p. coryxkenshin x fem!reader established relationship, so much fluff (it's so fluffy im gonna die!!!)

You laid in the dark on your boyfriend’s bed as he recorded a video in the room over. Scrolling on reels, occasionally sending one or two to some of your friends. This was a frequent routine for you. You had a hard time falling asleep unless Cory was right by your side. So, Cory would record, and you would wait for him to finish and then you would both go to sleep. Eventually you heard his door open and he made his way downstairs. Assuming he was done recording, you got up and made your down as well. As you walked down the stairs, you heard him rummage through the pantry. “Hey, were you hungry?” You asked.

“Oh my goodness, you scared the freak outta me!” Cory jumped. You burst out laughing at his reaction. “You could’ve asked me, I would’ve made you something!” “I thought you were still asleep,” He said. “Sooo.. whatcha making?” You inquired. “Some noodles,” He replied. “And I know what y’all thinking, Cory I know you not about to make some Yakisoba noodles mid-recording. Well y’all must be new here.” You fell silent for a second, internally questioning who he was talking to. You followed his gaze before realizing he was recording. “Oh, shoot. Are you still recording..?” You asked despite knowing the answer. Cory nodded before motioning for you to come closer. “Yeah, come say hey” You shyly creeped into frame, waving at the camera. “Hey, samurai! I’m not really the most camera-ready right now, I kind of just got out of bed.” You mumbled. 

Cory began to fix the noodles as you watched closely. “Here,” Cory handed you the dry vegetable mixture and you emptied it in as he recorded. “Now we need some water,” You made your way to the sink, then placed the plastic bowl into the microwave before starting it. 

“Alright, while that’s cooking, let’s talk about something important,” Cory said, leaning toward the camera with his signature exaggerated seriousness. You stifled a laugh as he continued, “Do you prefer your Yakisoba with shrimp or chicken? Because let me tell you, this is a highly debated topic in our household.”

You chimed in, “Um, I think it depends on the day! Some days I need the protein of chicken, other days, it’s all about the shrimp vibe.”

He grinned, clearly pleased with your contribution. “So, we have a diplomat in the relationship, apparently! I like that,” he said, gesturing dramatically. The playful banter was classic Cory, but it also felt like a comforting routine that signified the bond between you two. “Y’all hear that? We’re all about balance in this house,” he continued. “I’m not saying I’m a culinary genius or anything, but if I can whip up a noodle dish with random pantry ingredients, I’m basically Gordon Ramsay.”

Your laughter echoed through the small kitchen. As the microwave beeped, you took it as your cue to grab the bowl. “Okay, noodles are done. And remember, you were the one who wanted a midnight snack. What do I get for helping?” You raised an eyebrow, attempting to sound serious while keeping a grin on your lips. Cory feigned contemplation. “Hmm, how about my eternal gratitude? Maybe a permanent spot as my co-host for nights like this?” He looked at you warmly, and your heart swelled at the affection in his eyes.

“Maybe,” you returned the same fake contemplation. “That sounds really good actually,” You giggled a bit. “You heard it hear folks, Mrs. Kenshin will be co-hosting cooking with Kenshin!” 

“Maybe we should start calling it ‘Cooking with the Kenshins”
