As evident from Blockchain's feature, Blockchain DNS is a decentralized platform; a single authority does not own it as in the case of a conventional DNS system, which has ICANN as governing authority. DNS lookup tables are shared in a peer-to-peer network and use Blockchain.  

There are several reasons that decentralized DNS offers several benefits like it is decentralized, it is free from any attack, and also, it is easily accessible. It prevents DNS spoofing, wherein the attacker can corrupt the data on the DNS. However, Blockchain DNS offers several advantages over the conventional DNS. But, again, it is better than the conventional Blockchain system.
