One thing that really bothered me in the novel was that CC was supposed to be this epic lover that everyone couldn’t get enough of and he was the best ever and then when it came time for him to get with the person he was the most invested in sleeping with that person did not have a good time.

I’m glad they didn’t make him as much like that for the show because it definitely didn’t need to be that way and it would make a lot more sense for it to be something he was actively trying to make a pleasant experience for his lover, even though he knew it could be uncomfortable. I know they were still doing the “sore” bit in the show but it definitely didn’t seem to be as if they were trying to imply he was destroyed or he was bed ridden.
