Oi just realised something about Wilbur Cross (Black Friday), it’s not really important for the plot but I personally find it quite interesting!

Do you all remember this line in Made in America? I noticed that Wilbur was, in fact, wearing a watch to check the time. Thing is, why would he need a watch in the Black and White? For dramatic effect, of course, but who else had this obsession (?) with watches?

Wilbur was John Mcnamara’s mentor before he stepped into the Black and joined Wiggly.

I just think that John picked up his habit of using watches instead of checking the time on his phone by Wilbur, just saying!

hello tumblr, i have made my first (and probably last) post to ask scientific/marine questions out of curiosity since googling hasn't helped

1. if we can only go down ~4,000m underwater with submersibles, how did we know that colossal squid live around 6,000 meters under the surface?

2. if we've only seen a juvenile colossal squid about a week ago how did we know what the adults look like prior? and also how do we know that they become more opaque as they age?

2.5 i know that we know some things about them, but if the only things we've found of them are beaks in the stomachs of washed-up whales how do we deduce everything else from just that?

3. kind of a bonus question i only just thought of while writing this - if the blobfish looks like how it does when brought up to the surface since it's a deep-sea fish, how does the same not hold true for whales? i assume they dive at least 6,000-4,000m since they can go to colossal squid levels so is it because of their size? maybe a combination of also not staying there for as long too, or?

i have no idea if the right people (if any) will see this but i hope it does. thank you to anyone who answers and im sorry this is so long

i appear to be experiencing the tetris effect but like, with seeing snow, thats strange, im inside, but my usual amount of visual noise sometimes looks like its moving like snow and out of the corner of my eyes it really does kinda briefly look like snow! NEAT! hey snow experiencers is this normal

Hi !! My name is Mars, and I'm no longer a CS major at a North American university. I'm a math major now :) with a minor in CS. It's been my dream since high school to be in this major and to be in research. I'm going to conduct research someday in math and/or physics to contribute to the field just out of passion.

Planning to use this account to blog my study session experiences to hopefully inspire, and just to log. Hopefully, I can connect to more people who love the subject like I do and maybe make more people interested in the subject. :) Might also get off topic and rant about topics that interest me, but that's ab it.

Subjects you'll find here: college-level mathematics, coding language studies (occasionally), and physics (maybe others if they're required for my major, but these are the mains!).

Aiming to be studious more out of passion than sheer discipline. I'm going to be in research someday - when that day comes, I want to be ready. Would LOVE to hear your thoughts in the comments and just have some chats !
