Red Dead 2 characters alongside what their animal counterparts would be - we already know high-honor Arthur is represented with a buck and a bluejay in game, so I wanted to think of what other animals could represent the other characters.

So far, I have:

1. Arthur Morgan - Buck/Bkuejay

2. John Marston - Wolf

3. Dutch Van Der Linde - Lion

4. Hosea Matthews - Silver Fox

ANIMAL ARMY BACKGROUND MEMBERS!!

this is not an exhaustive list and some of them i’m not sure of the names but i tried :D! all are up to interpretation as they are not listed on IMDB, credits or any official source as far as i can tell!

and this is really only focused on scenes from S1 as nobody apart from Bear, Tiger and Pony are shown very clearly past that (or shown uhh.. alive, anyways...)

in no particular order:

Flamingo! very prevalent and recognizable in and out of costume for their bright pink hair

Bluejay! they could be a different type of blue bird but they do look like a bluejay and i love that name! you can see them wearing denim on denim as a way to represent the blue even out of animal costume! very cool

and standing next to Bluejay in the main scenes is Leopard! shown clearly quite a bit compared to some others and i really love the commitment to this outfit its very awesome

Gazelle. they show up very briefly (only in this one shot clearly) but their look is one of my favorites for sure!! So cool and unique

a red bird, while most people connect the image of a red bird with Robins and Cardinals which it very well could be, with the darker red and dark beak i could also see them trying to be Tanager, Finch or Apapane bird. there's really no way to know if they were even given a specific bird type in production but those would be my guesses!

Elephant!! Im guessing it was just from using whatever resources around them but i really love how their ears look weathered, like an elephant who has been through battles as they have

i like to think this is Vulture!! and that’s so cool to me as a name and persona! it just started in my mind because they stand next to each other but i like to think that Vulture and Elephant are siblings and found the animal army together :))

Panda! the most prominently shown other than the main four, you see them in the very first shot of the animal army and they have watch over Jepp when he is tied up. it all makes me think they were a member earlier on and very trusted

Raccoon (left) and “Red” panda (right). Since we already know that there's for sure someone named just panda i would assume this character goes by red as a nickname even if their animal army name is officially Red Panda. I also thought it was funny how in the same scene Raccoon kept appearing and disappearing from the background on the tree ledge, im sure it was just a filming thing but so on brand of them tbh

i think this would be Orangutan! that name is seen one of the walls. they are one of the ones holding back daisys chains and are seen in the very first scene of the animal army as well.

I believe this is Bison! From what i could tell they are only shown in this shot in the background until they zoom over to Panda and i didnt see them in any scenes after that clearly. there is writing on one of the walls that says Bison and thats the only reason i don’t say Cow or Bull, still could be though! I wish we got to see more of them because its very cool

This should be Porcupine! They are hardly shown and it was hard to get a real picture of them. kinda interesting that we do have a porcupine hybrid child later on too, Porcupine you probably would have loved to meet Otto

i just started calling this Bird because i can’t figure out what type they are, and i think its kinda fun to think they were the first bird member (after flamingo) and just like birds generally :)

Zebra! shown prominently in the main scenes and one of the people given the responsibility of opening daisys containers doors. kinda terrifying outfit so good job Zebra

I think this is Peacock! they are quite literally shown for less than 2 seconds in all lol

slightly perplexing...Otter, Weasel, even Vole, Mink or Loris? lots of possibilities and im so not sure

Armadillo i'm pretty certain of! They are one of the ones holding daisy’s chains and I couldn't really figure out who they were in other scenes when they are not in their full outfit since their face is mostly covered 

I believe this is Hyena but its quite hard to say for certain, but it does say “heyena (do you see what i did there)” on the animal wall so i could totally see this being them! they also hold daisys chains

Rabbit! they're cool i'm very curious as to the materiel of their mask

i am saying this is Crow because i really want it to be

thats pretty much all for S1 but there are also things on the walls like "killawhale" and a lion drawing which is probably from canon members not shown in their full animal army outfits as well!

Hello writerly friends!

I have not forgotten you! Well, I have, but only because the weekend was very busy and this Monday is a holiday here, so it feels like Sunday. Apologies for the Sunday post on Monday.

How are we doing? This is kind of the middle of the event, and I know from previous events that at this point, a lot of people drop out. I'm extremely pleased that I still see most of the people posting their wordcounts who started this with all of us. Go writers!

As I was musing about all of us writing, I was wondering, once again, why we often feel like writing is hard. It feels kind of unfair, doesn't it? We want to write, it should come easily to us, it should be like a fun ride. And sometimes it is, but so many times it is not. 

When writing is hard, we feel like we're doing something wrong. Because it should be easy, right?

Why is writing so hard? 

Because you're literally creating something new just from your own brain. Think about it, you're creating! Just from your own mind! Not everyone can do that. 

People now prompt a generative LLM AI to skip this exact process, because it's so difficult to do. They think if they can just skip this difficult part of writing, they'll easily end up with a good product to sell. But that's not what writing is. I know it's futile to tell AI prompters how creativity lives in the hard parts of creation, how they produce soulless drivel that nobody wants to read, because they don't care. 

But we care. We create, from our hearts, from our own life experiences, from our minds. And it's difficult. It has to be, otherwise any algorithm could do it.

If you're doubting yourself, because the words won't come as easily as you wish, because you're stuck on a part that you didn't expect to be so difficult, give yourself a mental hug. Because you're doing fine. You're creating something new, something that only you, yes you!, can create in this way. This is not easy. 

You're not a failure, or a bad writer, because you struggle. Creation is not easy. 

Take a breath, take a break, get some tea, and try again.

"Cassian? Cassian, are you listening to me?"

It tickles. Oh, gods, it tickles.

Cassian squirms a little, tilting his head and wrinkling his nose. He's sure Nesta is saying something terribly important and while the sound of her voice is a symphony of sun and skies, it takes all of his self-control to contain himself.

"Yes, of course! I, the best husband in the world, devote my complete attention to my beloved wife."

"What was I saying?" Nesta deadpans, folding her arms across her chest. She drums her fingers across her bicep, patiently waiting for Cassian's excuse.

Before he can say anything productive, he bursts into a fit of giggled, and bites his lip. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, I swear I was listning. But if you could repeat yourself, I would love you forever."

"You'll love me forever even if I don't," she counters without missing a beat. Her eyes trail him up and down, watching him squirm, nearly cross his arms over his chest and decide against it. "What's wrong with you?"

"Nothing."

Her gaze narrows, and she steps closer. Nesta draws her hands back, and strikes hard and fast, tickling his sides. All is lost—completely lost!

Cassian bursts into laughter. "Mercy, mercy!"

"Not until you—Ah!" Nesta's yelp is sudden and pitched as she jumps back. "What's that?"

From the inside of his vest, a tiny baby bluejay pops its head out, using Cassian's chest hair as a tiny little toupee. It chirps at Nesta happily, then wiggles back into the comfort of Cassian's clothes.

"Well, you see, I wanted to ask how you felt about birds?"

"Cassian!"

He knows it isn't very fair to ask Nesta to keep the baby bird when he's already got the baby bird, but he is the General of the Night Court and battles aren't always won with fairness.

"What do bluejays eat?"

Azriel's voice is quieter than the little singing bird. He squats by the makeshift nest, watching the hatchling bury itself in scraps of Cassian's old clothing and hair they definitely didn't just pull out. They wanted to swaddle him in Cassian's scent, what else were they supposed to do?

"I dunno."

"Tamlin didn't give you a list?"

"Well, he did, but I lost it."

Azriel pauses, and looks up at Cassian unimpressed. Of course, Cassian would adopt a baby bird and of course, he would decide to wing it. Pun intended. The shadowsinger sighs, and conjures little shadow tendrils to entertain the chick.

"His name?"

"Buttmunch."

A small smile creeps on Azriel's features. The two of them high five in some inside joke no one else is privy too.

"Want to make a bet?"

Cassian tilts his head, his bun following the motion and going lopsided. It's still too early to be stylish. It's just Azriel, anyway. He cocks a scarred brow, already invested in this brewing game. He doesn't win often, but this time, he will. If it's about Buttmunch, nobody knows his baby as well as he does.

"Gather food. Label them. Whoever's food Buttmuch picks wins."

"Okay, what do I win?"

"Your name goes first. Buttmuch, son of Cassian and Azriel. If you win."

"HELL YEAH!"

The meeting is running long.

Cassian leans his cheek into his fist, half-lulling himself to sleep. There's only so much court things he can take. He is a man of action, a do-er, not a talker. His only saving grace is the grumpy little bluejay sitting on Rhysand's shoulder. Buttmunch didn't want to get up. Buttmunch also didn't want to left alone in Cassian's room.

He's in a mood, Cassian had told his brother, but Rhysand insisted that his winged-nephew join him.

The hatchling looks especially angry, trembling a little as he—oops.

"Buttmunch the first! Son of Azriel and Cassian!" Cassian yowls between fits of laughter. He gets up and swoops his little birdy with a grin. "I guess that's meeting adjourned? I'll buy you a new suit. Oh, and I told you so."

"With what money? You owe me from last time I spotted you."

"Sorry, gotta go! Potty training!"

The problem with being the most handsome and innovative male in the Night Court is that everyone wants to be him. Cassian rescued Buttmunch, and now Azriel wants one too.

He rushes to the texted location—to where his brother found an egg all by itself on the ground. Cradled in the mud at the banks of swampy water lies Buttmunch's future brother.

"Should we wait for the egg to hatch?"

"I don't know. Buttmunch game ready made."

"Ready—Ready made?"

"Yeah, hatched and chirping and all. He just kinda fell out of a tree."

The two of them stand there, inspecting the egg. Cassian feels little feet scractching at his head as Buttmunch pops out of his bun, joining in the open display of curiosity.

Beside them, the water sloshes. Both Illyrians turn their attention to the murky depths.

"Is that—"

"RUN!"

A giant crocodile bursts out of seemingly nowhere, snapping its jaws at the two idiots invading its nest. Cassian holds onto Buttmuch while running for dear life.

"Sorry, Butt," Cassian says, breathless, once they reach safety. "We'll find you a sibling."

The scare by the swamp weighs on Cassian's mind. What if Buttmunch had fallen off? What if Cassian forgot to hold onto him and he'd been eaten? Oh, he'd be inconsolable if he lost his baby chikie.

"You're not a baby anymore. Look how chonky you are. That's teen-bird chonk. That means you're ready to fly," he lectures. "It's for your safety."

"Are we sure he understands?" Feyre squats down to scratch his fuzzy little head. "He is so cute."

"Did you understand your parents when you were born?"

"No. I was a baby."

"Okay, well, Buttmunch is a genius. Look at this." Cassian twirls his finger. "Do the cyclone!"

Right on cue, Buttmunch turns in a circle on the spot. The hatchling chirps and preens at his papa-bat.

"That's it, I'm kidnapping him and keeping him forever."

"You can try, but he's imprinted on me. It's why Tamlin let him live with me instead of releasing him back into the Spring Court forests."

"We'll see when he learns to fly and becomes independent. So, how do we start?"

As one of the last people who learned to fly, Feyre is the perfect teaching assistant to Cassian. The three of them stand on the roof. They try to show Buttmunch to flap his wings, but the chick only tilts his head to the left and to the right in confusion.

"Like this," Cassian takes big leaping steps, flapping his wings in demonstration.

Buttmunch hops after him excitedly, but his wings are tucked firmly at his sides.

"Okay, what if I just pushed him off the roof? His instincts are bound to kick in, right?"

"What if I pushed you off the roof?"

Feyre regards Cassian like he's lost his damn mind. Flying isn't easy and rushing that process isn't going to make Buttmunch successful. She bends down to scoop the tiny bluejay into her hands. He nestles into the warmth of her touch and that gives her an idea.

"Fly," she tells Cassian.

"What?"

"Just fly. Pretend like you're leaving him behind."

Cassian frowns. Abandonment seems… cruel. He looks between Feyre and his munchkin, then steps back off the edge. As soon as he disappears, Buttmunch cries out desperately. Cassian swoops back up into the sky, flapping his wings and keeping a distance between them.

"Go to papa," Feyre tells Buttmunch, extending her arms.

The chick remains focused on Cassian, spreading its little wings and flapping. He tries and tries, trying to lift himself when Feyre decides to give him a little momentum. A little toss up into the air where she can still catch him and there he goes.

"He's flyin'! My baby boy is flyin'!"

Buttmunch's trajectory is a little unsteady, dropping a little as he tries to meet Cassian in the air. Oh, he doesn't seem sure at all, but he's determined. He chirps, chirps, and Cassian likes to say he's announcing his arrival—I'm coming! I'm coming!

Cassian cheers him on and catches him, howling his victory. His Buttmunch is the best, the very best!

Flying is freedom.

Flying is boundless.

He can go as far and as wide as he pleases, with nothing to stop him except his own will. Cassian soars through the clouds above Velaris, a fierce blue dart beside him. He twists his body, torpedoing through the white wisps, and the bluejay mimicks his prowess.

The two of them were meant to fly.

Velaris boasts the most beautiful sights, but there is nothing like the endless sky welcoming him and his Buttmunch with open arms.

Inspired by conversations with @janetm74, here's a little thing based on the idea some time very early on in Jeff's fledgling business phase and before nuclear power got banned, and when the kids were small, the Tracies and the Van Arkles of the Uranium Empire might have been in each other's orbit through mutual acquaintances in high places. This was supposed to be nothing but laughs and wee shenanigans, but hey! Some angst and foreboding seeped in.

BEFORE THE DARK

The dinner ran it's course all the way to coffee and cigars at a drawing room overlooking the gardens of the Creighton-Ward manor. Just as the conversation shifted inevitably on to new bills regulating the nuclear energy production and radioactive ore mining, as well as the looming possibility of a big war. The men stayed standing in a close circle, voices hushed and tense.

Summer evening in the British countryside peeked in through the glass terrace doors with wiffs of the warm wind, infused with birds chirping and gleeful shrieks of children, playing outside, finally free of the formal confines of the dinner table. Jeff Tracy brought his little platoon of sons over to visit Lord Hugh. The Van Arkles too had their young son and daughter in tow. The elder boys, by the sound of it, were now wreaking havoc on the immaculately manicured lawn. The Tidy Twosome, at least - three year old John and Penny - were quiet and primly engrossed in a mutually fulfilling task of navigating a picture book.

The sudden patter of little feet on the terrace tiles and a painful yelp interrupted the cadence of the talk, as a five year old Scott ran inside - all wild blue eyes and windswept curls - made a beeline for his Dad and hid behind Jeff, hugging his knees for extra protection. Jeff barely had a chance to glance down at his (usually) fierce and fearless eldest, as the latter was closely followed by a tiny running girl, brown hair in two matching pigtails, now askew, brandishing a pool noodle about twice her size. The girl was eliciting something closely resembling a war cry. Jeff could feel Scotty squeeze himself into the adult's leg tighter. Jeff reached down and hoisted the boy up into his arms. He saw Willem Van Arkle do the same with the girl, who was yet to relinquish her weapon and waved it dangerously close to Scott's head. Lord Hugh was exercising all of his aristocratic poise not to laugh out loud. Jeff tightened the hold on his son.

"What's going on, Bluejay? Didn't I tell you to look after Virgie and Johnny after dinner?"

Brilliant blue eyes grew even wider, if it were at all possible. Scotty squirmed in Dad's arms to point outside, then at the militant girl.

"I WAS, Daddy! SHE wanted to hit Virgie, but Mommy says I should never EVER hit a girl so I created a dive... diva... diverzhon and she HIT ME!"

Lord Hugh gave up and was laughing by that point, trying not to spill vintage cognac on an antique rug. Jeff tried, unsuccessfully, to school his face out of an amused smile.

"SHE is Marion, right Scotty?"

"Yes, sir."

Van Arkle Sr. was frowning worried at the girl in his arms.

"What did we talk about, missy? We're guests here. We don't go hitting people."

Little Marion appeared less amenable to the idea and directed a glare at Scott, more befitting a mortal enemy than a preschooler. Both fathers put the kids down at that, but Jeff made sure to requisition the pool noodle from a grumpy Marion.

"You two go outside now and play nice. Bluejay, you make sure Virgie doesn't wander off and get lost in the park, okay?"

Scotty sketched an eager salute and beamed up at Jeff.

"K', Daddy!"

Ever the southern gentleman, he even offered a hand to the young lady. Marion contemplated his open palm, a little sticky with freshly mowed grass, slapped it forcefully and took off running outside with a yell:

"Tag! You're IT!"

Never the one to turn down a race challenge, little Scotty was sprinting off in a second, hot in pursuit. There soon was a sound of kerfuffle in the garden maze. Apparently Marion's brother and Virgil had joined the fray.

Van Arkle and Lord Hugh collapsed into the leather chairs, both sniggering. Jeff spared another moment scanning the far perimeter of the spacious grounds, making sure he didn't need to intervene.

"Told you, Tracy, the kids would take it on like a house on fire."

"That's one way of looking at it."

Jeff turned back to face the two men, steel eyes going a shade darker. Lord Hugh's face hardened as well.

"Now, gentlemen, what do we know about Bereznik repurposing those old nuclear warheads?"

Children's laughter drifted back inside through the open doors, but the air got chilly before impending dark.

Kimi To Idol Pretty Cure Quick Review Ep 1-19 (Spoilers).

Hi, my name is BJ, short for BlueJay, and welcome to the BirdHouse, where idol culture reigns supreme and your wallet is in imminent distress due to the amount of idol merchandise you purchased last week.

Today, I'll be reviewing each episode currently available for the current Precure season airing, Kimi to Idol/You and Idol!

Ep. 1: A great start to the series with some funny humor with the sumo wrestler. Uta is a good leading heroine with aspirations to help people follow their dreams with her songs. The Chokiri gang is also an interesting villain group. I love the whole biker gang theme. A solid first episode, 8/10.

Ep. 2: Another great episode! The dynamic between Pururin and Uta is adorable. Pururin is a step up from Mepple and Mipple from Futari Wa in terms of personality and motivations. The animation truly shined in the action sequence, not to mention it gives more context to Uta taking her role as the idol precure seriously to save her home and kirakii land. Another solid episode, 8/10.

Ep. 3: Cure Wink makes her debut and I can relate to her as someone who has issues with anxiety when performing in front of others. I do, however, have a few issues with this episode; the episode pacing is rushed, not letting enough room for Nana (cure wink) to get fleshed out more. Another issue with this episode was Uta's reaction to her sister becoming a makkuranda. I was expecting Uta to be full-blown mad, but instead, she just sounded flabbergasted rather than upset. Overall, a cool debut episode. 7.5/10.

Ep. 4: I have mixed opinions on this episode in particular. On one hand, Kaito has so much potential for a support character with an ongoing story arc. Kaito coming back to Japan to rediscover his passion for music would make a great crutch to have a friendly rivalry with the idol cures. BUT ON THE OTHER HAND, the writers let alone the producers, do nothing with him for the first half of the season so far other than him being the bishounen who's perfect at everything. Cool introduction episode with a good twist at the end, 7/10.

Ep. 5: A weird episode with a weird payoff. We introduce our second supporting character, Tanaka who becomes the manager for the idol cures. The animation in this episode was SUPER stiff, and some frames from the character models looked off centered. As for Tanaka, he's okay. I wish the episode had focused more on him instead of the heavy-handed product placement. 6.5/10.

Ep. 6+7: We're introduced to the fan-favorite cure of the season, Kokoro (Cure Kyun-Kyun). It is understandable for her to turn down being an Idol Cure as being an idol AND a superhero is not what she wants to do. This leads to Kokoro closing up her feelings, expressing them through dance, especially as it is a way to cope with the loss of her father. It is a great direction leading up to Kokoro choosing to become a cure, facing her fears, and becoming the 3rd member. Even Pururin gets a character moment too, realizing she pushed Kokoro to a situation without realizing what it means to be an Idol Cure. Overall two amazing episodes. 9/10.

Ep. 8: It's a sleepover episode! The cures are just doing girly pop shenanigans. We get more on Pururin and Kokoro, both sharing a similar situation of wanting to do more in the group, not wanting to be a burden for the cures in their goal to save Kirakiland. I'm glad Pururin provides more moments of growth throughout the episodes! It gives her more depth to not just being the titular 'mascot character'. A fun episode with a great action sequence from Kyun-Kyun. 8/10.

Ep 9: A Nana-focused episode that emphasizes Nana's character arc for wanting to do other activities outside of playing the piano. It's a wacky fun time with Nana doing wacky stunts she's never done before. Kokoro is the best commentator to uncover the seven wonders, while Uta and Pururin are along for the ride. The animation for this particular episode is not my cup of tea due to the stunted movements, including the comedy getting tiring, but overall, a solid episode with a good message about exploring your interests of self-discovery. 7/10.

Ep. 10: Another day, another kokoro episode. The main focus of this episode is Kokoro, similar to Pururin in episode 8, who struggles to be the junior in the team who thinks she weighs the cures down because they are more experienced. In the end, Uta and Nana never felt that way towards Kokoro as they saw her to be the member who pushes to be the best for everyone around her. This ties in to Kokoro expressing her interest, pushing herself out of closeting her emotions, and relying on the cures and her fans for support. We get more of Cutty this episode, as he too struggles with being a fan for the idol cures weighing down his responsibilities for villainy. Another solid episode that cracks me up with laughter and heartfelt moments! 8/10.

Ep. 11: I like the action sequence including the new animation for the climax song, not to mention Lady Darkine is making moves as the big bad helping the chokiri gang upgrade their makkurenda to a kurayaminda. Not only that, it is a Uta-focused episode as she struggles to find her dream career. Uta loves to sing, but she never thought about being an idol as a full profession. Kaito also makes an appearance, providing noticeable advice leading to Uta's true goal as an idol cure. A solid episode, nothing too perfect, but I enjoyed it. 7.5/10.

Ep. 12: We meet our new marketable plushie, Meroron! It turns out she and Pururin aren't sisters. Meroron is actually in love with Pururin, which is quite weird as meroron keeps calling pururin sissy (a word of respect and admiration I guess??). Overall, Meroron is a cute new addition to the team, having a fun dynamic and rivalry with Uta. 8/10.

Ep. 13: It's a sports day episode, so if you think the animation is going to be good, think again. Stilted animation aside, this was an okay episode with a predictable ending. I enjoy the little storylines involving the main cast hanging out at an event before the monster of the week shows up, cause why not? However, I wish this episode had focused more on Meroron, mainly due to the episode focusing on team effort and romance. It would have greatly led up to episode 15 for Meroron asking Pururin out on a date. 6.5/10.

Ep. 14: An emotional episode that'll leave you teary-eyed. It is a mother's day episode and Kokoro's birthday wrapped up into one beautiful episode. The episode conveys the core theme of the season about kira-kira representing a guiding light, or in other words, a light of inspiration that conveys the impact an idol can have on someone whether it be a role model, a friend or a parent. Not to mention it displays Meroron's own spark of admiration towards Puruin as her spark (or kira kira) that brightens her life even in the darkest of times. A fantastic and emotional episode. 9/10.

Ep. 15: A cute date episode for our marketable plushie mascots. We get to know more about Meroron as a kiraki fairy born without a kirakira. Her dynamic with pururin is adorable, making her narrative so interesting. Pururin is an oblivious goofy goober, but she too cares a lot for Meroron in her own way. We also learn about the kiraki lock and key, which I'm sure won't lead to anything tragic (FORESHADOWING). Overall, our marketable plushies make a great pairing that even I want to see more of their interactions together. We must protect them AT ALL COST. 8/10.

Ep. 16: Puruin is the star of this episode, and like all stars she burns the fastest. Pururin's arc to becoming a cure is tragic, with this episode cementing her conflict to become strong to protect the idol cures, but most importantly Uta. Not only that, Cutty also goes through his trajectory to wanting to support the idol cures. This leads Lady Darkine to corrupt Cutty into a kurayaminda that not even the cures can beat. A great episode with an emotional cord leading up to the big reveal of two new cures. 9/10.

Ep. 17: There is SO MUCH to unpack this episode, but I will keep it brief. Pururin and Meroron return to Kiraki land to unveil the secrets to becoming stronger by making a wish on the Kiraki lock and key, but at a great cost. Pururin, despite losing her memories of Uta, wishes nothing more than to protect her no matter the cost. Meroron, while heartbroken from Pururin's declaration, wishes to do the same locking away her own emotions for Pururin's wish. Thus, the debut of our midseason cures, Zukyoon and Kiss. Even Cutty gets redeemed! I hope we get to see him again later in the season (we got the black and white duo cures LETS GOOOOOOO!). While the fight scene was short, this episode was saved by the beautiful animation and duet song, along with an impact narrative I never saw coming. 9/10.

Ep. 18: Uta is head over heels infatuated with Zukyoon, experiencing for the first time what it means to be a fan or oshi to an idol they admire. I do think Uta going "ZUKYOON~!" on repeat was becoming overbearing, that it lost its comedic factor by the time the episode ended. Speaking of endings, we get to see the special moves from Cure Kiss and Zukyoon, with both of them surprisingly taking inspiration from Sailor Uranus and Neptune (Kiss Shock being a mix of Sailor Venus and Neptune's special attack and Zukyoon Bazooka inspired by Sailor Uranus' special attack). It seems Cure Kiss (Meroron) still retains her memories of the past and feelings for Pururin, meaning there might be more to the wish that the audience initially thought. An okay episode. 7/10.

Ep. 19: Another okay episode with a great payoff. Unfortunately, the secret of Pururin and Meroron's identities is revealed to the cures in this episode. I wish they (the writers and producers) kept the secret up for two more episodes because this feels rushed. The fight scene was rushed too, not to mention the whole weird obsession of finding zukyoon and kiss montage for comedic effect isn't my cup of tea. Nevertheless, there are good moments in this episode; Uta, despite having deep admiration for Zukyoon, still worries for Pururin to ensure their safety. Not only that we see a duo transformation sequence along with a glimpse of ZukyoonKiss' civilian forms. Overall, a slow yet impactful episode leading to a tragic turn of events. 6.8/10.

And that's all my thoughts for the current episodes of Kimi to Idol Precure! I'm having a blast watching this show, and although I didn't discuss too much of my thoughts on other elements of each episode, it's enough to convey my excitement and intrigue for future episodes later on in the season. Can't wait to hear everyone else's thoughts on this current season too!

Confession time!! The funniest thing that has ever happened to me while in the aphmau fandom was when a VA yelled at me because I said something along the times of "if we are looking at how they treat workers (bluejay or catface what ever name it is now) we should look at how they treat artists and other jobs with over saturated fields. Bc you cant really replace a VA but you sure can replace an artist" (saying that as an artist). It's so funny and I'm happy that it didn't result in me getting my butt bullied by fans. The dude reblogged me and everything.

Anyways because of this experience I think that the VAs and anyone else in the production team should prob stay away from aphblr. There are some clear opinions held by the people here and them interacting with us will not end up how most would expect. This is Tumblr after all.

I never red or saw To Kill A Mockingbird but I found this quote from the book and ofc that made me think of THG. Because we all know mockingjays are the products of mockingbirds and jabberjays, And yes even though jabberbays are mutant created by the Capitol, they look like real birds : bluejays. And while jabberjays went extinct, mockingbirds still exist and mockingjays too.

It’s from this ask from the lovely @hy-5ive. And more specifically, this bit of my ramblings:

But how does that ripple fix Jason’s death, exactly? After Under the Hood, does Jay wake up buried in the rubble sometime later? Or has Jason’s initial resurrection become fixed in time—a nexus point, if you will, that keeps pulling Jay back in. Now that’s fun to daydream about.

The premise is that Jason wakes up post death by Batarang at the end of Under the Hood back in his coffin, 4 years in the past. He digs his way out, and because he’s not post death by crowbar there’s no head trauma, plus he’s faster this time around (practice makes perfect), so no anoxic brain injury. Which, together, means no catatonia. He is lowkey dying of hypovolemic shock tho, so he still ends up in a hospital. Enter Bruce. Angst and drama ensue. In a perfect world, I’d write this and post it for April 27 this year, but I’d probably get fired from my job for lack of productivity if I made that happen.
