Aston Martin DB4 GT Lightweight
From a sporting - if not necessarily a commercial - perspective, 1959 proved to be the most important year in Aston Martin’s history. At their twentieth attempt, they finally won the coveted Le Mans 24 Hours race; a result which proved instrumental in securing the World Championship for Sports Cars later that year. However, just one month previously, Stirling Moss had driven a striking new prototype GT - internally designated as DP199/1, but publicly identified as a DB4 GT - to victory on its race debut at Silverstone; a result which would also have similarly far-reaching implications for the company. Suitably refined, the definitive “Production” specification DB4 GT was publicly unveiled at the London Motor Show in September 1959. In effect a shorter-wheelbase and significantly lightened version of the company’s incumbent DB4 model, it was powered by a 3.7-litre, twin-plug ignition straight-six engine similar to that previously used in the magnificently brutal DBR2. Crucially, the car would be available in either roadgoing or racing specification, and in either left- or right-hand drive.A mere 75 Touring- and 19 Zagato-bodied DB4GTs were constructed, of which this example was numerically the 24th.

Wait. “Never”? Not even after Dipper crosses the threshold of puberty and catches up with “Ash”? (By then, I figure there’s no further history to change). On a side-note, the two counterparts fixed that game earlier. I wonder about that... Clearly the events of Dipper’s Birthday Rumble 3 didn’t happen in the alternate-future. I wonder what the purpose behind those repairs was.., And I wonder if that statement about that evil-mask was true...
1. As of this moment, Dipper will have no idea that’s his future counterpart. “Ash” made sure he looked the farthest thing from a “future Dipper” so that no one would suspect anything even when looking at the two side by side (as you, the audience had). He purposely dressed up like someone out of Wendy’s clique to catch her interests and keep an eye out for trouble. Problem is that he made himself a bit too comfortable (and who can blame him?)2. Good eye! For those confused, check the last chapters of DBR2, as well as the intro for DBR3, to see where the comic fits into this mess. But because there was no Wendy in the Alt-Future, doesn’t mean that the threats of the gaming world were gone - just dormant. To piggyback from above, the whole “Ash” and “Dipper” thing is kinda like the point of “Time Traveler’s Pig.” Future Dip knew what was gonna happened, tried to take control while making up for lost time with Wendy (his real “Second Chance”), but found no matter what he did, he couldn’t change the fate that his younger self and Wendy would end up in the BES’s clutches. So, he did the only thing he could do to save Wendy and avoid a future without her.If Present Dipper knew the truth, he could go back in time and try to save his future self, but risk resetting the timeline and risking Wendy’s life. And with the next page, you’ll see the consequences of such a sacrifice...

Ford Lotus Cortina Mk. I FIA
There are few road and racing cars more instantly recognised with its violent green arrow pointing it's way so clearly to success. Using Ford's eponymous two-door saloon and Colin Chapman's indomitable reputation for the twin-cam engine, the marriage was made in heaven. Chapman commissioned Harry Mundy, he of Coventry Climax fame to come up with a twin-cam version of Ford’s Kent engine. Keith Duckworth from Cosworth tuned the motor and the 1.6 litre unit was born. Together with the same close-ratio gearbox as the Elan, some drastically altered suspension and lightweight alloy panels used for doors, bonnet and boot, weight began to be shed and lap times dropped. The interior received un updated dash featuring the necessary dials, uprated seating and a wood-rimmed steering wheel. A year after this example was produced, the ally body panels made way for steel ones. Again, making this one all the more collectable. The Cortina Lotus had by this time earned an impressive competition reputation. Motor Sport greats such as Graham Hill, Jackie Stewart, Vic Elford, Jack Sears, Sir John Whitmore, and Jacky Ickx all raced them and helped the car gain the iconic status it has today. Indeed I think wordsmith, Paul Chudecki, summed up one of this car’s most famous former drivers when writing for Magneto magazine, Rex Woodgate, when he competed both at the Nürburgring and Brands Hatch, describing him as “Former race mechanic to an up-and-coming Stirling Moss, ex-HWM and Vanwall race mechanic, builder of Aston Martin’s sports-racing cars, manager of the Elisha Walker DBR2 team and the face of Aston Martin in North America for two decades, [as well as] renowned Aston race-preparation specialist.
