Ingredients: - 8 cups Crispix cereal - 2 cups pecan halves, salted preferred - 1 cup packed brown sugar - 1 cup corn syrup - 1 cup butter - 1 tsp vanilla extract - 1 tsp baking soda Instructions: 1. Preheat the oven to 250ºF. 2. In a large bowl, combine the Crispix cereal and pecan halves. 3. In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, melt together the brown sugar, corn syrup, and butter, stirring occasionally until the mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat, then stir in the vanilla extract and baking soda. Pour this mixture over the cereal and pecans, stirring to ensure everything is well coated. 4. Spread the mixture evenly into a 9x13-inch pan. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes to ensure even baking. 5. Once baked, transfer the mixture onto wax or parchment paper to cool. Once cool, break it into bite-sized pieces.
