pokemon: yeah, we've added more and more shiny locks to starters, legendaries, and mythicals bc we don't want players wasting hours and hours of their time in front of the screen not playing the game the way we want them to play it

also pokemon: let's start distributing shiny mythicals, but only after players have wasted hours and hours of their time catching/trading for every single pokemon for specific dexes, which means they'll also need to literally invest hundreds of dollars into a bunch of half finished games and their dlc's. that or they waste literal weeks of their time if its one of the shiny mythicals that are/have been distributed through Go through paid researches

it's so so so funny to me to see younger pokemon fans wailing about how "wrong" cheating to get pokemon is, because like. i come from the generation of pokemon where, unless you were incredibly lucky/wealthy, it was literally impossible to 100% a pokedex without cheating lmao

who decided reading books and writing counted as intelligence? who decided that getting high scores on a strict, unfeeling system meant you were better than everybody? who decided that people should be turned into numbers, tie their worth in society into numbers, to compare people on a scale that ultimately does not matter, so that the people who didn't dump everything to perform for it are berated and the people who did end up with nothing?

who decided not reading or writing was a lack of intelligence? who decided that living differently to them was a sign of lower 'societal worth' than those who conformed?

The simple answer to my left to right vs right to left question is that the system itself does not read left to right, rather that the number with the lowest value will always be on the rightmost side. So 1002 might read one thousand and two to us, but two and a thousand to someone reading right to left. They’re equivalent in a positional system like this

Unless you are EXTREMELY passionate about whatever field you plan to go into (and it’s decent paying) with a bachelors+ degree, it is not worth the debt in the US.

On the other hand (if you’re interested in the trades), AND there are no decent apprenticeships in your area, I would recommend getting an associates degree in that field.

Not having a traditional job or plans to get an education will have people asking you things like so what is the purpose of you staying alive?
