This blog will have a lot of lore dumping, including Dyo answering questions I give him. These bits of lore may not be canon to actual Pokemon lore. I will be making up a lot of stuff for Darkrai as a species and how my version of the Pokemon world works. I am not saying any of my ideas are canon or "better" or whatever, I'm just having fun! So don't take any of it as fact.

Who am I ?

Heyo, I'm ykrui73 ! I'm also known here as @sanzaibian, a blog on which I publish TF stories, don't hesitate to check it out ^^

Somehow, this blog gathered attention, so I'll make a small presentation.

I'm a French guy in his early twenties, a bit gender-weird (sorting it out one step after the other), but hopefully friendly enough to discuss with!

The TF community has been my introduction to my sexuality, which lead me in early-mid 2024, at a time where there were few new stories, to use my experience in writing to give back to the community!

Other than that, I'm studying Linguistics, so I know quite a bit about languages ! I'm also obsessed with Chinese culture (I'm also learning Mandarin Chinese, 但學中文難的很啦!), I do a lot of worldbuilding (and conlanging), and have played the violin for quite a long time ^^

One of the reasons I decided to start writing was also to start getting to know others in the LGBT community, so don't hesitate to talk to me ! I may sometimes be oblivious to social cues, but I promise I don't bite ^^'

This is my interpretation of the character, if you do not like it I would advise you to look somewhere else or make your own interpretation. Hate either towards me or those I interact with will not be tolerated at all.

PERSONALITY

Reckless, loud mouthed and abrasive are the best ways to describe cheryl. Cheryl hides her lonely nature and inability to grow close to people under layers of snark and bluntness making her one of the harder to approach survivors. Despite this she does attempt to seek any form of companionship however many are put off by her aggression that has only grown worse with her time in the fog. 

Her approach to issues is very blunt and on a surface level uncaring almost. Its less cheryl being heartless even though many perceive it as that and more her getting directly to the point of the issue. She doesn’t like dancing around issues or being forced to wait, she wants the issue dealt with immediately before it grows. Cheryl is the type to speak her mind without thinking about the possible ramifications of her words until the consequences literally hit her in the face. Harsh wording is common with her and the quicker it’s understood that Cheryl’s words arent ill intentioned the quicker trust can be earned. Stubborness is also a quality many who have grown close to her understand her to be. She wants her way of dealing with an issue and her line of logic to be understood and will be impossible to convince if she’s wrong. It’s her way and her way only.

Once trust is earned Cheryl will become loyal to the other person and grow notably softer in her approach to that person. She may also be seen not too far away from said person as well and will notably spend more time with that person. Earning Cheryl's trust is much easier in trials due to the gravity of the situations than outside of trials (especially if Cheryl was on the receiving end of the fog typical maiming. Heal her and she will start to trust you immediately) If trust is broken she will become notably more aggressive towards that character and depending on the severity, fight. 

Her behavior is more noticeable with much older adults (30+ range). In her opinion theyre adults they should know better. She is notably easier to get along with the closer in age you are to her. 

Assorted information

-Birthday is February 23 1985 making her 19 at the time of her abduction in 2005. 

-Hair is naturally dark brown and is heavily damaged from repeatedly dying it blonde.

-Eyes are dark brown.

-Appearance is a mix of both Alessa and young Cheryl with Alessas appearance becoming more dominant as time passed and shares Alessa's lineage. Freckles are a completely new development. Ethnicity is likely some part Scottish/Irish and French. Irish more likely due to more recent immigration patterns from the 1800s. However she believes she is of Italian descent due to Harry.

-Additional notes on appearance. Young Cheryl was created as the ideal cute child. Soft features, cute little button nose, pudgy. Every part of her appearance was made to make her more approachable and lovable, likely from Alessa's need to be loved that she never received growing up. As she aged her attributes sharpened and she began to take on more of a potential future alessa had she not been forced into the position she was in.

-In her youth Cheryl was both an extremely needy child personality wise, often wanting to be close or around Harry and in a health sense where she needed constant medical attention. Harry after getting over his fears of raising her treated her like a princess. Often indulging her in whatever she wanted within reason. Cheryl likewise never asked for much. All she wanted was constant love and attention, something Harry was more than happy to give. 

-Responds to both Cheryl and Heather. Sunflower and Sunshine are also things she responds to.

-Inherited a lot of original Cheryl’s things and as a child played with toys similarly to her. Even her favorite toy was the same, a caterpillar plush. 

-Interested in insects and entomology and originally wanted to go into that field of study. Favors insects like beetles and butterflies. Likely carried over from Alessa's interest in butterflies and moths. Also owned bugs. Current insects under her care (Douglas now) are a Mexican red knee tarantula and a Hercules beetle (Daisy and Theohorn).

-5’8” without boots. Likes to make herself appear taller to intimidate people.

-Primary phobias are eisoptrophobia (mirrors), cynophobia (dogs), pyrophobia (fire), trypanophobia (needles) and latrophobia (doctors and medical procedures). More recently she’s developed severe tokophobia (Pregnancy)

Cheryl’s cynophobia is more triggered by larger dogs like Doberman or Rottweilers. Smaller dogs don’t trigger this fear as much though she will be visibly uncomfortable.

Her Eisoptrophobia manifests in her covering reflective surfaces in her home and locations she sleeps in and is deeply uncomfortable with her own reflection. In the realms she began to smash reflective surfaces with rocks and anything heavy enough.

Despite her Latrophobia and trypanophobia she is willing to let medics help her if trust has been reached or if someone she trusts is there in the room with her. She will never see a doctor alone outside of those two situations.

Her pyrophobia does not manifest with controlled fires such as the campfire, fireplaces or fire barrels. It does manifest with objects like flame turrets, the dark lords hellfire spell. Crotus prenn asylum and father campbells chapel make her visibly uncomfortable.

Tokophobia is self explanatory

-Cheryl suffers from ADHD (combined type), CPTSD, and more recently selective mutism.

-Sexuality is Panromantic asexual. She is weary about expressing her romantic interest publicly both out of fear of what others may do to her and fear of her partner being harmed for her relationship with them. 

-Douglas was her primary guardian after Harry’s death. Cheryl was grateful for him taking her in and had worked odd jobs to help Douglas pay for the apartment. Babysitting and working under Douglas were constants.

-Notable wounds are a sizable bite on her left leg from a doublehead attack and surgery scars under the stomach region. She is notably much weaker in the left leg to a point where she cannot walk if it’s hit (Due to the biology of the double head the bite appears split and takes a larger chunk out. Keen survivors may notice and call her on the abnormalities or leave it at that.). Additionally the damage was enough to warrant a mobility aid during her healing process. Does not like being touched in the stomach region and will not allow people to touch her anywhere there. Later on she will gain a chest scar from executioners mori however this does not impact her.

-Cheryl will lie about aspects of her life and is good at keeping her lies going mainly how Harry died and why she behaves oddly towards certain things (religion, past identities and her phobias primarily). She wont tell the truth unless evidence is presented or if shes caught in a lie though she will try to worm her way out of it. 

-She will speak positively about Harry and Douglas if asked about them.

-She enjoys spicy foods.

-Has a prominent cat and seafood allergy.

Relationship with The Executioner

The Executioner is Cheryl’s killer and is a creature that haunted her for years in her dreams ever since escaping that town. In her dreams it wished to capture her and would often mimic the appearance of a Valtiel sect executioner. In the fog it fully manifested and began hunting her both inside and outside of trial. It seeks her out constantly to ensure shes in one piece for the now dead cult and so shes able to bring paradise. Red pyramid thing and Executioner are separate entities.

There are notable differences between James' red pyramid thing and Cheryl’s Executioner. 

They don’t target each other's creators intentionally. Red pyramid thing exclusively targets James and Maria while Executioner targets Cheryl exclusively. If the creator is killed by the opposite pyramid head it is often collateral damage rather than intentionally seeking them out and killing them.

Red pyramid thing while large is much more realistically human looking and is meant to mirror james body type while Executioner is much larger, much more masculine and more suited for overpowering survivors much quicker. 

Executioner when targeting Cheryl focuses on capturing her through the cages of atonement but not directly killing her, many of her cage deaths are through blood loss or a vital organ being punctured. That being said though Executioner is more brutish when it comes to other survivors protecting her and will view them as obstacles that need to be cut down quickly.

Once captured or killed, Executioner will guard her body and will not allow others to approach.
