#Color Me Mine

I went ceramics painting with a couple of friends about out a month ago, but due to circumstances / travel / etc I didn’t get my mug back until yesterday. (One of my friends was kind enough to collect mine for me from the store after it was fired so I didn’t lose it)

I think it may design out pretty well, except for the dandelion. I used too dark a glaze. Oh well. Considering I’ve only been to a paint your own ceramics once before and that was a decade ago, I think it came out pretty well ^.^

I forgot to take a picture of the whole thing before I made tea in it, but the large mug I painted for my birthday came out sooooo cute :3

So it hasn't been fired yet. But today I FINALLY finished the paint job on my Bucky Barnes mug (to complement the utterly perfect Peggy mug @directorsnarrative made me in 2015). I copied some Chris Samnee doodles, colored them, and spent way too much time putting 4 coats of paint on this sucker.

I wanted something more reminiscent of comics!Bucky, partly because I have an official mug with Sebastian Stan on it already and partly because I'd rather reference some books I know are good than risk the baggage of whatever the MCU is going to do to the character next.

Also, I went with his name rather than a quote because my favorite comics!Bucky quote didn't fit. ("Well...I'm alive...EXACTLY according to my half-assed plan...". I also like "That trick never works," but out of context it's not clear "that trick" is dying.)
