Rhett and Link concert: A Tad Reflection
Sorry this took a while. I wanted to really have my time to collect my thoughts. Firstly, I got my VIP ticket from my husband who is beyond reason, supportive of my fandoms and writing. He knew that the first concert I went to was great (I went with @whatsastory ) but unfortunately because of a misunderstanding in the ticket format we didn't get VIPs to meet Rhett and Link directly. Granted meeting my writing wife in person was still completely worth the trip!
So as a late birthday gift, I got a surprise ticket in my home state of Florida. The concert was at the Straz Center. I got parked and walked over.

The line to get in was to put it nicely, bad. I have been to many events at the Straz Center before and usually it's very we organized but this time around, not so much. The staff were very sweet, but it was easy to tell that they were understaffed and slightly confused as to what they needed to do.
Here is the tour bus that I passed on the way to the front doors.

My seat was awesome!

The concert itself was wonderful. Even though I had seen it once before Rhett and Link always puts on a great show. First was Britton along with a special appearance of one of his best friends who lived in Orlando.

Next came our boys!

Finally the meet and greet. Both Rhett and Link were beyond kind and sweet. I know everyone goes on and on about how tall Rhett is in person and how blue Link's eyes are, and both are true. However, I was more amazed by their connection when they talk to you.
I went online and purchased custom made pops for them. They were shocked and asked so many questions about them and were genuinely touched. @its-mike-kapufty asked me about their hugs, and which one was better, and it gave me time to really think.
Both of the hugs were warm and loving, but there definitely were some differences.

Link was so good about taking over gently if a fan walked up to them and was clearly nervous or stunned. His hug was more firm and controlled. There was a focus in the way he held you tight and made sure that you were being taken care of. As if he wanted to make sure that you knew that you were cared about. He also had an easy going confidence to him that was undeniable.
In other words, he hugged YOU.

Rhett's hug was softer and more gentle. He made it a point to let you set the pace. Definitely a gentle teddy bear of a man, and much more soft spoken then I first thought he would be. I assume some of this comes from being so tall and naturally not wanting to come across as intimidating. I was floored as to how deeply he looked into my eyes when I was answering his questions. As if you were the only person on the planet.
In other words, you hugged HIM.

I had a ball meeting them, and whether you ship them romantically for fun, just enjoy the show it is obvious to tell that these two men are soulmates. Period.
And yes, I know that I look like a blowfish in my pic. LOL. I was going for a look of mild surprise, but my face got away from me!
So, thank you to Rhett and Link for heading to Tampa for a visit and being just as wonderful and gorgeous as expected. Also thank you again to my husband who embraces my male ships and my writing with the fierce devotion of a guard dog. And finally to all of you who read my stories and encourage me to keep getting (hopefully) better.
