People talk about the worst fighting games, and they're either complete dogshit or ClayFighter 63⅓, which would be a certified classic if it didn't have a racial stereotype that's horrible even for 1997 standards

My bodies telling me ki1
But my mind is telling me clayfighters 63^1/2
Can I have both
Killer Instinct 1
F
I'm not gonna hold y'all... Killer Instinct was kinda fugly back in the day, and that extends to the character select, and it's not bias due to its age cause there are character select screens that are OLDER than this that I think are better. The music is the only thing it has going for it but every KI game has good music, so...
Clayfighter 63 1/3
C
I'm tempted to give it a D but this is some very good visual clarity. Just wish the background wasn't so dark. I can definitely imagine playing this on a CRT back in the day and all the colors in the BG just blending in. It helps the characters pop but I think it could have been done better.

Honestly, my favorite era of 3D graphics is the N64. The slightly blurry textures and the angular environments presented a wonderfully surreal experience. Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie are some of my favorite N64 games as much for the environments as the actual game (in a way that Yooka-Laylee, with its PS4-level graphics, couldn't quite replicate), but most N64 games give me that feeling of there being More Than What We See, even ostensibly 2D games like Clayfighter 63 1/3.
when i say 'i want worse graphics', some ppl assume i mean 'i want stylyzed instead of realistic' then get mad at me for saying it wrong (???) so let me be clear:
i want worse graphics. i want the models topology to be a bit off, i want the rigging to have a few verts mis-weighted, i want the final model to not be accurate to the concept art cuz it would have been too labor intensive to make the scarf that long. i want the shading to do the thing where a real time character shadow is casting on top of another baked in shadow. i want whatever eases the devs workload and prevents crunch so they can go home to their loved ones and actually enjoy their life outside of work
and im not kidding

Category/Daves
All currently known Daves.
Of The Webspace
Every Dave listed here, except for 82, is/was a member of THRIVE. There, now I don't have to explain it for the rest!
Dave 1 🪛 (Fun Algebra Class/The Future Is Here hybrid)
The first to arrive. Prefers being called "1". His player's name was Felix. Became a DFAC+TFIH hybrid, and thus is a cyborg (with the addition of telekinesis). An expert of code and programming, and used to be The Webspace's machine language interpreter. Invented many gadgets, including the House Cube and the Teleportation Sphere. Took on the role of watching over his fellow Daves. Suffered from a condition he coined the "Unchecked", following a disagreement with his then close friend, Viktor. Founded the THRIVE Initiative. Eventually took over The Webspace, then later was slain by Viktor by forceful request after his realization that he himself became Unchecked. Is in full control of his THRIVE mode, and his screwdriver can become a backsword. Is currently alive, but in prison.
Dave 2 (Fun Algebra Class)
Self-described as ordinary in every way. The most typical Dave you could meet, apparently. Felt that he could never live up to 1's accomplishments or reputation, and was nervous about him knowing about what was said during the interview. Was assigned to the orchestra. Can play the bass.
Dave 24 (Unknown)
Roxy forgot to explain what game he's from, let alone his role in THRIVE or even his thoughts on it. Literally only mentioned in chapter 10 and nowhere else. (I'm so sorry 24...)
Dave 35 (Fun Algebra Class)
In hindsight, found THRIVE very sus. Was assigned to the confetti throwers, and took it seriously.
Dave 46 🔨 (House)
An "assertive" variation of a House Dave. Doesn't get along with 77. Has a Sapphire Man as opposed to a Ruby. Not fond of cowards or cheaters. Worked for Baldina as her school's algebra teacher. Made friends with Denied, but doesn't like anchovies. Was the only one "brave enough" to try and help Aldurra get unstuck from 1's school's fence. Forgives 82 for stepping on his face during the Gathering, even believing that he and the others should've "followed his example", as he's "the most different Dave there is"; and thus 46 completely regrets joining THRIVE to begin with. Lead the combat training before the coup. Was assigned to the soldier section, with a sledgehammer. Took two tranq darts to knock unconscious, while the rest only required one.
Dave 51 (Unknown)
Roxy forgot to explain what game he's from, let alone his role in THRIVE or even his thoughts on it. Literally only mentioned in chapter 10 and nowhere else. (Sorry to you too 51...)
Dave 56 (The Future Is Here)
A bit proud of being an authentic TFIH. Along with other Future Daves, was worried about Silver's whereabouts. Confirmed that the THRIVE pendants indeed had hidden mechanisms for listening in on the wearers. It's not known where he was assigned during the coup.
Dave 57 (Sky High Adventure)
Is self-aware of the fact that Daves cannot be taken seriously or be scary. Made Erie laugh. Was assigned to the confetti cleanup, finding it more productive than holding banners/flags.
Dave 63 (Unknown)
Roxy forgot to explain what game he's from, let alone his role in THRIVE or even his thoughts on it. Literally only mentioned in chapter 10 and nowhere else. (All I remember is that 63 just references ClayFighter 63 1/3 and that's it...)
Dave 68 (Fun Algebra Class)
Embarrassed to have been a part of THRIVE, even going so far as to think that the golden ratio was disturbed as a result of overthrowing Viktor. Is scared of 1 hurting him like he did Denied. Was assigned to the confetti throwers, just wanting to join into it.
Dave 77 🩹 (House)
A "passive" variant of a House Dave. Doesn't get along with 46. Part of the Repdigit Trio, consisting of 88 and 99. Believes every Dave is unique. Whilst in THRIVE, got his Ruby Man involved until he ran away from home. He did return, and all was well, even taking in 99's Golden Man. Was told "THE MASKS ARE INSIDE THE WALLS", that the two minerals learned when searching for Silver. Melted down his pendant in anger when he learned about its microphone feature. Was assigned to the orchestra. Can play the keytar.
Dave 82 🧰 (Fun Algebra Class)
The only Dave to have arrived as a rogue, and had a bit of a checkered past. His player's name is Kelly. Is/was a call-in repair technician under Viktor. Is in a romantic relationship with, and then married, Billy. Reunited with his Diamond Man, then later Spike and eventually the rest of his cast. Was asked to spy on the Gathering for Viktor, resulting in memory loss of the entire event. Turned himself, his mind, and his house into self-replicating nanites. Was possessed by Alex to burn down Billy's house. Lost half of his bodily nanites to the demon during the final confrontation against him, but has since recovered. His Tutor and Angry merge didn't go correctly, leading to both halves still existing simultaneously, with Angry being in charge. Cannot yet control his FLOURISH mode, and his main weapon is a wrench, but can use other tools.
Dave 88 ☁️ (Sky High Adventure)
Easy to excite, and likes versatility. Might like ravioli almost as much as pizza (more than would be blasphemous, probably), but is still exploring his options. Looks back on THRIVE with some confliction as some events, such as parties, were good moments. Found the combat training brutal. Was assigned to the soldier section.
Dave 99 💤 (Dream)
Like "a few others" of his game type, speaks slower than the norm. Always looks/sounds tired, but is just as observant as his peers. Could easily tell that 82 wanted nothing to do with him and the Repdigit Trio. Found it strange that he would flee the Gathering, for 1 to follow him, and for 1 to return by himself, since his assumption that he simply let 82 go home was likely incorrect. His time in THRIVE led to neglect, causing his Golden Man to run away, but he knows that he is currently safe at 77's house. Was assigned to the soldier section.
Dave 101 (The Future Is Here Fun Algebra Class)
Wished he could "go back" to being a DFAC, like how 1 "went forward" as a TFIH, as he doesn't think the future is "so great"; eventually his copy got the chance to do just that. Convinced that if Viktor and 1 were disarmed and put in a room together, they could've made amends. Was assigned to the confetti cleanup, finding it more productive than holding banners/flags.
Dave 110 🎙️ (Fun Algebra Class)
Is able to remain calm even in tough or stressful situations. Was THRIVE's doorbell receptionist, and is aware that his position was not envied. Believes that although the Initiative shouldn't have happened, one can't just "chain yourself down with the 'what if's", instead to keep moving and learn from mistakes. It's not known where he was assigned in the coup.
Dave 119 🌱 (Fun Algebra Class)
A bit airheaded. Was THRIVE's recruitment messenger. Thought of 1 as the "Ultimate Dave", who still had problems despite that. Made friends with Denied, and even took him to Candice's school after 1 left him to die. Visited regularly until he woke up. Is cautious of Billy. Was assigned to the orchestra. Can play the bass.
Dave 134 (Fun Algebra Class)
The newest Dave of The Webspace, but even after two months, sometimes pretends to be ignorant. In fact, post-THRIVE, he even acts like he has no idea who 1 is. However, he does admit that he wishes someone had told him that the whole Initiative was "bad news", as it would've "saved him so much trouble". Offered to help fix things. It's not known where he was assigned in the coup.
Elsewhere on the Internet
There's only one that's currently been documented, but they're countless in amount. 1 noted that he's seen them. He speculated that if his reach was as far as the Internet itself, The Webspace would have at least twice as many Daves than there are currently.
"Chainsaw Dave" (Fun Algebra Class)
Was described as ambitious, lived in a different website that's not yet known. Succumbed to becoming Unchecked, took over the place, and ruled it like a tyrant. His copy's Error/Cell rebelled against and killed him. The reason he's being referred to as "Chainsaw Dave" is due to his weapon of choice - as he was in full control of his FLOURISH mode, his regular saw could transform into a chainsaw.
