The whole mess still didn't feel real. Nothing had felt real to Wheeler Yuta since the first attack on Bryan Danielson at the end of All Out. Nothing had felt real to Wheeler Yuta since he had nearly collapsed in his grief, screaming at the top of his lungs, pleading for Claudio to let him do something, anything, to help their friends from trying to kill each other. To stop Moxley from killing Bryan with the plastic bag wrapped around his head, as if Moxley were some sort of serial killer.
And yet, somehow worse had been the look of pity, the look of disappointment in the eyes of Claudio Castagnoli.
As much as he would have liked to pretend otherwise, Wheeler knew that Danielson had never been the one on his side. How many times had Bryan said that he would have rather had someone like Daniel Garcia in the ranks of the Blackpool Combat Club? It didn't matter how many times Wheeler had proven that he was bound to the others by blood, a family forged in the first of combat. Bryan still seemed to regard Wheeler as if he were lesser, as if he were merely an annoyance to be tolerated.
Claudio had never made him feel that way before.
In fact, Claudio had only ever made Wheeler feel wanted. Be it Claudio inviting him to coffee in the morning, no matter how playfully perturbed Claudio would be when he ordered a hot chocolate instead, or the times that the two spent working in the gym, Claudio had never made Wheeler feel like anything but a dear friend. That had changed at All Out, when Claudio's broad arms cradled Wheeler as he screamed, and yet nothing had changed. Claudio had only wanted to keep him safe, only this time it was from the Combat Club itself.
Wheeler had arrived to the show that night as he did most nights since All Out, alone and with his fight or flight response kicked into overdrive. He felt like a rookie again, having ducked into a storage room to change. The locker room hadn't felt right since his world started falling in around him. The rest of the locker room seemed to blame him, as if each person didn't believe that he had been kept out of the loop about the attack, as if they thought he held the secrets of the rest of a group that hadn't even let him in on the initial secret.
He let out a shaky breath as he knelt down, lacing up one of his boots, blinking back the tears that threatened to spill from his eyes. The creak of the door sounded as the florescent lights flooded in from the hallway, a figure bathed in the white-yellow glow. "Occupied," Wheeler muttered.
"I was hoping to find it occupied," came the chuckled response, the usually calming accented voice filling Wheeler with a sense of dread.
Wheeler took a deep breath as he stood, holding up his hands in a placating manner, waiting for an attack or an insult or something, "Claudio…I…"
"Relax, my Wheeler," Claudio spoke, voice calm. His own hands came up, mirroring Wheeler's stance. HIs storm gray eyes scanned the room, letting out a low whistle, "I know I have told you that sometimes you dress like you have done so in the dark, but I did not expect that to be the truth."
Wheeler suppressed a smile at the joke, trying not to let Claudio's effortless charm affect him, "What do you want, Castagnoli?"
"To apologize," Claudio gave a curt nod of his head, crossing his broad arms over his bare chest, "For the way you have been treated."
A humorless laugh left Wheeler, eyes wide in disbelief, "Apologize? Now!? Apologizing for what, the assisted murder of our friend and mentor? Breaking down my confidence and my heart? Do I have that right, Claudio?"
His face stayed emotionless, though he was unable to meet Wheeler's soft doe-eyed gaze, eyes fixated on the shelf of supplies just behind Wheeler. "For not including you. I did not think you were ready for these choices. I failed to treat you as an equal, no matter the promise I made you."
Wheeler sat on one of the stacks of boxes behind him as if the wind had been knocked from his lungs. Of course Claudio wasn't sorry about the attack. Why would he be? Ever since the change in regime in the Combat Club, all eyes had been on the group. He was receiving more attention, more of a chance to prove that he had always been one of the best wrestlers in the world. "Why are you really here, Claudio? Why do you ca-"
Tentatively, Claudio stepped forward. One of his hands cupped Wheeler's warm cheek, thumb rubbing at the beard that suited Wheeler these days. "I want you to know how important these next coming weeks will be, my Wheeler. I want you to know how important you are to all of it. The choice will be yours, but I know your heart."
In the moment before he leaned forward, capturing Claudio's lips in a desperate plea for a kiss that he swore would fix everything, Wheeler realized there had never really been a choice. As his hand placed itself against Claudio's strong chest, holding him instead of pushing him away, he realized that the choice had always been Claudio.

For the AU how about AEW in the world of The Magnus Archives
Thank you so much Lizzy who I’m assuming sent this cause I don’t think I have anyone else on here who likes the Magnus archives and wrestling lol I decided to go with the apocalypse.
1)statement Of Bryan Lloyd Danielson, lifelong vegan, and eco friendly goat man. He spent his whole life pushing to do right by the environment based on what he read and yet in the end still found himself on the processing line. Each step takes him closer and closer to the fate he feared so badly for the small creatures he refused to eat, but hey at least his body won’t go to waste. Victim of the flesh.
2)statement of Jonathan Moxley. His feet are pounding against the soft earth, muscles flexing and eyes sharp as he chases his prey through the deep woods. The call for blood is ringing in his ears as he leaps off a large boulder landing in front of the terrified victim before him. The prey blubbers and begs for mercy, for forgiveness, tries to call Jons human side out to remember their past brotherhood. Jon answers the call in his ears instead. When there’s nothing left to rip apart he rolls his shoulders and saunters off. There’ll be more prey soon and he wants to check in on his pack. Avatar of the hunt.
3)statement of Maxwell Jacob Friedman. Where is he? It’s so foggy, hello! Is anyone there? There should be people here. He was around people. Wasn’t he just around people? Yes, yes he was somewhere surrounded by a crowd, an event maybe? Was he important? Was the event for him? No, that can’t be right. If he was important then there would be someone here. If he was important then someone would care enough to be here with him, but he’s alone. So alone. He doesn’t want to be alone, but it feels so achingly familiar. Victim of the lonely.
4)statement of Toni Storm. Things are truly marvelous, wonderful, stupendous. She’s helping so many people who have lost themselves. Madness is a terrible illness, a tragic fate really but well one must help where they can. And with the world having gone tits up as it were of course Toni would do what she can to save as many poor souls as she can. It’s all quite simple really, if they remember her and her wonderful films then that means they haven’t been touched by the madness. But… if they had her assistants were quick to pluck the madness right out of the poor dearies heads. Lobotomies are all the rage you know? And well if they’re so far gone they can’t be saved… well then might as well save what parts they can. Waste not want that as it were. Avatar of the stranger.
5)statement of Daniel Garcia. He can hear the beginning sounds of the music playing. It’s almost time for another show. He hates that damn song, was there ever a time it didn’t make his skin crawl? He can’t remember anymore, but he knows he hated it even before everything changed. The lid on his box is lifted and he’s blinded by the white light of the spotlight overhead. His arms are pulled by the thick strings attached deep into his bones, jerking him ip and out of the box. His head looks forward before it’s forced up with a flick from above. The crowd laughs at him as he’s forced back and forth across the stage and dances and jumps and twirls for their amusement. He wants to cry, he’d quit he had been free and working on his own. Why was this happening, was this hell? The crowd cheers as he reaches the end of the act and he’s put back into his puppet box. The next show will start soon. He takes the short interval to try and force his fingers to move. Maybe if he can move on his own he get away. Judas begins to play, the next show is starting. Victim of the web.
I probably spent way too long on this lol but ty I had so much fun with it
Send me an AU

Thoughts on the AEW Revolution 2024 card:
The Young Bucks vs Sting and Darby Allin - I will be genuinely surprised if Sting and Darby win this match. I can see a reason to have them win and just have them relinquish the belts on Dynamite or something, but there would be no better way for the Bucks to cement themselves as Terrible People than by fucking on Sting and getting the belts.
Orange Cassidy vs Roderick Strong. While I have been enjoying OC as the Enternal International Champion, I think Roddy needs to win this to help legitimate Undisputed Kingdom as an actual faction to care about. I maintain some of the issues with the credibility of the group will be reduced once Adam Cole is able to actually go out there and do more than sit.
Samoa Joe vs Hangman Adam Page vs Swerve Strickland. It will suck if Hangman is unable to actually be there for the match (since reports are that there's some sort of "personal issue" that may impact this, which is why they did the foot thing). That said, regardless, I feel like Joe should retain. If it's all three of them, it perfectly sets up HangMAD being too caught up in trying keep Swerve from winning that he ends up also not winning.
Toni Storm vs Deonna Purrazzo. This match will probably be great. Deonna is great. Toni is great. I feel like the most likely outcome is some sort of fucky finish that allows Toni to retain. Although I wouldn't be surprised if it backfires and Deonna wins-- since that could feasibly set up a Toni/Mariah feud.
Eddie Kingston vs Bryan Danielson. I want Eddie to win. I always want Eddie to win. I think there's a solid case to be made for Bryan winning. However, I also think that Bryan's apparent refusal allow himself to be booked to win a title, and how hard he's going with the "Eddie is a bum and I don't respect him" lines, also makes a solid case for Eddie retaining. Undoubtedly, Eddie will have to lose the belts at some point, but I'm not sure that this is the best time. Plus, it would complete the story (lol) of Eddie earning the respect of Blackpool Combat Club (or re-earning, in the case of Mox).
Will Ospreay vs Konosuke Takeshita. Bruv I don't even care who wins. This match is gonna fuck.
Christian Cage vs Daniel Garcia. I *want* DG to win. Dude deserves having the belt. He's a former ROH Pure champ. He's great in the ring. People enjoy him. I legitimately don't think losing would hurt Christian from a fan perspective. The man can still be a reprehensible POS without the belt.
Wardlow vs Powerhouse Hobbs vs Lance Archer. A "Meat Madness" match. lmao. This is obviously just a big hoss shitpost match, but I think it'll be fun.
FTR vs Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli. Wheeler has his pending trial in May from where he allegedly brandished a gun at someone on the highway (wtf man, settle the hell down) so I don't know exactly how that's going to factor in with any potential booking. Both FTR and Mox are booked in ways that keep them pretty protected (Mox has only been pinned clean what, like, maybe 4 times the entire time he's been in AEW? And one of those was when he was accidentally concussed.) so it'll be really interesting to see where this goes. I can see a case for either side winning, but I would speculate that if BCC loses, it would probably be Claudio eating the loss (or it'll be some kind of DQ).

GOD I LOVE WRESTLING ARGGGGG
Spoiler ramblings of the latest dynamite episode under the cut.
The opening 15 mins has officially made some (tho not all) of the weaker parts of the Devil plotline worth it for me, because they were set up for so many warring factions and ideas.
Heel!Adam, you have instantly become 1000x sexier and the new entrance music fucks HARD. It's basically a darker remix of Adam's first AEW theme and it's perfect. He really is the best as a heel, and I gotta admit, I like how meta Adam's motivations are for pulling off the betrayal. Hating how MJF takes up all the spotlight, being an asshole to everyone and everything, so Adam wanted to break and drive MJF out of the company to "fix" what's wrong with it (which i think references the ppl who criticize that MJF is ruining AEW/doesn't fit in it at all). Plus, pointing out that no one would've cared about face!MJF if it wasn't for Adam in the first place, that MJF needed Adam to work as a face (something that I've pointed out before). Adam's faction now called the Undisputed Kingdom, combining the previous two factions he was in? *chefs kiss* You just know a third in group betrayal will happen.
Bullet Club Gold and the Acclaimed having a tentative alliance bc the Undisputed Kingdom fucked them over when trying to take down MJF? Hangman and Swerve looking for a fight/the championship bc they were side casualties of the whole Devil incident? Samoa Joe, who worked with Adam and Max separately, being involved in all this as the new champ? When Max's injuries weren't public, we all thought these were set ups for fights with Max, when really, it looks like the Undisputed Kingdom is gonna take his spot as the faction a bunch of people have it out for. So many different angles and relationships and feuds that intertwined perfectly, the possibilities are endless.
The tag team division looks like its back on the menu, the women's division having more matches+promos+big stars, Christian Cage and his "family" being hilarious as always, Takeshita is still a powerhouse, Darby doing more of his excellent ragdoll work, Eddie Kingston is here!!!! and is the absolute best on commentary I can listen to him talk forever, Bryan Keith jobbed in the four way but I'm just glad he's here, Swerve v Daniel Garcia was as fire as I thought it'd be, and then even MORE teasing of Hangman v Swerve.
Lately, it's been looking like most of the original Elite and their friends and other big players like Mox and Danielson are starting to phase out/take a break, so it's nice to see the rest of the company can still step up and lead matches without them.
God, I'm SO EXCITED for wrestling this year

AEW Tag Team Championship.
👍Good Points:
This was most definitely a great send of for Sting,i was expecting a quick 5 minute match.
This was great storytelling.
👎Bad Points:
Most definitely the glass spot Darby Allin took,he put the fans in danger.
To many kicking out of finishers.
I give it a rating of gold.
Tumblr media
AEW Revolution 2024 notes
1.     Bang Ban Scissor Gang vs Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal, Willie Mack, Satnam Singh and Private Party, match you would have seen on Rampage but The Acclaimed and Bullet Club Gold gel well.
2.     Kris Statlander/Willow Nightingale with Malcolm Bevins vs Julia Hart and Sky Blue, fun tag match which could continue to plant seeds in either Statlander or Nightingale betraying one another to side with Bevins.
3.     TNT Championship match Christian Cage vs Daniel Garcia, good opening with an impressive performance by Garcia but would have been better if both Christian and Garcia didn’t get injured during it.
4.     Triple Crown Championship match Eddie Kingston vs Bryan Danielson, one of my favourite matches of the night showed that Kingston had proven his worth to his peers in Danielson, Claudio and Mox and isn’t a bum.
5.     No.1 Contender Scramble, seeing Wardlow, Archer, Hobbs and Cage try to shove each other while the crowd chants meat was fun, it didn’t work with the non-body builder wrestlers, Dante Martin botched a few dives didn’t help either, but the right man won.
6.     AEW International Championship Match Orange Cassidy vs Roderick Strong, Cassidy held his own in a good match but Strong was too much, looking forward to what happens with the returning Kyle O’Reilly.
7.     Blackpool Combat Club (Mox and Claudio) vs FTR (Cash and Dax), AEW continues to deliver great tag team wrestling with this banger match, was going with FTR but it looking like Mox and Claudio will be the next AEW Tag Team Champions.
8.     AEW Womens Championship Match Toni Storm vs Deona Parazo. Great technical match, but was hoping for a Jamie Hayter return, hope Storm gets a long reign.

9.     Will Osprey vs Konosuke Takeshita, only way to describe it is an early contender for match of the year plus match of the whole PLE
10. Triple Threat AEW World Championship Match Samoa Joe vs Hangman Adam Page vs Swerve Strickland, was the right call for Joe to retain as it was too soon to put it on Swerve, Hangman was the right call to take a pin, all three men blended together and hoping to see more Swerve vs Hangman.
11. World Tag Team Championship Match Darby Alin and Sting vs Young Bucks, Sting went out with a bang in a fun last match, the opening will make you sad knowing it’s his last match, Darby Alin had some fun scary spots and the addition of Flair and Steamboat did more to get heat on the Bucks with their attacks, Sting winning gives the fans leaving with a smile on their face and to be thankful for the great memories he left.
Overall:  Early ppv of the year contender with more good than bad and satisfying ending to a legends career, rating Gold.

were my AEW revolution 2024 predictions correct??? fing out
ok time to review my predictions now that the show has come and gone. i describe my 'predictions' as "not hopes, predictions, educated guesses or something less"
joe OVER swerve, page -- page does anything to prevent swerve from winning and joe ultimately prevails on this night
yeah and yep
deonna purrazzo OVER toni storm -- feud continues, deonna becomes women's champion
this was a miss because toni storm won the match with some assistance from her crew
eddie kingston OVER bryan danielson -- eddie proves himself and earns bryan's respect
yep
sting and darby OVER young bucks -- sting retires as champion
yep! right before i watched the match i made a side prediction that sting would take completely unnecessary bumps, and he did, more than i expected
ospreay OVER takeshita... but it's a hell of a fight -- and who knows if he leaves the event still part of don callis family...
yep! he left the event in good terms with his faction though
orange cassidy OVER roderick strong -- though they make it so close you cant believe it
this was a miss because roddy won about as clean as you could hope
daniel garcia OVER christian cage -- copeland returns to enact revenge on the man who was once like a brother to him, leading DG to win first singles gold
none of this happened
BCC OVER FTR -- because they might have to write cash wheeler off tv at any moment
BCC did win
Wardlow WINS the scramble match for future AEW Championship match -- hook should have won but is destroyed by brian cage
this happened too!
actually i remember getting more wrong. i didn't expect roderick strong to win the title at least not without, as my dad would call it, 'shenanigans'. i also misjudged the toni/deonna storyline. and adam copeland didn't appear much less help daniel garcia win the big one. but anyway not to focus on the stuff i was wrong about but the stuff i was right about was fairly predictable and i have issues. anyway it was a pretty great event and i'm buzzing to see what happens on dynamite.
not to do even more predictions but i've been predicting the formation of a tag team tournament for the newly vacant aew tag team titles after sting/darby's win. thinking about it now, it seems like a great time for moxley and claudio to be slotted in as strong tag team tournament contenders if not the winners of the tournament. but it remains to be seen what will be done with the tag titles as of this writing

Bringing y'all some fresh Danny Garcia content ahead 📣📣📣
Tumblr media
Summary: On a hot night during Dynamite the reader runs into Danny while wearing a sundress that Garcia can't ignore.
Dynamite is in Arizona this week and the heat is still damn near unbearable even after sunset. You get to the arena and head inside as fast as possible, wearing as little as possible.
When you get to the BCC locker room Wheeler is the first one to greet you, as usual. "Hey, Y/N. Heat getting to you as well?" He notices the thin sundress hanging off your shoulders.
"We're inside the locker rooms. How in the hell is it still so damn hot?" You complain and kick the door shut behind you with a groan.
"It's Arizona in the middle of summer." Mox reminds you with a chuckle. "I like the dress by the way. I'm sure that Garcia will get a kick out of it when he sees you later tonight." He snickers.
"Garcia should have the right mind to keep his hands to himself. Unless he wants a heel up his ass." You snap back and sit down in a nearby chair.
Mox continues with his hearty chuckle and shakes his head. "Oh, he'll keep his hands to himself, alright." He jokes.
"Jon!" Bryan reaches across the table and smacks Mox on the arm. "Forgive him, Y/N. The man has no manners. You look lovely, by the way." He adds as he glares at Jon.
"Thank you, Bryan." You reply. "At least someone around here still has manners." You grumble to yourself and Wheeler frowns. "You too, Yuta."
You sulk in your chair, fanning yourself with your hand every so often while you wait for Mox and Bryan's tag match against Matt and Angelo later. And you hate every second of it. Your bare legs stick to the chair in the most unpleasant way and your skin radiates with excess heat.
Finally, the time comes for the tag match and you eagerly unstick yourself from your seat and match out of the locker room. The hallway is a bit cooler than the room, but you know that the arena will be even worse than that.
"Wheeler, keep an eye on Y/N." Mox barks orders at Wheeler as everyone makes their way down the ramp.
"I can take care of myself, Jon." You remind him with a sneer.
Jon rolls his eyes with a playful smile and climbs into the ring. "Sure. But when Garcia carries you off like an obsessed animal I don't want to hear it." He teases you, earning another smack from Danielson.
You roll your eyes back at him and walk over to your team's corner of the ring. The JAS comes out a few seconds later and heads down the ramp. Matt and Angelo match down the ramp with Daniel as their backup and hop into the ring. Daniel walks over to his corner and glances your way casually for a second, quickly doing a double take when he sees your attire.
"Oh, God." You sigh when Daniel comes around the corner with a smug look on his face. "Yuta, watch out for Bryan and Mox. I'll handle this." You direct him.
Yuta nods and focuses on Bryan and Jon in the ring just as Daniel comes around the final corner and over to your side.
"Well well well, damn Y/N. Who are you looking all sexy for tonight, sweetheart?" He asks you, eyeing you up shamelessly.
You roll your eyes and cross your arms. "Well, it certainly wasn't for you, Garcia." You snicker at him. "So do us both a favor and get lost."
"Not a chance in hell, baby." Daniel chuckles. "Not while you're out here looking that fine with all these virgins and losers in the front row drooling all over you like dogs." He nods to the crowd behind you.
You glance behind you for a moment and sure enough. The front row is slowly being filled with sweety halfwits pushing their way to the barricade just to get a glance at you.
You let out a small laugh and turn back to Daniel. "Awe, how noble of you, Daniel." You tease him. "But the way I see it, you should hop over the barricade and join them."
"Nah, you got me all wrong baby," Daniel replies. "You wanna know the biggest difference between me and the loser squad over there?" He asks you. "Besides the fact that I've actually seen a woman naked in real life?"
"No, enlighten me please." You roll your eyes.
A wicked grin spreads across Daniel's face and he takes a step toward you. "I'm the only one out here that's gonna be pulling this thing off of you tonight." He grins and flicks the bow hanging off of one of your shoulder straps.
You let out a small laugh, recognizing the cleverness and boldness of Garcia's claim, and push at his chest. "Smooth, Romeo." You poke his chest. "But not quite enough I'm afraid."
"Oh?" Daniel grins at you. "Alright ice queen." He chuckles. "How about I throw in a pint of ice cream and an icy cold hotel room stay?" He arches a brow at you.
You laugh again, contemplating his offer. You twirl a piece of hair in your hand with a grin and shrug. "What kind of ice cream?" You ask him.
"Y/N!" Bryan, who's been listening from the apron this whole time, scolds you.
"Whatever kind you want, baby," Daniel replies.
You laugh and nod your head. "You've got a deal, playboy." You wink at him. "Yuta! Make sure my bags get back to the hotel. Chau!" You wave at Wheeler as Daniel pulls you away from the ring and up the ramp.

(I don’t want to be) second best; jon moxley x wheeler yuta
title: (i don’t want to be) second best
pairing: jon moxley/wheeler yuta, mentioned and implied: bryan danielson/wheeler yuta, bryan danielson/daniel garcia, blackpool combat club polycule
rating and warnings: explicit, sexual content (thigh fucking, handjobs) descriptions of violence, language.
word count: 3904
summary: Yuta feels sick, and his hands are trying to scramble for purchase on a belt that’s no longer there.
authors note: I started writing this the day after dynamite on 3 hours sleep and ended up sharing a snippet for a fic meme. @slapofhonor wanted more so, here’s the rest of it!
ao3 link
Yuta feels sick, and his hands are trying to scramble for purchase on a belt that’s no longer there. They’re empty, empty and cold and his waist feels, well, naked.
Someone’s shouting at him from down the hall, but his mind is all fuzzy, his body sore and running on autopilot. He doesn’t turn around to see who it is. It’s probably not Bryan, he’s too focused on parading Daniel around the ring like his shiny new toy to worry about where Yuta’s going, and the way that Regal had looked at him when he walked away, well, Yuta doesn’t think the older man is going to talk to him for a while. He’d done everything that Regal had told him not to do. Don’t use any of your rope breaks, don’t lose your head, and don’t lose. Yuta did all of that in the match, starting with the rope break and then slowly descending into madness, he closed fist punched Garcia because it was all he could think to do upon seeing red, when he just wouldn’t quit, and then he lost, he tapped out. He knows Regal is disappointed in him, and Yuta doesn’t quite know how to deal with that yet.
It hasn’t been that long since Trent cornered him in the corridors after the tag match with Chuck and Mox, and screamed in his face about upsetting Chuck and Orange, about using Chuck’s pin, and about how the blackpool combat club are going to throw him away when he loses his title.
The thought has been stuck in Yuta’s mind since, like a nasty, poisoned dart stuck in his side, slowly releasing its toxins into him every time he thinks about it. And now, well now the losing the title part of it has come true, and with the way Regal looked at him, maybe the throwing him away will be true too.
It’s all Yuta can think about as he makes his way through the winding halls and back to the locker room. It’s empty, and he can’t decide whether that’s good or bad. Did he want someone to be in here, Mox, Claudio, or maybe even Eddie, someone to just put their arms around him and tell him it’s going to be okay? Or is it better that there’s no one here, no one to tell him hey, you gotta pack your stuff up, gotta give your place to Daniel Garcia. It’s probably the latter but Yuta doesn’t know how he’d react if that happened, though.
There’s a heaviness in his muscles that isn’t just from the beating he just took in the ring, and the thumping of his head isn’t just because Garcia stamped on it against the exposed turnbuckle.
His chest hurts from the slaps and the way his heart is thumping under his skin, his eyes are stinging from the sweat that got into them and the tears that are threatening to fall. Yuta strips off his things and throws them into a pile by his bag. He doesn’t quite feel like folding them neatly like Regal likes. He steps into the shower, turns it hot, and stands there. He stands there and lets his mind shut off while his skin burns. Tears run down his cheeks, getting lost in the water cascading down his face. Yuta knew his time would come, he knew he’d lose the belt eventually, he just didn’t think it would be now, this soon, or to Daniel Garcia. He thought maybe some ROH legend would show up some day, or maybe Joe or Bryan would take it from him, Yuta had planned for it in his head, knew it could happen, would have accepted that, but Daniel? The guy he’s essentially been on an equal path with from the start? The guy Bryan’s fucking obsessed with? That wasn’t part of the plan, that wasn’t okay. Because now Bryan, his mentor, a hero of his, a lover, who gave him the pure title upon his initiation into the Blackpool Combat Club and said this was mine once, but now it’s yours, like it was the highest honor he could be bestowed with, was giving it to someone else. Bryan Danielson giving you the pure title? It’s all people like he and Daniel dream of, their hero, proud of them, wrapping a title they held so honourably around your waist and saying hey, you’re good, this is yours. Yuta had felt proud, honoured, smug knowing that he was the only one Bryan had done that for. That he would be the only one Bryan did it for, because no one was going to take it from him, not anyone that Bryan would want to do it for, anyway.
But then he has, now, he lost his title to the one person that Yuta feels threatened by. He feels the sticky white hot fury inside of him. Bryan had come down to the ring, looked at him as if to say well, he beat you, shake his hand, like Yuta needed telling what to do, like Yuta was the disrespectful one, despite Daniel being the one who disrespected him the last time they had a match, Daniel being the one who let his team cheat for him to win his match against Bryan. Daniel Garcia is disrespectful, even to his hero, and yet, Bryan looked at Yuta like it was him. Like he wasn’t allowed a second to collect himself before he swallowed his pride and shook the winners hand. Then he’d watched Bryan parade him around the ring, like a father with his new born son, proud and beaming even as Jericho came out.
Yuta smacks his fist against the tiles, feels the crack of his knuckles and the splitting of skin but it barely registers. He’s not even in his own body anymore. He doesn’t want to be.
x
Mox finds Yuta standing under the running water of the shower when he gets into the locker room. It was stupid of him to think that the boy was going to be anywhere else, but at least the time spent looking for him had given Yuta a little time to cool off.
He’s in his own world, not hearing Mox come in, not hearing Mox stripping down so he can join him. Yuta’s whole body jolts when Mox presses up behind him, skin to skin and wrapping his arms around that soft middle of his.
“Easy tiger, just me.”
Yuta’s body is still a little taut, but he relaxes into Mox’s hold, and he tips his head back as Mox ghosts kisses across his wet skin, stroking the smoothness that is his hips and belly, tasting water and soap on his tongue.
“Moxie.”
“Yeah, Moxie. I’m so fucking proud of you.” He says, and he feels Yuta shake at the words the moment they’re out of his mouth. A bloodied hand comes to rest on Mox’s own, and Mox links their fingers. Yuta’s hands are shaking, wet and sticky and warm, they’re soft against Mox’s calloused own.
“I lost.” Yuta's voice cracks, wet and high.
“Doesn’t mean I’m not proud, Wheeler. You did so good, got so mean, just like me.”
A sob escapes Yuta, and Mox holds him tighter, pressing his chest against his back, squeezing his hands and his arms around his belly. The water rains down around them, a steady pounding on the floor tiles.
“Regal, he said—“
“I know. You did what you had to do. You were surviving, doing what you had to. Don’t ever feel bad for that.”
“But—“
“No buts, baby. How many times do I gotta knock it into your pretty head? He ain’t always right, and wrestling ain’t always about doing it the hard way. You’re not weak, or wrong for using a rope break on a submission that knocked Bryan out cold. You’re not. If it was easy to fight out of Garcia wouldn’t use it. Wrestlings not about how many times you get knocked down, it’s how many times you get back up. And my boy, my boy always gets back up, don’t he?” Mox turns his mouth, presses the words and kisses into his ear. Yuta shivers against him, pushes back against him. It’s a bi-product of having Yuta’s slick, warm body tucked against his own that his dick is hard against Yuta’s ass.
“Bryan’s—“
“An asshole. An asshole with an obsession. He’ll get over it, either he’ll get what he wants or he’ll get his heart broken and he’ll move on. No matter what, Garcia will never be you. Never. He took the easy route and shacked up with Jericho. Not you, tiger. No, you stepped right into the lion's den, didn’t you? Stepped into the cage wearing raw meat. You got eaten alive time and time again but each time you took it, you stood up,” Mox runs a hand up Yuta’s slick chest, his shaven chest is smooth, and his nipples are peaked and hard. Yuta’s got a sensitive chest, pushes into the hand on his skin, back arching and ass pushing right against Mox. He’s sinful, he’s a sick, dirty temptation that Mox can never resist. He slides his hand up to his throat, long, taut, the perfect fit in Mox’s hand. He doesn’t squeeze, just rests it there, his thumb on the curve of his jaw, fingers underneath his ear. He feels Yuta swallow.
“Garcia might have won, might have beaten Bryan once, but he never did it like you did it. He cheated against Bryan. He nearly cried when he bled in the cage at blood and guts. Not you. Not my Yuta. You give until you can’t anymore, even if that means losing. You are stronger than he will ever be, more of a man, more of a fighter. Bryan picked the wrong guy, I didn’t, I picked you. Cos’ I know you’re the best.” Mox strokes Yuta’s throat, skims his blunt nails against the soft pouch of Yuta’s tummy, kisses the base of Yuta’s neck, the expanse of his shoulders. Touching Yuta is like touching a cloud, or at least what Mox thinks it would be like touching a cloud. He’s soft, yielding, moulds against you no matter which way you turn. He tastes like fresh summer fruit, bright, sweet, fragrant. It’s addicting, maddening, and Mox has been hooked from the very first touch. The first touch in the ring, the first touch in the locker room, in a hotel, in a bed. Every single first time that he had with the boy Mox became more and more obsessed each time. Each touch, taste, each little smile, smirk, gasp.
The first time they sparred, their first training session, Mox pushed him hard. He didn’t hold back, he was angry at himself for being so infatuated, for being so obsessed. It felt like Seth all over again, and he couldn’t do it, so he tried to beat it out of Yuta. He pulled at his arms until he screamed, he choked him until he was red, punched his stomach until he was doubled over and wheezing. But then, at the end of it all, Yuta, covered in sweat, a bit of blood from an old scab that had been ripped open, Yuta pulled himself to his knees, and like a starved man asking for food, said, “Again.”
Mox had slapped him, a hard cracking sound had filled the room, a slight gasp from Yuta. But once Yuta had recovered, he looked back up at Mox, and motioned with his hand. Again. Mox slapped him a total of six times, his hand stinging, a red mark on Yuta’s cheek, eyes glossy and rolling into the back of his head. He still never gave up, but Mox couldn’t take it anymore. The boy was a sight, and Mox was hard. It was then that Mox fell head first into his obsession, his infatuation, with Wheeler Yuta. He let it consume him, history repeating itself be damned. Yuta wasn’t Seth. Seth couldn’t take a slap the way Yuta can. He liked pain for sure, but he had his limits, limits that didn’t take much for Mox to reach. Yuta, he’s sure Yuta has limits. Mox just hasn’t found them yet.
Daniel Garcia won’t ever be Yuta either. No matter how hard he tries, no matter how much he wraps Bryan around his finger, he won’t ever be the kid who knelt in front of him, half dead and bleeding asking for more. He won’t ever be the kid who got in Regal’s face and took the slap like a champ. Maybe he will be to Bryan, but that’s okay, because Yuta is his anyway. Yuta can sleep with who he wants, kiss who he wants, but he’ll never belong to them the way he belongs to Mox. He’ll never give himself to anyone the way he does to him. And that’s just the way Mox likes it, needs it.
“Tell me what you need, sweetheart.”
Yuta gasps gently, tries to push and pull his body in different directions, back into Mox’s chest and up into the hand on his stomach. He’s hard like Mox, had been slowly stiffening as Mox petted at his belly above his cock and pressed his own against Yuta’s ass.
“Anything, just, something, anything — get me out of my head, Jon, please.” Yuta begs. His voice still cracks, is still wet with tears, but Mox can hear the desperation, the need simmering under the surface.
“Shh, I’ve got you. Don’t I always? I’m here.” Mox slides his hand down and wraps it around Yuta’s cock, warm and slick from the shower.
“Up,” He murmurs against Yuta’s ear. Yuta obeys, planting both hands against the shower wall and going up on his tiptoes. Mox squeezes Yuta’s throat and cock at the same time as he slides his own between his thighs, the water making it slick and easy. He doesn’t have lube, and he’s not leaving Yuta to go get it, and he’s not opening the boy with just water and spit, he likes pain but not like that.
Yuta pushes his thighs together, not tight, but enough that there’s a delicious friction against Mox’s cock as he thrusts between them slowly. “There you go, so good for me, such a good boy.”
Yuta makes a strangled noise, tips his head back onto Mox’s shoulder and turns his face to the side so he’s looking at him. His expression is open, unguarded, and pained. He’s looking to Mox for help, for anything, to make him feel better. Mox kisses him.
“Mox,” Yuta kisses him desperately, like he’s trying to get swallowed whole, like he wants to disappear into Mox completely. Mox would let him, if it was possible, he’d hide Yuta inside of him, protecting him from the world. The only person allowed to hurt him, make him bleed, is himself. “Please.”
“I know. I’m here, I’ve got you, just let it go. Let it all go. They don’t matter.” Mox bites at Yuta’s lip, tugs on it, gives Yuta the pain he needs to remind him who he is, what he can take. Yuta gasps, rocking back on his toes, fucking his thighs down onto Mox’s cock like he’s riding him for real.
“Moxie, please, I’m—“
“Come on baby, give it to me. Show me how good I know you are.” Mox tightens his hand around Yuta’s cock, fucks his cock between his thighs quicker. It’s not quite the tight heat of Yuta’s ass, but it’s velvety smooth, wet, and Mox can feel his own orgasm building.
Yuta shakes, his orgasm taking over him as he clutches at Mox, “I’m gonna, oh fuck I’m gonna— fuck!” He paints Mox’s fist, though it’s quickly washed down the drain by the running water.
Mox is right there with him, and the tight clamp of Yuta’s thighs as his orgasm rips through him pushes Mox over the edge, comes with a growl and a bite to Yuta’s shoulder. He makes a mess of his boys thighs, his release dripping down his legs. It’s filthy, but Mox watches in fascination as they come down together, breathing heavily. Eventually Yuta shifts, and the angle of the water changes, washing away the mess on his skin.
He turns in his arms, pressing his back against the wall and leaning in to kiss Mox. Fresh summer fruits burst in Mox’s mouth and clouds slip through his fingers as he lets his hands grope Yuta’s body. His muscles are still tense, most likely still sore from his match, but he’s better, not as taut or ramrod stiff like he was when Mox found him. He likes that. He likes that he’s able to uncoil him like a spring, put him right and back together, so that he can coil him right back up again ready to be let off on someone.
“Thank you.”
Mox smiles. Yuta’s voice is thick, arousal still coating his tongue, but his voice doesn’t crack, and it’s no longer wet with tears. His eyes are focusing, still a little red, but he’s there, his boy is in there, back from the brink, out of his head. “Don’t have to thank me. You know I’ve always got you.”
Yuta dips his head until he’s tucking his face into Mox’s neck, letting himself be cradled in Mox’s arms.
Mox holds him there for a little bit, running his fingers up and down his spine, whispering sweet little words to him that he can only just hear over the shower water. The water stays warm, but eventually Yuta starts to shiver and shake in his arms, so Mox turns the water off and gets him back into the main part of the locker room. He dries him off, kissing across his body as he does. It gets Yuta to smile; that beautiful, sunshine bright smile that he loves so much. Yuta’s eyes crinkle when he smiles like that, showing his teeth and all the lines in his face. Mox loves that smile, and he loves it more when he’s the reason for it being there.
He dresses him in a clean pair of sweats and one of his own hoodies, Yuta likes to wear them because they smell like Mox, likes the smell of his aftershave and cigarette smoke.
“You wanna stay and wait for the others or catch a cab back to the hotel?”
“We should stay… I don’t want them to think — you know, like I’m running away.”
“No one would think that, baby, but we’ll stay. I don’t got anything to do.” Mox says, and he sits down on the bench, pulls Yuta with him and helps him lay out, lets the boy put his head in his lap and slips his fingers through his wet hair, petting him gently.
The shows over, but the Rampage taping has probably already started, and Claudio’s got a match so they’re not going to be leaving any time soon. Yuta falls asleep with his head in Mox’s lap, curled up in a little ball and breathing deeply. Mox settles in, his own legs perched on a chair as he scrolls through his phone. They’re like that for around half an hour when he hears voices approaching, looks up curiously to see Bryan, still wearing his ring gear, pushing the door open. Daniel Garcia is following behind him, the pure title still wrapped around his waist.
“Get out.” Mox growls lowly.
“It’s not just your locker room, Jon.”
Mox growls again. Sometimes Bryan can be a right prick. He knows that Yuta is upset about the title, he knows that the last person he wants to see right now is Garcia, yet, here he is, bringing him into the locker room like he belongs here, like he deserves to be here. He doesn’t. He never, ever will.
“And I respect that, but considering he is the last person Wheeler wants to see right now, I’d say it’s a pretty dick move bringing him in here.”
Bryan’s face moves barely an inch, but his eyebrows furrow slightly, lips pursing momentarily, “He shook his hand—“
“Out of respect, don’t mean he wants to play god damn happy families five minutes after he just lost his title to him. You’re fucking lucky he’s asleep, go, before he wakes up.”
Bryan thinks about it for a moment, and then he’s turning, putting a hand on Garcia’s back and leading him out of the locker room. The kid had the sense not to say anything, because one wrong word out of his mouth would have sent Mox charging.
Mox makes the mistake of looking down at Yuta. His eyes are open, wet and red again, looking up at him through damp lashes. He wasn’t asleep.
“Baby…”
“Don’t — I just, keep, keep doing that.” Yuta’s voice is thick and wet again, sad, as he lifts Mox’s hand and puts it back on his head, nuzzles into his stomach.
“I got you.” Mox whispers softly, carting his fingers through the drying strands as he feels some of Yuta’s tears dampen his shirt. God he fucking hates Bryan sometimes. He can’t even see what he’s doing to the kid. There’s no harm in wanting another protege to train, they all want to be the best group they can be, safety in numbers and all that, but that doesn’t mean that their first protege has to be pushed out of the way to make room for a new one. That’s the problem with Bryan, he loves so fiercely, but it’s so laser focused, it’s almost like he can’t love more than one person at a time, like he doesn’t know how. There’s no doubt that he loves Yuta, Bryan made him soup when he was sick and stayed up all night finding the best way to unblock a nose without using chemical infused decongestant sprays. But right now, right now Bryan loves Garcia, or thinks he does, and he’s so focused on him that he doesn’t see that he’s forgetting Yuta, that he’s pushing him aside and hurting him. Yuta just wants to be loved, loved by everyone he loves. He hates being a disappointment, in anything, and he feels like he’s disappointed Bryan, and Bryan won’t give him the reassurance he needs because he’s too busy with someone else.
“Sorry.” Yuta whispers after a moment, and he sniffles, trying to dry his eyes with his fist.
“Don’t. Don’t be sorry. Just let it all out. I’m here, alright? I’m here and I’m not going anywhere. I’m yours, you’re mine, fuck the rest.” He says, scratching his fingers at the base of Yuta’s scalp.
Yuta sighs softly, cuddling closer. Mox knows he can’t take away what Yuta feels with just words, probably not even his actions, either, only Bryan can do that, but he can help, he can make him feel better, happy, even, and if he can do that, well, it’s a start.
“Love you.” Yuta whispers.
Mox smiles, bringing a hand up to stroke his cheek and run his thumb over his lip. They’re wet with tears, and Mox knows that if he kissed him right now, he’d taste fresh summer fruit, but fresh summer fruit eaten by the sea, skin getting kissed by warm sun and clouds.
He wipes away a tear. “Love you too, tiger.”

I DO NOT OWN THIS GIF:
Tumblr media
For two weeks, I had to travel to Japan for a wrestling tournament and I thought it wasn’t going to be that big of a deal. What would two weeks hurt?
Blackpool Combat Club started having their issues whenever Daniel Garcia betrayed Bryan, had us all fooled and made us all believe that he was going to leave JAS and go under Bryan’s wing.
Why was this so crucial? Not only did this stir issues between Bryan and Yuta, but I was secretly talking to Daniel.
I was excited and surely thought that Daniel was going to join BCC, but he blindsided all of us.
Watching this happen while in Japan made me beyond nervous to come back, but of course, I did and my heart was racing the moment I stepped into the arena.
My main priority was to get to our locker room and spend the night back there, not stepping out unless I had no choice.
Moving around like a ninja, as quiet as I possibly could, someone was bound to find me:
“Hey babe, nice telling me that you were back from Japan.”
Daniel.
Things were just starting off with a bang, huh? There was no avoiding him and the conversation that we needed to have.
So, turning around with an attitude on my face, he knew exactly how I feel, laughing at me:
“I see why you haven’t been talking to me. You’re mad at me, huh?”
“You know what you did was messed up, Danny,” I huffed, trying not to get too emotional, “You know the faith and hope Bryan put into you and you just betrayed him like that?”
“Hey, he should’ve seen that coming, so that’s on him!” He protested, always acting so cool, but I gave him something to truly think about:
“Maybe so, but Bryan isn’t the only person you hurt. What you did has him fighting with Yuta, I can tell that Claudio is ready to flip dealing with it, and you hurt me too. I really thought that you were going to join sides with us because you’re not a ‘sports entertainer’, you’re a wrestler, a damn good one and we all know it.”
“Naw, I know why you’re so ‘hurt’,” Those words caught me off guard, staying silent to listen to his rebuttal, “You’re just scared you’re going to get kicked out of BCC or something because of us.”
My time with Daniel wasn’t wrestling related. When we were with each other, we were ourselves and I haven’t connected with anyone like I did with him.
I didn’t think it would be a big deal but after everything that happened? It would definitely be a big deal. Maybe that is what I feared.
I wanted Daniel, but I also wanted to continue to be in BCC. With everything going on, those options weren’t going to coexist with one another.
“Tell me I’m wrong, Y/N?” Daniel looked into my eyes and I didn’t want to give him the satisfaction of being right, turning and getting the door:
“I’d leave before one of the guys show up if I were you.”
“Wow!” He scoffed, my actions showing a sting he felt, definitely expressed in his voice, “So that’s it, huh? You’re choosing them over me?”
As a final response, I just pointed to the BCC sign on the door as I stepped in, then slammed the door shut.
Thank goodness I was all alone in there for a while to cool down. When Bryan, Claudio, Yuta, Mox, and Regal all made their ways in, I put on a smile and caught up some.
That night, Claudio and Yuta were facing Chris Jericho and Daniel; As much as I didn’t want to, I went out to ringside just to make sure no cheating occurred.
The whole match, not lying in the slightest, it was a banger and I was watching all of the action.
But of course, JAS couldn’t avoid their cheating nature, Angelo Parker trying to grab Yuta’s feet.
I quickly went right over to him, flipping him around and before I could even say anything, he even gave me a little shove.
That made me smile and I shoved him right back, going to get back into each other’s faces, I jumped a little, not seeing Daniel’s feet coming from the ropes and right into Parker.
From a certain view, it looked like an accident, and Daniel tried making the facial expressions explain that to everyone else, but when our eyes met?
He did that on purpose. We both knew it, but I stayed quiet and let Yuta do his thing, that small bit gave him the advantage and shortly after, Claudio was pinning Jericho for the win.
This was beginning to weigh heavy on my shoulders and I really hope nobody noticed, but while leaving the ring, I couldn’t keep my eyes off of him.
I didn’t want to do what I did earlier, but I was a strategist; I liked having game plans with an end result. Things with Daniel? I had no clue how it would end and that’s what was making it all confusing.
And staring into his eyes? He didn’t want things to just end, he didn’t need to speak for me to know how he felt.
“Y/N, Y/N!”
I was so out of it that I didn’t notice Yuta talking to me when we got to the guerrilla.
“You okay, Y/N? I know that Angelo didn’t shove you that hard, right?” Claudio chuckled, wrapping his arm around my shoulder.
“I’m fine,” I smiled, playing it off and laughing, “It takes a lot more than a little shove to throw me off. You guys did great out there.”
Going down the stairs, Bryan was waiting and oh boy, this wasn’t going to be good.
Yuta went straight up to Bryan, looking like he was going to start a fight and I was so grateful for Claudio breaking them up.
All of these internal issues because of Daniel. I just couldn’t and didn’t want to believe it.
For the rest of the show, we got Yuta to calm down, distracted one another with humor and all, which was nice, but when I was all alone again in my hotel, that’s when I started drowning in my thoughts again.
Fresh out of the shower in my robe, I was brushing my hair back, staring at nothing in the mirror, slightly startled when I heard quick knocks at my door.
That knocking seemed like someone was in an emergency. The first person that popped into my head was maybe Yuta or Bryan, but I opened the door to find Daniel.
It was clear that he had been thinking, having an attitude too, rambling right off:
“Look, we have to figure this shit out. And you won’t slam the door on me again. I’m serious.”
“I won’t,” I said softly, taking a deep breath, “You’re right. We do have to figure this out. Can you just try to see things from my shoes?”
“I get it. Dating me while in the BCC after everything? I’m sure they’d try to kill the both of us, but-“ He was finally trying to relate for a change, but considering he didn’t finish his sentence made me nervous:
“But what, Daniel?”
Staring deeply and creating a gaze between us, for a change, he made a very good point:
“You and me, what we got going on? It’s not a sports entertainers versus pro wrestlers deal. It just you and me. That’s it. No wrestling involved.”
I wanted to say that, that was easier said than done consider wrestling was literally our entire lives, but that’s exactly how I wanted things to be. So I stayed silent, thinking deeply when he huffed:
“That’s how I feel. So, if you want to be with me, we can figure things out or you can just slam the door on me, again.”
Geez, he was surely upset that I did that earlier, but he didn’t have to worry, getting him off guard this time when I grabbed his shirt:
“Just come here, Danny.”
Pulling him inside and the door shutting on its own, I got something I’d been longing for when I kissed him, feeling his arms wrap tight around my waist like he always did so naturally.
Any time I kissed him, it felt so right and this time was no different, done with the arguing and smiling softly:
“You’re spending the night with me, just so you know. Hope you’re not in trouble with your boys, by the way.”
“Why would I be in trouble with them?” He picked his head up to think, then looked away when he remembered, trying not to smile as I giggled:
“I appreciate that you did that for me. Don’t look so shameful about it.”
“I’ll trash anyone who touches you,” When our gaze reconnected, he was dead serious and I admired that, kissing again while untying my robe:
“And I’ll never doubt that. I know it’s been a few weeks and I’ve been a bit of grinch so-“
His eyes dropped along with my robe to the floor, licking and biting his lower lip, loving my next words:
“Since you’re staying the night, how about we make this all right again, hm?”
“Oh baby,” He chuckled, feeling how his hands gripped my thighs, the lust in his eyes, “You know that I was getting some of all this.”
At first I was giggling at how quickly he picked me up and took me over to the bed, tossing off his shirt once I was on my back, but the second his knees dropped and his head dove between my legs, I was breathless.
“D-Danny-“ I know it had been a few weeks, but not even a minute and he was devouring me like it was his last meal.
And when his tongue started flicking at my clit super fast, my body was trying to roll, unable to stay still with the hard shakes in my legs.
“I can’t make you cum if you keep moving like that,” He knew what he was doing, hooking my thighs and applying pressure to keep my hips pinned down, having my back arch with my growing moans.
“I’m so close, Danny!” Propping up on my elbows, there were tears in my eyes, feeling how his tongue was fucking me, having my walls spasming, hitting every right spot in a fluid series, falling to my back seconds later with my thighs squeezing his head, a handful of hair, crying out with moans while my slick drenched his mouth and chin.
I seemed to forgot how intense he made my orgasms, chest feeling heavy from finally being able to breath, spot in my vision when I finally opened my eyes, but still fixed on him, noticing how he was kicking his pants off.
He remembered how sensitive I was after something like that, leaving kisses at my inner things that made me shake hard with a moan, up my stomach, finding my breast and latching to my nipple, nibbling slightly before sucking harder.
At the same time, I felt his thumb circle my oversensitive clit, two fingers pushing into me softly and it felt so much, having me bite my lips and whimper out softly:
“Don’t be teasing me now, baby.”
He just snickered while leaving bites across my chest, pumping his fingers once more before positioning himself between my legs, having me whine at his cock slapping my clit, then running through my folds.
“What? You been missing this?” He loved to tease me, kissing at my neck while teasing my entrance, asking after I moaned instead of answering him, “You gonna answer me?”
“You know I’ve missed it. Just give it to me, please,” I wasn’t the type to beg, so I hoped that proved how serious I was.
“You’re gonna get it, baby,” His whisper was deep and gave me a feeling that I was in for it, but only focused on the tight friction along with his cock stretching me.
“Damn, Danny-“ Hooking my arms under his, my head snapped back and don’t know if I forgot how good he felt inside of me, but it was even better than our first time, just a few soft thrusts getting some noise out of me.
“I know you’re tight baby, but damn,” He chuckled softly, groaning with a thrust before lifting my right leg higher, “I’ll give you a reason to be louder.”
“You think I’m being dramatic or something-“ Just like how I thought, I was in for it, gasping hard at the strength behind his thrust, feeling his tip meet my cervix.
“Shh,” Holding the side of my face, giving a sloppy kiss given his hard, quickening thrusts, he bit my lip while growling, “I just wanna hear you screaming for me.”
“Daniel!” If I wasn’t calling him Danny, that meant I was serious, feeling how deep his thrusts were pushing me down, the constant smacks at my sweet spots surely getting me to scream out at times, quickly being driven to my next orgasm.
Positioning my left leg up higher too let his hips roll faster, rocking our bodies up to hit at different angles, his chest heaving with groans and pants, but he made sure to lock eyes with me, saying:
“I know with how you’re squeezing me. Cum, baby.”
“I’m about to-; I am, Daniel!” My nails were digging into the back of his shoulders, not able to breath and feeling a slight tear fall from the corner of my eye, finally catching my breath when I gushed around his cock, gasping out his name as he kept going till his cock was throbbing.
Going to pull back, I held on tighter and with one swift smack of his hips, he was buried deep, letting my legs fall with his head on my chest while were both panting and trying to breathe again.
“I’ve missed this,” I whispered softly while running my hand through his hair, smiling when he looked up at me and he couldn’t help but smile either.
“Trust me, baby,” He picked himself up to kiss me, holding with a promise, “We got this.”

Fill for @wrestleprompts week 5 - 'A reluctant trip to the zoo to make their partner happy' (feat: Daniel Garcia, Bryan Danielson and assorted JAS members)
**
"I can't believe you dragged me down here," Danny bitched, wrinkling his nose at the smell of scummy water and cleaning fluid. "We could be back in the store, where it doesn't smell like ass, making commission."
Sammy rolled his eyes and playfully nudged at Danny's side.
"Jericho's Zoo of Wonders," he said, in the same awed tone he'd been using since Chris announced his new venture months ago.  It made Danny want to punch him a little bit.  "Don't you wanna be here? At the beginning? So you can say you were?
Danny did not want to be there at all but Sammy was his work partner, assigned to him by Chris himself.
"Sammy has a lot to teach you," Chris had said, while Sammy beamed at him over Chris's shoulder. "Stick with him."
And Danny had, against all of his better judgement.  Chris clearly thought he had something to gain from Sammy, and Sammy obviously had Chris's ear.  If agreeing to come volunteer at the zoo for the final weeks before the grand opening got him in Sammy's good books, that would surely translate into Sammy putting in a good word for him with Chris.
The others were busy litter picking under the watchful eye of Matt and Angelo.  It looked disgusting and Danny's shoes were new so he slipped away, grabbing a pond net from where they were bundled against the wall in case anyone asked what he was up to.
He wandered through rows of empty display tanks, sparkling and ready for their inhabitants, all the way to the back where a massive glass and concrete pool tank was nestled.
It stunk was Danny's first thought as he got closer, wooden walkway creaking under his feet.  The water looked kind of gross, some type of thick brown seaweed covering most of the surface.  Danny wondered what kind of animal the tank was going to hold when it was clean.  Something big for sure.
"Danny!"
Danny startled at Angelo's voice, a zing of panic shooting through him at being caught bunking off the hard work.  He walked forward quickly, figuring he could make it look like he was working on the big tank, taking initiative or whatever the fuck Sammy was always banging on about.
"Danny!" Angelo called again, closer.
Danny shuffled right up to the edge of the tank, grimacing as the toes of his sneakers pressed against the small wet lip of concrete.  He plunged his net into the water, dragging it in a big arc, gathering a chunk of seaweed and whatever else was floating there and heaving it up onto the side.
"What are you doing?" Angelo yelled.
"Making a start on cleaning this tank," Danny shouted back, dragging another scoop of seaweed and slime out of the water.  It was surprisingly heavy.
"Not there!"
"What?"
They couldn't actually want to leave the water like that, surely.  He dipped his net back in the pool.
"Stay away from that one," Angelo called, sounding panicked. "It'll kill you."
Danny frowned at him over his shoulder. He was pretty sure some mucky water wasn't going to kill him.
"Who am I? Elphaba?" he muttered under his breath, rolling his eyes.  He loved Angelo but sometimes he was too ridiculous to be taken seriously.
Just as Danny opened his mouth to sass back, something tugged on his net, almost inquisitive. He rocked on his feet, swinging around to look at where his net was dipping under the water, like something was holding on.
"Let go!" Matt yelled, appearing from behind Angelo, face red from exertion, just as Danny firmed his grip on the pole and tugged back.
This time the response wasn't playful. Something yanked hard and Danny had a stumbling second to think of all the dumb ways he'd watched people die in creature features, laughing at the screen with Isiah, before he toppled over the edge and into the slimy water.
The water was weirdly warm as it enveloped him, kind of like a tepid bath, where Danny had expected ice cold.  It helped him get his startle response under control, breath held as he tilted his head, trying to figure out up from down.
He could hear thudding, feet on boards, and kicked off towards the sound. When he broke the surface, gulping down air into his burning lungs, half the staff were standing at the edge, scanning the pool.
"There!" Sammy yelled, pointing as Danny was still trying to blink sludge out of his eyes.  When he did, he realised he was further out than he'd expected.
"Come here, come on," Angelo called, hand outstretched for him.
"I'm okay," Danny called back, confused by the panic on everyone's face. He was a strong swimmer and the distance wasn't more than twenty feet.
"Come here!" Matt yelled, ordered really.
Danny started to paddle towards them but only got a few feet and something tugged him back. He realised he was still holding the pole of his net. He pulled but it didn't budge. The net must have stuck on something.
"What are you doing?" Anna yelled as he turned back.
"Just untangling my net."
Embarrassment was starting to set in.  Sammy was never going to let this go.  Every new hire from now until the end of time was going to hear the story of how Daniel Garcia tripped face first into a smelly tank.
He ignored the frantic yelling at his back, following the length of the pole with his fingers, taking a breath and ducking under into the murk when his fingers found netting.
As he tugged, the net started to rise so Danny went with it, figuring it'd be easier to untangle in sunlight.
He popped up out of the water, wiping his wet hand over his eyes, and came face to face with another man, bobbing just a few feet away
"Fuck!" he startled, splashing backward in shock. "What the fuck are you doing?"
The man said nothing, floating with just his face from the chin up out of the water, everything else submerged.
"Dude, you can't be here," Danny stuttered, uncertain in the face of the man's unblinking stare.
"Danny," Chris called, and when the fuck did he get there?
Danny looked over his shoulder. Everyone had parted to let Chris through, standing silently on either side of him. Chris reached out a hand and beckoned.
"Come, let us get you out," Chris said, like Danny was being difficult.
"Are you seeing this guy?" Danny asked, gesturing to the silent bearded weirdo that no one seemed to be willing to acknowledge.
"We can talk when you're out of the tank," Chris soothed.
Danny frowned again, disgruntled.  It felt like he was being handled, even though he wasn't the one trespassing.  Being handled always made him feel belligerent.  He couldn't help it.
He turned back to the man, who was watching on with sharp eyes and, although his face was stoic, Danny felt like he was being laughed at.  He hated that feeling.
"This is private property," he snapped. "You need to leave."
This time the man smirked at him.  Danny felt a tug on the pole he'd been clutching this entire time and when he followed the movement, the man had lifted the net out of the water, the material caught between his fingers.  He waggled them at Danny and oh, motherfucker.
"You!" Danny snarled, enraged. "What is this, some kind of bullshit prank?"
"No, Danny," Chris called and his calm was starting to sound frayed. "We wouldn't do that."
Like fuck they wouldn't.  He remembered Jake and the stupid hat they convinced him was part of the uniform for a month.
"Give that to me," Danny snapped, rage and humiliation burning the back of his neck, grabbing at the netting the man still had in his grasp.
And that's when he saw the webbing.
"Oh shit fuck," he yelped, trying to splash backwards out of reach of the goddamn merman no one had told him about, slipping briefly under before thrashing back to the surface.
The merman was gone.
Danny looked around, a frantic pool of dread building in his stomach, but the water was undisturbed save his own panicked paddling.
"Shit shit shit," he chanted under his breath, dragging the net close to his body and starting to thrash his way back to the side.
The merman popped up so suddenly that Danny crashed right into his body, no time to try and evade. It was like hitting a wall.
"Did no one tell you not to make yourself interesting to predators?" the merman said, voice almost sing-song and just loud enough for Danny to hear. He tilted his head like Danny was a dumbass, a slow mean curl to his mouth.
"Man, fuck you," Danny said, stupidity overtaking his brain and running his mouth.
The merman's eyes widened, almost comically, and he let out a startled laugh.
Danny took the opportunity to ram the end of the pole into his gut as hard as he could and, while the merman was sputtering, dove around him and thrashed towards Angelo and Matt, their arms outstretched over the edge of the tank, urging him on.
Danny felt webbed fingers brush his ankle, panic driving him faster, and then there were hands on him, under his arms, dragging him up and out of the water.
Danny clawed himself away from the edge with the last of his strength and collapsed, panting, heart thundering in his ears.
"Holy shit, are you okay?" Anna asked, wide eyed with shock.
"What the fuck kind of zoo is this?" Danny spluttered when he had enough breath, a wet puddling heap on the boards, glaring up at everybody as Angelo tried to wrap him in Matt's jacket, ignoring Matt's protests.
Chris crouched down until he could meet Danny's eye.
"The kind that's going to make money."
***
The tank looked worse in the stretching shadows of sunset, menacing in a way that made Danny's neck tingle. Which made sense he supposed, now he knew what was lurking in there.
He hadn't been back since the incident, had avoided that side of the zoo entirely.  He hadn't gone back to the store though, even though Chris had given him the opportunity.
"Nah, you need workers and I'm a good one," he'd said, all bravado.
Chris had nodded, but Danny caught him watching sometimes, like Danny had done something he wasn't sure he liked.
He glanced at the tank again then, when he was sure no one was looking, headed that way before he lost his nerve.
He was scared, but he was curious too.  He hadn't got much of a look at the merman in all the panic, beyond registering beard and sharp eyes.
Despite himself, he was intrigued.  Danny had never found a fear he didn't have the urge to lean hard into, and the fact that this one could actually kill him didn't seem to make a difference.
There was a clatter on the boards, making Danny jump.  He looked around wildly, heart thrumming, before spotting the low lights glinting off something a few feet away.  He crept closer and there at his feet, like it had fallen from the sky, lay his net.
"You seemed attached," a voice said, echoing slightly in the gloom.
Danny took a breath, ignored the goosebumps racing up his arms, and sidled closer to the edge of the tank.
The merman was floating on his back, about ten feet out. Danny took the opportunity to look him over - strong shoulders, long hair floating with the rippling water, broad chest dipping down under the water, then the ridge of hips leading into an absolute monster of a tail.
Danny knew without a doubt that one hit from that thing would break a spine.
When he dragged his eyes away from it, he found the merman watching him, still floating but with an air like a coiled spring, tense.  It pissed Danny off for a reason he couldn't pinpoint.
"The fuck did you need a net for?" Danny said, combative.
The merman barked a laugh.
It was a nice sound, now that Danny got to hear it without the distraction of bone deep terror.  A rich, heavy sound.  Danny swayed a little closer to the edge.
"Most people say thank you when someone returns their belongings, Danny," the merman said.
"How'd you know my name?" Danny demanded.
The merman eyed him like he was disappointed and oh, right.  Danny felt himself flush.
"Aren't you going to ask mine?"
"Since when do fish have names," Danny said, embarrassment making him mean.
All the almost-human disappeared from the merman in an instant as he rolled on his stomach, silent and terrifying, eyes cold and face dead of emotion.
Danny stumbled backward, even though there was no way the merman could reach him.
"Careful," the merman said, voice chillingly calm.
Their eyes held for a long moment, something thrilling and terrifying solidifying in Danny's blood, before the merman simply sank underwater and out of sight.
Panic gripped Danny and he stumbled forward calling, "Wait, what's your name?"
He waited, pulse pounding under his skin, breath loud in the surrounding quiet, but there was no reply.
Disappointment sank into the soles of his feet as he turned, making each step away from the tank feel like lead.
"Bryan," a voice said at his back.
He whipped around, scanning the water, but there was no movement and no further conversation.
"I'll see you then, Bryan," Danny said, testing the name out loud as he bent to pick up the returned net.
There was no reply, but that was okay.  He'd just come back tomorrow. And the day after that. And the one after that, too.

11. biting, Danny garcia and anyone
@loose-cannon-wrestler
kink prompts || @loose-cannon-wrestler
we're doing Daniel/Bryan (hehe what a ship name) in retaliation for Daniel biting wheeler in the ring during the pure championship rating: mature notes: that mark Daniel left on Wheeler was fucking ridicules. warnings: biting, marking kink, a little uh dubious but consent is eventually given lol, revenge sex (but no sex?), possessive behavior, humiliation kink (it's Danny so)
11. BITING
Daniel can't shake the feeling that he's being...stalked. Not followed. Followed sounded too innocent for the shivers going up and down Daniel's back as he walked through the dark parking lot of the hotel. Maybe it was Wheeler coming to tell him off for interrupting the press conference. No matter, Daniel shrugged his shoulders and walked straight ahead. Just get to the hotel.
The doors wooshed open but the feeling didn't shake as he went inside. The elevator seemed to take forever. While Daniel waited the hairs on the back of his neck stood on end. There was a sound at the end of the hallway but when Daniel looked up the door outside was slowly closing and the stairwell door stood propped open. The elevator ding definitely didn't startle Daniel.
Once on his floor Daniel started walking a little quicker. Luckily his room wasn't too far from the elevator. The key card refused to beep the first time, but the second time he tried it flashed green. Daniel sighed in relief.
"What's your hurry, Daniel?"
The voice made said man jump and whirl around on his heels to face Bryan Danielson's smug face half in shadow from the nondescript baseball cap he wore. Daniel almost swung. He should have swung.
"Jesus fucking Christ, man!" Daniel shouted. That seemed to be the wrong thing to do.
Bryan pressed a hand over Daniel's mouth and grabbed his other hand on the door to lead them inside. The shock of the moment wore off and Daniel shoved Bryan away. They were already inside his room with the door closed but at least Daniel shoved him away.
"Calm down, man. No wonder you lost if you're so high strung." Bryan teased, stepping forward to crowd the slightly taller man.
"What the fuck're you doin', man? Get out of my room." Daniel went to shove again but Bryan caught his hands with ease. "The hell, Bryan?"
"You marked Wheeler tonight." Bryan met Daniel's eyes. "Hard to miss that you're acting out when you're that obvious."
"Shut up. I'm not 'acting out'." Daniel's face started to turn red. "I'll beat you, and Yuta. Fuck you."
"Sure are a mouthy thing, Daniel." Bryan pushed until Daniel's hands were pressed against the wall. Palms flat.
"If you want my attention, Daniel, all you have to do is ask. You don't have to go marking what's mine." Bryan winked at the look of disbelief on Daniel's face. "Think I wouldn't notice?"
"I--" Daniel glared and huffed. "So, why're you here? So what if I marked up your little toy."
"Don't." Bryan shook his head a little and Daniel stopped speaking. "You don't have much to say about Wheeler after he beat you tonight with such ease."
"You're a dick." Daniel pushed against the hands. "Man, just do whatever you're gonna do to me so I can get on with my damn night."
"I just thought I'd stop by," Bryan pushed his knee between Daniels' thighs causing the younger man to squirm. "And give you a matching mark. Since you're obviously feeling felt out, Daniel."
"Bryan--" Daniel blinked hard a few times, trying to surface from that...that. Whatever Bryan said.
"I don't have to though." Bryan kept eye contact as he reached up with one hand to brush his thumb over Daniel's cheek. "I only give marks to people who want them." A beat. "You want it though, right, Daniel?"
Daniel dug his teeth into his bottom lip. He couldn't look away from Bryan even if he wanted to. It was hard to breathe under such an intense gaze. Briefly Daniel wondered how Wheeler handled having that look leveled at him all the time. It made Daniels skin crawl, his sides squirm, and every bone in his body aches.
"Y-Yeah." Daniel tried to firm his voice up, tried to act tough and tilt his head to the side. Inviting Bryan to bite him.
Instead of teeth Daniel felt Bryan's hand on his jaw. There was a moment where Daniel didn't know what was going to happen then Bryan gently pushed his head to the other side, choosing the side Daniel didn't present. There still weren't teeth. Bryan's soft lips mapped Daniel's neck out. The hand stayed on Daniel's jaw, Bryan's knee stayed between his thighs, and Daniel realized his hands weren't being held down anymore. For a second he hesitated before reaching out and grabbing two handfuls of Bryan's perfect white t-shirt.
"Hold on tight, Danny." Bryan kissed behind his ear before traveling further down and biting near where Daniel had bit Wheeler.
The pressure of Bryan's teeth made Daniel squirm. He was biting a lot harder than Daniel expected. It felt good. Daniel couldn't help the pathetic moan that tumbled out of his lips as Bryan started to suck on the sore flesh. The hand on Daniel's jaw tightened and Bryan bit down again, just slightly off center from the original spot. Danie's eyes slammed closed and he threw his head back more, another moan was ripped from his lips as Bryan continued to bite the bite over and over. The mark was going to be way worse than what Wheeler got from him.
Once Bryan was satisfied with his work he went back to gently kissing the flesh he had worked his mark into. Daniel felt his chest flutter and tighten. Hips were slowly rolling against Bryan's knee. God damn it, Daniel thought as he realized he was hard as fuck.
"There you go, puppy." Bryan pulled back. Completely back. The knee between Daniel's legs was gone and he whimpered. The hands holding him up leaving almost had him sliding down the wall to the floor. "Wonder how you're going to explain that to your friends."
"Not like--" Daniel glared. "Not like you wrote your name on me, man."
"I could." Bryan winked as he walked towards the doors.
"That's fuckin' it?" Daniel pushed off the wall.
"Yeah. That's fucking it." Bryan stepped through the door. "See you in the ring, Danny."

Prompt: "I need advice" (time passes) "never mind I already did the stupid thing"
Rating: teen
Word count: 569
Pairing: Daniel Garcia/Nigel mcguinness, unrequited Daniel Garcia/Bryan Danielson and complicates feelings with Yuta could be seen as ship.
Authors note: written for @wrestleprompts there’s a Easter egg for the quality of a memory by hereforwords and as always ty to my wifey @icecream-and-gadreel for giving it a read and letting me pull her into this fandom. No beta we die like the part of Danny’s heart that belonged to Bryan
Untitled
“I love Jon moxley, and him ripping at peoples mouths. I love Claudio Castagnoli and him destroying people. Know who else I love?”
With a damp sweaty hand Danny pulled out his phone typing quickly to the one friend he could trust with this.
I need advice
I’m about to do something that might be really dumb
“Wheeler Yuta.”
While waiting nervously for an answer he bit his lip and tapped his foot repeatedly against the floor. His mind replaying the same scene on repeat.
“I love, Wheeler Yuta!”
The voice of his hero, the man who was everything to him, the one he idolized and craved so much from but refused to give anything back. The man who had a stone wall around his heart never allowing anyone in or allowing love to come out. The man who made him crave his attention and the brief moments of kindness and closeness until he was nearly ready to throw away the man who single handedly paid his medical bills, keeping his family from losing everything under his debt. And, the closest friends he had in the company, the ones who took him under their wings, his two dads.
He tapped the screen to turn it on again, still not seeing any new notifications.
“I love Wheeler Yuta!”
Yuta…. Always Yuta. On the indies it was Yuta, Daniel debuted on AEW first but was never signed until after Yuta a year later. In ROH the pure belt always found a way back to Yuta, and now Bryan… Bryan who named Danny as the first potential student of the BCC, Bryan who chased after him for weeks to convince Danny to leave Jericho, Bryan who held back love and affection until you were ready to crawl over broken glass on your belly just for a taste.
“I love Wheeler Yuta!”
“Fuck this!”
“nm I’m doing the stupid thing”
He shoved his feet into a pair of slip ons before leaving his hotel room. The playing card, with the room number written on it, is still in his pocket though he memorized the number already. He made his way up the stairs not bothering to wait for the elevator knowing he’d risk changing his mind if he did. In what felt like one breath to another he was in front of the door and raising his fist before he could overthink it. Nigel opened the door and a small smile played on his lips as he realized it was Daniel at his door.
Danny didn’t wait for Nigel to speak, and he didn’t want to hear Bryan’s voice again so he reached out and pulled the older man into a searing kiss right at the doorstep. Nigel didn’t pull away; didn't move back and tell Daniel no, tell Daniel this wasn’t actually what he wanted like somehow he knew better than Danny what his own needs and wants were. No, Nigel was licking back into his mouth being an active participant and not making Daniel feel like some creep going after his coworker.
When the air began to cut off and make his chest burn with the need to breath he finally pulled away. Nigel, who had one hand on the small on Dannys back, placed the other on the side of Daniel's face, his thumb rubbing against sore lips.
“Brave boy.”
The exhale that came out of Daniel was bone deep.

Forbidden Door preview 4/10
Tumblr media
Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara & Minoru Suzuki vs. Eddie Kingston & Wheeler YUTA & Shota Umino - This is basically a glorified preview for the 12-man "blood & guts" double cage match on June 29. Kingston and Yuta will be on the babyface team (along with Jon Moxley, Ortiz, Santana, and Bryan Danielson's hand-picked substitute). Jericho and Guevara will be on the heel team (alongside Jake Hager, Daniel Garcia, Matt Menard, and Angelo Parker).
Shota Umino is in this because in 2019 Moxley randomly decided to make him his personal Young Lion. Moxley fans took a liking to this kid, who seemed completely confused as to what he'd been roped into. If you enjoyed Moxley "adopting" Yuta in AEW a few months ago, I guarantee you're gonna love Mox's other "son" from New Japan. Wrestling Tumblr is about to lose its collective shit.
Minoru Suzuki is apparently just here for shits and giggles. I know they said Jericho worked out some kind of alliance between Suzuki-gun and the Jericho Appreciation Society. But I don't buy that for a second. Suzuki-gun is a bunch of sadistic pirates, with no loyalty to anything but themselves. MiSu doesn't give a shit about anything but hurting dudes and laughing maniacally. The fact Suzuki is in this match just makes me think Jericho wants to set up a Jericho vs. Suzuki match down the line.
The outcome of this match will determine which side has the "man advantage" on June 29. See, in a double cage match, one guy from each team starts, and the rest enter one-by-one. So the odd-numbered entrants always cause the opposing team to be outnumbered. The heel team almost always gets this advantage, and in this case I think it's a lock given that Umino is certainly no match for Suzuki.

Moxley Defeats Kojima, Challenged by Suzuki at AEW ALL OUT, Mox v. Suzuki on AEW Dynamite Wednesday 9/8/2021; Other NJPW Activity In Chicago Last Weekend; Kidani Gives Not-Very-Inspiring Interview to Tokyo Sports About Poor Attendances
Tumblr media
Once again, technical issues prevented me from posting this yesterday, and it's obvious something needs to be done about the computer I'm using, one way or another. I wasn't even able to finish a podcast yesterday I needed to. So I may be taking a few days off from this thing in order to get my tech issues resolved. Try not to miss me too much?
Sunday night at AEW's ALL OUT PPV from Hoffman Estates, IL, former IWGP US Heavyweight champion Jon Moxley defeated the visiting Satoshi Kojima in the second match of the show, and it was very good. Of course, Kojima isn't a huge name among modern wrestling fans necessarily, so the AEW commentators did a very good job explaining just how decorated Kojima's been through his career to build him up, and Kojima was over with the live fans in attendance. Moxley did defeat Kojima after two Death Riders, and then cut a promo saying he was irritated that a certain someone wasn't answering his challenges (Hiroshi Tanahashi).
Cue "Kaze ni Nare," and Minoru Suzuki appeared, officially kicking off his US tour. Suzuki made his way to the ring, and got into an elbow battle with Moxley, getting Mox's blood on him as Mox skinned his elbow at some point in the match, probably due to his activity on Saturday night (more on that below). Eventually Suzuki got the better of Mox, and hit a Gotch-style Piledriver on him to end the segment. Of course, Mox v. Suzuki had the potential to be a feud of the year in 2020 before the pandemic put a stop to that, so it's good they've decided to revisit this whilst Suzuki is on his tour of the indies this Fall. Mox v. Suzuki is now booked for this Wednesday's AEW Dynamite, from Moxley's home town of Cincinnati, OH. This was of course the first of four shock appearances, what with Ruby Soho, Adam Cole and, critically, Bryan Danielson all appearing. This was a very, very good show, and I highly recommend it.
(Another date to Suzuki's tour has been added now, as Premiere Wrestling Xperience in Concord, NC, has booked Suzuki v. Anthony Henry for their All Hail The King event on 10/2/2021, so that will go on the itinerary now as well!)
That wasn't all Moxley got up to this past weekend. As of Saturday night, Mox is now the Game Changer Wrestling Heavyweight Champion, after quickly defeating Matt Cardona (yes, the former Zack Ryder, who beat Nick Gage last month in what has been a masterclass of getting heat that should be studied by wrestlers and fans alike) via Death Rider onto lighttubes (which might be where the cut came from that opened Sunday). Afterwards, Moxley laid out the belt as a challenge to Nick Gage (something that has been building since Wrestlemania Weekend), which was accepted, and will take place at GCW's show in Atlantic City, NJ, on 10/9/2021.
Elsewhere, the NJPW Strong Openweight champion "Filthy" Tom Lawlor is now Tommy Two Belts, as he defeated the Black Label Pro Midwest Champion, former Time Splitter Alex Shelley, for that title at the joint GCW/BLP show 3 Cups Stuffed late Friday night, and then defended it the next day at BLP's Ground Control to Filthy Tom, defeating Daniel Garcia (late of both AEW and NJPW Strong) in the main event of that show. Juice Robinson also got involved with the proceedings this weekend, defeating 1 Called Manders at AAW's Destination Chicago show on Thursday 9/2/2021, the company's return to the Logan Square Arena for the first time since lockdown. AAW frequently books Impact talents on their shows (Josh Alexander and Jake Something still regularly feature for AAW), so that's likely how that booking happened.
All of the above events, even AEW ALL OUT, are available for purchase on FITE TV right now.
Yesterday, NJPW (and Bushiroad [and STARDOM!]) owner Takaaki Kidani gave an interview to Tokyo Sports, acknowledging the relatively poor attendances for the two nights of Wrestle Grand Slam in MetLife Dome this past weekend (barely over 2000 each night), even in light of reduced capacities due to states of emergency. Kidani recognized that attendances are down for the promotion, and even said if something does not happen soon, the three nights of Wrestle Kingdom 16 may be "duds." What's worrisome is, Kidani's solution in light of "foreign talents" not coming over (well, except when they are -- Zack Sabre Jr., Jeff Cobb, Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, Chase Owens and KENTA are all booked for G1 Climax 31), appears to be "booking more matches," which I suppose could also be read as "booking more events."
There are a few problems with NJPW right now. The amount of matches on shows is not one of them. Indeed, I daresay the reduced number of matches has shined a light on just how ponderously endless a cycle the prelude tag matches can be, and the extended Summer Struggle tour showed that as well. The problem is a lack of compelling ideas and storylines happening with the talents they have right now. No, not every feud will be Okada v. Tanahashi, but then, they don’t need to be in order to be something the crowds can get behind. SHO v. YOH has the potential to be something worth watching; lazily throwing SHO into yet another sub-faction of the Bullet Club is not the way to build interest in it. That only sort of worked last year with EVIL, because their backs were against the wall immediately following lockdown. EVIL hasn’t amounted to jackshit since. Why they went to that particular well again is beyond me.
The debacles regarding the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship loom large in this equation too. From the initial unification that got rid of a beloved belt, even among the attending fans in Japan, not just Western internet fans, to the failures of Kota Ibushi and Will Ospreay as champions, have only served to heighten the malaise among the fans. Shingo Takagi is a great champion so far; that match v. EVIL on Sunday, eh, was not. Ospreay’s absence from Japan has completely derailed the United Empire, the first new NJPW stable in over 5 years when it was formed, and now Great O-Khan, the most interesting new character in the NJPW setup in the last year, can barely get booked on shows. Sure, perhaps “book more matches” might help that, but not if it’s just endless tag matches when Jeff Cobb nor Aaron Henare can’t be counted on to be on every tour in this pandemic age. It says something that the longest serving champions in NJPW right now include YOSHI-HASHI as part of that tandem.
Long story short, there are issues with NJPW, no doubt. Kidani acknwledging the slumping attendances, especially in light of announced a three-day Wrestle Kingdom 16, is good. I don’t think he’s going about this the right way tho. More matches is not the answer. More better storylines and feuds, that might be a better idea to try first.
Well, that's all for me, for now. See you on the other side of these laptop issues.

A Slept-On Review - AEW Dynamite 08/17/2022
I'm back!
Tumblr media
CM Punk and Jon Moxley Promo
I think my notes say it best: “Holy shit fuck fire”. This was amazing. Punk and Moxley destroy each other back and forth and include a multitude of callbacks and easter eggs to each other’s careers. This is going to be a controversial statement, and I will get into it later, but this was the best part of this week's episode.
After a Powerhouse Hobbs threatening promo with Tony…
Bryan Danielson vs Daniel Garcia -  Two out of Three Falls
Ricky Steamboat is the guest timekeeper! I'm so happy he's here, and it’s so nice to see him doing well. He looks very happy and healthy. Chris Jericho also joins for commentary and actually lets the crowd finish singing Judas. Now if only he can free Daniel Garcia, but I’m getting ahead of myself. It's a Danielson match, so of course, we start out grappling. Danielson lands a punch that sends Garcia into the mat early on, and we are getting some LOUD hits from both sides. I was awestruck by the juji gatame (thank you for the commentary for helping me spell that) from Garcia. Danielson is able to slip out a dragon tamer, but overall the beautiful reversals in this match are coming from Garcia.
The first fall goes to Garcia via knockout
We come back from commercial to a bloody Danielson, and rather quickly, the second fall goes to Danielson via a sneaky pin.
They end up in the corner and get some Yes kicks (I will not call them anything else) to an upside-down Garcia. Then we get a suplex off the corner, and Danielson is officially dominating the offense. Both men end up out of the ring. Danielson did not make the cleanest dive, and I'm not saying that because he left marks on the floor.
With creativity all over, both men are now bleeding. Time to paint the mat! I have to admit, the head rubbing was weird, but I liked the long segment of interlocking. We somehow get ANOTHER beautiful reversal from Garcia. Unfortunately, Garcia can't beat the LaBell lock.
The third fall and win to Danielson. Jericho attempts to stop an implied BCC recruitment from Garcia, but the writing is on the wall. Garcia is having second thoughts about the Jericho Appreciation Society. As he should.
Tony Neese vs Just Kidding it’s another Punk/Moxley segment
Mox ambushes Neese’s match and demands an immediate match from Punk. Everyone backstage manages to keep them apart…mostly. These men are on fire and they know it.
Gunn Club vs. The Varsity Blondes
A SQUASH! It was a squash! Honestly, I'm insulted. Sure, we get a really interesting moment where Billy Gunn is turned on by his biological sons and is saved by his adopted sons, The Acclaimed. But, still, why did it have to be blondes?
Jungle Boy Promo
Or, should I say, Jungle MAN. He tried to say pussy and the whole show glitched, and I think that was a perfect artistic representation of his promo. Jungle Boy loathes Christian. Christian comes out to respond and continues to be so good at making you hate him. I’m always just waiting for him to say something horrible. Christain attempts to reconcile and seek forgiveness from Jungle Boy, even referring to him by his real name Jack. However, there is no forgiveness, just murder. Jungle Boy beats Christian with everything available, including bashing his head into the ring steps.
KiLynn King vs Toni Storm
I'm tired and we’ve reached the death slot! We get a solid slam of Storm into the ring and barricade as the first real moment of interest. These poor women. No story, no real emotional investment, but objectively good wrestling
Andrade El Idolo , Rush, & Dragon Lee vs The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega
Okay, we’ve made it to my controversial take. This match was…fine. Objectively. The fire and excitement of Omega's return blew up the excitement for this match, but also undermined the rest of the wrestlers in my opinion. What do I remember twenty-four hours removed from this match? A V-trigger and a One-Winged Angel. Otherwise, we get a typical, maybe slightly above average match.
Andrade attacks Dragon Lee after the loss, which adds a bit of intrigue before their team is completely lost in this story.
