Over the last 2 years we've thrown him one hell of a memorable party with thousands of your creations….so let’s do it all again!!!! And what better way to celebrate than by filling the dash with your wonderful creations, again!!!

On JANUARY 24TH celebrate by posting fics, gifs, amvs, art, graphics, poetry, edits, or anything you can think of to create, as long as it’s Dean-centric! guys, this is just a reminder that making gifs takes time. writing fanfiction takes time. creating fanart takes time. i'm saying this because i've seen a few gifs of mine being reposted and while i love to know you guys enjoy the content i post -whether they are gifs or stories or whatever- i think it's necessary to remind everyone, once in a while, that there's a ton of dedication put behind the scenes. i use photoshop to make gifs, and sometimes i spend over 30mins or more to make a gifset containing 4-6 gifs. i do this for my enjoyment first and foremost, but when you see it being reposted somewhere else without credit, it just feels... not nice.

if you come across a gif or gifset that makes you feel things or that you really enjoy, you can reblog it from the original source and write a caption, you can use tags, you can leave a comment or tag your fellow mutuals... it's that simple, and that way, you'll be giving the creators the visibility they deserve without devaluing someone's work.

and while i'm at it, same goes for fanfiction. i write because i need it; because it helps me understand myself, process my own thoughts and emotions; it helps me understand others; and i write because i enjoy it, the process of researching, getting better at expressing myself and everything else that comes with it. i share some of my writings here because apparently a bunch of you enjoy my little things (thank you, babes), but if you take a moment to think about how much time i've spent writing and editing what i post... well, it's a lot.

so please, support your creators. reblog, don't repost. leave a comment, send a message. appreciation is needed; it means the world to us. and we'll forever be grateful.

Their April Phools this year was surprisingly pretty tame compared to the literal short found footage horror film we received last year. However, I loved that, similar to Dystopia Daily, WAD, and TIT, they used this as yet another opportunity to criticize content-creators and their incessant need to monetize and exploit every aspect of their livelihoods, especially and in spite of the ways in which they are detrimental to the environment and jeopardize those who are literally incapable of consent. I just love Dan and Phil's ability to always make humor out of their blatant critique of society and internet culture.

i get extremely annoyed by people who make a very big thing in their tags and notes that "this is jot rpf!!!! thats nasty and horrible and if you do rpf get OUT of here i never want to see your face again" because like. i hate to break it to you bud but this separation exists primarily in your mind. the fact that you are characterizing these people does not inherently make them characters.

like yes the nature of content creation necessitates and forces a not insignificant aspect of performance and story creation that brings in inherently characterized and contrived elements but the line between "character" and "content creator" is not as nice in clean as you want it to be.

like yeah minecraft youtuber mumbo jumbo is doing storylines and bits but im pretty sure most of his videos are just him being the version of himself he records as; which is, crucially, still a form of an authentic version of himself. like when i go to work i act a different than with my close friends but i'm not a whole new person i'm just choosing different words bc i'm at work.

yall just gotta start being cool with the fact that the difference between rpf and your characterized versions of these people is not as strong as you want it to be and thats fine!!!! rpf is not the big great sin of life!!!!! understand yourself and your limits and do your best not to break other peoples and you'll be golden!!! and for the record. rpf is for You. don't forget that

I know that most Artists work very hard to make a perfect creative work to their own eyes and than when ready, willing to let it go public because they're proud of their accomplishment. And when those creative works are not respected, it is simply like being stabed for Owners.

It's important to respect Copyright Law by obtaining permission or a license when using someone else's creative work, giving the proper attribution.

So that is why sometimes I'm not reacting to some publications and in worst case scenario, I must unfollow or even block some accounts. I cannot afford to jeopardize my account. It is particularly important to encourage innovation and protect the rights of Creators of any kind of works.

To me Ownership and Copyright Law = respect for everyone; anywhere around the World.

A few weeks ago I pitched some article ideas to an upstart pop culture website. I pitched an Amazing Digital Circus analysis article and Helluva Boss end of Season 2 article and speculation. They were rejected for "Irrelevance to their audience". These are shows with Millions of views every episode. In fact, the latest digital circus episode has currently 53 MILLION views.

It just goes to show STILL how underestimated Youtube as a platform is, and those that are making art on there are overlooked in mainstream society. These are shows with tens of millions of views and they wont reach the same audience as those looking for the Marvel news?

There are so so SO many shows and creators on Youtube that deserve SO much love. So many companies themselves have started on Youtube and Twitch. (Think Geek and Sundry, Good Mythical morning, etc).

It's just a shame that there seems to be no respect STILL after twenty years since Youtube's creation, to give these creators the love they deserve.
