My last visit to Hambledon House Community Centre as the local Councillor, was bittersweet. I couldn't help but feel a touch of sadness. It has been great to work with and help the team there, most recently with solar panels for the building. Structure

For the past 3 days, I’ve been trying to capture the Beacon, my choice of location for Structure, in a sunny setting. Weather apps have been all over the place, telling me to expect grey and miserable weather and suddenly the sun is soaring the skies while my battery is charging!

So over the past few days, any time it was sunny, I got my equipment and went to my location, but considering it was only 5 minutes along the road, by the time I got there and was ready to shoot, the grey clouds would return! Today, I did the same, going there, it was bright and sunny until I was about to shoot, and then the clouds returned. I was taking my dog to the local dog park anyway so decided to come back later in the day and try again, that’s what I did and I took multiple photos with different zooms and apertures to give myself a variety! 

These are the three main photos I really took a liking to, I have optimised them with basic editing but none have been cropped or given the perspective warp, I plan on doing that another day.

I had a lot of sun shining onto the building and the surrounding area, but under that one sheltered area is somewhere that very rarely gets much sun because of the large curving roof, so I wasn’t focused on trying to get sun there as I was rather fed up by this point due to trying for three days!
