“Rhythms... At The Edge of Time”

Totally recorded this show from the PBS broadcast (rerun) from that year and it fueled my passion for the marching arts (100%). I watched this show SO many times and made it my model for how I would approach my high school marching band (which would then lead me directly into drum corps a few years later). It was a full circle moment for me when I earned a gold medal on that same field (being lead by the same Brass Caption Head; Gino Cipriani). This show and Crossmen’s ‘92 show are the 2 shows that changed my life (in a monumental way). This is the one show that I always think of when I think of the quintessential Concord Blue Devils.💙

2000 Blue Devils Drum & Bugle Corps

Another Totally AWESOME show by BD based around a darker theme. Loosely based around films such as Scorsese’s “Taxi Driver”, Hitchcock’s “North By Northwest” and “Psycho” - this particular show, entitled “Methods of Madness”, is yet another fine example of the powerhouse corps that is the Concord Blue Devils. I totally marched with a dude in Magic who marched Baritone in this show (CURLY!) - I also totally had the honor of marching with a couple of Cadets from that season, too (Victor & Jeanette!). AWESOME VIBES!

AWESOME moment with the Blue Devils Drumline (back in early 2000′s) showing their skills (playing Ditty as well as show excerpts and individual/ensemble stuff). Good times! BD has been DCI World Champs the most out of all the corps and it certainly shows in their efforts (a ton of talent goes out West to be a part of that unmatched legacy).

Blue Devils’ totally badass ending to their 1996 show, “Club Blue: A Gangster Chronicle.”

Another totally excellent moment that happened in Orlando. ...I’m still floored by how Blue Devils are one of the only corps that can get further away on field and get louder and Louder and LOUDER without sacrificing their tone or sound quality or overall balance. Their sound upfront will blow your hat off hahaha.

Chad Sexton of 311 paying a visit to the Concord Blue Devils Drumline. There’s a ton of musicians who have marched drum corps who bring that intense level of tenacity and passion to the music scene (in each of their respective styles/bands/groups). It’s totally awesome.
