The next morning, y/n was sat at the table in the bunkhouse, bowl of cereal in front of her as she watched Colby mix himself some smoothie concoction she didn’t understand.  The rest of the hands sat around the table with her making quiet conversation as they all began to liven up in preparation for the day.

“Surprised we didn’t hear anything from you lovebirds last night,” teased Jake who was met with a glare.

Y/n pointed her spoon threateningly at him, “just because I’ve spent the last 8 years in the company of you heathens doesn’t mean I don’t still have some class.”

“Is that so?” He questioned.

She nodded, “that and if I wanted to do that I have a much bigger bed in the house not surrounded by snoring ranch hands.”

“I can confirm it’s comfy as fuck and y’all should be jealous,” Ryan added smugly.

Y/n pulled a face at him, “please never suggest that these… boys… should ever be jealous of you being in bed with me.”

“I second that,” Lloyd voiced from his position next to the coffee machine, “I can only threaten one of you at a time.”

She rolled her eyes, “between you, Rip and my brothers it’s no wonder I waited so long for him to make a move.”

“Lloyd was the first one to threaten me,” Ryan admitted.

Y/n’s eyes widened, “old man I didn’t know you had it in you.  I’m impressed.”

Conversation faded out as the door to the bunkhouse opened and Rip came in to start their day.  His gaze fell on where Ryan’s arm rested on the back of y/n’s chair.  She stood up quickly, making an excuse about wanting to work one of the colts before Travis arrived later that morning.  Rip chose to comment on the fact that she’d already told him the young horses were having the day off.  

He caught her by the arm as she went to leave, “we’ll talk about this later.”

After finishing the morning work in the barn, y/n led Comanche out to where Jake was watching Jimmy tack his horse up.

“Thought you weren’t coming out to the herd today?” He asked upon seeing that the gelding was tacked up.

She nodded and passed the reins across, “Dad wants me to run an eye over Travis’ prospects and seeing how Dandy is off and I don’t think either of us are comfortable with the starters going out yet I figured you could run him for me today.  Besides he could do with being ridden by someone else once in a while.”

“I’ll look after him for ya,” Jake assured taking the reins, “pick us a good one.”

Y/n laughed, “if Jamie has anything to say about it we won’t be getting anything.” 

With the rest of the hands mounted up, y/n watched them ride out then turned to find a way to avoid Rip for as long as possible.  Her solution was the stall Dandy was chilling in for a few days whilst the stone bruise in her hoof healed.  Swinging by the tack room for her grooming bag, y/n spent the next hour giving the dappled mare a head-to-toe pamper.

After a while, she was pulled out of her routine by the sound of trucks coming down the drive followed by a truck horn.  Y/n groaned, knowing that Travis had just announced his arrival to the ranch meaning that Rip, Jamie and her dad would be expecting her outside shortly.  Patting the mare’s neck, she collected her stuff and exited the barn.

Standing in the driveway outside the barn, leaning against his truck watching his prospects being unloaded from the trailer, was Travis Wheately.  During her time on the circuit nearly a decade ago, y/n had become familiar with the horse trainer, although perhaps not as close as he had wanted them to be.

“Looking as gorgeous as ever y/n,” he greeted her.

She rolled her eyes, “it hasn’t worked for 10 years.  I don’t know why you still try.”

“It’s in my blood darlin’” Travis joked, “your dad around yet?”

Y/n shook her head, “he’ll be down shortly with Jamie who’ll no doubt spoil all my fun.”

“You know if you ever want to try your hand as a reiner, just say the word and I’ll make something happen.”

She smiled at him, “you know one of these days if the ranch ever doesn’t need me I might just take you up on that offer but I’m quite happy where I am right now.”

“Your talent is wasted being a ranch hand,” Travis responded, “least you can do is talk your dad into making good choices.”

Y/n laughed, “if it were up to me this wouldn’t even be a conversation.  We’d get a good one to prove but unfortunately Jamie has to be involved.  And apparently he thinks he knows best when it comes to this.  God knows the last time he worked a horse.”

“Maybe between you and Rip you’ll win out,” he offered.

Okay very serious post time

TW: school shooting, Apalachee HS shooting

I live and go to achool an hour away from Apalachee. The shock and fear that one experiences when you find out a school an hour away has a shooting is so indescribable to anyone who hasn't experienced it. Today my school has our normal security officer and THREE others, a state trooper, a sheriff, and another who I can't read the car of.

I, a 16 year old, shouldn't have to go to school thinking "what if today's the day?" I should not have to have a plan for every room and every section of my school for if (inevitably, when) something happens. CHILDREN shouldn't have to worry about this. We deserve to be protected. Metal detectors help a little bit, but it's far too easy to slip things past.

At Apalachee two teachers, Richard Aspinwall and Christina Irimie, both of which who had families, were killed. Two students, Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo, both of which were 14, were also killed. By a 14 year old with an AR-style gun. Colt Gray had access to this weapon through his father, who claimed Colt "did not have unsupervised access to his hunting guns." Colt Gray has been on an FBI watchlist since last year in suspected relation to school shooting threats and social media posts about guns, but they didn't have enough evidence to arrest him. Now 4 people are dead and another 9 are injured, one of which had to be airlifted to Atlanta (Taylor unknown-lastname). David Phoenix (sh0t in the hip and foot according to his daughter) was also injured. All 9 are expected to survive thankfully. (the other 8 victims names haven't been disclosed as they were all students and therefore, minors)

WHEN are the adults who run this godforsaken country going to ACTUALLY do something about this? School started a fucking MONTH ago and there's already been one school shooting with major coverage and who knows how many others.

My mom said to me last night "And I though, at least she only has about a year and a half left, and then I was like nope these things happen at colleges too." I had so many people ask me if I was alright. I'm lucky enough to have never been in a county eith an active shooter but what about those who are? Apalachee has a student population of around 1910, plus their staff. Those are 1910+ families who will never be the same. 1910+ people who will never be the same.

I've seen so many posts of ELEMENTARY SCHOOL teachers talking about how their students told them "they wanted the light up shoes but couldn't get them just in case we have to hide" or something along that line. LITERAL CHILDREN. Everyday my little sisters go to school and I worry about them too. They are 9 and 4.

Protect our children.

Protect us.

Please.

Talk about the victims. Talk about the injured victims. Don't give all the attention to Gray. They had families too.

Striker's Story - A Helluva AU

Pairing: Striker and OC Amelda(adoptive father/daughter relationship) Warnings: angst, whump, hurt-comfort, injury, blood, harsh language, death, gore, killing in self-defense, graphic depictions of violence. Summary: It's over. It's finally over. Now it's time to rebuild.

It's in the seventh year of the Angel Invasion when it was finally over.

They stayed in the human world for almost a year and it was a bit complicated.

They constantly had to be in their human disguises and make sure they didn't get nosy neighbors.

Then a bombshell hit.

Fizz was pregnant.

Pregnant with the baby of a deadly sin.

So after a bit of hysteria, he was constantly monitored and everyone felt the tension of his upcoming birth.

When Fizz went into labor, Striker was tasked with keeping the kids occupied; Blitz wouldn't leave Fizz's side and Millie's mother was going to be the midwife. Via and Loona soundproof the place, hoping his screams would be deadened.

Finally, after a strenuous 8 hours, Fizz's daughter was born.

A hybrid he named Jezzie; she had Asmodeus’ blue fur but Fizz’s imp horns and beak. Amelda and her friends were very curious about their newest member, crowding and oohing about the baby.

It was 2 hours later when they got the call.

The war is over.

The angels retreated back to heaven.

They could all go home.

Striker thought it was a trick at first, but then Stolas himself came and told them that it was safe again. Everyone cheered, himself included, giving Amelda a big bear hug.

It was finally over.

When they went back, the sins were already at their rings, rebuilding bit by bit. Fizz wept as he held his own lover, showing their daughter to him the first time. Striker saw Colt and Murphy were still alive, giving them both a manly hug. He was so happy to see his friends survived.

 Later, Striker got called to the office of the King of Hell and was told to bring Amelda with him. It seems Stolas told him about their situation.

Lucifer was...surprising.

He expected him to be taller or more menacing; but he just looked like a handsome human. He didn't look like someone who he found out later, literally flew to heaven and broke down the golden gates, demanding for the fighting to stop.

Then he told him who he was and the room shifted.

Suddenly, Lucifer looked furious and his smile changed to a malicious one. It was as though the gravity of the room felt heavier, making Amelda fearfully hoot from behind Striker as he simultaneously felt the urge to vomit from being startled so fiercely.

“You do realize that I can kill you for what you did before.”

Striker only nodded, too afraid to speak.

“But Stolas vouched for you, and so did his fiance.” Lucifer said, sitting back in his chair, easing up with the frightening influence he inflicted upon the environment just then. “I understand you want to adopt this child.”

Striker begins to express agreement, but before he could speak Lucifer put his hand up.

“But, I need to ask her if that's what she wants. Ars Goetia are pretty strict with all this paperwork.”

Lucifer looked over the owlet and asked if she wanted to stay with Striker or to go to her Goetia family.

It was a big fat no to the royals.

She saw how none of them came to their aid, except for Stolas, Vassago and Via. She wanted nothing from them.

Striker was proud of his little girl.

So just a few days later, he got the paperwork that Amelda was officially adopted by him.

Lucifer then asked Striker what he wanted, since he helped so much in the Lust battle and in Wrath.

His old self would have asked for money and riches beyond his wildest dreams.

But after 7 years, he just wants to rest.

So he asked for a farm and land in Wrath.

And that's exactly what he got.

During the time they were getting settled, a lot of events happened.

Fizz and Ozzie got married.

It was the event of the century, it was televised to all the rings and was talked about for weeks. To many demons, it was a sign of a rebuilt and safe Hell, whatever that means.

Even though he was invited, Striker didn't want to go, but Amelda insisted to be there for Oliver, who was now a teenager and officially adopted by the couple.

The wedding was more like a big party, with it ending with Ozzie saying Fizz would be his queen of the Lust Ring.

He watched as Fizz and Ozzie in their wedding suits, holding Oliver and Jezzie in their arms, looking deliriously happy.

Good for them.

Blitz bet they will have their next one in less then a year.

Speaking of which, Blitz and Stolas' wedding was very low key compared to theirs.

It was a small group of friends, family and allies in Stolas garden, their hands binding with a red cloth, showing their devotion together.

Blitz would be considered Stolas consort, but that was fine with him. He told Striker that just means both his spy network and assassin job can work better, you can learn a lot from people when they treat you like you are invisible.

Blitz said he has his number on speed dial if he needs a job.

Striker thanked him for that.

Striker let out a breath of air as he walked onto his porch, taking in his new land; seeing Millie's family farm several yards away. He heard Moxxie is going to help out, needing a break from assassination work.

He looked to the side, seeing his daughter petting their horses that miraculously survived.

7 years ago, his younger self would have snarled at him and called him weak for accepting this modest bullshit and taking in a Goetia half-ling.

But after all these years of fighting, this is good enough.

He sighs as he sits in the rocking chair Amelda insisted they needed and put his feet up, pulling his hat over his eyes.

More than good enough.

UPDATE: he has the strength of a wendigo because he injected himself with a wendigos blood, it gave him super strength and poison resistance. Also him and Lizzy are now actually lovers.

super strength (can lift 85 tons), super hearing, very tiny bullet resistance (Bullets up to revolver arent as fatal to him but still could kill him), sort of better healing factor because he can heal bigger gashes faster but no limb stuff, a lot more adrenaline so he can take some blows, big leap ability, can’t get addicted to anything like smoking or alcohol.. still it’s bad for his organs (smoking - lungs, alcohol - liver), a bit enhanced reflexes but they ain’t perfect.

“If the way that imwan was speaking last night is any indication, nothing we will like.” Shaak is almost growling, lekku twitching in her displeasure. 

“Quite,” Obi-Wan agrees. “We really must send someone out to formally close the contract, if nothing else.”

“Close the contract?” Alarm blares, even Fluke’s distracted presence sharpening into fear. “But– there’s still–” Colt cuts off when 17 claps a hand over his mouth. Silence reigns.

“There’s still what, Commanders?” Nothing. Shuffling feet.

“There are more of your vod’e, left behind?” Plo deduces, gently. Wide eyes find him. 

“They’re just cadets.” Cody is pleading. “And– and the tubies. You can’t–” He cuts off, abruptly, as 17’s scowl deepens.

“They can,” 17 reprimands, all steel and sadness. 

“Tubies?” Kit repeats, mystified.

“Children.” Despite xir family’s best efforts, the last Pasithean has seen the inside of enough disreputable laboratories to draw xir own conclusions. “Babies, still in the “tube”.” Once again, she shifts, awkwardly, under the clones’ stares.

“In that case, I suggest we send Tavi,” Adi nominates, immediately. The clones don’t look convinced. Kit makes a noise of offence.

“What about me? I’m amphibious too!” 

“Yes, but Tavi is prodigiously talented at covert operations, Kit,” Eeth teases, meaningfully. “And if we’re going to scout the place and, if needed, evacuate the children without the Kaminoans knowing, I’m not sure an 8 foot tall Nautolan quite fits the bill.” Kit pouts, but slumps back without further protest. 

“Well, we do technically have to send an official delegate anyway,” Tavi points out, patting the Nautolan’s hand sympathetically. “Kit could do that. He makes a good distraction.” He perks up, eyes flashing with mischief. Mace sighs, heavily.

“...Very well. Commanders, you and your men must be familiar with the facilities on Kamino?” The clones nod, warily. “Do any of you have stealth training? We can’t risk sending too many without drawing the Senate’s attention, but if this is going to become an evacuation mission, your knowledge of the facility and familiarity to the children still there would be invaluable.”

“We’re all stealth-trained, sir,” Cody assures, some of the careful optimism they’d won with their offer of freedom returning to his eyes. 

“Would you mind putting together a small squad to accompany Tavi on Kamino?” Depa requests, “No more than three. And, perhaps, one Commander who might accompany Kit?” 

“If none of you are comfortable returning, I am sure Kit and I can make do,” Tavi assures, with a wicked grin up at the Nautolan whose lap she’s still curled up in. Obi-Wan and Plo exchange a wary glance.

“We’ll arrange a squad, sirs!” Colt promises, eagerly. “When will you want to leave?”

“We will be hosting mourning rituals for those lost on Geonosis tomorrow,” Shaak muses, thoughtfully–

“Invited you are. All of your vod’e,” Yoda interjects, at that, leaning forward in his seat. “Momentos of your lost you may bring. Holos, belongings, similar. Alongside our own we will honour them, if you wish.” 

“–and we will need some time to arrange accommodations for everyone,” Shaak finishes, shooting a quelling look at the Grandmaster. “But it will not do to delay too long. Perhaps a week from today? Next Centaxday.” 

“We can be ready by then,” Cody nods. Then hesitates.

“Jaiehkarah Yoda was being serious,” Tavi offers, slipping to her feet as the five linger, bewildered. “If you wish to join our mourning rituals, you are welcome. If you have your own rituals to conduct, we will do our best to get you what you need for those. If you’d like more information about our ceremonies before deciding, I can explain those as we walk. If we’re done here, Padhenan?” 

“Yes, we’re done, impatient one,” Mace huffs, too fondly to avoid the cheeky grin Tavi returns to him. “Thank you for your time, Commanders. Knight Tavi will escort you back to the hangar. If you have any questions, feel free to ask her.” 

“And Tavi?” Obi-Wan’s call pauses xem in the doorway, glancing back to xir Master. “Let the men settle in before you begin roping them into your mischief, yes?” She sighs, dramatically. The clones turn to her with a mix of amusement and suspicion.

“Haj dai, Jaieh,” xie grumbles, sticking xir tongue out at him. “You all ready to go? The rest of this meeting is about to be really boring.” Fluke chuckles, earning a cuff over his head from 17, but they all follow her out anyway. 

This time of the morning, the halls of the Temple are bustling, especially with Jedai being recalled from all over the Galaxy in the wake of Geonosis and the sudden unseating of the Order’s security on Coruscant. Exhausted Knights and harried Masters offer them brief smiles as they pass. Initiates and crèchelings stop to stare, until they’re ushered on by their adults. Tavi keeps up a constant stream of quiet commentary on the goings-on, interrupted only by xir own greetings to xir fellow Jedai. 

“You’re a Jedi Knight?” 17 is the first of the troopers to speak, in the end, eyeing her appraisingly. “You don’t look like much.” 

“ Ori’vod !” Cody and Colt scold, once again, but Tavi just laughs. 

“Smaller than you expected?” xie inquires, cocking xir head. 17 snorts. 

“You look like an ik’aad.” 

“ Ori’vod !” His brothers’ scoldings are once again ignored. 

“I assure you, I am not less than three Standard years of age,” Tavi promises, serenely. “I will admit, however, that I only graduated from Padawan to Knight earlier this year, after my Master and I returned from the border dispute on Ansion.” 

“You were one of the Jedi on Ansion?” Cody blinks, then his ears burn as all his brothers turn to him. “I just– I studied the conflict in one of my last examinations. If the Kaminoans’ information was correct, just four Jedi held off over a hundred mercenaries.” 

“They weren’t very good mercenaries,” xie shrugs, “I mean… I think ba’vodu Jango would be ashamed to share the title with them. Barriss and I were only Padawans when we fought at Ansion, and Barriss was only 12.” 

“She’s still taller than you, though, Vee-vee!” Ahsoka taunts, gleefully, flinging herself into her jaibreian. “Who are your friends?” 

“Commanders, this is my Padawan-sister, Ahsoka,” Tavi introduces, swatting at xir sister’s face with xir ahwey as she pulls xem into her. “She’s Master Obi-Wan’s new Padawan. Ahsoka, these are Commanders Cody, Colt, Fluke, Iron, and 17. We were just on our way back to the hangars. Unless– oh!” The clones all eye her, warily, as she jolts in place.

“Sorry, I completely forgot. Did you want to know more about our mourning rituals? If my explanation sucks, I can take you to the Halls to demonstrate, if you’d like, or I can fetch some datafiles for you from the Archives, if that’s easier.” 

“Ahsoka! Jaieh Sinube says if you’re not in Lower Levels Analysis in the next five minutes he’s going to forbid Jaieh Obi-Wan from taking you on Underworld missions!” Barriss calls, rounding the corner. “Oh, hi Tavi, troopers!” 

“Commanders, this is Barriss Offee, the Padawan I fought alongside on Ansion. Barriss, these are Commanders Cody, Colt, Fluke, Iron, and 17.” Tavi squeezes the young Padawan in a quick hug, then nudges Ahsoka in the side. “Socks, you better get to class. Jaieh Sinube does not joke about his Lower Levels classes – I learned that the hard way.” 

“The hard way?” Ahsoka inquires, curiously. 

“The eighteen page essay on Black Sun holdings in the Southern Underground way,” Tavi clarifies, and both girls’ eyes go wide. “Better get going!” They take off the way they had come in a tangle of limbs and robes, leaving Tavi and the Commanders chuckling behind them. 

“Cadets are cadets anywhere you go, huh?” Colt grins, dry and amused. 17 snorts. 

“At least those two weren’t as feral as you lot when you were cadets,” he jibes, elbowing a quickly-flushing Cody. 

“Oh, I don’t know, Commander. That was them on good behaviour,” Tavi laughs, straightening out her robes. “Now, where were we? Oh! Yes, did you want a tour? I can at least show you the refectory we’ve set aside for you all. The Temple can be… tricky, to navigate without the Force, so it’s the closest one to the hangar.”

I was playing World Tour and for some reason I never really put too much thought into my Avatar's voice, and who the ENG VA was.

And it got me thinking about the other Avatar's voices that made an appearance, and who they were. Surprisingly, I have heard the Eng VAs in different medias before.

Hopefully, this can help people hear what their OCs sound like, instead of hearing bits and pieces from the game.
