We’re accepting submissions for solo exhibitions for the upcoming season beginning September 2024. Artists of all skill levels are encouraged to apply.

We’re looking for paintings, sketches, mixed media, digital art is OK as long as it looks analog. We are not accepting photography, game style 3D art, AI generated images. Absolutely no NFTs.

More info can be found on the website, including the application forms. There is no costs for showing at our gallery, period. If you want to sell your art through the gallery, we take a 50% commission. You are not obligated to sell, your art can be NFS.

THEME- According to Webster Dictionary, the definition of landscape is: “Land´scape n. 1. A portion of land or territory which the eye can comprehend in a single view, including all the objects it contains. 2. A picture representing a scene by land or sea, actual or fancied, the chief subject being the general aspect of nature, as fields, hills, forests, water, etc. 3. The pictorial aspect of a country." It can be expressed many ways and we look forward to seeing your interpretation. PAY IT FORWARD- We will be donating 10% of all entry fees from this show to the Global Food Initiative. GFI assists hungry people in developing food security. GFI has raised over $8,000,000 for community development projects in numerous countries around the globe. Colors of Humanity Art Gallery, LLC is not affiliated with the Global Food Initiative. ELIGIBILITY- All artists 18 and over may enter. JUDGING CRITERIA- Originality, interpretation, quality, demonstration of ability, and usage of medium. JUROR- Janelle Cogan Entry. JOIN THE SIGNAL!

The Signal is looking for writers, photographers, graphic designers, social media managers and business managers. We welcome all students who are interested, regardless of their experience level. 

If you are a frequent reader of our newspaper, you will know that we cover a lot of different topics, ranging from on-campus news and sports to national and international headlines to movie and TV reviews — and that’s only scratching the surface! We also have many people who work to create graphics, take photographs and manage our social media and finances. 

Some work may include:

Taking photos of buildings, people, and other scenes around campus

Attending and writing about art department events, such as the TCNJ Art Gallery, student and faculty presentations, etc.

Writing a feature story on a locally-based artist 

Visiting and reviewing a local art museum or art gallery

Creating eye-catching graphics for our social media platforms

Assisting in the production of video content, including filming and editing

Having work published in a professional student media outlet is a great way to build experience for future internships and jobs! Additionally, we have previously worked with students and classes to collaborate on projects, Honors by Contracts, and more. 

Attend one of our weekly meetings every Wednesday in our office in AIMM 227. Please see the attached meeting time schedule and encourage students to attend as many different meetings as they’d like! If any students are unable to attend the meeting(s), they can still get involved by emailing signal@tcnj.edu.
