i like that the two genres of star wars fanart are like “hey imagine if literally nothing bad ever happened and nobody died and life was sunshine and rainbows and happiness” or “hey remember when everyone died and was sad? think about that more”

sometimes, i feel like this is why i relate so heavily with his character. i found peace and comfort in the person he evolved to be because he was so real to me, and has been from the very start.

i adore him with my whole soul, and he will always be my favorite character honestly.

I think clone wars dark side anakin is my favorite dark side anakin. because yeah, in the movies, you can tell he's gonna fall. maybe not in the phantom menace, but in attack of the clones and revenge of the sith, it's so obvious! everything about him just oozes both light and dark, the dark steadily winning. but clone wars anakin? clone wars anakin? oh, he's a sun. he's blindingly bright and he's happy. we can go full episodes without a trace of the dark side showing up on his face or in his actions, which makes when he does go dark even more jarring. when he snaps and attacks and the imperial march plays faintly in the background, when not even ten minutes earlier in the episode he was joking around with ahsoka. that is peak dark side anakin to me, because that is what i imagine anakin truly was. happy and fun and then snapping, terrifying. it's why no one believed it when he fell. why obi-wan and padme and ahsoka didn't see it coming.

Cody: *opens up a meal replacement shake and holds it up to Obi-Wan’s mouth so he can drink it, never losing eye contact*

Obi-Wan: *extremely flustered*

Mace: 😧

Cody: *finishes feeding him at least half the shake and gives him the rest of the bottle* Good Jedi, Kenobi, finish that.

Obi-Wan: 😳 yup, yes, thank you Cody, I will do that.

Cody: *walks off again*

Mace: What… what was that? And why did you take it so well?

Obi-Wan: sorry, he’s been doing that to me after longer battles and now he won’t stop because I gained back like ten pounds.

Mace: :/ hmm… I’ll tell him to keep it up, then.
