Splash!

Zelda turned, still keeping her dress firmly held above the water. Link stood expressionless in a slightly deeper section. The murky water covered the ankles of his once pristine white boots.

Zelda’s brow furrowed. “…Did you just—“

Link interrupted her, clearing his throat and briskly walking forward. As he passed, he kicked up his heel with a splash.

Zelda’s mind was immediately filled with the scolding voice of her father. Before she had time to feel anything, Link grabbed her hand and pulled.

They ran through the water, laughing and playing like the children they never got to be.

a/n: i wrote this while watching red hood resurrection😋 defo sparked up my creativity to write some angry jason todd fics, would we like to see that?

this was bliss. being with your lovely boyfriend after a long day of work on your behalf and adventuring on his.

links head rested on your chest, eyes closed and lips slightly parted as he listened to the beat of your heart and felt the rise of your skin; his favourite place to be. it reminded him that you were alive—safe. your hand was nestled in his blonde hair, the other occupying an old book your friend gave you for your enjoyment when link was away, which was most of the time much to your dismay.

link suddenly swiped the book from your grip; ignoring your noise of protest as he intertwines his tan fingers with your pales one. he marvels at the sight; your soft, delicate skin against his rough and calloused hand.

“you’re so soft,” he whispers, azure eyes gazing lazily into yours. “and your hand is so small, sweet girl.” he’s always loved how small you were; it made his urge to protect you burn stronger, especially with the threat of ganon.

you laugh at him; your free unoccupied hand running through his dirty blonde strands.

“maybe your hands are just abnormally large?” you tease, to which link snorts against your skin.

“you’ve never complained about their size before, baby.” he huffs, a mischievous glint in his eyes, and a playful tone dancing around his voice. “in fact, i can recall—“ he begins, before you shut him off with your hand to his mouth.

“shush.” you chuckle, to which link licks your palm and hums. “you taste sweet.”

link moves; his face reaching into your neck as he exhales, releasing his minty breath against your skin. “so beautiful, my girl.” he whispers, a promise, that you will forever be his girl<3
