"Creatives deserve to be paid" and "We desperately need community spaces for creatives that aren't focused on trying to make money or advance careers where we're allowed to make connections and experiment" are two statements that can and should coexist.

Advice I'd Give to My Younger Self.
Be unapologetic about your presence. Never enter a room with your head lowered. Hold your head up like you are proud to be who you are. Take up space. Be bold in your actions. Let your voice be heard.
You don't have to be perfect. Get over perfectionism and the fear of being embarrassed. Learn to own all your flaws and insecurities and continue to do what you love.
What other people say mean nothing. Never loose sleep over anyone’s opinion of you. They are not God and they don't define you.
Believe in yourself. You can be successful just like those people you look up to. You have what it takes. Hone your skills and be great too.
Appreciate your unique gifts and qualities. Stop comparing yourself to others and changing yourself to fit in. Always stay true to yourself.

If you're a reader or even a creator in general looking at this right now, please don't delete your work. It breaks my heart to see yall deactivate. I don't care if feel like you don't get enough notes or if it feels too much to keep posting right now and you need a break, your work does means something to someone more than you know. And don't underestimate the quality of your content, people are watching, and I've seen cases of scammers posting the content of deactivated accounts up here as their own on Instagram. There are even people who shamelessly steal your work when you're active, your form of expression is valuable, it's beautiful and impactful because it's your own! Be proud of it, don't ever delete it!

what are your creative gifts — what is your artistic sparkle ꒰ᐢ. .ᐢ꒱ྀི₊ ˚. ⊹

❀⋆.ೃ࿔ your creative field
the creative aspiration you hold (can be your passion, your ideal career path, or your divine purpose) is related to the union of two polar forces. it combines two regions of life — or it could very well be dealings with another person, one-on-one. you may help people get to know themselves better and recognize their own light, and/or you may be very honest and direct with people, helping them uncover hidden truths about life. in some way, what you do and the way you do it helps others find answers. the example i’m imagining is a person looking at my group one’s painting and they suddenly get a vision or reach a conclusion about a life situation they had been particularly stressed about. it seems like unintentionally, the thing you do creatively gets people’s perspectives to shift or more like their gears going. your work sheds clarity upon other’s hearts. what you do always tends to have a hidden symbolism to it that comes as a result of your personal approach. a lot of your creative projects, ideas and such come from an unnameable place. an underlying and unknown energy that buzzes through your being. i’m seeing a person’s hand holding a pen and their hand is being moved by an invisible pen (it’s a spirit who grants you inspiration). this person does not even realize it but what they are writing or drawing on the page is actually incredibly significant to someone else. it’s reminding me of those videos on tiktok of artists intuitively drawing completely random people and posting it asking “did i draw you?” specifically with an extra emotional touch that was completely “accidental” or “coincidental.” like them drawing a person who exists sitting besides a black cat, and that person commented saying “yeah, you drew me!” and strangely enough, that person recently had a cat who passed onto the other side. it’s a very emotional experience for the person who was drawn because it just seems like such a huge comfort and positive sign. and the artist had no idea that what they drew was channeling something very meaningful for somebody else. that’s the kind of energy you bring to your creative field.
❀⋆.ೃ࿔ your creative gifts
your gifts my dear are the right bits of fun, fluid, and free-moving as well as the right bits of dedication. you feel moved to it and devoted to it for perhaps a reason you haven’t yet been able to explain, but the drive continues. the motivation continues. and for others of you it could be a little bit of the opposite. you could 100% know the purpose as to why you’re drawn to a certain field, and you lack motivation because you’re afraid of making a mistake or doing it imperfectly. let me tell you, part of your gift, as i mentioned before comes with a huge creative gift. it’s a very lowkey psychic ability. clairvoyant art. mediumship could run in your blood or it is a very possible field for you to enter because of a natural intuitive link you have. again, consider yourself with this vibe: an artist who always draws this particular character for no apparent reason, one day they find an ancestor of theirs who looks exactly like that character. i want to tell you that the more you feed into your intuitive gifts and spiritual side, your creative side is greatly impacted positively. these two aspects feed each other. the collective consciousness may be a subject you are interested in or would be interested jn looking up. your creativity has a very wide spectrum, people of a varied and vast demographic would enjoy what you do creatively. it also seems you have the ability to change your mind easily with your projects and modify it in order to achieve your proudest result. you are moved to adjust certain aspects in a way you can’t even explain. i’m seeing someone drawing a portrait with all blue colors, then this very random voice in their head whispers “draw a red stripe.” and your ego is like dude what… but your soul accepts and goes for it. it seems like you don’t restrict yourself creatively so your works are very abundant. unlimited. uninhibited. there is definitely an innovative touch to what you do, have you any significant aquarius placements? look into those and see how they play into your life. aquarius is a very creative sign, even more-so if influenced by other creative signs. pisces, libra, cancer. leo.
❀⋆.ೃ࿔ what you offer to the world through creation
a sense of relief for some. a safe haven for others. a type of presence that is alarming to some (baffling, puzzling), but very fitting, suitable, and full of joy for the right ones. if you are in a specific field like let’s say you are a painter, a lot of people who are more societally or technically “advanced” in your field find your work very enviable. they would really like to replicate it because you have this natural touch with it that cannot be studied, analyzed, or reasoned with. your creative gift does not come from a source that can be explained.

❀⋆.ೃ࿔ your creative field
your ideal creative field is one that is very well paid today. very very very well paid. and i can already see you doing well at this and being successful. it seems that this field requires discipline, actually sitting down and studying what you do. so you would have this very intricate knowledge of what you do, which feeds you creativity. without that knowledge, you may feel a bit stumped creatively. so reading books about this greatly increases your “artistic sense” or your skill in this area. this feels like something you’d study in college. and i feel like you may have intuitively known this was the path you were meant to go, but you may not have realized how much hard work it takes. however, you are more than equipped. i’m sensing this energy of a person who is so good at what they do, actually mindfully learning and studying. studying, studying. it keeps popping in my head. you may be very serious about your studies or be very engrossed in them. you have a kind of devotion here that many people wish they had. an intelligence that can’t be copied. the way you pick up information is not easy to others and it seems you have been this way since childhood.
❀⋆.ೃ࿔ your creative gifts
attention to detail, careless mistakes bother you, analytical or methodical approach. it seems like neatness and togetherness is what makes your projects look so clean and approachable. you are protective of your--metaphorical or not--art per say. this is significant because it indicates that a big piece of you goes into what you do, you can't help it. it adds meaning to what you do. you have the ability to cater to a broad and average audience rather than a niche group. this shows to me that you may have excellent social skills and connecting to others is quite easy for you. you creatively engage with your clients/customers/audience/viewers and such. now where is the sparkle? because so far i'm seeing a very straightforward official kind of energy. i'm feeling that some of you are actually trying to discover a spark at the moment, and are struggling a bit because your natural skills lie more with research and analytics. well, good news, you can use those skills to endeavor your new path or ambition. i can see someone looking up artistic techniques, tutorials, tips, overall researching an interest they really want to tap into and dabble in. it's like you're a music technician rather than a songwriter. or you're an english major rather than a creative writing major. both need creativity but one is more closely linked to technicality while the other is less restricted. follow your talents but be willing to let loose a little. i'm seeing that you'll be able to actively search for beauty rather than letting it find you. that's the kind of dedication you hold. find things yourself. investigate. dive further. you have what it takes to find and master all the coolest skills you could dream of having. over time, you will definitely relinquish more of that straightjacket energy and fall into a more pure energy. but follow your current strengths, be led where you are led and lean into your "now gifts" regardless of your future goals!
❀⋆.ೃ࿔ what you offer to the world through creation
wow, this is a super cool energy. you can offer something really impactful through your creations. because you have talent in research and really learning the depths of a subject, you can make things that are unknown to most people be more known. i'm thinking of an archeologist discovering evidence of human life thousands of years ago then telling people and it being a huge eye opener for society. it seems like the type of information you uncover and then divulge because very impactful for those receiving it. you are putting big truths out into the world and seriously helping people's perspectives widen. you revive minds, concepts, ideas.

❀⋆.ೃ࿔ your creative field
immediately got this fun-loving energy from you and we will dive deeper into that in the second part. your creative field seems to be your "true love". this is something you know you're passionate about and i see that you have many role models or at least one role model in this field. it's also highly likely that an ancestor of yours was very interested in this field, was a part of the field, or is now getting to be a part of this field through you which is so sweet and heartwarming. you could definitely have this ancestor in your spirit team and they are the first and foremost one to hold your hand through this specific path because it is so special to the both of you and they recognize your gift. you jot down notes related to your creative field. parties are held in this field. i heard "in your honor". you've undergone many personal transformations to reach this field or along the way you've transformed within it many times. deep, sometimes incredibly difficult transformations and "falling aparts". but it's made you better and connected you further to your calling. i can sense a smidgen of doubt but it doesn't cross your mind to give up this dream. it's just a bit of anxiety that you won't do your best or do it justice. but you are devoted to it. there is such a loving and grateful feeling i am picking up on that you have for it and it is just so endearing and charming. my heart feels really happy tapping into that energy. this is a social field, people work with you and help you out. it is a bit of team effort. engaging with other like-minded souls. this feeds your gift. it is also a very visionary field. your craftsmanship will grant you good funds.
❀⋆.ೃ࿔ your creative gifts
you may physically see pictures in your head of what your ideal projects within this field look like. such as someone who is into cinematography seeing the exact shots and sights and edits they want to put in the film in their mind before even starting. you are creatively very open to source. visuals, sounds, vibe, and stylistic details magically appear in your head and you probably write down your ideas a lot. your imagination is your greatest gift, i have a feeling you don't know just how wonderful that is. the amount of ideas that come to you and the originality of them is absolutely insane for lack of a better word. just astonishing and admirable, really. the love you have for your field is a great gift too. that, my friend, is the gift of passion. the lyrics "i'm a star, i'm a star, i'm a star" came to mind. the love you give out towards your passion returns to you and this love can be felt in your chest. like a swell of pride after finishing a project. a smile on your face. an excitement. a recognition of the talent that you hold. follow your dream. spirit wanted me to tell you that. and follow your visions. the stream of consciousness that flows through you is enchanting and extremely sparkling. um, please be my friend. i'm sorry i had to add in that personal touch, i am enamoured by this energy!! be my friend!!!
❀⋆.ೃ࿔ what you offer to the world through creation
this actually is quite funny because of what i was just saying. you offer a feeling of friendship to those who get to experience your artistry and creativity. you are a charming one, group threes. there is also something attractive about your creations. intrigue. people are drawn like moths to a flame to what you do. is it because you know yourself so well? is it because your visions are so different than most? is it because of your gentle but powerful impact? is it because you always seem to be achieving greatness? is it because your passion is absolutely radiant? all of the above, and more. you are a star, and it's making me really emotional. starlight, star bright!
❀⋆.ೃ࿔ channeled songs
if you like something that reflects your energy - lucky star, madonna
if you like something poppy & modern - señorita, camila cabello and shawn mendes
if you like something light - thank you, dido
it was a pleasure reading for you!! i wasn't lying when i said Be My Friend <3 thank you so much for being here and take lots of care! :D

When the Yarn Loses Its Spark: Coping with Burnout and Reclaiming Joy
Knitting has always been a joy for me, a safe haven if you will. It is a meditative, tactile way to unwind after a long day or express creativity in a tangible form. There’s something magical about turning a ball of yarn into a scarf, sock, sweater—or even just a swatch. But somewhere along the way, what once brought calm and joy can start to feel like... a chore. Currently, I'm working on multiple projects while also using knitting to raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. A lot is going on, and I have a full-time job on top of it! It's hard to maintain that spark while working towards multiple deadlines.
Yes, knitters get burned out too.
And it’s not just knitting. Any hobby, no matter how beloved, can become a source of stress if we’re not careful. Maybe you’ve taken on too many projects, agreed to knit gifts on a deadline, or compared yourself too much to other creators online. Suddenly, the peaceful act of stitching one row at a time feels more like work than pleasure.
Why Burnout Happens
Here are a few common reasons burnout creeps into creative hobbies like knitting:
Overcommitment: Saying “yes” to too many projects or requests.
Perfectionism: Feeling like everything has to be flawless or match some ideal.
Comparison: Scrolling through perfectly styled Instagram grids and wondering why your sweater looks a little... lumpy.
Monotony: Sticking to the same patterns, colors, or yarn types for too long.
Pressure to be productive: Treating your hobby like a second job rather than a source of rest.
Signs You Might Be Experiencing Knitting Burnout
You haven’t touched your needles in weeks (or months), but the guilt still lingers.
You keep buying yarn but never feel excited to use it.
You start projects and abandon them halfway through (again).
You feel like you should knit, not that you want to.
Sound familiar? You’re not alone—and more importantly, it’s okay.
How to Combat Hobby Burnout
Take a Break Without Guilt Put the needles down. Literally. You’re not failing or giving up—you’re resting. Walk away for a few days, weeks, or even months. The yarn will wait for you. Creativity can’t flourish under pressure.
Reframe the Relationship Try thinking about knitting (or any hobby) as a relationship, not a task. Relationships change over time. Maybe your needs have shifted. Maybe you need to fall in love with it again—on new terms.
Start Small Again Return to the basics: a dishcloth, a simple beanie, or even a square. No pressure. No deadline. Just stitch for the sake of stitching. Rediscover the rhythm without needing a finished product.
Switch Things Up If you’re bored, challenge yourself! Try a new technique, different yarn weight, or something completely outside your comfort zone—like tapestry knitting or making tiny knitted animals. Newness can refresh the brain.
Unfollow, Mute, or Step Back from Social Media If you’re constantly comparing your work to others, take a digital detox. You don’t owe the internet your progress photos. Knit for you.
Connect with Real People Attend a knitting group or chat with other crafters. Burnout often thrives in isolation. Talking about your frustrations and joys can make the experience feel lighter and more communal.
Give Yourself Permission to Quit That project you’re dreading finishing? Frog it. Donate it. Repurpose the yarn. Letting go can be incredibly freeing. Not everything you start has to be completed—especially if it’s draining your joy.
Knitting, like any hobby, is supposed to nourish you—not drain you. If you’re feeling burnt out, remember: the spark can return, but only if you give yourself space and grace. You don’t need to earn rest. You’re allowed to do things just because they feel good—and to stop when they don’t.
And who knows? One day soon, you may find yourself reaching for those needles, not out of obligation, but because you’re ready to create again, one stitch at a time.

You remain caught between devotion to the idea and the impossibility of its perfect realization. The creative act becomes a grief loop, a sacred mourning of what can't be fully born. The grief you feel is the grief of translation: the words, tools, and resources never quite channel the fullness of what you imagined.
And so you hesitate. You hoard ideas.

Maybe this is a hot take, but as creative people, our #1 priority in our work should be ourselves.
It is not, AND SHOULD NEVER BE, what would get us the most engagement. Dispel "content creation," popularity, and monetization from your brain. Write, paint, draw what you want to! HOLY SHIT!!!!!!
The people who resonate with it will eventually show up. But the people who don't? Who cares???? The art you personally create is meant to help you heal, to help you express, to bring you joy and pain!!!!
You need to learn how to work on something because you deeply care for it and can revel in that self-satisfaction. Of course recognition feels fucking great! We all want it. We are humans, but you need to stop creating with the idea of other people consuming your work!!!
Give into the art movement. Create a renaissance for yourself. Fuck other people. Be that bitch! People are not going to be in your lives forever, and when you're left to your own devices, you should be able to look at what you've created and fucking love it.

I 100% believe that the main reason people are scared they'll lose their creativity after they get help isn't because of some sort of self hatred most of the time, but because of the very material reality that the psychological industry exists to make people "normal" rather than happy. Like, when getting "help" means conforming to social standards, and your art is something that actively makes you less normal in the eyes of society, than it makes sense that you see that "help" as a threat to your existence as an artist. Most psychiatrists would openly admit that they'd consider turning an independent creative into an emotionless businessman as a win, why is it suddenly a conspiracy theory when the patient understands that just as well?

Protect your energy by using your discernment. Not everything is going to be for you. Not everyone is going to be for you. There are certain environments that are not suited for you. Stop responding and reacting, to every little thing sent to trigger you. When it doesn’t sit naturally with your energy, let it pass you.
