11/01/25 Basswell al Bolgia - Bergamo

Al Bolgia di Bergamo, ormai un riferimento sicuro della scena elettronica europea, il ritmo del 2025 resta decisamente scatenato. Sabato 11 gennaio 2025 sul palco arriva Basswell e con lui sul palco c'è anche Irregular Synth.

Oltre 300.000 follower su Instagram, il francese Basswell è da tempo uno dei protagonisti della scena hard techno globale. Il suo stile, potente, veloce e deciso mette insieme l'energia di techno e rave. Supportato da leader della scena underground come Amelie Lens, Shlømo o Kobosil, Basswell suona ormai in tutto il mondo. Il Capodanno 2025, ad esempio, l'ha passato facendo scatenare Los Angeles, mentre il 5 gennaio ha fatto muovere a tempo Atene. La corsa estate, invece, è stato protagonista di un evento firmato Boiler Room. Produttore talentuoso e prolifico, tra le sue tante tracceha pubblicato bombe come "Bass Down Low", "Around" e "Hear the Sound", sul label come Exhale e Color.

Con Basewell, al Bolgia di Bergamo, sabato 11 gennaio '25 c'è anche Irregular Synth. Napoletano, è un dj producer che sul palco porta uno stile  techno decisamente personale. In decisa ascesa nella scena internazionale, pubblica la sua musica su label come MB Elektronics, Loose, Pornographic ed Agile, perfette per far sentire al mondo tutta òa sua energia. Completano il line up della Main Room del Bolgia WM e Rea K. 

In Lab Room va invece in scena l'evento Hell of Fire. In console ci sono prima di tutto Predator, Giangy e Tommy 171. Con loro anche Moonlight, Black Frequency, Dustin,  Holland e Polec. Al Bolgia di Bergamo l'11 gennaio 2025 si balla dalle 23 e 30 fino alle 6 del mattino. 

L'appuntamento di sabato 11 gennaio 2025 al Bolgia di Bergamo con Basewell arriva dopo le performance di decine e decine di artisti di livello assoluto. I spent saturday night this weekend in my bedroom reading my drum machine manual hahahaa. for a moment i became aware that i was in big city berlin on a weekend, ripe hour to go out and queue, and there was nothing that could top the thrill of nerding out over a new machine. elektron rhythm mk-ii btw ;) which I picked up in LA in jan. I routed it through a DJ mixer along with my minilogue actually! ahhh! the adrenaline of the twist of a knob..

10 Randomised Breakbeats for Sequencers

10 sequencer scores for breakbeats with percentage chances.

Original source is the Breakbeat Bible by Mike Adamo.

The text sequences where developed for the Elektron sequencers Conditional steps changed to percentages for a broader range of sequencers. 

Adamo has examples over 8 bars which have been compressed into one bar with percentage chances of hits. 

The initial idea was for use with the Elektron Rytm and then the Polyend Play to explore their chance based features.

These two sequences have features for conditional steps which have been changes to percentage values for more generalised sequencers.

These scores will sound different to the initial score because of the randomisation and due to different drum kits being used 

while providing an overall feel for the patten. 

One aim of the system is not to duplicate the beat but to provide a basis for variations depending on the needs of the producer and the features of the drum machine.

Studying the breakbeats can be helpful in creating your own.

Breakbeats are used because there is more variety than the standard 4x4 of EDM but if the Kick a shifted a bit and percentages changed these patten can be used. 

Having an initial patten and then using the features of your drum machine is also a useful way to learn the features and gain mastery.
