Physically, not a lot has changed with my physique and I'm frustrated that I wasn't able to lose weight. At the beginning of the year, I was down 40 pounds. My thyroid decided to not work efficiently, so I gained 25 pounds and yo-yoed between 7-10 lbs off and on. I've been on synthroid for several months now, and a lot of my fatigue, fast heart rate and thyroid related symptoms got better. I had even started losing weight. Then, because of prolonged depression that I didn't know was as bad messed me up, and I'm right back where I started November of last year. It's killing me that all of my hard work got destroyed. I'm going through a lot of mental changes for the better though, so I'm grateful for them. They are MASSIVE, cataclysmic even. I regained my drive to clean and to be meticulous again. I was able to stop being prescribed my Klonopin completely, and am completely off of Neurotin. It's painful sometimes, but I feel mentally better without it. Most of the battle is me having the mental strength to be able to overcome it and to get shit done. I'm not nearly as stressed. My passion is coming back in a big way. I learned to love myself at the weight I am. That's so important. That confidence and self love will drive me to more efficiently care for my body and shed weight too. I also learned to accept things as they are and not so much on what they could be. You have to be happy in the now, and it can be helped along the way. I feel like a different person, and I'm so happy. I will lose the weight, I'm already starting to modify my diet and activity level. Depression made me not really care as much as I should have. It effected everything. My gumption and drive was gone, my ability to properly care for myself was fucked up too.
