Well, here is what a load of fruit and veg drawings on bubblewrap look like with faces added to them. It was surprisingly quite difficult to draw the faces on the 'bubbly' surface, but I still think these are quite cute!

This isn't a request!! (And you dont have to respond either, promise) Just wanted to squeal anonymously (sorry, the anxiety consumes me) about the amazingness of your web series! I binge read it, ran around with the zoomies like a particularly excited emu, and then diligently checked for every update like it would contain the winning lottery numbers.

I mean, I say that but it had much better content than the lotto. So. Anyway- Theo is so friggin sweet, he's practically cotton candy. One of those artistic ones made to look like a flower that's like the size of Hulk's bicep. Gives me so much cute aggression. Luca has enough anime protagonist energy that I feel like he's secretly got pink hair or something (that is a compliment, I swear). Idk if I want to bubblewrap the poor lad or try out drawing humans for once cause he deserves so much fanart. All the fanart.

And i am *so very thrilled* that Yuki's the next installment. I have a visceral, soul deep *need* to see him get wrecked. It's gonna be sososo satisfying, i just know it. Idk when you'll have anons allowed again, but just in case know that I am kicking my feet and giggling along at each and every chapter.

Also someone please get Hank 10 CCs of hugs, stat. That poor man had to be STRESSIN' the entire time.

As someone who never made a single OC before and suddenly drops a whole bunch of them, I have to admit I'm kinda new to it so it's a relief when I hear people like them^^

I would like to posit something.

II is... Angry. Like- he is so polite- and sort of a chatterbox in conversation, but only the other band members have seen him leave a restroom, quietly apologizing "sorry" to see that the mirror has been absolutely shattered. Only his band mates have seen him stare down men two feet taller than him at bars. Only his band mates have watched him rag-doll to punch a man after they tried to pull a fast one at Vessel. They know he secretly craves any chance he can get to tear down boxes or pop bubblewrap. How his kisses are laced with teeth... but most of the time he sits there happily, thinking about drum techniques. Vessel even thinks he drinks red bulls because he likes the way they crunch in his fingers.

this.. this has been marinating for a moment to long. i didn’t know if it was an art request or not, but i have been a bit to caught up in life so i didn’t draw anything, yet.

II craving to show just how powerful he is has me floored. also has me warm in the face but ay thats fine haha.

im going to be thinking about this for a while, to the point im adding it to a list of things to remember when writing him.

i usually write and draw II polite and understanding, and mainly just a sweetheart. but THIS, this is what might change it all. but im going to just copy and paste it in a note for now and see where it takes me because i REALLY like this.

"Nobody wants me in there." I hope she gets to make amends later in this season. What her character did was unforgivable in season 3 (towards Luther especially), but I do hope she learns and grows into a better person.

Is Klaus scared of dying? He's taking a lot of precautions in what I've seen so far.

Why would Reginald want to kidnap the brellies? Viktor immediately knowing that the kidnapper was sent by his dad, Luther immediately jumping to the conclusion that it was Reginald--he's done something like this before.

Overall: The vibes are very different this season, and the dialogue also seems a bit different. The pacing is also a bit off, but the ending has me intrigued. I have many, many questions. Nice to see all the umbrellas again (+Sparrow Ben, and I treat Lila as an umbrella as well), and on to the second episode!

Video: Part Time Signals - Look Out The Other Window

Cardiff's Part Time Signals return with brand new single 'Look Out The Other Window' which boasts an ever maturing sound and see's the band move into more dynamic and exciting territory.

'Look Out The Other Window' is soulful voyeurism, proximate and is testimony to the band's ability and multi-instrumental arranging.

Look Out The Other Window is the second single from The Window, a forthcoming 5-track EP from Cardiff four-piece Part Time Signals.

This song, out last Friday, is the sequel to Look Out The Window, a song which concludes the band’s debut album Another Day In Paradise (2023), and knowingly alludes to and draws from other songs in the band’s catalogue.

The four-piece are back and will be released their new 5-track EP March 14th via Cardiff's Bubblewrap Collective, having already shared the first single from the EP “The Window”, the band have now unveiled their second track titled “Look Out The Other Window”.

Part Time Signals are a four piece band from Cardiff, Wales. Jacob Church (Sock), Michael Blanchfield (ANGHARAD), Gavin Jenkins (Rainbow Maniac, KEYS, Show Dogs) and Sam Barnes (Boy Azooga, AhGeeBe, Sock). Their full-length debut album ‘Another Day In Paradise‘ was released 20th October 2023 with Bubblewrap Collective both digitally and with a limited run of vinyl copies. 

After recording their first album, BBC Horizons funding made it possible for the band to spend a whole week recording at Giant Wafer Studios in Mid Wales. The band are currently gearing up to release a 5 track EP titled ‘The Window’. The EP will serve as a precursor to the band’s second album which is set to be released later in the year. Making full use of the instruments, recording equipment and time available at the studio, this hefty recording session has seen the band take stock with a plethora of new songs, evolving into amore refined and maturing sound.

The song was self-recorded at Giant Wafer Studios in Mid Wales in February 2024, and features a multitude of layers including hand-played drums, phased guitars and percussion. The recording was mixed & produced by the band’s bassist Sam Barnes.

Dyeing

Bleach

Dry

These are my dying samples on dry black cotton using bleach. I left the cotton in the bleach for 4 different lengths of time to see what would happen to the fabric the longer it is in the bleach. The dry samples are seen to work a lot better than the wet as all 4 samples seem quite consistent and the 5 and 10 are much lighter than the 5 and 10 of the wet samples showing when the fabric is dry the bleach processes a lot better further showing the strength of bleach.

Wet

These are my dying samples on wet black cotton using bleach to see what difference having the fabric wet would make. After leaving it for timed periods I wanted to see what would happen to the wet fabric when processed for different lengths of time. In comparison to the tea and coffee samples these are a lot more splotchy and uneven. In addition, the wet cotton did not work as well as the dry samples as you can see by the 5 and 10 minute samples which are quite a bit darker however the bleach still worked really well and created this almost white colour. If it was left in for longer could it have turned completely white?

Traditional Tie-Dye

For this sample I used the traditional method of swirling up a piece of fabric and holding it in place with elastic bands. I like how this turned out and the unpredictable effect it created therefore forming a very unique and surprisingly detailed piece.

Tie-Dye using Buttons

Here I have created this tie dye design using an array of buttons on black cotton with bleach. I tied the buttons in to place with elastic bands to create these circular focus points on the fabric. I quite like the result of this piece as well as the messy feel it has however it was hard to figure out where I was putting the buttons so it does look a bit messy and uneven but I think this kind of adds to the tie die chaotic effect.

Bubble wrap

Small

Here I have used small bubblewrap to form this bubble textured print on to black cotton using bleach. This is my favourite bleach print I've made as I feel it created this really distinctive pattern and cool effect you wouldn't be able to create without the bubblewrap further encapsulating the texture and look of the bubblewrap.

Big

Using large bubblewrap, black cotton and bleach I created this very unique and abstract design. I really like the final result of this piece due to the very messy and unique pattern, although it doesn't overly resemble the shape of bubblewrap it still makes this nice textured and splattered design that I think worked really well.

Fringe

Pleats

For this design I used black cotton in which I folded into pleats and painted bleach onto the edges. I like the idea behind this piece however I haven't executed it very well as the lines are a bit blotchy and uneven although if it was a bit more aesthetically pleasing I think it would create a much more appealing and neater piece as well as an easier method to making pin stripes.

Paintbrush

For this design I used a thick paint brush to create this petal like effect using bleach and black cotton. I really like how this design came out as I feel I creates this x-rayed flower look, due to the unique gradients and textured created forming this very interesting design.

Illustration

Here I wanted to take a more artsy and detailed approach to dyeing fabric, I attempted to create these illustrations using bleach and a brush.

Swan

I created a simple line drawing of a swan in which I traced with tailors chalk and drew over in bleach, after leaving it to "set" for an hour I rinsed it out and left it to dry creating the illustration below. In conclusion, painting with bleach was a lot easier than I thought it would be hence I did quite a simplistic design therefore I wanted to try again with a more trickier and detailed design however I did like how it turned out other than a few splotchy areas.

Flower

Here I created a bleach illustration of a flower, linking in with the flowers in the gardens at cannon hall. I traced over the image in tailors chalk then using a paint brush applied the bleach to create the design below. I like how this design turned out and found it quite easy. I further believe I could do a bit more of a harder design possibly including gradients and finer line work.

Flower with Puff Binding

For this piece I experimented with puff binding, puff binding is an emulsion that is used for painting and printing 3D effects on fabrics, when heated the paste bubbles and creates this textured design. I really enjoyed using this medium and overall like the overall look it creates.
