I think someone asked before if Shadow was involved in your pain sharing AU (probably not but) I’m giggling cause I’m just wondering if it hurts to be stepped on as a shadow or not 🤔

Oh my god this is so funny but also so sad, like imagine if it DID hurt to be stepped on as a shadow, like with the amount of people there are in the chain u bet they've stepped on four's shadow multiple times, like rip shadow link lmao

The links keep stepping on him and everyone's like "ow wtf where is the pain coming from" while four is trying to maneuver around them so they don't step on his shadow but he keeps failing and it's like a circle of stupidity and pain

I don't think i will include shadow link in my little comic thing regarding this au though 🤔 but only because I enjoy him as a tragic antagonist in four swords manga and him being suddenly alive kinda ruins that lol

I had this AU archived off my accounts for a few years, but I'm thinking about it a lot more these days so I'm digging it up for sketches.

This is Kudari from Codebreaker, functionally the starting antagonist for the story when Emmet accidentally collides with him and takes parts of his body.

For a little debrief, the main idea of Codebreaker is that Emmet discovers that he exists in a false reality, and that there is a parallel plane where all of the instructions for his reality exist. He finds his way to this plane by accident after walking back from another lonely day at work, and is hellbent on learning how to manipulate it in the hopes that he can recover Ingo with that knowledge. Kudari is his own set of instructions, who he partly dismantles, allowing him to actually interact with the code. This leaves a hollowed out shell that starts trying to find his own way to get his body back from Emmet.

I'd been thinking about the Beta Submas leaks which lead me to sketching him again. Here's the first rough warmup sketch I did with a fight between him and Emmet.

From there I just started reworking his old design to be worse 💀

Sometimes in cfau, the song lyric chapters are meant to reflect the chapter in terms of the mental state of the character the pov is from, what might happen in the chapter, or the feelings of the chapter itself.

Sometimes though, the chapter lyrics and the summary are meant to be me/the narrator mocking the character directly.

If I ever make a chapter to the song “Time Will Change You” by the Crane Wives, trust me it WILL be the latter. And it will also be a Jason POV chapter.

*appears standing awkwardly in your doorway* So uh I really love your Loudspeaker AU a lot. I'm literally in the middle of reading "Inside" and loved the comics so much. And i wanted to check in how you felt about people writing fics for it, particularly oc-involved fics (not romantic).

You can write whatever non-romantic sillies your heart desires. In fact, @ifyougoillfollow already wrote a little something for the Loudspeaker AU a while back, which I recommend reading here and here.

I'm glad you're enjoying it, and thank you for all the reviews you dropped on Inside. It spurred me on to actually write another chapter. Maybe it'll be up within the next few days...
