Blog02 - Reference

Through last week's understanding of the planned project and task allocation, we successfully created a moving preview environment where Ellie and I were responsible for the third shot. Although the content inside is not large, it is not easy to connect with the previous shots, so I started looking for some references:

Based on the storyline provided by Ojandeui, I also began to think about how to better fit this artistic style environment, so I found some assets to prepare for future environmental tasks.

STORY

This is a story of an explorer searching for treasure. Two explorers discovered a mysterious cave on the mountain, so the two decided to go in and take a look. Two people held torches, and the flames lit up the peculiar things in the cave, including sculptures, peculiar texts and murals inside, a large amount of gold, treasure chests, and weapons. The two of them were very happy and wanted to take away these treasures. Unexpectedly, a large fire dragon suddenly appeared and launched an attack on them. The two of them panicked and ran away, searching for the direction to escape. Afterwards, they discovered a corridor hoping to escape. The corridor was wide, and the dragon entered and continued to chase the two.

Tama ba na iniwan mo ako? O ako yung mali na pilit na kumakapit sa mga pangako mo?

Kailan ba nagiging tama ang mali? Tama ba ako na mahalin ka na dapat hindi kasi may mahal ka ng iba? Sabi nila pag magmamahal ka nasa tama ang lahat. Tamang PAG-IBIG at tamang PANAHON. Ngunit kailan ba nagiging mali ang pag ibig at kailan nagiging mali ang panahon? Yan ang mga tanong na nais ko sanang sabay nating sagutin. Ngunit sadyang mapaglaro ang tadhana. Inakala ko kasing pareho tayong bahagi ng relasyong ating ginawa. Yun pala 'AKO LANG'. Tama na sigurong limutin ko ang mga ito at itama ang mga mali ko. Dahil sa PAGLISAN mo nahanap ko na ang TAMA sa buhay ko💛

DO WHAT YOU CAN’T: COMPELLING BRAND TAGLINE OF SAMSUNG

Have you ever doubted yourself? Do you feel limited and incapable? Do you only recognize negative in everything? Have you asked yourself once on how will you stop seeing negatives and rather focus on positives? Questions. Out of the blue, these group of men asked me about these questions and I responded with a simple but powerful word “Yes!”

People become interested in a brand that contains appealing, creative, amusing, and inspirational tagline. “Move the way you want,” “Finger lickin’ good,” Betcha can’t eat just one,” “Save money. Live better,” “Just Do It,” and such. These taglines are designed to introduce their brand in a way potential buyers will remember and recognize it easily. Among brand taglines I have seen, the brand tagline of Samsung always amazes me—“Do what you can’t.” Samsung offers excellent products that are worth-investing for. Furthermore, the service are commendable.

“Do what you can’t.” Interesting philosophy, it is. It may not work at all times but this straightforward and captivating motto is a noteworthy message for people to make impossible possible. People know themselves more than others do. However, sometimes, the idea of the logic “I know better” limits oneself. “Oh, declamation contest? No, I can’t. I have stage frights.” “Theater play? Never. I am horrible in acting.” You have already closed the door of opportunity before it benefits you. You have already declined new things without even trying it. Basically, you see things and new adventures as impossible as sun getting cold.

Apart from Samsung’s incomparable products possessing features where you can do what you can’t, the brand also promotes self-esteem. Here are the reasons on how this tagline will help Samsung attract potential buyers:

·         Simple but compelling. The four (4) words say thousand meanings.

·         Recognizable, it what makes the tagline easy to remember.

·         Unique and powerful. The tagline contains word of wisdom.

·         Inspirational. The company’s brand connects and builds everlasting          relationship to customers.

·         Uplifting. Promotes positive message.

Fears and Anxiety make you feel everything is impossible. It manipulate people and make them think they are not capable of doing something that could change one thing. The fears and anxiety in you don’t only fool you from saying you are limited, it also maneuvering your life little by little. Seemingly, these two are hard to overcome as these may are both an effects of a traumatized individual. Slowly, if people do what they can’t, attempt to try new things, and don’t fear mistakes anymore, then, sure enough, they will succeed.

Brands like Samsung don’t only aim to increase their product’s market share but they also aim to strengthen and disseminate promotional messages.

The Samsung and its workers put a lot of efforts to come up with such galvanizing, smart and encouraging brand tagline—needless to say, the brand effortlessly used effective brainstorming techniques and strategies to foster customer loyalty and capture their attention through a motto and/or slogan.

You will really know how Samsung perform successfully when consumers only know good words to them.

"Maling Desisyon"

Noong nag preprepare kami para sa christmas party namin sinabi ng aming adviser na matulog sa room para bantayan ang mga pagkain na inihanda namin. Pero may hindi magandang nangyari dahil siguro sa sobrang takot nawalan ng malay ang aming isang kasama at dinala sa hospital. Dahil sa nangayari hindi namin ito sinabi sa aming adviser dahil alam namin na madadamay kami. Kinausap nalang namin ang taong siyang rason kung bakit nawalan ng malay ang aming kasama at humingi din siya ng tawad dahil sa kanyang ginawa.

THE GOLDEN RULE

When I was in grade 10, when we are about to check our quizzes naririnig ko yung mga sinasabi ng mga nasa likuran ko, "tol! Golden rule haha" sure" ganun yung mga usapan nila, ànd I am wondering kung ano yung sinasabi nila, kung ano yung pinag-uusapan nila ( chismosa tong ate niyo HAHAHA) gavva golden rule? Ang pagkakaalam ko kadi sa sinasabi nilang golden rule ay yung "wag mong gawin sa iba ang ayaw mong gawin nila sayo". So pagkatapos ng checking of papers, nainggit ako syempre sa kanila kasi naman perfect nila e ang hirap na nga ng quiz namin, yung first honor nga namin andaming mali e, hayss di naman sa minamaliit ko yung kakayahan ng utak nila pero duhhh? Nagda-doubt talaga ako! Only to find out para sa kanila, pag sinabing " exchange papers to your seatmate " o di kaya "check your own paper" pag dating sa kanila, walang maling sagot, lahat tama.

I keep my mouth shut nalang kahit chismosa to! Like errr? Sarili lang naman nila dinadaya nila at tsaka walang improvement yung knowledge nila kung ganun sila palagi.

So, kailan tama ang mali? Pag checking of papers na sa mga nasa likuran ko!

HAPPINLESS

Being Free sometimes can make you feel comfortable. Single mistakes I made takes a Big Deal to everybody. Minsan gusto mo lang maging malaya pero di mo magawa. Yung tipong gusto mo lang maging masaya pero tutol sila.😐 Pero di ko sinasabing mali sila, ngunit gusto ring alam nilang gusto ko ring maging masaya.😞Kase being free you'd express everything na gusto mong gawin. Dito nagiging Happy ka. Pero di lahat ng Saya tama. Minsan gusto mong gumala kasama mga barkada pero di mo magawa kasi para kang nakakadena. Kaya minsan nagagawa mong suwayin ang mga magulang mo for your own happiness.Gusto ko rin yung night time with my friends, swimming with friends and other bonding with them.🤙Pero "DI PWEDE" lalo na pag gabi. Pero some quotation caught my attention "Life is short, break the rules". Breaking the rules makes happiness nga naman. Pero di ibig sabihin nun suwain nako, kasi inaalam ko naman LIMITATION ko. At pagnagbrebreak ako ng rules yung tipong diko sila pinag-alala. Sumusuway ako para maging masaya at maranasan yung bagay na nagawa ng iba sa paraang pinipili ko yung galaw ko kung saan o ano yung tama't mali. Sa buhay minsan kailangan mo ring makawala para makita o maranasan yung bagay na di mo nagagawa sa loob ng mga hawla. Pero uulitin ko di sila mali kasi we all know that Parents knows best. Minsan kasi Over Protective sila kaya ganun.Kaya naiintindihan ko naman sila but Breaking rules is wrong however it becomes right when you know your doing right. Diba? 🤔

So, KAILAN TAMA ANG MALI?

Several years ago, most of the ordinary people used to hire carpenters to build their houses. They hire usually some experienced carpenters rather than the engineers. Most houses back then were made of wood or some light materials. Some of it may last long but some are not that is why houses nowadays are concrete, considering also the uncontrollable natural phenomenons.

Most of the houses nowadays are concrete but problems may still occur. Some of the problems are the presence of  termites, malfunctioning of gutters due to clogs, water leaks from the roof when raining and etc. Problems occur usually on old or aged houses or not well-planned houses.   

Some people rely on carpenters than on engineers, first is because they haven't known any engineer , next is that they just used to hire carpenters easily and lastly is due to budget.Mostly are preferring engineers but then they cant easily find one or they always think of that engineers should be well-payed but they don’t have enough budget for it. 

 As we get to have an interview with the people or possible customers, we found out that most of them would really prefer engineers but then they depend on their budget. According to one of our interviewee, he would prefer engineer to build houses than on carpenters. If it's only a one-storey residential house it is okay for carpenters to do it but then if it's 2-storey or more, it would really be for engineers because that is their profession, to plan, estimate and more. Lastly, most of the interviewees don't have an easy access to find engineers.

Assignment 02 : Wired for Story

I found Cron’s “Wired for Story” very eye-opening for storytelling. I’ve never been a good writer and I just assumed I wasn’t a good storyteller, so when she said you don’t have to write beautifully to tell a story. While that excites me, after reading this I have a lot to reflect on when writing a story. Something I tend to struggle at is being it simple, my mind is always a hot mess or so many thoughts are always racing that I feel like I have to word-vomit everything out. Cron gives good advice to break it down into simple steps and questions, and it’s something I wanna try to do for my Junior project. I have had a story for 12 years that seemed to 180 almost every day, so stepping back and taking those basic barebones might be an easier way for me to build a strong story that others could understand and enjoy. Another point she made that I never thought about is the plot not is what the story is about, but rather a story is how the plot affects the Protagonist. The two main important things are a good Protagonist, give them a problem that will affect and find a theme that you wanna say. That's another thing, the theme to me is a scary word and I don’t know why but after her writing I feel a little better. This reading took a lot of pressure off me. Hopefully, I can take her tips and tricks and put them in my work! Wish me luck!
