My friend does not understand why I like commander fox. he's like "he had 5 minutes of screen time and everything he did was bad" ok sure you're right BUT have you considered that 1. he's sexy and 2. me and some people on tumblr have group hallucinated a personality for him and decided that the atrocities were NOT his fault

But seriously, why don’t more people mention how many guns fox seems to have? This is more than the rex, cody, bly, or wolffe figures. Fox canonically being fucking insane/overarmed in this way is so funny to me.

Fix the Broken By MagicalStardust

Summary:

Mouse droids were harmless, they just cleaned floors and carried messages, tried to stay out from under everyone’s feet. What was even the point of hurting them?

Fox knew why. It was the same reason people hurt him. It was fun.

Fox comes across a broken mouse droid. He decides that, although he can't seem to save anything in this life, maybe he can at least fix the droid.

"Commander Fox was wrong" this... "Commander Fox did nothing wrong" that...

Commander Fox was an enslaved man who acted as the leader of a fascist police force. He did everything in his power to do things the right way, but he was also extremely loyal and directly under the thumb of THE Darth Sidious at almost every moment. He and the majority of his force were heavily isolated from other clones on a day-to-day basis. Anakin had so much more independence and support, and even he became evil under Sidious's influence. Other clones in strictly controlled roles later chose to defect regardless of their position. We never got to see Fox's face in spite of him being one of the more significant commanders. He died quietly at the hand of Vader.

Fox's situation is beyond unprecedented. Because he's always in this oppressive environment, we never get to see who he is beneath the armor. There are no Jedi to know him on a deeper level, no people for him to fight for, no room to breathe. He has no agency, and his role is to constantly stomp on the agency of others.

Commander Fox is one of the most interesting clones we never fully get to know. Almost everyone oversimplifies who he is as a character or changes him fundamentally when using him in fan works. He deserves better from Star Wars fans and official writers alike. I will die on this hill.

This man speaks like two lines in the show and never takes his helmet off once. yet, we know so much about him 

he has a raging caf addiction

he hates his job

he hates his boss

he hates the senate

overworked + underpaid king

he has curly hair that is slightly greying on the temples

he adores cats

he would do absolutely anything for his brothers

he hasnt slept in years

he is in a committed romantic relationship with Senator Riyo Chuchi (who he has never interacted with ever)

Fox: *playing with his shoes* would it bother you if I took a nap right now?

Ventress: yes, it would.. why would you?.

Fox: Ugh, I was on the last part of a hundred hour shift.. and I’m supposed to be meeting my vode for drinks after this- it’s been too long since I’ve gotten to hang out with them, but I didn’t want to be grumpy..

Ventress: …….there is so much I’m trying to understand.. you think you’re making it out of this alive?

Fox: yes. Next question.

Ventress: oh- uh… hundred hour shift? Isn’t that like… just over four days?

Fox: *nodding* yeah, 100 continuous hours, hence why I’m tired.

Ventress:

Ventress: yeah, alright, take a nap. I’ll let you know if action comes our way.

Fox: *already flopping over* yeah, thank you.
