The New York Police Department named 2020 [University of Pennsylvania] Engineering graduate Luigi Mangione as a “strong person of interest” in the ongoing murder investigation of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. In 2016, Mangione founded Penn’s Game Research and Development Environment, also known as UPGRADE. The game development club aimed to “foster creative expression and cultivate career skills for the artists, programmers, and creatives interested in game development in the Penn community” and grew to include over 50 members. Shortly after the press conference, a Penn Today article about UPGRADE which featured several quotes from Mangione was removed from the website, and a link to the page now directs to an error message. In the article, Mangione discussed his interest in programming and his experience founding the club. In 2017, The Daily Pennsylvanian reported on UPGRADE's attempts to move away from Penn's competitive club culture by admitting anyone who is willing to join without an application. “We discussed if we would seem more legitimate with an application, but that’s not the environment we’re going for. Our goal is to have fun and learn,” Mangione told the DP at the time. “As long as you’re willing to put in the time, you can be a game developer.” In 2018, Mangione — a computer and information science major — was inducted into Penn’s Eta Kappa Nu honor society for excellence in electrical and computer engineering.

DC x DP or Marvel Prompt: The Gremlin Janitor
When Wayne Enterprises/Stark Industries hire two new people at the same time who just happened to share the same two references they just though it was a weird coincidence. After all, one was hired on as a programmer due to his excellent hacking abilities while the other was hired on as a Janitor.
They of course ran background checks on both of them but they came up clear. Fresh out of High School, lived in the area, came from Amity Park Illinois, and no criminal record outside of what they had actively admitted to which was only the one who was hired as a Programmer. He got caught for Hacking - hence how they knew about his skills.
But what caught everybody off guard was the first meeting.
Tucker Foley is rather tall, looks his age, and despite looking around like a kid in a candy store seems to have everything in order.
But then there's Danny Fenton. He looks too young to be out of High School though all of his information was sound and he even had paper documentation and other such proof that he was 19 and was as he claimed "Just short". But he was just here to be a janitor.
So did it truely matter?
If anybody was going to be a security risk it would be the hacker with a record.
The first week goes smoothly, but half way through the second week things start to get noticed. Not about Tucker but about Danny. Sure, there had been plenty of comments about his age but other than that he was just praised as being a hard worker even if he didn't understand the concept of wearing a mask and gloves around spilled chemicals.
But no injuries were reported any time he did this. Even when an experimental suit went out of control and started rushing through the building. It was small compared to some of the other tech, but it was still over six feet tall and easily 400 pounds. It wasn't necessarily on a rampage but it was out of control. People ran out of the way, tried to block it, but nobody was successful until Danny - short as hell Danny Fenton - threw himself right in front of it.
Danny blocked it, with just his forearm, stopping it from running over an intern who had been running from the area in fear of getting crushed by the machine. The intern would report that the area was terribly cold when Danny did this but when Tucker came out of hiding a few seconds later saying the machine had been shut down they attributed the cold to anxiety and figured that Tucker had stopped the machine before it had actually hit Danny.
A few weeks later there was a break in the dead of the night, a fight between the intruder and Danny broke out and again Danny held his own and managed to chase off the intruder but not before one of the metal tables were snapped in half. Danny claimed that the intruder had some kind of blade on his arm that cut through it but it was clearly not cut through.
After that Bruce/Tony starts paying more attention to Danny.
More and more minor things popped up until they were finally driven to a point where they just had to meet this kid in person and see him work.
Within moments of arriving they saw Danny Fenton pick up spilled container of Hydrofloric Acid like it was nothing. Which was just one of MANY things that Danny did within an hour that should have ended in disaster.
The final straw though was when Bruce/Tony decided to finally approach Danny and caught him yelling at a box that was mysteriously floating a few feet off the ground.
"PUT THAT THING BACK WHERE IT CAME FROM OR SO HELP ME!" The box then dropped, Danny let out a hiss that sounded like a feral animal, then turned and made eyecontact with the man a few feet from him. Danny's only response? To lean against the broom he was holding and smile. "Oh, hey boss!"

a long road
Pagi ini seperti biasa. Gue reading tentang game design bareng Farras sama Pengky.
Gue tuh suka banget nonton drama, nonton film, nonton video klip, main game story driven, baca webtoon dst.
Tapi makin kesini, gue ngerasa jalannya terjal banget.
"You deserve a supportive environment"

Hello Latte ! :) I am currently a student in ICSE and will be switching to IB next year. But the problem is I'm quiet literally unaware of most things about this curriculum. I know about TOK , EE and CAS and other general stuff. I was curious as to how the exams are conducted and how are they graded. I am having trouble understanding how my marks will get converted into points 1 to 7. Could you help me out ?
Hello! So the exams are still out of a lot of marks. Teachers are supposed to show you criteria to get a desired grade for each subject. The grades (1 to 7) depends on the percentage. Say for example, a test is out of 25 marks. If you get over a certain percentage ex: 55%, then you get a 5. (I'm using an example from some of my business tests)
Getting a 5 is easy if you put in a regular amount of work, but getting a 6 and a 7 is pretty hard and only gets harder since you have the entire syllabus to cover. Especially if you have subjects which give you essay questions on the test, because then a 7 depends on the quality of your essay.
I'm not sure if you know about the Internal Assessments so I'll just mention them here. IAs do contribute to the overall grade in the subject (most IAs are 20% of the final grade). My only advice for those is: don't procrastinate on those, get it done on time. Each subject also has at least 2 papers, sometimes 3 papers. Languages will have 4 (Reading, writing, speaking, listening). These papers also contribute a certain percentage to your final IB score.
As for how the exams are conducted, I think that depends on how your school decides to conduct it. But it will be rigid. A lot of people in my school focused on their DP year 1 exams because those are the grades many people apply to uni with (they're only the predicted grades, not the final).
Good luck for the IB and good on you that you did your research! It's the world's toughest high school programme for a reason :')

Best IB Schools in India for Global-Minded Students
In today’s world, global awareness, cultural understanding, and international experience have become more essential than ever. The International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum stands out as a leading choice for forward-thinking education. More and more parents are looking beyond traditional learning and choosing schools that encourage curiosity, innovation, ethics, and a global mindset.
India is home to a growing number of institutions that meet these expectations, and among the best IB schools in India, Pathways World School Gurgaon has earned a top reputation. Known for its commitment to holistic development and international standards, Pathways shapes confident learners with a strong global perspective, ready to thrive in an ever-changing world.
In this article, we’ll explore why IB schools are ideal for globally-minded students, the rising demand for international education in India.
The Rise of IB Education in India
India’s education system is changing quickly, and more parents are now choosing international programmes like the International Baccalaureate (IB). In big cities and growing towns, the IB is becoming popular because it focuses on well-rounded, question-based learning—not just textbook studies.
The IB curriculum is trusted by parents in India for encouraging critical thinking, cultural understanding, and practical, real-world learning. It is divided into three main programmes, each designed for a specific age group:
Primary Years Programme (PYP): for students aged 3 to 12
Middle Years Programme (MYP): for students aged 11 to 16
Diploma Programme (DP): for students aged 16 to 19
Unlike traditional memorization-based learning, the best IB schools in India help children truly understand concepts, work on meaningful projects, and follow learning paths that suit their interests. This kind of education is perfect for students who dream of studying abroad or building successful careers in today’s global world.
What Does It Mean to Be a Global-Minded Student?
A global-minded student is one who appreciates cultures beyond their own, understands the interaction of the world, and can adapt, collaborate, and lead in diverse environments. In IB schools, this global perspective is not just taught — it's embedded into every part of the syllabus.
Through exposure to international issues, diverse viewpoints, and community engagement, students develop empathy, critical thinking, and communication skills. The IB Learner Profile, which includes attributes like being reflective, caring, and open-minded, shapes students into compassionate and responsible global citizens.
Why Pathways World School Leads the Way
In today’s fast-changing and connected world, education needs to be more than just books and exams. Understanding the world, respecting different cultures, and gaining international experience are now important parts of learning. That’s why the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme is becoming more popular, especially in a growing country like India.
Increasingly, parents are seeking out schools that prepare their children not only for academic success but also to become compassionate, thoughtful, and globally competent individuals. The best IB schools in India are the ones that promote this vision—where learning goes beyond classrooms and extends into the real world. Among these institutions, Pathways World School Gurgaon has emerged as a pioneer, offering students a truly global learning experience that balances innovation with values, and academics with character.
The Rise of IB in India’s Educational Landscape
India’s education system is seeing a rising interest in international learning, and the IB is leading this change. In cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, more families are choosing international schools that focus on overall development and curiosity-driven learning. The IB programme is designed to help students become thoughtful, responsible, and active individuals who can make a positive difference in the world.
Structured across three core programmes—the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for students aged 3 to 12, the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for ages 11 to 16, and the Diploma Programme (DP) for ages 16 to 19—the IB offers a consistent learning journey that encourages curiosity and application. In contrast to rote-based models, the best IB schools in India emphasize conceptual learning, project-based assessment, and student agency. These qualities make IB schools especially appealing to families with aspirations for international university placements or global career pathways.
Global-Mindedness: The Heart of IB Education
At the core of IB education lies the principle of global-mindedness. A globally-minded student is someone who understands different perspectives, values cultural diversity, and is prepared to work collaboratively across borders. IB schools aim to instill these values not through lectures, but through lived experience.
The IB Learner Profile outlines ten essential attributes that define an IB learner—being reflective, principled, open-minded, caring, and knowledgeable, among others. These attributes aren’t just ideals printed in a handbook. At schools like Pathways, they are actively connected into daily lessons, projects, interactions, and community service. Students are encouraged to ask tough questions, challenge assumptions, and explore global issues like climate change, poverty, and peace-building with a local as well as international lens.
Such an approach does more than enhance academic performance. It nurtures individuals who are capable of leading with empathy and solving real-world problems with creativity and courage.
Pathways World School Gurgaon: A Leader in Global IB Education
Located in the scenic Aravalli Hills just outside Gurgaon, Pathways World School is regarded as one of India’s leading IB institutions. As an authorised IB Continuum School, it offers the full range of IB programmes—PYP, MYP, and DP—providing students with a cohesive and well-structured educational journey from early years through to graduation.
Founded with the mission to combine international best practices with Indian values, Pathways has earned a reputation for nurturing leaders who are not only academically proficient but also emotionally intelligent and socially aware.
The academic structure at Pathways is thoughtfully designed. In the Primary Years Programme, young learners engage with the world through play, inquiry, and discovery. They are guided to explore topics that interest them while developing core literacy and numeracy skills. As students transition into the Middle Years Programme, the focus shifts to interdisciplinary learning, where subjects are connected through real-life themes and challenges. This builds critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
By the time students reach the Diploma Programme, they are well-versed in independent research, critical thinking, and global awareness. Through challenging coursework, extended essays, and Theory of Knowledge, they are equipped not only for success at leading universities but also for lifelong learning and meaningful engagement with the world.
A Truly International School Community
What sets Pathways apart is not just its curriculum, but its community. With faculty and students representing over 40 nationalities, the school functions like a miniature United Nations. Daily interactions with peers from different cultures help students develop cross-cultural understanding, adaptability, and empathy.
Students at Pathways gain meaningful global exposure through a wide range of enriching experiences. Model United Nations (MUN), international exchange programmes, and global collaborative projects provide hands-on learning in areas such as diplomacy, communication, and leadership. The school environment further promotes inclusivity through foreign language learning and vibrant multicultural celebrations, helping students appreciate diverse cultures and global perspectives.
This kind of diversity cannot be replicated through textbooks. It is lived, experienced, and internalized—making a lasting impact on the character and worldview of each learner.
World-Class Infrastructure and Living Environment

Navigating the Nuances of Language: The Value of IB MYP English Tutors
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) is a rigorous framework designed to foster critical thinking, inquiry-based learning, and interdisciplinary understanding in students aged 11 to 16. Within this comprehensive program, English Language and Literature plays a pivotal role, challenging students to not only master the intricacies of the English language but also to engage deeply with diverse texts and express themselves with clarity and sophistication. For many students, the demands of the MYP English curriculum can be significant, making the guidance of a dedicated IB MYP English tutor an invaluable asset.
Why IB MYP English is Unique and Challenging
The MYP English Language and Literature course goes beyond traditional grammar lessons and basic comprehension. It encourages students to:
Develop analytical skills: Students are expected to critically analyze a wide range of literary and non-literary texts, identifying themes, literary devices, and authorial intent.
Cultivate effective communication: The program emphasizes both written and spoken communication, requiring students to express ideas clearly, coherently, and persuasively in various forms.
Embrace interdisciplinary connections: English is often linked to other MYP subjects, fostering a holistic understanding of concepts and encouraging students to draw connections across disciplines.
Foster intercultural understanding: Through the study of diverse narratives and perspectives, students develop empathy and an appreciation for different cultures.
Engage in inquiry-based learning: The MYP encourages students to ask questions, explore ideas independently, and take ownership of their learning.
These multifaceted demands can be overwhelming for some students, particularly those transitioning into the MYP or facing specific learning challenges.
The Role and Benefits of an IB MYP English Tutor
An IB MYP English tutor serves as a personalized guide, offering tailored support to help students excel. Their expertise goes beyond simply explaining concepts; they help students develop the critical thinking and communication skills essential for success in the MYP and beyond. Here are some key benefits:
Personalized Learning: Tutors can identify a student's specific strengths and weaknesses, creating customized lesson plans that address individual learning styles and needs. This targeted approach ensures that students receive support where they need it most, whether it's in textual analysis, essay writing, or oral presentations.
Deepening Understanding: Tutors can break down complex literary works, explaining themes, character development, and cultural contexts in an accessible and engaging manner. They help students move beyond rote learning to develop a deeper and more nuanced understanding of the subject matter.
Developing Critical Thinking: MYP English tutors emphasize analytical and evaluative skills, providing students with strategies to dissect texts, formulate arguments, and support their interpretations with evidence.
Mastering Assessment Criteria: Tutors are familiar with the specific assessment criteria of the IB MYP, including eAssessments, Personal Projects, and Interdisciplinary Units. They can guide students in understanding what is expected of them and provide targeted feedback to improve their performance.
Building Confidence: One-on-one tutoring sessions create a safe and supportive environment where students can ask questions freely, make mistakes, and receive constructive feedback without fear of judgment. This boosts their confidence in expressing their ideas and tackling challenging assignments.
Effective Time Management: The MYP demands strong organizational and time management skills. Tutors can help students plan their study schedules, manage assignments, and prepare effectively for exams.
Preparation for the DP: Success in MYP English lays a strong foundation for the demanding IB Diploma Programme (DP). Tutors can help bridge any learning gaps and prepare students for the increased academic rigor of the DP.
What to Look for in an IB MYP English Tutor
Choosing the right tutor is crucial for a positive and effective learning experience. Consider the following factors:
IB Expertise: Look for tutors who have direct experience teaching the IB MYP English Language and Literature curriculum, ideally with a background as an IB educator or examiner. They should be familiar with the MYP philosophy, assessment objectives, and pedagogical approaches.
Strong Subject Knowledge: A tutor should possess a deep understanding of English language and literature, including various literary genres, analytical frameworks, and writing conventions.
Personalized Teaching Approach: The best tutors adapt their methods to suit the student's learning style, offering flexible and engaging sessions.
Communication Skills: Effective tutors are excellent communicators who can explain complex concepts clearly, listen attentively to student concerns, and provide constructive feedback.
Proven Track Record: Inquire about their success rate, testimonials from other IB students, or their ability to help students achieve their academic goals.
Availability and Flexibility: Ensure the tutor's schedule aligns with your needs, especially if you require online sessions or specific timings.
Finding an IB MYP English Tutor
Numerous options exist for finding qualified IB MYP English tutors:
Online Tutoring Platforms: Platforms like TutorChase, Think Smart, and Sev7n specialize in IB tutoring, offering a wide pool of experienced online tutors. These platforms often provide trial sessions, detailed tutor profiles, and secure learning environments.
Local Tutoring Centers: Many cities have tutoring centers that cater to IB students.
School Recommendations: Your child's school or English teacher may be able to recommend qualified tutors.
Word-of-Mouth: Ask other parents or students for recommendations.
While costs can vary, typically ranging from ₹500 to ₹5000 per hour in India depending on experience and platform, the investment in an expert IB MYP English tutor can yield significant returns in terms of academic achievement, enhanced confidence, and a deeper appreciation for the power of language and literature.

ELA Green School Buzzed with Innovation at Our Robotics Exhibition!
At ELA Green School, innovation isnt just another lesson, its how we tackle every day. That spirit lit up our recent Robotics Exhibition, as bright young creators from the Middle Years Programme MYP and Diploma Programme DP teamed up to present a stunning lineup of student-built machines. Visitors cheered for tiny dancers twirling to music, sorters that organized coloured blocks, and sensors spinning into action whenever someone walked past- each project a peek into what happens when curiosity meets coding and teamwork.

Beyond showing off cool gadgets, our students proved how the International Baccalaureate IB framework sharpens critical thinking, design skills, and a sense of global responsibility. Its that blend of inquiry and action that keeps ELA Green School among Chengalpattus top IB syllabus schools and makes sure innovation runs through every subject.
A Glimpse into the Future
Strolling around the show floor felt like stepping into a tomorrow built by bright minds. The MYP crew wowed onlookers with mixed-code-and-microchip builds, from line-followers to color-sorting mini conveyors. The older DP students raised the bar, adding AI smarts and touch-free control to nearly every gadget. One standout squad even rolled out a simple helper robot meant to lighten daily chores for seniors-a sweet mix of care and tech.

Yet it was the calm, clear way our learners spoke that lingered most. They moved past wires and numbers, framing their work as tools to ease labor, tackle clutter, and spark small changes. Parents, teachers, and curious tinkerers left the room buzzing with new hope and fresh ideas.
Learning Beyond the Textbook
Last weeks robotics showcase proved once again that real learning happens when students get their hands dirty. As one of Guduvancherys top IB schools, we hold firm to the idea that school should let learners explore, invent, and put ideas into action instead of only copying notes. Because robotics pulls together computer science, engineering, and ethics, it pushes young minds to see problems from many angles at once.
Beginning with rough sketches and brainstorming, our pupils moved through every step of the engineering cycle-coding, testing, tweaking, and finally presenting their robots to judges. Along the way they shared roles, embraced setbacks, and picked up the teamwork and resilience that employers now ask for everywhere.

MS Word Legal - Search Replace and Wildcards
This latest book is for those want to take another comfortable leap forward...It was so much easier than I had anticipated. I don’t care if you are an IT Professional, a Word Processing Center Operator, a Secretary or Business Professional, you are going to benefit from this book.
When you hear the word “Wildcards,” many people turn off, run away and just feel that it is something a programmer type deals with. I know I did for sure!
What if Wildcards were explained to you where you can make use of them right away? I mean everything dissected and shown to you in plain language what each piece does for you. Wait until you get rid of certain things in minutes that used to take hours. By the end of the book you will be comfortable with the language of Wildcards.
What if you have the chance to add another invaluable piece of knowledge to your skill level and significantly cut down on much of the grunt work that you now go through? The current book will help you to do just that.
MS Word Legal - Search Replace and Wildcards will open your eyes!
Here is what we will cover!
1. 33 Chapters meaning 33 distinct scenarios. Most of you will instantly recognize these scenarios and say “You mean I can just do a few keystrokes to take care of this in seconds”?
2. A mixture of both non-Wildcard related scenarios and Wildcard related scenarios. Everything is thoroughly explained. You will learn a ton as you do with all my books.
3. An amazing workbook that will supply you with text so that you can try out each individual Find and Replace scenario.
4. These Find and Replace scenarios can all be done as Macros so once you are comfortable with a particular Find and Replace that you find valuable, you or someone at work, can create a Macro for you and everyone else to benefit.
5. Learn aspects of MS Word that most of your colleagues will never know. Be ahead of your competition.
6. This is a Teacher Connected book so you can reach out to me for help as you can with my other Teacher Connected books.
This book will help open the door to giving you the ability to double your power as a Word Processing Operator Secretary, Paralegal or IT Professional. Information is out there, but it is disjointed and many do not know how to speak to non programmer types. I spent around 100 plus hours In putting together the chapters of this book. For some of the chapters, it took 3-4 hours of research and experimentation. I provide you with a workbook so that you can do a number of the Chapters along with me.
Don’t be satisfied with your current level of knowledge. Take all the opportunity to improve. This is a lot easier than you ever thought!
