I wasn't expecting my isopods to be so comically territorial over mealworm chunks. They usually just ignore each other. (Sorry for the focus going in and out - I got a new camera and have no idea what I'm doing.)

How do I explain to my gecko she needs to stop eating the bugs in her bioactive because she is getting overweight

That's the most difficult part of bioactives with lizards/geckos for sure ;.; Genuinely, double up on leaf litter if you can, get some extra cork bark pieces and set them flat down in the dirt, and just provide as much hiding space for the isopods as possible. Hopefully that will slow down her snacking 😂 Tip Jar

Rubber Ducky Isopod sketch.

The ‘rubber ducky’ isopod is a miniature pet with a duck bill face. I see it more as a Darth Vader helmet , haha. These cute little guys are really awesome!

If they ever breed them in jet black, they can call them Vader Duckies! 😅

The springtail cultures in my terrariums are so interesting to watch because in one terrarium you can see a wholesome example of the springtail community working together to break down a dead leaf and you get to see the decomposition cycle and how terrariums sustain themselves and then in another terrarium you're watching a cage fight that started exactly like the "she's touching me" argument in Lilo and Stitch with the whole neighbourhood stood in a circle to watch shit go down like where is the middle ground here
