Making Paper Crafts with Chocoberry’s Jihyo

Yunmi: Hello everyone! It’s nice to see a lot of you here. Since it’s been a while since I last did an art stream, I decided to enlist the help of my friend Jihyo of Chocoberry. [reading comments] yah. say hi to everyone. Like an idol.

Jihyo: Like an idol? [laughs] You mean this? Make it sweet, hello. I am Chocoberry’s Jihyo. I’ll be hanging out today as you can see,  I was dragged here by Yunmi. [laughs]

Yunmi: We’re making paper flowers today and give it to ourselves [Jihyo laughs]. Anyway, how’s everyone? I hope you’re keeping yourselves healthy. It’s getting a bit chilly as we’re almost nearing Fall.

Jihyo: [reading comments] oh. YunmiUltFan-nim is asking about your hairstyle. [looks at Yunmi] Was it last week when you had it cut?

Yunmi: Yes. So remember when I said that I’d cut my hair due to coloring damage? So I’m back to Short Hair [Jihyo singing <Short Hair> in the background, Yunmi reading comments] I don’t have any projects scheduled yet. Chocoberry is wrapping up their comeback promotions right?

Jihyo: Yeah. We’ll be having our goodbye stage next week. Then we’ll have a break while UNBeat-sunbaenim prepares for their comeback [laughs] a tag out basically.

Yunmi: That’s right! They already released the teasers. Minnie, has anyone seen them? I’m so excited for their new song. I always say this every time they release a new song but they’re so talented! I love their title track but I’m drawn to their b-sides.

Jihyo: [gasp] wait. You already heard the full album? That’s so unfair. I asked Jaehyun-oppa about it and he would only tell me to wait until release date. [stares at camera, glaring playfully] How come Yunmi gets preferential treatment? I feel betrayed. Unless you used your seniority card [laughs]

Yunmi: [laughs] yah. Do you really believe that’ll work with him? I asked Seojoon about it and he let me listen in. Anyway, you can definitely look forward to their new album.

Jihyo: [reading comments] they’re asking if you plan on releasing any new music this year. Everything is pretty was released before your musical right?

Yunmi: Mhmm. The song was originally an OST for “Smile, Kim Yeonhee” so it was recorded way earlier then it climbed the charts, so we had to kind of re-release the song with a music video. [laughs] As for new music, I’m working on it but we’ll see. I don’t want to rush an album and release it halfheartedly. Besides, we have that soon.

Jihyo: Oh yeah. Do they already have a date when they’ll release-..oops. I shouldn’t talk about it here [laughs] Look forward to it everyone [winks at the camera, laughs]

Winterfest Celebration with Jaehyun, Alex, and Jihyo

It’s time for the yearly party of our group! Lately, it’s been getting harder and harder for the 4 of us to meet up so our tradition of celebrating Winterfest together became all the more special. We’ve all been working on our individual crafts: Jihyo is actively promoting her group Chocoberry; Jaehyun with his modeling and performances with UNBeat; Alex, although he hasn’t officially debuted, is also participating in the new SMC survival program. I’ve also just recently wrapped up promotions with UNBeat’s Jiwon for <Everything is Pretty> and am preparing for another project.

Dance party with Chocoberry

I would like to introduce the members of Chocoberry more, and what better way than to ask them to have a dance party with me on my live! They’re such beautiful and fun people to have around. 

At first, we just decided to play random songs and dance along without thinking much. But when we all heard THE song play, we automatically had to do the choreography. If you’re a trainee of Polaris, there a song that all trainees must practice and perfect for the dance lessons. I lost count how many times I’ve had to dance and listen to it and I’m sure Chocoberry and any other trainee here would say the same.

DJ: It hasn’t been long since we last saw Yunmi and you’re already back with a new song. Is this a unit debut or a collaboration? Has this been in the works for a long time?

Yunmi: Yes. I’m back with a unit debut with my friend and labelmate Chocoberry’s Jihyo. 

Jihyo: It hasn’t been that long but we have been talking about releasing a song together after we both debuted. Preparation took a bit longer than expected since we just had a Eclipse debut a few months back.

DJ: Your single is called Enemy. What’s it about?

Yunmi: Ah yes. Enemy is a song that talks about the relationship with a lover that turned cold. There’s this part [sings] You make it so hard on me. To me who loved, you are enemy.

DJ: Oh a preview [claps]

Yunmi: [laughs] that part in particular highlights how one could be sweet then in the course of the relationship they turned indifferent towards one another. 

Jihyo: It’s like declaring them as an enemy after being hurt.

Happy Winterfest from Yunmi x Jaehyun x Jihyo x Alex!

We’re now all adults so for the first time, we decided to meet up outside of the company building. There’s also some alcohol now which is also new for our group. The most important change to note compared to last year is now we’re at 3/4! It has been decided that Jihyo will debut early next year, along with 3 other girls. Live! Let’s listen to music with Yunmi

Hello Minnie! It’s been a while since I did a live. How’s everyone doing? It’s a bit late so everyone must have had their dinner already right?

[chat: Have you eaten dinner yet?]

I ate before I went live. I had chicken salad tonight. I’ve been dieting since last month so that’s all I can really have. [laughs]

[chat: Diet? Does this mean we’ll have a comeback soon?!]

[chat: Yunmi is hiding her hair. comeback confirmed]

[reading chat then laughs] I cannot comment on that. Anyway, tonight we’ll be listening to some songs that I currently listen to. For the first song, it’s a b-side from Chocoberry’s 3rd mini album. It’s called <Heart for 2> and it’s a ballad which is quite the contrast from their usual upbeat songs. [plays the song] There’s a lot of gems from Chocoberry’s b-sides. It’s a shame that their kept hidden within the albums.

[chat: I got into Chocoberry due to Yunmi’s posts with Jihyo. I’ve never been the same since.]

[chat: Have you hear Eclipse’s comeback album?]

Eclipse? Of course! They’re my juniors so of course I’d be supporting them. I was actually going to play songs from their debut single Prologue and their comeback single The Beginning. I really love the title tracks for both of them. Prologue’s <Warrior> and The Beginning’s <Power>. We’ll listen to them both back to back. [plays the songs]
