DUMAGUETE, NEGROS ORIENTAL -- The partial results for this year's Philippine national and local elections in Negros Oriental as of 9:54pm Monday night (May 12th, 2025 -- Dumaguete local time), based on the latest election returns after 7pm onwards from Commission on Elections-Negros Island Region (COMELEC-NIR) provincial office.
In this mid-term election... The newly-President and Vice-Presidents are excluded, leaving only 12 of the national senators, followed by a local House of Representative (Congressman), Provincial Governor & Vice-Governors, 4 members of Sangguniang Panlalawigan (known as the Prov. Board Member), Sangguniang Panlungsod (also known for Councilor), local Mayor & Vice-Mayors, and national partylists here in Dumaguete City alone.
Results came in exclusively and independently projected with AdoNewsNET for both Dumaguete City and Negros Oriental. Starting off in Dumaguete for 12 national senators are 'Bong Tesoro Go' with 42,328 votes, 'Ronald Marapon "Bato" dela Rosa' with 35,383; 'Paolo Benigno "Bam" Aquino' with 29,666; 'Erwin Teshiba Tulfo' with 24,810; 'Kiko Nepomuceno Pangilinan' with 23,834; 'Pia Schramm Cayetano' with 23,273; 'Panfilo "Ping" Morena Lacson' with 22,337; 'Rodante Dizon Marcoleta' with 22,288; 'Camille Aguilar Villar' with 21,453; 'Bienvenido "Ben" Teshiba Tulfo' with 19,371; 'Jimmy Romero Bondoc' with 18,543; 'Vicente "Tito" Castelo Sotto' with 16,825; and 'Benjamin "Benhur" de Castro Abalos wrapped out at #13 with '16,757' votes.
'Felipe Antonio Buscato Remollo' tops 35,849 votes for Congressman, 'Manuel "Chaco" Longa Sagarbarria' also scored 34,203 votes and 'Fritz Hisoler Diaz' skyrocketing to 28,096 votes for both provincial governor and vice-governors respectively. 'Woodrow Saloma Maquiling Sr.' for a provincial board member is 42,176 votes, 'Jason Lagahit' with 41,793 votes for councilor, 'Chiquiting Teves Sagarbarria' scored at 35,354 votes and 'Estanislao Veloso Alviola' with 36,494 votes for both City Mayor and Vice-Mayors respectively. Concluding off with national partylist 'Pinoy Workers' scored 17,606 votes at #1. All votes are exclusively for Dumagueteños.
Lastly in Negros Oriental go for national senators are 'Go' with 285,149 votes, Bato with 243,870; Erwin with 175,746; Bam with 170,645; Camille with 147,964; 'Manny "Pacman" Dapidran Pacquiao' with 143,884; Ben with 137,695; 'Lito Mercado Lapid' with 136,748; Marcoleta with 136,047; Cayetano with 129,607; Lacson with 124,043; Kiko with 122,829; and 'Maria Imelda "Imee" Romualdez Marcos' ends with 118,303 votes.
NegOr 1st District 'Emmanuel "MM" Josy Limkaichong Iway' with 97,819 votes, along 2nd District 'Ma. Isabel "Maisa" Longa Sagarbarria' with 125,579; and 3rd District 'Janice Vallega Degamo' with 100,613 respectively. Provincial Board Member of NegOr 1st District 'Angel Amador-Soliva' with 56,544 votes, 'Ikay Jane Villanueva' with 54,347; 'Rusty Bernus Serion' with 53,603; and 'Engr. Rico Mijares' with 49,163 votes. 'Nyrth Christian Degamo' in PBM-NegOr 2nd District with 133,127 votes, 'Erwin Michael Lopez Macias' with 112,359; 'Maquiling Sr.' with 107,195; and 'Apolinario Planto Arnaiz Jr.' with 87,515. Closing off with PBM-NegOr 3rd District 'Atty. Peter Paul "Poypoy" Renacia' with 78,524 votes, 'Marcelo "Bobot" Galicano Adanza' with 72,463; 'Carlo Degamo Remontal' with 47,678; and 'Elvis Tabangan Tinguha' with 44,836 votes.
Three individual Congressman or congresswomen in NegOr are MM-Josy with 97,819 votes for 1st District, Maisa with 127,547 for 2nd District, and Janice with 103,730 votes respectively. Same story with Dumaguete Governor and Vice-Governors naming Chaco scored 282,714 votes, Fritz also scored 221,279 votes, and partylist 'Pinoy Workers' with 115,016 votes, leaving no mayors in sight all across NegOr.
Preliminary COMELEC-NIR data reveals voter preferences in Dumaguete City and Negros Oriental, with ongoing vote tallying and awaiting official result certification in the coming days.
