Super Robot Wars Y (did I find out it was announced only five days after the fact)
I have no reason to believe Super Robot Wars Y is going to be better than the VTX Trilogy or 30*, but I'll reserve my judgement until more info/trailers come out.
Trust me, I don't like being pessimistic about a game series I've played/enjoyed a mere fraction of, but at this point I would hand Bamco money if they translated/rereleased the older games. At least I'd PROBABLY enjoy those.
...but if I DO decide to get Y, I hope Sgt. Frog makes a triumphant main-series debut. Gurren Lagann in the same game as G Gundam would be super cool. Unless that already happened... well, it should happen AGAIN. And Giant Robo, but I doubt that'll return at this rate. I'd like to see Fighbird in, too.
I feel like there are some other mecha shows I'd want to see debut/return, but who even cares about Laserion or Daikengo?** Taekwon V? Gekiganger 3?? GEPPY X??? MEGAS XLR?!?!
*I played T, which was bad enough, but V, X, and 30 didn't look much better from what I saw. I'm still mad Van and Domon weren't human units, given they could fight outside of mechs and were basically tethered together for the plot's sake. And Spike could have fought Vicious at least once before they resolved everything off-screen, I mean come on.
**I like the premise of "Dork Pilots Robot with Keyboard", but no idea how the show itself is. Also, I know nothing about Daikengo except the theme song is cool, along with the robot itself. Isn't that how they get you?
