special postage stamps#its like 1 sheet though it was for the 2017 eclipse and the image changes from totality to the moon with the heat of your finger theyre so#cool okay) anyways i like dont really know that much abt coins lol i originally saw a post abt this on reddit 💀 lol and had to check this#was real which is insane. anyways my dad got my all my coin stuff ive got a proof set from the year i was born albums to hold the 50 states#and national parks (america the beautiful but its 90% natl park designs lets be honest here) quarter collections as i find them irl#(dont have an album for us women yet sadly but do have some of the coins) as well as a few dimes and other circulation albums i havent used#much. and then i have a few collectibles like the hubble telescope $1 coin the 50th anniversary apollo 11 one and the 2021 anniversary peace#dollar. though like not the gold ones or anything like that lol but yeah. i talk abt coins every once and a while with friends and i know#things but then my dad is in the car and its like nevermind lol.#also put a ? after damian's name bc theres a chance it could be dick and they just used the wrong picture. because some of the character#bios had names but his didnt and seemed very dick grayson (acrobatics mention “batman's partner” etc) but not so specfic exclude either one#and the pick was damian. but then the ollie pick was goateeless for some reason so who knows#culturally dick is more important but dami is current so idk#dc comics#blah#ive really been learning so much today. first all in announcement and subsequent leaks and now this. what a ride#also love how im anticipating and know future comics things lol. when did that happen haha. ive really transitioned from only reading back#issues and never knowing current events to following a lot of releases lol and somehow finding out about the freaking coin collection...#crazy how that happens#cant scroll up at that first image without losing it a bit still actually. what a world we live in. anyways take your bets who is gonna be

Also, I've finished Medicine Walk
#SO SO GOOD#there is definitely some dark content in there but it doesn't get TOO graphic#really well-written and compelling story and characters#holy shit man#having big Thoughts and Feelings about the main character#I recommend it#it's about a teenage boy who was raised by his guardian#going to deliver his bio father to his final resting place and learning more about his dad's history along the way

...damnit. Why did I end up getting attached to Citrus? Lhclhfo
#will say. the anime is way more non con and uncomfortable than the manga#i do appreciate that these disaster lesbians later find solace and stability. but you dont get to see a lot of that in the anime as#they only start dating at the end of the anime. aka manga chapter 16. the manga continues for 41 chaperts iirc.#and then there's also citrus+. the step sisters thing did also throw me off at first#however they only met at the start of the series when yuzu transfers into the all girl aihara academy#and they only learned they had become step siblings when they both come home to their mom#and she reveals that she (yuzus bio mom) married Mei's bio dad#seriously though. the anime went overboard and extended some of the assault sequences as fan service and just yikes.#they were there in the manga to a lesser extent. for instance the first kiss lasted like 3 panels and a two page spread.#while in the anime it was like 40ish seconds (i went and checked the timecode after reading the original chapter to compare)#oh well#at least it wasnt the first yuri media i encountered? still not entirely sure why ive officially gained citrus brainrot for a week now tho#citrus#meiyuzu#saburouta#if you do plan to check out the series. read the manga unless you're comfortable with 'assault as fan service'#...i will admit to kicking my feet. squeeing. and squeezing a pillow like a schoolgirl reading some of it tho hkrkbfhkd

I need a coherent timeline for sunless skies/nemesis spare au because I keep writing fics for it. I need to find out how many mental breakdowns Idris had before they lost their daughter again. Like how many times can you scare the snot out of a six year old before she decides she's better off risking it staying with some other adult she has almost no reason to trust but is at least not you?
So far it seems that Idris went to the Royal Beth twice before they finally received a response from their ex-wife re: taking the kid back to the Surface. They have so many layers of trauma, they just don't think they can handle it and they know their daughter doesn't want to be around them.

Going back to replay IW for lore purposes is always an experience because each time I pick up something new 😭
#I’m trying to get more Barracuda lore before wrapping up writing Leo’s lore#I do wanna make him a model too actually but.. I don’t know if all of the assest will fit😭#I will say and I think about it often I LOVE the diversity in IW#it’s refreshing seeing not only black people but also latinx as well#it’s refreshing seeing not only black people but also latinx as well which I’m happy to see😭#of course it’s a big improvement… I think about that girl from Y3 all the time… my jaw still drops thinking about it#but also with Leo I want to really dive into his character especially with him being afro latino indivisual with struggles much like Enya#I want to make them polar opposites as siblings like Enya being more vulnerable and bubbly and Leo being closed off and guarded#also there will be ties to him having issues with the Liumang.. which I will get into later🌚#Zhao and Enya will actually have some relationship issues this time around(kinda) but it’ll make sense once I type it up#Enya’s lore isn’t going to be just tied to Zhao this time around but more so about Enya learning more about her bio parents and identity#Leo will be the bridge that fills the gaps :’)#I noticed way before I finished IW and drafted out her lore she REALLY mirrors Ichiban by accident😭#instead rather than Ebina and Ichi not interacting Leo and Enya will#also going to flesh out and image of both her bio parents :’)#there will be lots of lore for Leo and Enya’s mom:’)

#sometimes u just gotta have a cringe fail weekend. is what i tell myself bc i let the fact that i forgot to check my new#email completely obliterate me. also i haven't been sleeping enough. also just the normal thoughts in my head#by which i mean the part of my brain that demands consequences for inattention by means of suffering. devine punishment.#which is irrational and annoying but knowing that doesnt seem to help. so ive just been laying here in the hopes i come unspooled and start#to disintegrate. which is annoying bc ive got stuff to do#specifically bc i am supposed to b a TA this semester. which is what i figured but also feared#so. thats gonna b a lot. tho not as much as my old school bc they dont make TAs do literally everything here apparently#but. itll b a lot. and also i have to finish signing up for classes. bc i didnt do that back in April by my brain was melting. also i have#to keep doing my job and dealing with my data. ugh. well. being a TA isnt so bad. i do like to help ppl learn even if im not very good at it#like. i struggle with thr talking to ppl part. like the transition of ny thoughts to something thst makes sense#oh well. hope i end up teaching something im not too unqualified for. i could do soils. this has been such a week i deserve a reward
#constance speaks#but first. i have to do 3 classes + at least 2 rehearsals tomorrow#as well as learn everything and take my last bio exam before the final (should be fine. just takes a while)#and um hopefully go to a concert in the evening. but that depends on where im at for the exam i need to take.#oh and i need to respond to an email i got yesterday. oops.#didnt even factor in practicing but lbr. i'll just bring my bass back to my apartment. we'll just do it over the weekend.
