Creedence Clearwater Revival - Cosmo’s Factory (1970)

On this day—July 8, 1970—Cosmo’s Factory, the fifth studio album by Creedence Clearwater Revival was released. The album was supported by six singles (three double A-sides out of 11 songs)—“Travelin’ Band,” “Who’ll Stop the Rain,” “Up Around the Bend,” “Run Through the Jungle,” “Lookin’ Out My Back Door,” and “Long As I Can See the Light”—and remarkably all of them charted in the top 5. (In addition, though against the band’s wishes, a final single, the 11-minute “I Heard It Through the Grapevine” was released in 1976.) The album topped the charts in six countries and is a picture of the band at their peak, as it was the band’s last album to include a top 5 hit.
