something to think about with "the right age to become a parent"... there's a fine line between "they should be at the club" like "why am i spending my precious youth changing diapers and getting screamed at" and the next stage of your life which is the "wait my back hurts" "i sprained something" "i'm so stiff today" "i'm getting a migraine" age. and it's not a clean demarcation, in fact you can be both "supposed to be at the club" and also "jesus christ my hips, it hurts to walk." you can be figuratively and spiritually at the club, physically a bag of bones and raw nerves and skin losing its supple elasticity, while emotionally and literally taking care of a child or multiple children. and so i say to you: there is no perfect age to become a parent. however do consider that at one point you will be in an active state of decay and you gotta ask yourself if you want to have a screaming toddler who you have to pick up over and over again... while your brittle joints snap crackle and pop.
#post brought to you by a conversation i'm having this morning with another parent of a 1st grader#who told me she threw out her back yesterday so she couldn't take her kids to school or dance class#same parent shattered her ankle at school drop off last year#in my neighborhood there's a lot of Older Parents who Focused on their Career#and yes they have financial security but they envy my YOUTHFUL VIGOR#which is so funny because i'm 35 and need CBD and ibuprofen to function#but they're always like ohhh no trust me every year after 35 is another year closer to the grave. and you feel it#and i'm like ah i see. well. looking forward to that

maybe this isnt true in the city but at least here it seems like skateboarding/longboarding is NOT a big thing
#we have a skate park really close by but ive only ever seen like. one guy on a skateboard there#its all scooters... and then the bmx bikes on the track next to it#no but greater sydney area generally theres like. idk one chain that only really does skateboard (no longboard)#maybe cruiser idk. and then like 3 independent shops#and this is a big area this isnt like cbd. even worse for rollerskates so ive heard lmao#huh. just had a look at our local chain and it turns out they Do sell a couple of longboards#but theyre advertised as cruisers..../???#like. theyre definitely not lmao but#they still dont do longboard wheels tho which is the pertinent part for me rip#ONE set on the site. and u cant get them in shop anywhere its online only#at which point there are other shops lmao..#oh i wasnt counting city beach but maybe i should have LMAO theyre at least carrying globe#well. on second thought their better brands dont seem to be available anywhere in store. so

pushok is very arthritic now and has a mass growing in his abdomen that we've decided would be too invasive and and costly to put him through, especially as a 9yo big dog that only likes maybe 3 people. he's getting shots for arthritis and we're seeing if CBD will make any difference but right now i'm just hoping he pulls through to his 10th birthday in july..
#ftr i dont believe the cbd will magically heal him or anything we're just trying to see what makes him comfortable and keep an appetite#id be lying if i said i wasnt upset at my parents for not keeping his weight in check#the kindest thing you can do for an aging large dog is keep them at a healthy weight for their joints#but hes done pretty well for an inbred mutt from bumfuck siberia hes outlived and generally had fewer issues than some#large purebreds of the same age he was friends with

I've been trying to cut back on the amount of prayer beads I invest in...but I'm sore tempted to get a set for Dionysus. I'm going to the theater in May, the first time I'll be seeing a musical live. And with my mental health being as it is...having something tangible to hold onto when I'm having trouble, and to wear at the musical, sounds like a good idea.

so like. out of curiosity. if i went "what the heck why not" and got a chapstick with *squints at product info* 75 mg of full-spectrum cbd in it. i am pretty sure i am not at risk of living out the "forever brownie mishap" meme given that it's mainly cbd and not massive amounts of thc in it, and also i do not eat lip balm directly, but i'm curious what kinds of effects it will have if i use it. is it like. numbing? does it take a significant slathering of chapstick to have any real effect on one's mental state?
idk the tism wants to know what i'm going into here and i keep seeing people tout cbd as a miracle oil and i've already experienced how wrong that narrative is when applied to essential oils of the non-hemp kind

#🎶#I have been sick all night and the worst part is that this is all psychological#I’m literally just that anxious about the interview tomorrow even though logically I understand it’s that big of a deal#*it’s not#so I’m just sitting here like dry heaving bc I’m not actually fucking sick my brain is just being a pussy#I can’t even eat. despite being in my head it’s a very real physical reaction#like GIRL we are going in whether you like or not grow UPPPPPP#I was doing okay before I started doing mock interviews in my head last night like WHY the fuck did I do that#made my brain start going a million miles an hour so I couldn’t sleep good#I can’t even take any cbd oil bc I could be drug tested soon AUUUUGHHH#cbd oil doesn’t even get you high btw it doesn’t have thc but I gotta be careful either way#well some of them DO but the one I have doesn’t.#at least it will be over soon
