what do ur moots remind you of?! (ex. places, color, song, etc)
lissie: hey anon! sorry for the late reply! I'll try my best to answer your question because this will be long...
@kookthief : the setting summer sun that is a body of ocean away going down beyond the horizon from where you can see from the beach. maybe because ellie has mentioned the summer i turn pretty tons of times, seeing photos of the sunset by a beach reminds me of her!
@ujunxverse: the strobing lights in a small concert venue where an alternative rock band is playing. viv's music taste and little mentions of music she listens to give me recommendations for more artists to listen to in the future. i also realize that our music taste venn diagram is more connected than i realized (cassiopea, have a nice life, radiohead, etc)
@heartandfangs: the narrow aisle of a warm-colored old bookstore. i think because of how amazingly P writes her stories it makes me think of that. one shelf is apocalyptic (the world ends with you) and another is erotica (i owe you and not if it's you)
@euphor1a: the smell of freshly baked vanilla cake in a pastel bakery on the corner of the street block. i mentioned to aleyna how she reminded me of sugar cookies before. with this, i'm expanding what i said before to the whole bakery :D
@jeongwins: an aesthetic-looking list on letterboxd. i know it seems random, but the way lin writes reviews for fics they recommend is how a film critic writes a review for a movie. in a way, it also shows the people what kind of fics they like and how others can expect from the fics by their reviews, just like how people on letterboxd make list for movies they like aesthetically or story wise
@s-ngh8n: open parasols on the sandy beach with the glittering waves in the distance. kinda like their name, lemon has a sense of freshness that i can't fully articulate using adjectives. so, here i am using a description to fully said what i meant
@boba-beom: xing fu tang's brown sugar boba milk tea. other than the boba theme being similar, smiles to me seems very refreshing and warm in the way she speaks and interacts with yours truly
@dim-sun: a cottagecore-themed pixel art. probably because zu had one of them for their banner one time, but every time i found a forest pixel art, it always reminds me of them...
@it-rains-blue: a rupi kaur-style book full of short stories. condensed yet emotionally rich, that is what the vibe of yerin's writing feels like for me. her range also contributes to it as short stories in one book can make you feel so many emotions; throwing the book against the wall or seeing tears fell on the pages from how it got you to feel.
@heart2beom: the smell of salted popcorn as you sit inside the cinema seats. another random one but jazmine makes me feel that way. i haven't read much of her work but i know that it'll give me a good time just like a good movie does.
@tyunlatte: a litter of kittens walking towards you as you sit on the carpeted floor of a cat cafe. seeing illustrations of cats reminds me of alex so much + the cafe aspect is definitely the kind of vibe if i open her blog. you're always in for a treat!
@lovejoshua: the colors: rose quartz and serenity. iykyk ;) but in all seriousness, i'm happy to see svt's content in my timeline from time to time because of ilem (literally every time i wake up and check the blr, it's gonna be either josh or seungcheol gifs. and i am in for that)
@junniieesbby: an emoji of a heart. as her previous moniker for her time as anon, every time i see a heart of any kind, both the symbol heart or a heart that looks accurate anatomically, it reminds me of angie!
@hanniejie: the song "can you feel the sunshine?" from the video game sonic r. using the sol as their aesthetic, lex gives of a very warm and optimistic vibe whenever i see their name or username, kinda like this song whenever i play them.
@txt-yaomi: ateez's yunho. ever since i learned that sof ults him, i kinda feel almost the same vibe between the two of them. both can be calm and excitedly chaotic at any time >.<
@talesofyuan: a shelf full of multi-volume manga series. remembering yuan's dream as a mangaka, every time i see a manga illustration, it always reminds me of her.
@choistick: the words "Musik" and "Kunst" . knowing where she comes from, thinking about saph really makes me want to revive my knowledge of the german language after not using it since i graduated high school lmao guten tag saph!
@robin-obsessed: txt's hueningkai being the ningdungie that she is, lee gives off the same vibe as hyuka whenever i think of her + her tumblr banner and discord username don't help either in making me think that she and kai are connected in some way...

A must-try for macrophiles

Thanks to this I was able to make my dream come true. I tried it with my girlfriend and the next thing I knew I ended up half a cm tall in her hand. I was able to explore her body all night. A few tips: 1) Make sure you get the antidote as well when you buy this. It’s sold separately so unless you want to stay tiny… plan accordingly. A lot of people complain about this. First they shrink and then they have to stay tiny for the next couple of days until they can get a taste of the antidote. Well, that doesn’t sound that bad to me at all! But whatever you wish to do, if you are reading this, you have been warned.
2) Make sure you can really trust the person you’re going to use this with. Horror stories are surfacing about people shrinking and then terrible things happening to them. DON’T use this with someone you just met, no matter how hot that may sound. DON’T use this with prostitutes. DON’T use this without telling your girlfriend/wife/whatever.
3) It’s called FAST because it’s meant to be used fast. Its effect wears off a few seconds after it’s opened. It’s made that way for a reason, otherwise it could be used to shrink unwilling peeps by adding it to their food and drinks. So don’t hesitate and just swallow it as soon as you can once you take it out of the blister. It’s not cheap so you’ll want to make sure you don’t waste it.
4) There are currently four sizes available: M (turns you ten times smaller, so about 17/18 centimeters if you’re average), S (turns you twenty times smaller, so about 8/9 centimeters), XS (about three hundred times smaller, more or less half a centimeter) and XXS (almost two thousand times smaller, more or less a millimeter). Make sure you get the version you would enjoy best. Essentially S means human dildo, XXS microscopic fun. Personally I made sure to try them all and can’t wait for new sizes to be added.

I have no qualms about the functionality of this product. It works just as advertised. I only wish it didn’t taste so bitter. It left a horrible taste in my mouth which almost ruined my playtime with my wife and I was too small to do anything about it. Because of the peculiar way it has to be used, there is no way it can be added to some orange juice or soda. They could make some strawberry or chocolate flavored versions to fix this problem and I really hope they do.

I haven’t used this product and I don’t intend to. However, since it was made available to the public, all kinds of freaks and perverts have started using it to sneak into my house and spy on me. Just so you know, everyone I’ve caught has ended up underfoot. I have no reservations about stepping into perverts who have no respect for the privacy of women, and no one should!

I wish I never agreed to let my (now ex) husband use this thing. Apparently the growth formula in the antidote does not react with his body, so he stayed small. He’s here with me as I write this, sitting on the desk. Five millimeters tall. I’ve spoken with doctors all around the state and no one was able to ultimately find a cure for him. Just do not use this. It’s not worth the risk.

Not just for sexy purposes!

I’ve gotten a bottle of this and I’ve started using it to carry my boyfriend around. I can sneak him into a concert then hide in the bathroom and get him back to normal there. Of course, because of its high price, it doesn’t make sense to use it for a $10 movie ticket. Just do your math and make sure the money you’re saving is worth the effort. EDIT: Beware because it can backfire as businesses are starting to wisen up to its use. Airports are a no-go. They have updated their metal detectors so they can sense hidden tiny people. It made the news once when they found a woman who was carrying someone in her panties. Imagine her embarrassment! Trains and buses are still fair game as far as I know.

“Cured” me of size-related fantasies
28 of 30 users found this helpful
I guess this is personal, as many people enjoyed it just fine. For me shrinking down wasn’t a very good experience. My girlfriend at the time was very careless and rough and ended up bruising me and leaving me in pain. When she finally returned me to normal, I ended up with a broken leg. We broke up soon after. I don’t fantasize anymore about that kind of thing. I guess it’s some kind of PTSD, but whenever I check some size related materialnow, I sorta panic. I guess my advice would be: use it if you really want but make sure you really know who you’re getting in bed with.

Me and my husband divorced over this
75 of 100 users found this helpful
Honestly I found this kind of annoying. My husband would come to me and ask me to be his giantess. OK, I said at first, why not. But then he started wanting to do it every night. Regular sex wasn’t on the menu anymore. Instead he would climb up my feet as I sat down on the bed or on the armchair. All he wanted was to be at my feet and sometimes other parts of me while shrunken. Naturally this was boring to me, so I began to object to it. Eventually I told him I didn’t want to do it anymore. It was about that time that he started seeing another woman, I think. Eventually he left with his new mistress. Our daughter is mad at him and says I should have crushed him back when I had the chance. She’s probably right…

Writing this review in place of my boyfriend
80 of 134 users found this helpful I’m writing this because he can’t. He is currently 1 mm tall and licking (I guess? I can barely see or feel him) my feet. Since he shrunk a week ago he hasn’t wanted to return to normal (I’ve given him the antidote a few times, but he refuses to take it). So for him, this thing would be a 10 out of 10. For me, it’s more of a 0 out of 10… I’m getting real bored of having a speck-sized boyfriend hanging out on my toes. To other girls who might be reading this: learn from my mistake and if your boyfriend is that much of a pervert, dump him on the spot and go look for a normal one instead. Rating: 5 out of 10

Ooops! I lost her

My girlfriend had always wanted to be tiny so I let her have her way. Problem is… I can’t find her anymore! I’m not sure where the hell she might be. I’ve searched anywhere, from my clothes to our bedroom. Be really careful what you do once you shrink someone down. I’m leaving a good rating anyway since this thing clearly works.

I squished my brother 99 of 127 users found this helpful
this is maybe too personal to share, but i wanted to warn other people of the dangers of using this “shrinking powder”. one day we couldn’t find my brother anymore. me and my mom thought he had run away from home and wanted tocall the police. that’s when we found the bottle of shrinking powder in his room. we started panicking and searched the whole house. we were very careful of where we were stepping and completely clueless as to why he would use such a thing. i only found out a few hours later, when i was about to do my laundry. he had climbed on the crotch of my dirty panties and was frolicking in there. it grossed me out at first, then i got so mad. he had shrunk himself so he could go into my bedroom and perv on me, his own sister. i could not think straight anymore and squished him on the spot. to this day i don’t really regret it but i never told mom the truth. she thinks he’s just missing and hopes maybe someday we’ll find him on the floor of the living room…

I prepared for this in advance. I started searching for a house with a hot female roommate. I found the perfect apartment and signed a one-year deal. I’m really sorry about this, Sarah (not your real name, of course), but I’ve been spying on you for months now. I make myself small enough that I can sneak under a closed door, then make my way under your desk. That’s the perfect place to look at you undressing. Sometimes when you’re studying at your desk I stare at your beautiful feet and legs for hours. The shape of your toes, every wrinkle in your sole is forever burned into my mind now. You don’t know how many loads Ive blown under your desk, Sarah… To you, I’m the rommate who’s always outside. I heard you talking on the phone, you’ve said it so many times. You love having me as a roommate since it means having the house for yourself most of the time. Ah, if only you knew the truth…

Great for busy moms
78 of 104 users found this helpful
I realize many people don’t endorse this use of the powder, but who cares. I think it works great for busy moms like me. I just make my kids small, then bring them to the office so I can keep an eye on them all of the time. My co-workers actually find them cute. It’s way cheaper than a nanny when you consider the money you save on food. And if needed, punishing them requires no effort. Just a tiny fickle with your finger and boom! They straighten out. They fear me like I’m some kind of god, which I appreciate. I don’t even need to raise my voice to make them afraid of me. Some people in my family have criticized me for the way I’m raising them. I told them I’m sure my kids will grow up (no pun intended) as better people than most of their peers, we’ll see who gets the last laugh.

Song Review(s): Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros featuring the Wolfpack - “Artificial Flowers,” “Friend of the Devil,” “Big Boss Man,” “Me and My Uncle” and “Shakedown Street” (Live, Dec. 17, 2023)
“I thought I remembered that one better than I did,” Bob Weir told the audience after yelping and slashing his way through a rough-and-tumble rendition of “Artificial Flowers” that found him forgetting lyrics; stopping and starting over; and generally embarrassing himself as he opened his Dec. 17 concert with Wolf Bros featuring the Wolfpack that was livestreamed from New York State.
Maybe things improved in the mid- to late-moments of the first and second sets. Perhaps they did not. In any event, the five-song giveaway epitomized a band having a bad night.
Bassist Don Was and drummer Jay Lane emerged after the solo-acoustic disaster to add skittering rhythm to “Friend of the Devil.” But with amateurish, wildly off-key vocals and an almost comical acoustic-guitar solo from Weir, the rhythm section’s presence didn’t really matter.
The addition of Jeff Chimenti’s piano on “Big Boss Man” resulted in the Bros actually sounding like a semi-professional band despite Weir’s clangy, abrasive electric-guitar tone.
youtube
Chimenti and Barry Sless overlaid sprightly solos on piano and pedal-steel guitar, respectively, during “Me and My Uncle. But the sloppy underpinning rendered their efforts for naught.
Which led to a poorly-sung, 10-piece rendition of “Shakedown Street,” on which the Wolfpack seemed to still be working on its horn and string arrangements. The music was therefore pockmarked with so many quiet holes, the buzz of the monitors bled into the livestream feed.
Grade card: Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros featuring the Wolfpack - “Artificial Flowers,” “Friend of the Devil,” “Big Boss Man,” “Me and My Uncle” and “Shakedown Street” (Live - 12/17/23) - F/D/C+/C/C-

Album Reviews: Neil Young / Stewart Copeland
This week I got to review two albums from music legends:
Neil Young Coastal: The Soundtrack album
To celebrate the release of Neil Young documentary Coastal dropping this week (see my movie review below), this week sees the release of Old Neil's Coastal: The Soundtrack dropping this week from Reprise Records. The soundtrack and the documentary look at his coastal California U.S. tour in 2023 as he returned to live music post-COVID. The songs span his 60+ year career.
album cover
Old Neil is a tremendous live performer, whether it's just him and his guitar or with a band backing him. I saw him at Madison Square Garden in 2008 and he was excellent. Since I began this blog, I've been lucky enough to review some of his live albums including 2022's Noise & Flowers with Promise of the Real and last year I got to review Fu##in Up’ with Crazy Horse. I've also gotten to review studio album and archive releases like Colorado with Crazy Horse, Homegrown, Toast with Crazy Horse, Chrome Dreams, and Early Daze with Crazy Horse. But I digress. Live albums from Old Neil can go any number of ways, but 1979′s Live Rust is his Gold Standard for live albums. Some are good, for other tours or eras it can be hard to capture that magic. This one is interesting in that it's just him and an instrument and it was him just getting back on the road after years off road. In recent years, it's been kind of cool to see the archives opening up with lost albums, archive albums, live albums and documentaries from him. Bottom line: it's cool to see Old Neil is still a great live musician!
For info on Coastal: The Soundtrack
3.5 out of 5 stars
Coastal documentary
Hats off to Jonathan Demme for doing possibly the best job anyone could do with Old Neil's concert films (Neil Young: Heart of Gold, Neil Young Trunk Show, and Neil Young Journeys, all of which I saw in the movie theater). There's been loads of docs about him, but those three captured his live performance on film the best. I've been lucky enough to review other docs of him including Mountaintop about the making of Colorado and Noise & Flowers about his 2019 tour with Promise of the Real, directed by Bernard Shakey (a pseudonym for Neil) and dhlovelife (a pseudonym for Daryl Hannah, Neil’s wife) and is mostly shot in black and white. Neither of those docs came close to the Jonathan Demme docs, but that's also a high bar to climb to. This week, Trafalgar is releasing Coastal for a special one-night screening on April 17.
movie poster
Daryl Hannah is known to many for her acting roles, notably as Elle Driver in the Kill Bill movies (how cool was she whistling down the hall as Elle?), Splash and Wall Street to name a few. She's become quite an activist as well, so it's not surprise she and Neil Young married in 2018 as they are two artists fighting the good fight. In addition to directing Noise & Flowers, she directed the 2022 doc Barn (A Band, A Brotherhood, A Barn) about the making of the Barn album with Crazy Horse. With Coastal, Hannah has made a cinema-verite doc, showing him in his tour bus making observations on the road intermixed with the live performances. It needs to be said that I watched this screener on a laptop and I'm willing to bet this will look spectacular on the big screen! I still hold Demme's concert docs as the Gold Standard of Neil Young docs, but this might be my favorite non-Demme doc of Old Neil! It looks and sounds fantastic and fans are going to devour it!

Stewart Copeland Wild Concerto
While it's been decades since The Police's initial run and over 17 years since their reunion run, drummer Stewart Copeland has done quite a bit outside of The Police, but he's still most known for his work with the legendary trio. In 2023, I got to see guitarist Andy Summers live (and he actually shared my review on his social media), a month and a half later I got to see singer / bassist Sting live, and while I didn’t get to see Copeland I did get to cover his book The Police Diaries. Last year I did get to review the Deluxe Edition of The Police's Synchronicity. All of this has proven to me over the last few years how outstanding those three musicians were both collectively and individually. In addition to his soundtrack scores (that’s his theme song on the Star Wars: Droids cartoon and Richard Linklater's subUrbia!), he has also collaborated with a ton of musicians including Peter Gabriel and Ricky Kej, he is also a very creative force in other ways, such as his documentary Everyone Stares: The Police Inside Out (made out of his super 8 footage while in The Police) and his 2009 book Strange Things Happen: A Life with The Police, Polo and Pygmies. While Sting might've been the primary songwriter in The Police, Copeland got some of his compositions in, including "Miss Gradenko". Now Copeland is back with a new one-of-a-kind album Wild Concerto dropping Friday from Platoon Records.
album cover
I've always loved Copeland's drumming. Loads of drummers like the late great Taylor Hawkins sing his praises too. He has won seven Grammy Awards (both with The Police and for his solo collaborative work). Wild Concerto is a unique album which fuses orchestral composition with authentic animal sounds, recorded in the field by celebrated British naturalist, The Listening Planet’s Martyn Stewart, whose archive of over 100,000 recordings has earned him the moniker ‘The David Attenborough of Sound’. It is entirely instrumental, but it's like it's telling a story not only through music but through animal sounds. This is sort of a hard album to review because it's not like other albums I review, which are purely music based. If you're a fan of The Police like I am, you need to enter this album with the clear understanding that this is not a rock album. But in a way, it does make sense that Copeland would make this because The Police were a group that incorporated various genres including punk, reggae, pop, new wave, jazz, rock, and world music, and it takes a certain level of musicianship to rise to that sound and all of them certainly did, notably Copeland who has dabbled in all different sounds since The Police's heyday.

round up // NOVEMBER 24

Fair warning: November was a lot for me, which is why yet another Round Up is coming at least a full week into the next month. My go-to answer to “How are you?” has become, “I’m hanging in there!” With three weekends out of town, two funerals, and one more election that disappointed me in the deepest of ways, I’m back to a season when the lyrics to “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” feel like Taylor Swift has ripped out that broken heart and reset it to melody.
I know that’s a less pleasant answer than you hoped for when you asked how I was, so perhaps you’ll be relieved to hear only one of my pop culture top 10 this month made me cry. Between Glicked weekend, Awards Season powering ahead full steam, and the Eras Tour (finally!), there was plenty to look forward to and get a respite from the heavy stuff.
November Crowd-Pleasers
1. Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour
After 16 years of listening, 11 albums (depending on how you count), 2 previous tours, and countless attempts to get tickets to previous shows, I finally made it to the Eras Tour! As I noted in my review of the filmed concert last fall, my deep wish is for an up close, intimate show from an artist who has inspired me for so long, and would’t you know it? Sharing her attention with 70,000 other people is a certified way to remind you that will never happen. But it’s a bittersweet reality check to scream the “Cruel Summer” bridge at the top of your lungs in a crowd of friendly people as enthusiastic as you are. Seeing The Tortured Poets Department live brought it to life in a new way I hadn’t imagined, hearing "marjorie" live became a grief processing moment, and I’ve decided I need to find more excuses to wear sequins. Until I find another excuse, I’ll be flipping through The Eras Tour Book on my coffee table.
youtube
2. SNL Round Up
D-O-M-I-N-G-O! If you don’t want to get him stuck in your head, maybe don’t enjoy Marcello Hernández’s most memorable character yet in clips from SNL or from Sabrina Carpenter’s show. But if you don’t mind a catchy tune bringing a a smile to your face at random times during the day (or cathartic laughter to get through election season), don’t skip these:
“2024 Pre-Election Cold Open” (5005 with John Mulaney)
“Stand-Up Monologue” (5005)
“What’s That Name: Election Edition” (5005)
“Port Authority Duane Reade” (5005)
“Weekend Update: The Couple You Can't Believe Are Together” (5005)
“Little Richard” (5005)
“Beppo” (5005)
“New York City Council Campaign” (5005)
“SNL for Trump Cold Open” (5006 with Bill Burr)
“Stand-up Monologue”
“Calling Dad” (5006)
“Babymoon” (5007 with Charli xcx)

3. Wicked: Part One (2024)
Wicked: Part One is the spectacle you’d hope from a smash musical. Sequins! Vocal runs! Large-scale choreography! Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande are excellent successors to Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth, hitting goosebump-worthy notes and harmonies. Read my full review for ZekeFilm. Crowd: 8.5/10 // Critic: 8/10

4. Gladiator II (2024)
Like 2000’s Best Picture winner, Gladiator II is both brutal and exhilarating, but its boldest stroke is finding ways to surprise us after decades of cable viewings of the original. And is any director as great at creating battle sequences than Sir Ridley Scott? Read my full review for ZekeFilm and watch my Glicked weekend reviews for KMOV. Crowd: 10/10 // Critic: 9/10

5. Music by John Williams (2024)
Because sometimes it’s nice to just watch a documentary that can be summed up as, “A nice man is really talented!” Any opportunity to give a genius like John Williams to pontificate on his work is an excellent use of time and film. Crowd: 8.5/10 // Critic: 8/10
MORE NOVEMBER CROWD-PLEASERS // The Peter Pan National Tour finds fun and surprising ways to freshen up the classic story for the stage // The Fire Inside (2024) is an easy recommendation for any sports movie fan // Nightbitch (2024) finds a new (and humorous) angle on motherhood for mainstream movies // The Supremes at Earl’s All-You-Can-Eat (2024) is for the Mystic Pizza girlies
November Critic Picks

1. The Apprentice (2024)
I feared this would be a self-righteous diatribe, but instead it feels like watching The Godfather Part II or Attack of the Clones. The miracle is you don’t have to have see anything else in the franchise for this to feel like its own holistic work thanks to fully realized performances from Sebastian Stan and Jeremy Strong that never turn into caricature. Crowd: 8/10 // Critic: 9/10

2. A Real Pain (2024)
In one of 2024’s top awards contenders, Jesse Eisenberg and Kieran Culkin update Planes, Trains & Automobiles with more gravitas and some of the best performances of the year. Watch my full review on KMOV. Crowd: 8.5/10 // Critic: 9/10

3. The West Wing Weekly Political Film Fest
I was surprised to discover I’ve never recommended The West Wing Weekly podcast in a Round Up, but thanks to Hrishikesh Hirway and Joshua Malina’s new virtual film fest, I’m able to correct that oversight. The duo bring their trademark wit and political insight to their discussions of previous Round Up recommendations like Dave, Dr. Strangelove, A Face in the Crowd, Judas and the Black Messiah, and Network, as well as new-to-me worthwhile watches like The Candidate (1972).

4. Chicago National Tour
Because everybody’s doing choreography, but not as well as this show! Few stage shows inspire so much thought about bodily movement (individually and corporately), justice, and the American dream. The songs really are all that jazz and a bag of chips, too.

5. Good Reads
What I’ve been reading about lately includes…
…pop culture (duh):
“Twisters Press Tour Measured F-5 on the Brisket Scale,” vulture.com (2024)

THOU
Live 'n' Loud
Photographs by Johnny Hubbard
Doomed & Stoned has pure ferocity on display this week, as Baton Rogue sludge pummelers THOU (now in their 20th year) take on Kentucky audiences at the Portal venue in Louisville. Bryan Funck (vocals), Andy Gibbs (guitar), Matthew Thudium (guitar), Mitch Wells (bass), and Tyler Coburn (drums) were snapped earlier this month by the lens of longtime contributor Johnny Hubbard. The doomers have been touring in support of their sixth original full-length album, 'Umbilical' (2024).
"This record is for the radicals, the crackpots, the exiles who have escaped the wasteland of capitulation," says the band. "This record is for the militants and zealots refusing to surrender to comforts, to practicalities, to thirty pieces of silver. And this record is most especially for the weaklings and malingerers, burdened by capricious indulgence, hunched by the deep wounds of compromise, shuffling in limp approximation, desperately reaching back towards integrity and conviction."

At last, as we plunge into the abscess, blighted spirits so bereft. Shameful weeping, voices echo from the bottom of a well. Can you hear the cries of worn out phrases from listless gazes, pretentious lingering in childish phases, the heartless hand and empty gestures, the pitiful searching for hollow pleasures. Lost in a palace of mirrors, staring at infinite reflections gazing back, too near to see the mark of shame. Lost in empty dialectics, the art of building up and tearing down, of discussing all things and accomplishing nothing. Of compromised ideals, friendships abandoned, our works substandard, principles meandering. So speak our names as a warning, as a curse, as a failure. At last, it's time to die. So die.
Umbilical by Thou

Everything you've ever done, everything you've ever said, everything you've ever felt is a dagger on my belt. And I'm going to stab it till you're dead to me. Everything I've ever done, everything I've ever said, everything I've ever felt is a chain around my neck. And you're going to drag it till I'm dead to me. I thought nothing could come between us, two dreamers. But our mistakes are etched in stone till the end of our lives, till the end of time. And we're being crushed beneath the weight.
Umbilical by Thou

When the shrieking eye turns inward to the prison without locks, weakness laid bare. The artifice peeled back. The true face is revealed. To see the walls of limitation, grey skinned and impure, that righteous incoherence. When the shrieking eye turns inward, weakness is laid bare.
Umbilical by Thou

Unclench those fists and release that white knuckled grip, a resolution to fruitless searching, a renouncement of sentimental frailty. Farewell, age’ed stalwarts. Farewell, stagnant corruption. Arise from our deathbed. Return to life and walk away. Life used to be so hard, now everything is easy. Turn back the page with my friend, with my friend from so far away. We've seen how love can grow, now we see how it dies. Peace has finally come upon me, and it leaves me weak. Farewell, age’ed stalwarts. Farewell, ancient corruption. Arise from our deathbed. Return to life and walk away. And I’m not coming back.
Umbilical by Thou

Liza Minnelli to release tell-all memoir

Liza Minnelli to release tell-all memoir

Liza Minnelli is to release a memoir after a “sabotaged Oscars appearance” left her “mad as hell”.
The 78-year-old will release the book in the first half of 2026, which will take readers through her famous family, her career, struggles with substance abuse, and love life.
“Since I was old enough to put pencil to paper, people asked me to write books about my career,” Minnelli said in a statement to PEOPLE.
“‘Absolutely not! ‘Tell it when I’m gone!’ Was my philosophy,” the star adds.
However, a “series of unfortunate events” changed her mind when it comes to writing about her “life, loves and family.”
Those included, according to Minnelli, “a sabotaged appearance at the Oscars,” “a film with twisted half-truths ” and “a recent miniseries that just didn’t get it right … All made by people who didn’t know my family, and don’t really know me.”

“Finally, I was mad as hell!” the star continued. “Over dinner one night, I decided, it’s my own d— story … I’m gonna share it with you because of all the love you’ve given me.”
Minnelli is one of just 25 people to have won an EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Award) and is best known for 1972’s Cabaret, her TV concert film Liza With A Z and Martin Scorsese’s 1977 musical-drama New York, New York.
In the early 2000s, she had a recurring role in the satirical sitcom Arrested Development.
Despite her recent challenges, Liza’s memoir is set to be a love letter to her fans.
With a wink toward lyrics from Cabaret’s Maybe This Time Minnelli said that now, “after incredible events and life-threatening battles … I am truly ‘Lady Peaceful, Lady Happy.'”
“Thank you all for loving me so much … being concerned about me,” she said.
“I want you to know I’m still here, still kicking a–, still loving life and still creating. So, until this book arrives, know that I’m laughing, safe in every way, surrounded by loved ones and excited to see what’s right around the curve of life.
“Kids, wait ‘til you hear this.”

spell out your username with songs
I got tagged by the loveliest @multiimoments and @emjayeingray to spell out my URL with song titles. It took me forever because it's so long
I'm supposed to tag people but really consider yourself tagged if you see this because tagging gives me social anxiety lol
D - Don't Blame Me by Taylor Swift, this song live is basically like an out of body experience, and I can't wait for Rep (TV) This is me asking, begging, for the live version to drop
R - Rhiannon by Fleetwood Mac, the live 1966 version from the deluxe version. I have grown to reallly really like and listen to Fleetwood Mac andd this song was the first that I hadn't heard in other places
E - Evermore by Taylor Swift, the piano part towards the end of the song makes me think of sunlight and all things light, and I'm an Evermore girlie I wasn't sure about the piano picking up at first but then it just clicked in my brain and I'm obsessed
A - A&W by Lana Del Rey, Am I super late to the Lana train? Absolutely. But I have finally seen the error of my ways. Mainly I stopped judging her music on the one single I heard, Summer Time Sadness which I HATED, also I stopped avoiding things because other people liked them This was the first album that came out since I've begun to listen to her, and this is my favorite song off of it
M - Mermaids by Florence and The Machine, this song is EVERYTHING, I'm absolutely obsessed with it and have been since it released. It's like my little hyper fixation. Florence can do no wrong.
L - Little Freak by Harry Styles, I loved this song the moment I heard it, and I actually realy relate to the idea of the song. It was a crime this song didn't make the set list
A - Another Brick in the Wall pt 2 by Pink Floyd, I had a whole classic rock stage where I went back to listen to all the classic songs and this one was arguably my favorite of them all (and it still is if i'm honest)
N - No Light, No Light by Florence and The Machine, This song is literally Feyre in ACOTAR and I love a good book to music connection If I can't relate to it then I can find someone I've read about
D - Difficult by Gracie Abrams, this song has been so important in my self-healing journey Ironic in a way with the lyrics I know I was very lucky that Gracie opened at my Eras concert
-
I - I Want You (She's So Heavy) by The Beatles, favorite Beatles song ever! This song can come up on shuffle with any vibe and it will always become the vibe. I am literally incapable of skipping this song
V - Voulez Vous by Abba, is Mamma Mia one of my favorite comfort movies? Yes. Did they get me to listen to Abba? Absolutely. Do I also listen to the movie soundtrack? 100%
Y - Year In Review by The Black Keys, I'd say the Black Keys are one of my now core bands that I know I'll always like amd listen to, and they have quite a few songs that I relate to personally or just absolutely love the sound of this one is kinda both
-
R - Regret Me by Daisy Jones and The Six, I totally did include a fake band from a show based on a book. Sorry, not sorry because they're going to be in my top played this year for my wrapped. I literally can't bring myself to stop listening to them though
E - everything I wanted by Billie Eilish, probably one of my favorite Billie songs
A - Angel Of Small Death & The Codeine Scene by Hozier, I'll be honest and say that I had been meaning to listen to Hozier for YEARS but somehow I always forgot or didn't get to it. BUT now that I have thx Daylist I am kicking myself for not doing it sooner because the hype was real and warranted
D - Do I Wanna Know by Arctic Monkeys, it was my first introduction to them as a band so this song has a special place as does the peak 2014 Tumblr era but you know without the toxicity
S - Supermassive Black Hole by Muse, the Twilight scene with this song is ICONIC for a reason, also I used to have the DVD as a kid and it has the Wembley performance of this song and another Muse song, and when I tell you I had them on repeat, I mean it Siriusly hehe I'm sure I saw it a 17377274793 times
Did I have to be this thorough? Probably not, oops
