BrioEngingeer!Brion
So... I was rewatching the first few episodes of Outsiders and one thing that is annoying me an unreasonable amount is the fact that no one really talks about what Brion was doing after Tara was captured and he wasn’t in Markovia. He said he went to school to educate himself and help his country, but also came back hopped up on the notion of becoming Markovian Captain America. So I offer you, Bioengineering major Brion. Because if you tell me that Brion “go big or go home” Markov wasn’t prepared to do it alone if Jace wasn’t willing to help active his meta gene and hankshaw redemption himself some super powers, I will flat out call you an idiot. Some random thought I now can’t get our of my head.
Brion was suppose to attend some academy in Markovia in Political science or foreign relations or something like that, but his parents were so distracted trying to find Tara they didn’t really notice he applied and got into some out of country university until he started packing his bags.
Walked into to a lecture five minutes before it started, recorded it instead of took notes, and passed out halfway though because he stayed up all night playing with different formulas.
Talked so much with his professors after class they would have to practically beat him back with a stick because he never stopped asking questions that were more than a little concerning, but they weren’t about to contact the family to make sure he was stable, because how to the hell do you even call a King and Queen.
No one really believed that he was a prince because Brion collectedly forgot what a haircut, shower, and deodorant were, but he also had the best grades in the whole department so no one questioned his methods.
Back to the no showing thing, his lab partner finally bought a can of dry shampoo one day and used the entire bottle on him in one class period.
Wrote everything thing done, like everything, but also never brought a journal with him so by the end of the week his arms where covered in formulas and ideas that he had at random times of the day.
Took summer semester courses and never slept so at 17, after his second year, had almost all of his credit to graduate.
Voted most likely to turn into a classic evil scientist if given the right incentive.
Showed up to class with three Venti triple shot something (I don’t drink coffee but I think that’s a lot of caffeine) and drank them all before the period was half way over.
Passed out in class once form sleep deprivation and no one was surprised
He has a single dorm, because of course he does, and everyone is scared to go in it because the walls are covered floor to ceiling with notes and it looks like a scientific murder board.
Everyone started joking that his eyes bags where designer^tm until they remembered he was the son of one of the most wealthiest families in all of Europe and shut up.
There’s a small white board outside of each lab where he has to write tally marks for the amount of times he used them per day because the professors gave him a limit after he accidentally stayed working on an experiment for 24 hours straight.
No one on the Team know that he is really smart ,accept the adults, and are surprised, and a little scared, when he starts a conversation with Ed’s dad one day and accutally understand the Dr.
Knows how to make deadly gas out of things under the kitchen sink, causally mentioned this fact when the others are picking on him one day, and everyone freezes and takes note to not piss him off too much.
Helps Virgil with his homework, Jamie too, but not as often.
Dick gets him into Gotham University via his Wayne connections to continue his degree, but one the conditions of taking care of himself and promising not to go evil scientist on them.
Since Brion had to study the Numenburge trials as his Bio introduction, he will sometimes refer to Helga as “The walking talking Numenburge violation” if she hits the right nerve and everyone doesn’t know wether to laugh or run awkwardly away because he isn’t wrong.
That more than I intended writing, but I hope you all enjoy!
