Non serious shitpost xD After the news regarding the adeptus custodes, and that long ago I made a fanart of Kitten and Shadowsun (Alfabusa stuff) I had to make a silly thing, but much happier now. It's a silly fanart of a fan series, so if you get mad, it's on you.

I like your stuff about Valdor. What do you think about the new Horus Heresy Trailer? I liked that it starred Constantin but I think his face looked a bit off. Although it's good that he looks older and grumpy.

Great question! I do have a thread on it on my twitter where I listed ALL of Valdor’s features in his appearance.

I LOVE the fact they used Valdor’s mini model and NOT his BoTI design(which is technically wrong canonically speaking)

This is directly his mini's model. Right down to the pelt and the head.

His chimes are here, on the right side, and so is the "wide" spread of his gorget. The "shield" on his pauldron is slightly different orientation(less to the front and more "down" but it still has the scroll (which doesn't have his name for a reason.

Captain-General and Malcador. The fact this is his model's design thrills me to no end, even right down to the "bangles". You can see the dangling thingies on his tasset/loincloth thing, along with the ship on his hips and even the medals on his pelt.

This here gives an odd insight onto his neck, which isn’t very often. But you can see the “edges” of the surronding structure of his pauldrons and his neck-guard, both found on his mini, joytoy and even his BoTI design’s neck.

HE EVEN HAD THE RIGHT CHARACTERIZATION (”What I think doesn’t matter” is a very accurate quote)! Also they remembered the tubes on his left side of his face AND the augmetic bead on the right side! (Source: BoTI). You can’t see his neck neural implants from this angle but I don’t mind. 

And THEY REMEMBERED HIS DOUBLE EAGLE WINGS!

His eagle wings are not always like that and his name scroll is weirdly empty(it should have VALDOR spelled on it), but DOUBLE EAGLE WINGS AND VINE DECALS ON CHESTPLATE!

Also they even remembered the fact his skull has the cross, seen on model and BoTI, I love it.

Plus, Valdor's eye color is brown, not black. This was never truly confirmed in the books(his eye color is “dark” in MoM and never mentioned again directly)

And finally:

Also a very relevant quote since he has the quote that’s essentially: “be prepared in war, unless you want to fucking die” (paraphrasing, of course)

Aside from that, I just wanted to say that Valdor does look youthful in BoTI. He is old by this point, but it’s implied he can’t change(also from BoTI, from his revelation with Ushotan), so he could look surprisingly young and it wouldn’t be out of character.
